Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Portsmouth

The Landing was perfect for our weekend getaway. We stayed during the quiet season and felt like we were the only ones around. The house is designed to maximize the view of the water from where ever you are. Our weather was rainy and cold but we stayed cozy and warm by the fire. Being able to bring our older dog was a plus. With clear instructions and everything we needed in the house, we did not have to reach out to John much, but when we did, he was prompt and helpful. We would definitely rent again!

We loved Alan and Alexis’ place. It was a great location to stay while visiting our wedding venue and exploring Newport and Narragansett with our moms. Couldn’t have been more pleased!

A wonderful place that felt even larger than in the pictures, surrounded by beautiful scenery, offering complete privacy, and the perfect touch of a delicious hot tub experience under a snowy night.

Bryan's place was perfect for our family of 4 and 1 dog. The house is close to Newport and all the area has to offer. It is exactly as pictured and was even more roomy than expected. We had plenty of space for everyone. Bryan was responsive when we sent questions and was able to accommodate our earlier than planned arrival. Thank you, Bryan! Kelly & Family

Very large space. bedrooms are equipped with the necessities. Kitchen isn't stocked immensely well if you plan to do any real cooking but it's fine in a pinch. The house is a little draft in the winter, probably because the window ac units were left in and the exterior doors have large gaps on the bottom of them, but for the price is was fine. There is a park nearby which is convenient for those bringing pets. Communication was sparse but existent prior to the stay and covered the explanation regarding how to get in, but nonexistent during and at checkout when concerns/questions arose. There is only parking for 3 cars, even though the house sleeps 8. Something to keep in mind. It is very obvious that the house is exclusively used as a budget airbnb and it shows in the care in which the property is kept. that said, it gets the job done.

I had a fantastic stay at Suzy’s Airbnb! The house was clean, spacious, and had everything we needed for a comfortable visit. Suzy was an incredibly gracious and responsive host, making sure we were well taken care of. The location was perfect, and we felt right at home. I would highly recommend staying here and would definitely return in the future!

What an incredibly cute farmhouse near everything. For those who appreciate early American architecture this is a little gem. The original flooring through most of the house and builtins are a welcome reprieve from today's boring minimalism. The mix of antiques and newer pieces are a nod to the design sense of the owner. The extra large farmhouse kitchen makes you want to make a big meal and just dine in or out as there's seating in both. I slept on the full bed on the enclosed porch and found it to be a little slice of heaven. I highly recommend this little gem and hope the owners write a little something up on the history of such a great house.

Kenneth’s place was clean, comfortable, tastefully decorated and looked just like the pictures. We felt right at home and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location was perfect! We were able to walk easily to the nearby beach and it is only a few minutes from all of our favorite restaurants. If you’re looking for a few quiet and peaceful days away from everything, this is the perfect spot.

This was a great find, my father and I enjoyed our stay, had everything we needed and more. Lovely neighborhood close to the water and the hosts were so helpful, I can tell they are attentive to their home and improving their listing. Although — it’s already great as it is. Very cozy spot, we loved it!

My dog and I spent a few weeks at this property and immediately felt at home. The area felt very safe, as I walked around town every night. Everything you need basically is within walking distance.

We had a very comfortable relaxed stay! The space was clean and well equipped. The beds were soooo comfortable as was all the living room furniture! Craig was very responsive and accommodating to our schedule. We lived the location and made two visits to the close by Big Red slide and walked the beach! So close! I highly recommend this place and can’t wait to return.

Great location and lovely space. We didn’t mind the stairs, but wish there was a designated parking spot. It wasn’t a problem to find a spot though. LOVE that there was no huge to-do list upon departure. Always feels more like a vacation when the host doesn’t give you chores. Thanks for a lovely trip! Highly recommend.

I’ve stayed in this home several times. The home is beautiful with a nautical theme throughout. Norm is always friendly, proactive, and responsive. It’s very quiet in a gorgeous New England setting. It’s like a second home when I’m in Little Compton.

We loved our stay at Michael's and Kara's beautiful house. It was so comfortable, clean and had everything we could possible want. We wished we could have stayed longer. Michael and Kara are so friendly and welcoming. They have this sunroom that is so very comfy. We will be back.
