The Ida Bailey Allen Suite provides refuge for Frontline workers during the pandemic. We have adopted CDC recommended enhanced cleaning/disinfecting procedures. The space was created to honor my grandmother, food authority and nationally known radio personality of the 1920's and 30's. It is welcoming, peaceful, and surrounded by woods. The cozy, "tiny house" feel with vaulted ceiling and sky light makes it unique. Windjammer Guitars is also on site!
“Such a cozy spot to stay! We stayed a few nights and are locals, so this was a stayvacation for us. Mariana provided some breakfast pastries, light snacks and juices for us. We had a couple private lawn chairs and great parking. All instructions are provided as well. Internet was fast. She respected our privacy but always had fast communication. Great place and would recommended!! One FYI note- above the bed is a skylight, which gives beautiful natural lighting and cloud watching, but if you are planning on sleeping in late- this will prove difficult.”
Our sweet cottage is a serene haven, located on pristine Ponagansett reservoir, 30 minutes from Providence. Come for swimming and fishing. Relax on the deck, play on our little beach. “What a treasure! I hardly know where to begin. The location on the lake is just spectacular. The cottage had the perfect combination of real & rustic while still being clean & comfortable. Tom’s communication was great, and we felt completely at home. Extra touches like fresh tomatoes from the garden, delicious fresh laid duck eggs, a yummy fresh key lime cake loaf, a bottle of wine...I’m probably leaving something out, but there were so many things what made us felt welcome and well cared for. We had perfect weather and really enjoyed the lake during the day, swimming in clear clean water, fishing, boating, and enjoying evenings at the outdoor dining area, grilling, and making a bonfire. Tom and Penelope’s place reminded me a lot of lake cottages I’d enjoyed years before in Minnesota. Despite living back out east for many years I was completely unfamiliar with the area- so close to Providence. We look forward to coming back! P.S. I hardly ever listen to music radio, but the local music channel (playing when we arrived) took me back and played just the right music for the environment. So good ;-)”

“I’m not sure I have much more to add to all the previous rave reviews. We loved our stay and would surely book again. We came to visit with or daughter who is a student at Uconn. It was the perfect setting for the visit. There was plenty of room for the 4 of us. Doug quickly answered many of my texted questions. Make sure you try his amazing sour dough bread! It’s a lovely setting with great views. Enjoy!”
