Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Pictou County

My husband and I stayed for a week and had a lovely time. Everything was very clean upon arrival and there are all the amenities one could need! The home is bright and spacious, with the large patio door and windows that provide beautiful views of the water. The large deck is wonderful to sit and enjoy. Scenic, quiet and peaceful. We felt so relaxed and at home here. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Doug and Sandy have created an exceptional airbnb, and they have thought of everything a guest might need to feel at home. The eat-in kitchen is completely stocked with great utensils, dishes, and pots/pans for cooking, baking and meals. And, lots of extras - books, games, two television, wifi, and more. The hosts did not cut corners on anything you'll find here. From the furniture and decor, to the thick towels, linens and comfortable beds, these hosts have set themselves apart from most airbnb's you'll visit. We took advantage of the world class sweeping water views from our Adirondack chairs on the deck, and loved the fresh air during our coffee time each morning. The sunsets and full moon were gorgeous, and wow, what an incredible stretch of open sky! We saw eagles, Canada Geese, and sea birds throughout our stay. Doug and Sandy have done a super job capturing Nova Scotia's hospitality, style and charm, and we will definitely be back for another visit!

Heidi’s cottage was wonderful. Beautiful location with stunning views from all windows. The cottage itself was clean, very well stocked with everything you’d need and very tastefully and thoughtfully decorated. Highly recommend!

Paul and Eleanor have thought of everything. Very clean and spacious, and a very comfortable bed. Very much appreciated the warm breakfast to start my following day.

Stayed here for a 3 weeks while working in Pictou. A very comfortable place to come and relax at the end of a long day. The Sonos sound system was a personal favourite of mine I had music playing all the time! Good fire pit for evening fires and a short walk from a very nice beach that has lots of good rocks and shells for collecting. Scott was very welcoming and gave us a full tour of the house. Would recommend anyone that is in the area to stay at the braeshore beach house whether it be for business or pleasure!

The host was great very responsive and accommodating.. Our stay was nice and relaxing with all the amenities of home. Nice quiet area with a lovely view .

Has everything there you could need during your stay. Would not hesitate to stay again!

We absolutely loved the space!

Lots of nice touches: lights on when we arrived, snacks (even milk and yogurt!), shampoo, board games, etc. It is not super clear from the listing, but the shower is at an angle, quirk of an old farmhouse. Taller people won't find it all that comfortable . We were also very excited about the hot tub, but less excited to realize it was around the back of the house. On a slippery cold winter day we chose to not take advantage. Overall this is a solid pick and I would not hesitate to recommend. Thanks for a great stay!

inside was great, clean, had everything we needed. the outside had a bunch of broken down trailers and garbage around. it was winter so not a bid deal but this would cause me not to book in the summer.
