This cozy and lightful cottage is totally renewed, located in the center of a small portuguese village, near Leiria, Batalha, Porto de Mós and Alcobaça. It is a great place to find inner peace and rest your mind or to pratice outdoor sports. At the same time this amazing place is located near the most famous beaches, as Nazaré, Paredes da Vitória and São Pedro de Moel, taking you only around 20 minutes by car.
“The house is amazing! The whole structure is very new, well maintained, well equipped and with incredible details! Everything perfect! The excellent location was not enough, they still had delicious oranges and lemons from the backyard! Dário was also very accessible for immediate communication. I highly recommend the accommodation for anyone who plans to visit the region and also for those who want to enjoy a cozy and super cozy place in a group!”
Welcome to the Watermill. Stay at this amazing centuries-old completely restored watermill - most likely the most special house where you will sleep at. The building was adapted to our modern days, while keeping typical elements that make it unique - the wooden ceiling, antique furniture and of course the river that runs beneath it. Perfect location to visit the beautiful "Centro" region and for some well deserved rest - you certainly won't forget this incredible stay.
“António has certainly been one of the kindest hosts I have come across in my travels. Not only was his communication prompt and helpful, he readily came over when there was a power overcharge and his father even came over to help me with the fire. It also happened that my plans coincided with a meeting he had in a nearby town, and he offered to take me there with him. Truly above and beyond! The house itself was enchanting, and felt right of a fairytale. The fire was one of my favorite features, and I enjoyed just curling up by it after a day out and about. It was as described, to mention this, and I am very glad that I made the decision to stay here. The town is quite neat, with a castle maybe 20 or so minutes walk away, and relatively near Batalha and Alcobaça. I would stay here again, and thank António for welcoming me!”
5 km from Fatima, this house is typical of the Sierra de Aire region, built in stone with many centuries of history. It is inserted in a recovered village (Pia do Urso). Here you will find a quiet space to rest, enjoying the peace transmitted by the sounds of nature. If you are a hiking lover or a mountain biker here you will find answers to your hobbies. There is! ... and do not forget the camera, we will be here to provide you with a good stay. See you later.
“I stayed at the cottage for a weekend trip from Lisbon, and it was delightful. Not knowing the area, there were plenty of places to visit: little walks accessible directly from the house; visiting surrounding towns/cities, and also walks within the national park. I would recommend coming by car, as it was very nice for us to freely move around the beautiful area. The cottage was very clean and had all the amenities we wanted. The bed was firm but comfortable. The only drawback, I’d say, was that the interior received little natural light, so we had to have the lights on even during the day (the stone houses seem to always have very small windows...). Our visit was during the off-season (feb) and there were two heaters which made the house cosy. João Carlos was extremely nice and welcoming — an excellent host!”
