A more than 130-year-old log cabin in the cultural heritage landscape of Suvanto takes its residents on a time journey to a 19th-century Ostrobothnian village. The destination is best suited for lovers of Lapland's nature, history and silence, who are not afraid of the dark in winter or mosquitoes in summer. Please note: there is no public transportation to the village, no toilet in the main building, nor a shower. There is a separate sauna building outside and a traditional outhouse behind the sauna.

The rush to get to the bridge that cross Kitinen goes wrong as the village landscape opens up in the front left. Fields with hairdressing haystacks make for a sense of time to stop. Koivula House is located in the architecturally valuable village of Suvanto, where the oldest buildings date from the end of the 19th century. Here, if where you can hear your own thoughts, nature is just a step away Pelkosenniemi Municipality Center and Pyhätunturi activities in both summer and winter are about a 20-minute drive away.

Adorable luxury cottage for four on Suomutunturi

An all-new winter cottage built in a traditional log log frame in 2019. In the cottage, you can relax in a hotel-level bed looking at the fireplace. The small kitchen is superbly equipped. A great sauna heats up at the touch of a button. The cottage is located in the immediate vicinity of Suomutunturi, about 140 km from Rovaniemi Airport. In addition to skiing and skiing, the area also has excellent opportunities for outdoor activities and camping in the summer. The hotel rents skis and organises tours.
