Feel close to nature while being close to conveniences of shopping and nice restaurants just down the mountain in Salem and Roanoke. One bed/bath with a pull out sofa in living room. Pet friendly! Bring the whole family to our cabin with lots of room for fun. This cabin sleeps eight people very comfortably. This cabin is located just outside the main entrance of the Fairy Stone State Park in a very quiet and safe cabin community with private roads, take a stroll or let the Kids ride there bikes while you enjoy a relaxing vacation! There is lots to do within a short drive from the cabin, from fishing to shopping and dinning in nearby towns, Vineyard tours and wine tasting, and much more.

Nestled in a clearing in the woods, this dog friendly newly remodeled cabin is a short walk to Smartview Recreation area and hiking trails. Whip up a home cooked meal in the well appointed kitchen, then enjoy the privacy and birdsong as you eat out on the front porch. Take your pup with you to Chateau Morissette winery, just 18 miles away, or relax on one of the porches and watch the deer or fox stroll by.

This cozy cabin is tucked in private woods, yet steps away from the Blue Ridge Parkway, 2 epic hiking trails, a winery and mountain & road biking options. If you opt to hop in a car, you are 5 minutes away from a 2nd winery, scenic overlooks, or a zipline adventure. The snug cabin offers a small, but very functional kitchen, a wide main porch with a charming view, and an outdoor upper balcony. The property is surrounded by woods, a small meadow and springs ripe for exploration.

Falling Pines Historic Cabin

The original log cabin was built in 1936 by the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC). These cabins were built after the Blue Ridge Parkway was laid in 1935, which is just down the street. With love and attention our cabin's renovations were complete in 2017. We kept the original log walls to add a rustic feel to the contemporary, crisp clean decor. The cottage overlooks the babbling waters of Back Creek but is just a 5 minute drive to the grocery store, private yet convenient.
