The kitchen area is shared with Hotos.The rest of the building is for your exclusive use, and you can enjoy your time as freely as if you were renting the entire building. This spacious property, measuring approximately 230 square metres, can accommodate up to 8 guests.Ideal for family or group trips.There is also excellent access to Yoshinoyama, a famous cherry blossom viewing spot, and Kinkōsanji Temple, a World Heritage Site. We have preserved the historic beams and tiled roof while creating a comfortable space for you to enjoy.The tranquillity of the mountains, the soft light that shines at night.Here, you can take a break from your daily routine. Due to the lush natural surroundings, we recommend arriving by car. During your stay, we provide rice and vegetables that we have grown, as well as fresh eggs from Kumano. The kitchen at the inn is also fully equipped with seasonings and cooking utensils. We hope you all enjoy cooking. Also, the only rafting spot in Japan is nearby. Please enjoy the traditional Japanese scenery. My guidebook includes information about the surrounding area. On the way to Nigishima, you’ll be greeted by the deep blue ocean known as “Kumano Blue,” and the house sits overlooking the calm waters of Nigishima Bay. To reach the house, you will need to climb approximately 50 steps (about a 5-minute walk), but a beautiful view and peaceful atmosphere await you at the top.

Mikiura Guesthouse

Reservation start from 2 person / 2 nights minimum. We accept only one group at a time so you will have exclusive use of the entire property. Guesthouse is a typical old Japanese house, not like a resort Hotel or Ryokan for business. We have no meal service. Mikiura village is surrounded by the clear blue sea and natural green mountains.
