Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Penacova

lovely, quiet country get-away. We stayed in March, but especially summer would be great for the wonderful swimming pool/area. The fresh, warm rolls for breakfast were fantastic, cold cuts, cheese, juice, milk, trade, instant coffee and lots of fresh fruit provided are a nice touch! the kitchen is basic, but sufficient. wifi is an older version but worked most of the time. the shower water is nice and hot. We checked in early evening and had some needs; the host responded very friendly and quickly. Enjoy your stay!

peaceful location to rest, the pool is small but does the job. rodrigo's family is really friendly. the apartment is new and nicely decorated. Only downside have good thighs to go up and down the slope but the geography of the region is well worth a few efforts. Better parking should be provided. We are satisfied with our stay and we recommend the cottage to people looking for calm and tranquility in a welcoming family.

We had a wonderful experience at Vumba. Since the time of our arrival, we have been greeted with great hospitality and welcomed into a house in perfect condition. Unspeakable. The decor of the house deserves special highlight, made with extreme good taste, creating a very welcoming atmosphere. We make the most of the tranquility of the countryside and all the amenities offered. The pool space was one of our favorite places to relax. However, one suggestion would be the installation of stairs to facilitate the entrance and exit of the pool, as well as an outdoor shower, which is usually customary in environments like this. It is important to mention that because we are in the countryside, it is natural to find some mosquitoes which in no way diminished the quality of our stay. We recommend, however, that you come prepared for this. It was an excellent experience, a little piece of rural paradise. And get breakfast, it's worth it!!!

Wonderful quaint place away from the noise and busy city. Breathe in fresh air. Welcoming host, personal touches like bread every morning, juice and milk and snacks in the fridge. Wonderful!

Excellent stay. Our on-site hostess was very welcoming and considerate. The setting is beautiful and the apartment is superb, very tidy, very well-equipped and really very clean. The pool and terrace overlook a splendid view of the surrounding hills. Very good location 30 min from Coimbra, 45 min from Viseu or 1 hr from Porto. Many hikes possible. Lake with possibility of water activities 15 min away. Shops 10 min away on Penacova.

Very nice place, taken care of and with a fairly large pool. Hosts are very thoughtful and friendly. The place is quite well located for those who come by car and plan to visit the river beaches in the area. There are no large supermarkets in the locality, so please note that shopping should ideally be done at once. For a 6-person space, the refrigerator is quite reduced. However, we had a great stay and recommend this accommodation for rural vacations.

Very spacious and pleasant apartment, a kitchen where everything is available for cooking if needed ( oven, dishwasher, washing machine. The bedding is comfortable. Everything is clean. Hiking departure possible from the accommodation, 10 minute walk to all amenities. Good location.

Well, what a nice surprise! A closely guarded secret! We chose to stay in Côja and at Francisco's house by sheer chance, we wanted a quiet place, away from the confusion and allow us to spend a relaxed weekend. Francisco's apartment is not only very well decorated, organized and equipped, but it also provided us with everything we were looking for. Beds are spacious and very comfortable! The pool is especially pleasant! We will certainly return and I am sure we will be well received. I recommend it!

This Apartment had everything you needed for a great stay, the full kitchen was fantastic! The river views were great and lovely at night too. The bed was very comfortable . I will try and stay here again in the future , if I ever come back to Coimbra.

Japan-themed, simply stunning house. Calm and peaceful environment, for those looking for a lot of peace and privacy. Friendly and thoughtful hosts have shown interest in enjoying the house as a whole.

This place is truly exceptional. We were three families (total of 12 people), and none of us wanted the vacation to end. Every detail in this villa is outstanding—from the fully equipped professional kitchen and the stunning pool area to the comfortable beds, stylish design, and air conditioning in every room. The villa is filled with beautifully furnished spaces and hidden gems, making it a place we’ll definitely return to. And we can’t forget Bernardo, our incredible host. He was helpful in every way, kind, and generous. A perfect 10 out of 10.

The house is very spacious, with different environments and you can welcome a large family peacefully. There are 4 rooms and several rooms with beds/sofas, all rooms with air conditioning/heating equipment. Outside space is immense and our dog loved to explore it every day. Easy and very friendly communication the hosts 😊
