Mid 19th century, recently restored cottage, next to church in the centre of the beautiful village of Dunster with its castle and medieval yarn market. Floral Cottage has been decorated in keeping with its age but to give a light, airy feeling and finished with quality antique furnishings.
“This is a great place to stay. We stayed over Christmas with our three boys. The hospitality was excellent with small food items to help you through the stay. The property is clean and really well located in the beautiful village of Dunster. There are quaint little pubs within walking distance which serve great food and local ales. The host was exceptional and the setup great. Always contactable and really accommodating to making your stay as simple as possible. Thank you. We will definitely be back again when we are looking for something in the area.”
Cosy traditional Shepherd's Hut, recently refurbished. Set in the tranquil Brendon Valley at Leeford Riverside Campsite beside the East Lyn River in the heart of the Exmoor National Park.
“Hazel's place was amazing - I would recommend it to anyone!!! Myself and my partner stayed for 3 nights and had such a nice time. On arrival the bed was made up for us and Hazel had left us some eggs and milk which was such a nice touch. The bed itself was bigger than expected and so comfy - had no issues sleeping! Outside there was a little table and chairs but there was also a small storage container which had camp chairs, a fire pit and some logs. The site itself was lovely, warm showers, clean toilets and such a well-kept field. Will definitely stay again.”
What could be more romantic than staying in a luxury Shepherd's Hut high up on Exmoor, overlooking the sea, in the valley where Coleridge wrote Kubla Khan? Open throughout the year, you'll be protected from the elements - but at one with the glorious countryside that extends in all directions. With first class facilities, this is the Rolls Royce of Shepherd's Huts - the countryside hideaway you've always been looking for.
“Bring it on Ciara!! Our stay in Xanadu fell during the midst of storm Ciara hitting the country. The hut was amazingly cosi and warm inside. So toasty and warm in fact, we didn’t need to light the Log Burner for warmth at all, but we did anyway for the lovely flickering flame. The location is perfect, Jeremy couldn’t have been more welcoming despite our need for a late check in. We had everything we needed for a lovely two night stay for two - to cook breakfast, have a lovely warm shower, perfect views, large comfy bed, the hut was spotlessly clean. We were advised that mobile phone signal was poor, despite this we had 4G via EE - but mobile signal isn’t what this place is about. The directions we were given to get us to the Farm, despite seeming confusing sat at my desk at work, made perfect sense as you turn off the A39 and head to the farm. We’ll definitely be returning.”
