Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Powys

This was the second time we’ve stayed at Danny's house and we love it. It was clean, well-appointed with plenty of supplies and everything worked. It has a pleasant, dog-friendly garden, with decent outdoor furniture. Location-wise, it’s in a pleasant estate 10 minutes from the bridge or 15 from the centre of town with a Spar 5 minutes away for any emergency supplies. The two double bedrooms and two twins are comfortable with plenty of storage space. The upstairs bathroom was well supplied and the outdoor loo and lockable bike shed were fine in daylight hours. Loads of information provided on local hikes and trails. We'd happily recommend it to anyone.

Excellent stay in Bishops Castle, with plenty to do. Lots of walks and excellent places to eat/drink. Playing fields are within 2 minutes walk for those with a dog. The property is much bigger than it looks. Would highly recommend!

We had a wonderful time in a place we knew from childhood. Excellent accommodation - could not ask for better. We would definitely try and book The Artist's House if we return to the area. We felt really welcomed.

I loved everything about this place, the bed was very comfy and the location was perfect. The bath and shower are wonderful and so is the soap and shower gel and linens available. I loved the eco friendly toilet paper too. Two points to note: there was no chopping board I could see? Fortunately most of my food was already prepared so it was not a big deal. And I believe it is the hot water tank that makes a noise intermittently? So, if you're a light sleeper like me, you'll need ear plugs despite being in very quiet and peaceful countryside. I loved my stay here it was very special and I would stay again when visiting the brecons!

Stayed on Claire's place for a long weekend with friends. Absolutely stunning house, awesome garden, amazing views and super peaceful. Photos don't do it justice - it's an amazing Airbnb! Would love to stay again one day :)

This is a great Airbnb with good amenities and decent wifi. The private outdoor seating area is an added bonus.

Woodpecker Cottage is a wonderful place to stay, comfortable, well-equipped, and full of charm. Gyles is a fantastic host; welcoming, thoughtful, and always happy to go the extra mile to ensure you feel at home. The log burner was a real treat and made our stay even more special. Thank you, Gyles!

We LOVED our stay here! The home is fabulous, so many spacious rooms to explore, each one decorated in a great way. The outdoor space is amazing, and was such a highlight of our stay, from the stunning countryside views, the lush pool, the immaculate sauna out building (a hot tub on the balcony or outside would be a cherry on top of a delicious cake). We also loved that the house was so well stocked in the kitchen and cupboards throughout the house, which made it easier and more enjoyable to just chill at the house. Everyone said that they're beds were super comfy too. The neighbours were very welcoming and helpful too, it was a lovely start to our stay meeting Les! It was easy to communicate with the host, and they messaged us 24 hours before check out to let us know we could check out later which was fab. Would definitely recommend staying here with a big group, plenty of space for everyone with a fab social dining table. Diolch yn fawr

We had a fantastic stay in the Brecon Beacons for the Easter holiday. Clare was a very welcoming host who provided easy to follow directions and a very hospitable welcome including fine cake and prosecco. The accommodation was exactly what we wanted with all the amenities described including gym and hot tub. The home is very well located for walking, it is even possible to walk to Pen y Fan directly from the house! A special thanks to her son-in-law T who was very helpful and enjoyable company!

Beautiful view from a fantastic lodge. spacious and clean, really comfortable beds. Hot tub was warm and ready for us! Host is really responsive and helpful. Would highly recommend. the whole park was spotless and the staff are friendly. The pool closes at 4.30pm.

Spacious and comfortable house for our family of 6 during a rainy February half term. The main reason to rent this place was the pool and sauna which didn’t disappoint and was great for our kids. There is a builder’s merchant right next door to the house which isn’t obvious from the photos but was not a particular problem with respect to noise etc. Lots of great walks nearby - which we will have to rediscover in the future in better weather! Thanks to Phoebe and the owners for making us feel welcome and for being available and responsive to our questions.

Lovely hidden family staycation! Lovely location with loads of parking Easy check-in 13 mins drive to Breacon! Brilliant hot tub with amazing views (Only comment would be Chlorine content was a tad high for anyone with sensitive skin) Kitchen and bathroom were clean and cosy! Kitchen is fully equipped with amenities (Sauce pots and trays were available but no frying pans which is no big deal) Lovely welsh biscuits on arrival! Definitely recommend for a lovely retreat!

Karl was a great host and responded very quickly. He was waiting to meet us when we arrived, very welcoming and showed us around and how everything worked. House was great and surprisingly big, much more spacious than the pictures do it justice! Had everything inside that we needed and was very quiet and private. Garden is secure unless, like my dog, they're keen to jump fences!! Beds were super comfy and we got a great night sleep every night. Loads of walking nearby and a great base to explore the Elan Valley and local town, both of which are lovely. Thank you very much, we were sad to leave as we had a great time!

Beautiful cottage that had everything you could want/need and more! Katie provided everything that we needed for a short break, utensils, pots/pans etc and the games were a lovely addition too😊 The location is absolutely stunning, there was nothing better than watching the sunrise from the hot tub listening to the wildlife! Would recommend the cottage to anyone looking for a break away to relax with friends/family. The goats and ducks were also very cute!

A beautiful place for a little quiet escape of life and all its moving pieces.

We had a wonderful stay at Susannah’s beautiful and cosy farm house. The place was set in breathtaking countryside, surrounded by gorgeous sheep (and lots of lambs!) Susannah accommodated all of our needs (from elderly parents to two small and bustling 5year olds!) our twins absolutely loved the gardens and wanted to play outside with the lovely toys Susannah provided all of the time! It is also only 40 minutes from Snowdon (part of the reason we came to stay) so it was everything we needed. Everyone had such a fantastic time and would hope to come to stay again sometime. Susannah and her brother Dave were so lovely and communicative; quick to respond to our questions and really flexible. I would highly recommend and have passed on their details to a few friends who are also planning a stay in Snowdonia.

What a lovely stay we had at Rachel’s place! Wisteria cottage and the rest of their property is gorgeous and they put so much care and attention into it. The cottage was clean, adorable, peaceful and quiet and we would absolutely stay here again. Thank you for your hospitality!

fab few days away in a quiet locations. The hosts responded quickly to us when needed. The lodge had everything we needed and Hot tub was a fab bonus. There was also a folder with useful numbers in and info on surrounding areas. we would highly recommend a stay at this lodge.

We spent a lovely couple of days in X as a group of three. The cabin was surprisingly spacious, with two proper bedrooms, a large bathroom, and plenty of room in the kitchen and living area. The kitchen was well-equipped with everything we needed to prepare our meals. The house itself was very cosy and spotlessly clean, and Liz was incredibly quick to help whenever we had any questions. The view from the windows was simply stunning - we could have spent the whole day just watching the horses grazing and taking in the beautiful panorama. A lovely and unexpected touch was the treat from the hosts, which we really appreciated. Would definitely recommend and hope to come back!
