Vacation rentals with a firepit in Potomac River

We had a great time at this airBNB. It was private, quiet at night despite some neighbors being close by. The house is better than the photos! It was perfect for our group getaway with the games downstairs in the basement. we explored local wineries nearby. would recommend this home! Next time we come back to the area we will try to stay here again! Lisa is a very responsive and helpful host.

Jeff was an amazing host, very responsive to any questions we had during our trip. House was in beautiful condition, and was conveniently located to anything in Gettysburg. We will definitely look to stay here again for our next trip to the area!!

Excellent stay at RivahLife! The views were spectacular and the home was exactly as described. Easy to find with lots of stuff for the kids and adults. Looking forward to returning during the warmer months as the fishing, boating, and swimming would be more desirable. Thanks for the high chair and portable crib. Those things really help when traveling with kids.

Seth and Carla were extremely responsive during our stay! We loved how many beds this house had and we were able to all spend time together while comfortably being seated around tables/living rooms! We wish the fire pit had seating or that fireplaces worked, but we loved this property and its proximity to wineries and ski resorts!

A clean and attractive modern country cottage that is clearly designed for AirBnB travelers. Good lighting and seating. Lots of linens and toiletries. Firm but comfortable beds. A thoughtful touch is the bedside tables with reading lamps and built-in outlets, including USB. Good closet space, though no shelves or dressers. We found plenty of coffee, sugar, and creamer, and a few drinks in the fridge, though no snacks like others have mentioned (but that was fine--we bring our own!). Tons of outdoor space that is great for families, kids, and pets. We will hope that Cozy Corner is available for our next visit to the area. p.s.: Finding the property and entering the house after dark is a little tricky; we recommend asking the host for additional information if you will be doing that. And as others have mentioned, there does appear to be an exterior security camera, even though the listing says that there is not.

My wife and I loved this place! It was quaint, quiet, and perfect for a short weekend trip. The views were definitely the best part! The owner was also very communicative which is always appreciated. Five stars deserved.

I had a very nice stay here for about 10 days while visiting Baltimore for work. It’s an easy-to-locate basement apartment below their home, in a residential neighborhood that felt overall safe, especially for some of the surrounding areas, and it has a designated parking spot on a cul de sac. The apartment is exactly as described and pictured, very comfortable with a nice bed with fresh linens, good pillows, and a very nice updated bathroom and shower. Tamra was very responsive and took care of a small detail that was missing immediately. Overall it was an convenient, cozy and comfortable stay!

It was an absolutely fantastic experience! From the moment I arrived, everything was seamless the check-in process was easy, and the host provided clear instructions that made settling in a breeze. The space itself was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had a cozy, welcoming atmosphere. The attention to detail was impressive, with thoughtful touches like fresh linens, comfortable furniture, and all the amenities I could need. The kitchen was well-stocked, making it easy to prepare meals, and the living area was perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The host was incredibly responsive and friendly, going above and beyond to ensure my stay was perfect. Their recommendations for local dining and activities were spot on, and it was clear they genuinely cared about their guests’ experience.

We really enjoyed our stay at The Nest! Diane was very responsive before, during and after our visit. The location was perfect, quiet and peaceful, but close enough to lots of things to do and see. The space was sparkling clean, comfortable and beautifully cared for. We look forward to visiting again!

Harrison is a great host. He was very accommodating with helping me find a parking spot for my suburban. Harrison is very friendly. He answered all my questions and went above and beyond to make our experience great. Harrison and Nancy brought board games down for us to enjoy while we relaxed after walking around the city all day. The private enclosed space is nice for dogs and I bet is a great place to hang out in the spring and summer. Unfortunately, it was chilly when we were there so we weren’t able to fully enjoy the space. I highly recommend this beautiful convenient place.

This is our third time staying here! Perfect weekend getaway location to hike, see the stars, and enjoy the company of friends.

Hudson was terrific. He responded when we asked a question but left us alone otherwise. The bathroom was large with lots of amenities, even individually wrapped makeup removal wipes & tons of towels. The 2 bedrooms were equally well stocked with extra blankets & pillows. The mattresses were comfortable. While we didn't cook any large meals, we found there was plenty to cook breakfast. There's a huge supply of spices & assorted coffees and sugars. The living room couch was comfy and the outdoor space was pretty with cafe lights. The laundry room was always available. We were in DC to visit our brand new grandson; it was so handy to clean spit up, pee, and poop. Hudson is pet friendly. We had our daughter's older dog with us and Hudson was respectful of Finn's needs and contacted us before coming into the apartment when 2 lightbulbs burned out. Hudson installed them quickly. The shower is a French farmhouse type so you will need a shower cap. We would not hesitate to stay there again.

