The house is located in quiet surroundings and there is many possibilities for hiking in the forest and bathing in the sea. The center of Fredrikstad and the college, is 20 minutes away by foot. 5 minutes to the free ferry on the Glomma river that takes you to the old town or the city center. Great cabin where you live "on" the water. The cabin is located at Ystehede, by the Iddefjorden, about 10 km from the center of Halden. Here, guests have access to a floating jetty with a bathing ladder, as well as a beach consisting of stone and sand. Here there is outdoor furniture, a gas grill and opportunities to moor your own boat. Here there are many hiking trails in the forest and if you have your own boat you can fish or take the sea route to Halden and on to the Hvalerøyene.
