Small rural stone house restored with private garden and parking, offers tranquillity and a stunning view to Serra da Freita and Frecha da Mizarela waterfall. Great starting point to reach the remote hills of Freita, where you can enjoy long hikes, river baths or simply visit the geological and archaeological sites of Arouca Geopark. Located in a small rural village in the hills, nearby you can find a grocery store and good restaurant with local gastronomy. Porto city is just 50 min away by car.

In the surrounding area, you can take nature hikes, tours along the Douro and Paiva rivers, visit the Paiva Walkways or discover the charms of the Magic Mountains. You will be welcomed by the host Vitó who, being local and knowing the area, will help you discover the region's charms.

Quinta Barqueiros D'Ouro - People's House

Casa do Povo is part of a group of houses inserted in Quinta Barqueiros D'Ouro, located in Barqueiros, in the Douro Demarcated Region. Taking advantage of the privileged location and view, the guest is in permanent contact with the river and the vineyard. The cottage is secluded by more privacy and surrounded by flowers! Possibility to park your car. We also propose breakfast, but it is not included in the nightly price.

Wooden cabin with about 25m2 and a porch, consisting of a large room and a bathroom with a hot water shower inside. Equipped with a double bed and chest of drawers, a wood-burning stove with an oven, a gas stove with a burner, a dishwasher, dishes, a table, benches, kitchen utensils, bed linen and bath towels.
