INDOORS-- New construction--it's a 450 sq. ft. slice of heaven with: •Vaulted ceilings and two skylights (with remote-control operated shades) •Full-size kitchen with modern appliances including LG fridge, toaster, and Keurig coffee maker •Media center with a state of the art sound system, Bluetooth capability, movie projector, and 110" movie screen (Hello STAR WARS!) •Queen-size Murphy bed with a comfy hybrid mattress made of memory foam and spring coils, an armoire with plenty of closet space, and puck lighting (ideal for a little late night reading) •Cozy breakfast nook with comfy linen pillows •Barn door opens to a roomy bathroom with: marble floors--frameless glass shower doors--spacious fully stocked, walk-in, sit-down shower with marble bench--oversized shower head--spacious vanity •Carriage doors that can open out to enjoy the splendor of the day OUTDOORS--A resort-like backyard is awaiting you with: •Newly constructed swimming pool (38'Lx9'W) •Beautiful and serene landscaping •Stunning ambient lighting •Fire pit •Dining table •Luxury sofa chaise lounger •2 chaise lounge chairs The cottage is situated some distance behind the main house, so you'll be able to enjoy a lot of privacy. CHECK IN: 3pm CHECK OUT: 11am PARKING: We provide parking permits (day/night) for you upon arrival. If you're staying more than one night, please be mindful to switch out the daytime permit each day. (3) WE DO NOT HEAT THE POOL. IN THE HOTTER MONTHS, THE POOL STAYS AROUND 76-80 DEGREES. HOWEVER, PLEASE KEEP IN MIND IT NATURALLY GETS COOLER DURING COLDER WEATHER (65-68 DEGREES AND BELOW). Of course, in the event of an emergency or to gain access to the property, we are available 24/7. The guesthouse offers a tranquil retreat close to civilization. The metro and a variety of restaurants are easily reached on foot. Downtown Pasadena is a short bike ride, healthy walk, or brief car ride away. Pasadena is a beautiful town with so much to see! We are a 10-minute walk to the Lake Gold Line Metro Station, where you can catch the Gold Line to South Pasadena and enjoy Mission Street's shops/restaurants, take the Del Mar stop where you can take in the famous Rose Bowl Flea Market (2nd Sunday of every month), take the Union Square stop to experience Olvera Street (margaritas, anyone?) or a delicious French Dip sandwich from Phillipe's. If it's a museum you seek, exit at the Memorial Park Station to find the Norton Simon Museum, one of the best collections of visual art in the Los Angeles area. Downtown Pasadena with it's wonderful shops and restaurants is a mere 5 minutes away by bike or car (or, for those of you who enjoy some exercise, a 30-minute walk). We have two adorable dogs. They never have access to the cottage, however, so it is allergen/pet free. During your stay, we happily keep them in the house and only let them out to do their business in the front yard of the main house. You might hear the occasional bark, as they love to protect their homestead. But, most likely, you'll never hear them as the cottage is a comfortable distance away. BTW they are friendly and love meeting new people!

Cozy Guesthouse Surrounded by Nature

Convene with nature while sitting on the tranquil deck of this secluded home close to Pasadena and downtown LA. The relaxing feel continues indoors, with high beamed ceilings, warm wooden floors, and colorful rugs. Furnishings are comfy and eclectic. For the convience of our guests, a crib is offered for a nominal fee. We offer a stand alone high speed internet connection dedicated just to the guesthouse. EV charging is available for the guest. The chargers are 240 volts level chargers We have a queen bed w/ a soft down comforter, a queen size sofa bed, a flat screen TV, modern appliances, and beautiful finishing touches from my family - such as fresh flowers! :) The guest house is 100 feet away from the main house. Guests will have plenty of space, their own modern kitchen, washing/drying machine, flat screen TV, a bathroom with a shower and plenty of parking right next to the guest house. My family is very friendly - we will be living across the lot at our house. Please feel free to chat with us - we've lived in LA a long time and are always happy to offer suggestions or advice. The neighborhood consists of houses built during the '50s and '60s, mostly ranch style houses with large lots. The house sits approximately 100 feet off the main street, at the end of the golf course. It is a very quiet neighborhood. Of course, you can park your car on our long driveway! The Gold Line is 2 miles south. It goes into LA downtown Union Station. From there are different subway or metro lines which go to Culver City, Santa Monica, Universal Studios, Long Beach There are hiking trails right outside the door. All guests staying more than a week get maid service every Friday. A baby cot/crib is available for guests who have a need for it at an addional cost of $25 per stay

Free WiFi, TV (Prime and Netflix), and convenient on-site parking. Enjoy the shared patio with sofas. We have a microwave, Keurig coffeemaker, tea kettle, countertop burners, toaster oven, and fridge. However, we had to remove the kitchen sink, so we provide both hard dishes and disposable dishes, in case you don't want to have to wash them in the bathroom.
