We had a great time at Anita's! Although the house has it's "old" charm, it was cleaned very well and it felt cozy. To reach the house, you have to walk in front of the neighbours house and can start talking to them. They gave great instructions and even helped jump start our car. You also get to meet Lucky, the neighbours dog, who is very cute and just wants to be petted all the time and even likes to sleep in front of the Airbnb. Anita was a great help and helped us with parking, freetime activities etc. We would recommend everyone to stay there if you want a relaxing, quiet vacation :)

We had a wonderful stay. The house is just like it is an the photographs and is so peaceful. I don't think I've stayed anywhere as quiet before. We loved the pool and in the evening watching the sunsets and the bats fly around. Many have commented on the drive to the house, yes it's quite daunting the first time you drive up as it's very steep, but once you've done it once, it's not a problem. The house is about 10 away from Omis, but driving in/out each day was not a problem. There's lots to do nearby from river boat tours, the Zipline, rock climbing, quad biking and kayaking. Omis has some lovely restaurants and shops. The beach to the south of Omis is beautiful, crystal clear blue water. We spent two lovely mornings there. I thoroughly recommend staying here and it's been added to our list of places we'd like to return to one day.

What about this listing?!? Everything was perfect, you feel like you're far from everything and at the same time beaches, shops, restaurants are 1/4 hour away. The house was sparkling clean and we didn't want anything. And so hosts… unheard of!!! A warm welcome! Address that we will inevitably remember!

This was an exceptional experience! We could not have expected anything more. The house, the location, and especially our hosts were above and beyond on all accounts. The house is like a little museum, beautifully decorated with original 150 year old furniture and local village artifacts. It has a fully functional and well equipped kitchen and a traditional ‘komin’ - a grill house in which we enjoyed cooking local style, and from which we were served delicious food made by our gracious hosts on our final night. The house has been in the hosts’ family since it was built and they care for it accordingly. It is nestled in the spectacular mountains above Omis and a car is necessary to get there but it is worth every second of the ride. The view is stunning from the hills and it’s a great vantage point for hiking. Sonja, our main contact for the accommodation, works professionally with tourism and loves to travel herself. She knows EVERYTHING about the area and provided us with tailored recommendations for hikes, beaches, restaurants, adventures. We cannot overstate how pleasant and helpful she was. She speaks German and English, is lovely, punctual, generous and even baked me a birthday cake. We’ll be back!
