We had a wonderful stay at the quiet home on the mountain! The space was equipped with everything we needed (beach towels, laundry, kitchenware, etc) and we had excellent views of the water and the landscape. We enjoyed sitting in the outdoor area overlooking the scenery. Additionally, we really enjoyed staying in the Povocao area and would highly recommend it. Since everything is driving distance away, it was nice to be in a quiet and beautiful area.

We loved staying in this house! Charming, cosy, had everything we needed. The ocean view from here is unforgettable. We loved the flowers around the house and the general atmosphere is lovely.
We didn't mind, but if you are staying here, take into account that you will definitely need a car. Theoretically you can walk down to Povoaçao, but it's crazily steep and the roads are narrow with car traffic, so not that safe for walking.

6 nights at Tara:
Easy self check-in. The cottage was very clean and pleasant with everything you need and even more for a long stay. Beautiful sea view.
However, the place is humid and 2 dehumidifiers must be running during the day to avoid an unpleasant smell. Occasional disgusting smell coming from the unsealed washing machine exhaust. Unable to get wifi, we contacted Tara on arrival and according to her conversation with the responsible company, there was a breakdown in the area, she asked us to test the connection regularly...the internet network was visible but no connection was possible throughout our stay.
Unfortunately, we did not find the peaceful place as described: barking of dogs from the neighbours, starting every evening around 7:00 p.m. and ending around 11:30 a.m.
Fertilizer spreading (in front) around 6:30 p.m. for one evening. Mowing the lawn from 8:30 a.m. for a morning...

We had a great stay at Taras place! The surroundings are beautiful and you can really enjoy a nice breakfast on the terrace. The location was exceptionally well equipped, with everything you need, even for a long stay. You have to be okay with some local insects, because it's normal here. The location is also a good starting place for many trips, hikes and adventures! We felt safe and private during our entire stay and can happily recommend this location. There was a small issue with the shower (a leak), but it was handled so swiftly we didn't even notice it a lot! Very responsive!
