Monthly Rentals in Peck Lake

We had a wonderful stay at the cottage by Caroga Lake. Although it has neighbors it felt secluded and totally peaceful; with a dock on both sides of the cottage and easy access to the water, it was serene and lovely. The cottage was all knotty pine, excellent light, simple but well made style, and an easy-to-use gas fireplace: perfect. We enjoyed hiking some of the many gorgeous trails nearby, cooking (there’s a Hannaford grocery about 20 minutes away), and sitting out on the dock. A note about Bruce and Susie: I usually am pained by Airbnb hosts who greets you and show you the place. As an introvert I’d normally prefer to avoid a stranger and introduce myself to an airbnb. But my friend and I were both delighted by this affable, charming couple. They were too authentic and kind to worry about being shy; and after introductions they of course left us to ourselves to explore the Adirondacks and the lake ourselves. We had such a nice long weekend I am sure we will be back.

As a couple that loves to travel, we are in complete agreement that this was the most restful, relaxing vacation we have ever had. Our trip can be described as sheer bliss in this completely private, fully furnished well appointed home with the absolute best feature you could ever ask for - a heated indoor pool! We enjoyed reading and listening to music in the pool, as well as plenty of actual swimming any time of day or night - heavenly! There is a supermarket 10 min. away to stock up on ingredients for home cooked meals, and a well stocked convenience store only 2 minutes away for simple meals & frozen food. The kitchen is well stocked with spices and everything one would need for some home cooking. There are a few places will deliver as well. Beautiful area with plenty of options for hiking and day trips. There is also a lovely wrap around deck and grill. Sunset is our family's go to for R&R when we need to get out of the city! We first discovered this gem 11 years ago and keep going back. The house is so inviting; cozy and warm, amazing views, 5 min walk to hiking trail. We cooked, watched movies, played games by the fire, and completely relaxed. We love sweet sunset cabin!
