“Extraordinary space! A beautiful suite set in bucolic Graeagle...close to the little town of Graegle with restaurants and shops and also to the great outdoor offerings of the Lakes Basin. We had 2 cars and Zoe and her husband graciously gave us their paved driveway close to the suite, which has a private deck, which is partially covered--lovely seating during a late afternoon rain storm! The room is gorgeous, with a big bed piled with pillows and a beautiful cover. Lovely touches like robes, DVDs, lounge chair and comfy rocker. A big shout-out for the bathrooms--a jacuzzi tub, a large shower with 2 shower heads and 2 sinks...the bathroom is huge and well-appointed with lovely organic products. Great small kitchen with fridge, microwave, coffee maker and hot pot, hot plate and toaster oven. There is coffee, tea and treats...many dishes and appliances to make an easy stay. That we could only stay for 2 nights was the only downside. Thanks, Zoe and Mike!”

“I can’t recommend this place enough. It’s everything you’d want in a place you’re visiting. All the details in the house were so thoughtful. There’s so many options for activities to entertain yourself from board games, corn hole, so many books, bocce ball and so much more! There is also the most beautiful outside area where you can relax and enjoy the evening. There’s hot showers, wifi and Chelsea is really great with communication. The rooms were clean, the beds were comfy! I would definitely recommend staying here!”
The Blithedale Suite offers a 4-poster queen bed in the main bedroom and a second queen bed in an attached bedroom. A private en-suite bathroom is attached to the main bedroom. Rooms at the Inn all feature original wood floors and restored windows with views of the gorgeous valley and surrounding mountains. Common areas include a library/lounge area, guest kitchen and outdoor seating areas.
“The Gilded Drifter Inn is a very special place for a very affordable price. Chelsea’s excellent sense of style is evident everywhere you look. There are nooks and crannies throughout the house filled with art, books (real literature that you actually want to read) and thoughtfully curated vintage artifacts. The beds were comfy, the sheets were soft and everything was clean. There is a shared kitchen with everything you need to cook a meal and eat outside (or inside). If you’re lucky enough to stay over the weekend there is an attached restaurant with fresh, local food. We borrowed the bikes that are provided for guests and rode around the little town at dusk. Beautiful view overlooking the field across the street. Oh, and it’s pet friendly. This place is perfect. Can’t wait to return.”