This was such a cute place. It was so spacious, way more than we needed, but for the price, it was a steal. I would recommend this lovely home to everyone!

Staying with Mr Jane was a pleasure. The location was perfect, the apartment was cozy and spotless. The place was well-equipped and the beds were surprisingly comfortable. This is a peaceful downstairs apartment with private entry and beautiful backyard with swimming pool. Mrs Jane was always available to answer our questions. unforgettable experience! Highly recommended!" 

Bryson was a fantastic host—friendly, responsive, and full of great local recommendations. The house was adorable, clean, and well-stocked with all the essentials, making for an easy and comfortable stay. The neighborhood felt safe and was perfect for dog walks, with charming houses and great shops within walking distance. Loved exploring Strawberry Street’s market, gift shops, and the beautiful flower shop, plus Shields Market had everything I needed (including forgotten toothpaste!). A wonderful stay—I’d definitely return!

Staying here was a treat. Quiet, peaceful, clean, and phenomenal location really make Anju's place stand-out. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting, or even looking for a few nights away if you live in the area. Easy to reach downtown and directly across from Rock Creek Park for those looking for nature nearby!

A rustic cabin in the woods for some R and R was what we had hoped for…and we got it! Beautiful wood beams. So nice to have a private bathroom, as well as a window unit for heat and A/C. The shared kitchen was less than 50 feet away and had all the cooking vessels, utensils and cookware to make a meal. But we loved going to cafe! Barbara and her team served up delicious meals.

This cabin was the perfect place for 3 lifelong Army friends to rendezvous! The cabin had everything needed to enjoy nature by hiking, fishing and front porch conversations. Mark rapidly communicated and made our visit perfect.

We loved our stay at this cabin! The view is great, and we especially enjoyed using the grill to have a wonderful outdoor meal. Eugene was also a friendly and great host who was attentive to our needs!

My family and I had a nice stay at Kayla’s cabin. The place looks just like the pictures. She was very attentive and responsive. Kayla gave great instructions for things around the cabin, directions getting there and things to be aware of. The Cabin is located near the end of the road up a mountain a bit but not too far up. There are neighbors nearby but I never saw anyone. Overall pretty private and definitely quiet. Jacuzzi was great and fire pit is legit. There is a nice view of front royal off in the distance at night too.

Had a great time visiting this private getaway. The hot tub was absolutely wonderful after they came to clean & drain it the first day. This is a perfect location for someone looking to get away and experience nature. There is a brewery located about 24 min drive away that had great food, drinks, and is also pet friendly. Also visited Capacon Resort State Park; the trails were very well-maintained and Park Rangers great at providing recommendations. The park is also pet friendly. Daniel was very responsive and accommodating. Would definitely recommend and visit again!

Darlene and Tim are wonderful hosts. They take pride in their property and in making sure you have a great stay at Happy Bottom. We always feel refreshed and right at home. The cabin is perfect for working remotely, using as base camp for fishing and hiking in the area and relaxing by the river in the well appointed river bar. My pup had a blast getting to play in the river and exploring the property. We can’t wait to return to Happy Bottom. Thank you, Tim and Darlene!

Where do I begin? We definitely got a beautiful Airbnb while staying at LRBB. We were expecting a beautifully appointed & decorated place to stay. It did not disappoint! This place offers a somewhat heart-stopping, yet exciting trip on the road up the mountain, but when you turn into the driveway to the house, you feel as though you have just won the lottery! This place is very remote, but you do have a neighbor through the trees, which we did not mind at all because, as night falls, it becomes pitch black dark outside! You are more or less, are off the grid as well - they do have 2 Wi-Fi routers, so you do have internet while in the house. Our dogs enjoyed their stay as much as we did & I loved how accommodating the hosts were! We never did explore the area, so we never found Wardensville…I think that we came in from the other side, (so bring groceries if you are not adventurous). A true gem, We did not want to leave!

Brian, Thanks for providing a beautiful and very clean cabin. This was our second stay in Sun Set cabin, and look forward to visiting again next year. The view is amazing from the back deck. We were fortunate to be there during the planet parade on 2-28, it was an awesome site from the hot tub. I would highly recommend your cabin to anyone who wants a secluded private place to escape reality sometimes. Thanks again!!
