Monthly Rentals in Playa de Oro

My family stayed here for 3 weeks in March, and we would 100% stay again. We loved the location, primarily for the proximity to the following: town/malecon, playa mann, fishing pier where the kids jump in, and the park right out front. As for the inside of the unit, everything worked flawlessly (except for the multiple times that parts of town lost power) as we cooked many meals, did lots of laundry, ran all A/Cs often. If I had to give constructive feedback to the owner, it would be to improve the master bedroom mattress (we found one side to slope weirdly), add nightstands next to the beds, and provide a full set of dishes/bowls/cups for 4 people.

This apartment is a great place to base yourself in San Cristobal if you're travelling solo or as a couple. It's modern, clean, super close to the main pier and has pretty much everything you need including Netflix on the TV. It's on the 2nd floor of an apartment block with a digital code entry system and a key for the main entrance. There only a couple of apartments in the block so it's quite quiet. The laundry facilities and veranda are on the 3rd floor. Next to the apartment block are several decent restaurants, a cheap bakery and an artisan bakery (both good) and some mini marts and pharmacies. It's excellent value for money but the hosts don't speak much English so the induction is basically how to operate your apartment door. Most things are easy to figure out so you don't really need the full intro and the host is quick at responding on the platform if you do need anything. All in all great value for money.

Thanks to Carmita, who greeted us and always had easy solutions for laundry and rides, etc. Lunch at her restaurant next door included delicious patacones. The air conditioner cooled our little house rapidly and felt wonderful after a hot day in the sun. We met the friendly owners of the Tropical Minimart just down the street, where we purchased a bottle of pina colada mix we enjoyed with fresh pineapple using the kitchen blender which crushed ice perfectly. We watched the sunset every night enjoying our happy hour. Sula Sula Cabana is a couple blocks from the campus and Playa Mann. It’s an easy walk to restaurants and piers. Our favorite restaurant was Umami, which we returned to almost daily. We snorkeled at La Tijeretas, punta Corola, and Loberia with sea turtles, sea lions, rays, parrot fish, large schools of surgeon fish, porcupine fish, and so much more. Magical. 360 tour: highlight, swimming with Hammerheads and black tipped sharks @ Kicker Rock. We treasured our stay!

We enjoyed our stay in Jorge’s apartment. It was much nicer than the photos. The view was spectacular. Jorge was extremely responsive & helpful. We had a great time & would recommend this Airbnb 👍😀
