Retro Retreat

PatrickRating, 5 stars3 months ago
Our stay at Retro Retreat was exceptional! The hosts were very friendly and responsive from booking through checkout. We really enjoyed our time in this beautiful part of PA. As it was our first trip to the area and a six hour drive from our home, we had a few concerns but Aden was very accessible and considerate. The RV was amazing! It was so much fun to stay in, as opposed to a hotel. The night sky was beautiful and being far from a metropolis, the amount of stars we were able to see was surreal. We definitely plan to return to the area and Retro Retreat will be our first choice for accommodations.

***Welcome Ricketts Glen Hikers

GloriaRating, 5 stars8 months ago
We enjoyed camping at Jaqueline’s home space. They were very accommodating when we requested a different spot! It wasn’t as private as the pictures lead but that means the “amenities” are close. A fridge to put cold stuff in, outlets to charge your phone and porta pots. They check in on you often (maybe too much 😊) and their house is in the same place your camping area is so they are always close by. I didn’t love all the metal and wooden furniture pieces all over the property but we still enjoyed nature, the creek walk, having a campfire and falling asleep to the rain! NOTE: wood is $13/11 small pieces of wood

Waterfall Solar Cabin and Skoolie (Feat. on HGTV)

ChicoRating, 5 stars3 months ago
We enjoyed our stay at Adam and Karen’s tiny house, the house was cozy and the surroundings were beautiful. We were lucky to have great weather and made use of the wood stove. Their recommendations for where we should go locally were awesome. We would love to one day have a space like it and will be back next year for the spring. It was definitely worth it!!!!! Thanks again Adam and Karen.

The Glamper. Accommodates 2 guests. Dog friendly

JenniferRating, 5 stars4 months ago
Loved Carol camper!! This is my second time going and it was even better than the first time because this time there was no rain so we were able to explore the grounds and surrounding area. It is so quiet and peaceful out and the farm animals were a great touch. Will hopefully be making this annual trip. Thanks again Carol!!!

Cute 30foot camper nestled in the Laurel Highlands

MichelleRating, 5 stars4 months ago
Best fire wood EVER - made for the most enjoyable fires! Slept quite well in the bed. The kids loved the bunk beds. Good cell service in area , yet was nice to “disconnect” and not have tv or streaming. The kids loved the movies and we had fun playing cards after the fire one evening. Ohiopyle park is amazing. Braddock Stone restaurant yummy and priced well. The Christmas Shop was special and has something for everyone.

Glamping at Raystown Lake

LennyRating, 5 stars3 months ago
My family and I was looking for a cozy place to stay for a mountain bike adventure weekend. This was the ideal set up, it was perfect size for family of 4, convenient ly located, literally 7 mins drive to the trailhead one way or 6mins drive to the Visitor Center & Skills Park. Place was clean, comfortable with a hot water shower. Michael (host) was extremely accommodating, left the lights on for us knowing we were arriving late. Was also flexible with checkout as we had a Sunday morning event to attend. This was truly a “glamping” experience for us. Will definitely return next year.

This is such a beautiful location! Camper was clean, the deck was so convenient, and so close to so many fun things to do. My daughters and I made memories. Mount View

RaniRating, 5 stars3 months ago
We had a great stay at Judy’s camper. The camper was easy to find. My dog loved exploring the huge yard space. We were lucky enough to be on “The Sock” during the perfect fall weather. The lake and mountain views were stunning and we got to see the beautiful fall foliage. Judy left us some chocolate, marshmallows, and graham crackers which was a lovely little surprise :) We spent our nights around the campfire making s’mores and looking up at the stars ✨ Perfect place to disconnect and relax. Thank you Judy for a lovely, peaceful stay! We look forward to coming back soon.

Nessie’s Nest “RV Campsite”

MikaylaRating, 5 stars3 months ago
Vanessa and George were such amazing hosts! They responded so quickly every time I reached out and were more than accommodating. We were a group of people coming into town for the PSU football game and this stay was in a perfect location and worked out beautifully for our group. We even got to use the hot tub after a long day of tailgating. I highly recommend staying here! The grounds are beautiful! We’ll be back for sure.

Great Allegheny Airstream

PatriciaRating, 5 stars5 months ago
We just had a wonderful 3 night's stay at Mike and Kate's Airstream. It was the perfect spot to ride different parts of the Allegheny Gap Trail. You are right off the trail so no need to ride your bike up the steep hill! The airstream was exactly like the pictures and had every amenity we could ask for. Every inch is carefully thought out and designed for comfort. The retro refrigerator was a big plus with plenty of room for our drinks and snacks. The place was spotless which was important to us. We loved the outdoor gazebo with comfortable Adirondack chairs. After our day of biking, it was the perfect place to relax in the late afternoon, read a book, and enjoy the sunset. We appreciated M&K's recommendations for restaurants and things to do. We had no idea the Flight 93 Memorial was 30 minutes away. It's worth the trip to this National Park site, if you have the time. Mike is a great host and very responsive to all our needs. Thanks for a great time and we'll be back!

RV/Camper on Buckle Cut

ReidRating, 5 stars4 months ago
We had a wonderful stay at Kara and Vince's place. It was very convenient to the KOA campground, which had washrooms with showers (as an alternative to the shower in the R/V), a lovely playground and other amenities. It also allowed us to visit with family with their own R/V on the campsite. The space is clean and quite ample, considering. A perfect Canadian Thanksgiving in the woods!

Sportsman Lake & River Retreat

Tranquil rural setting.RV privately placed perfectly on property to view the magnificent countryside and the farm happenings that coincide with that. 17 minute bucolic ride to Rocketmoto outdoor entertainment for an event we were at. Liz and Bryan were able to great us and go over everything as I was new to RV life.Plenty of parking ( and hot water for showers too!😀) Definitely rebooking with more time to sit in the outdoor chairs and gaze at the surrounding beauty

Scenic Camper rental

EliseRating, 5 stars3 months ago
The stay was absolutely lovely despite lots of lady bugs staying with us :) it was very clean when we arrived and very easy to get into. The bed was extremely comfortable and provided for a good nights rest. I would recommend this campground to anyone who was planning a trip out that way or need a halfway stopping point to NYC! We loved the RV and plan on camping back to stay in the other assortment of rentals as well.

A Getaway in the Country! Great 4 PSU Games!

KellyRating, 5 stars3 months ago
Place was cute and easy to find, clean and matched pics. Please note that as this is a travel trailer, be mindful of the limited water supply. We could have used more than two towels for our family of 4, but we didn't ask for extras either so that may have been easily remedied with a little effort on my end. The place was warm and clean and met our needs for a short weekend trip. Host was friendly and communicative, and the area is beautiful.
