Family-friendly vacation rentals in qathet Regional District

Really enjoyed our stay, would happily stay again. Exactly the stay I was looking for, ocean front, could hear the waves, loved it. My son was so happy there was a hot tub! Comfortable beds and lots of space.

We had a lovely time. Doreen and Doug were extremely responsive and helpful even when the power unexpectedly went out during a storm. We would definitely come back the next time we are in Sechelt.

Wendy's place was awesome! My family had a great time staying here for a week in late March, and found the place to be very comfortable, spacious and well-appointed. It was really nice to have a fully-stocked kitchen - even niche items like a cake mixer and vegetable steamer were available (indeed - baking cakes and steaming broccoli are both things we are known to do while on holiday 🙂). My kids also loved playing with the cool toys in the treasure chest in the main room, and picking out new books to read as bedtime stories from the shelves in their room upstairs. I would highly recommend this as a great accommodation for families on a Vancouver Island holiday.

We loved staying at Michelle’s place. It was very clean and relaxing and the place had all amenities as described. The hot tub was a special bonus after hiking and water sports. Michelle is very responsive and friendly. We would definitely book again!

Our family of 10 stayed at Annette and Ken’s for 7 days in August. It was even more amazing than we expected. The house was perfect for our large family with the huge seating area in the kitchen/dining area overlooking the yard and beautiful beach. We swam in the clear ocean and kayaked (provided) every day. I can’t say enough about this perfect spot or the friendly hosts. We will be back!

We had a great time at Paul's place, private and peaceful. Watched the stars from the hot tub and sunset from divers rock (quick walk). The snorkeling around divers rock is fantastic at low tide, provided the ocean chill doesn't take you out too fast! The yurt was a really neat experience, well insulated and quiet. Would definitely stay again!

Loved our stay at the Little Bear Cabin. Richard went above and beyond to get the hot tub set up in winter conditions. The wood fired hot tub is great in the winter and worth the effort. Thank Richard for a great time!!

Million Dollar view... What more could one want. Very peaceful, loved the sounds of the sea lions being the only sound one could hear, no traffic, no voices. LOVELY. Cabin has most of what you might need to make a meal, comfy bed. A nice place to return to after a full day of hiking.

It was a joy to spend 3 nights at Hearts Delight! The chalet is adorable and the perfect size, with two adults and a small/medium dog, there was plenty of space and the kitchenette was perfect. Leah was a fantastic host with quick responses and easy communication especially as we arrived late on the first night! It was a gorgeous area and we will be happily returning in the future!

Gales airbnb was absolutely lovely and a perfect place to stay during our time in Powell River! Great location that is a short drive from hiking trails, restaurants, and breweries, and a comfortable and clean living space. Check in was very easy, and she had even left out fresh fruit and croissants for us! Would absolutely stay here again and recommend to others :)

If we could leave 6 stars we would. Not only what we were hoping for when we booked but somehow exceeded expectations. George was a super friendly and accommodating host. We felt very comfortable immediately and appreciated the gracious hospitality. We hope their place is available next time we visit the area. Thank you for having us and making our short stay so memorable.

Thanks for having us! What a beautiful, serene environment, the dome is truly magical. Roisin is a wonderful host - kind, responsive, and helpful with many recommendations for the local area. The sauna was a welcome bonus, and we enjoyed our time greatly. One tip for future guests - don’t think it snows that much in Lund, but if so, suggest to bring an AWD or 4x4; local country roads can get a little a hairy. Thank you again Roisin!

Great place to stay on beautiful Cortes!

We had such a wonderful time on the sunny coast. Chantal and Alex went above and beyond to truly host us. We had so many thoughtful discoveries within the stay that we took note of. No spoilers; go and stay and experience for yourself! We really felt so comfortable and had every possible accommodation already thought of. Any questions we did have were entertained extensively. We even forgot an item and our hosts expedited finding it and getting it mailed to us! The location is quiet and the place is really private. We had everything we needed for a casual night in; lounging space and dining amenities, as well as entertainment galore! We also were close to trails and beaches as well as a nice central location for exploring. Ten outta ten would recommend staying here and we totally will again one day if we’re lucky enough to! Thanks Chantal and Alex!!! 🙏

A great place to enjoy the coast for a weekend! Brett has done a superb job making the cabin cozy & welcoming. The kitchen is well stocked with all you need to cook at home while staying here. The cabin is close to Sechelt for all amenities. We will be back in the summer!

Really enjoyed staying here - it was wonderful!

Perfect location for trail walks, seaside walks and great bakery near by. The kitchen was amazing and so much fun to cook in. The beds were comfortable and living area spacious. Danielle and Mark was great for communication and checking in to see if we needed anything. Couldn't have asked for a better stay.

James was a great host! Their location is walking distance from loads of trails and the coast. We visited on a rainy weekend and found the space to be super cozy to hang out and play games and music (we enjoyed the novelty of the records and playing the accordion and guitar). When the rain cleared we went for a beautiful long hike just outside their door. They were super warm and welcoming hosts and we loved getting to chat when we crossed paths but still felt a sense of total privacy in the suite. Would absolutely recommend the suite for anyone making a trip out to the sunshine coast. It was perfect for a winter getaway and I imagine even better in the summer with loads to do.

We stayed at Melanie and Paul's suite for 4 weeks with our dog for a work trip. The space was gorgeous, quiet, and well-stocked with amenities. The fully-fenced yard was tranquil with a lovely garden. Melanie and Paul were kind, responsive and friendly hosts. We (especially our dog) loved how close this place was to trails and beaches, while also being a short 5-minute drive to grocery stores and restaurants. Bike commuting to the Comox hospital was straightforward from this location. Overall a fantastic place with awesome hosts.

We had a lovely stay, enjoying the sound and view of the crashing sea waves and beautiful sunsets. We would happily stay again! Just to be aware- there will likely be sounds of a child playing upstairs during daytime hours. Didn’t bother us, but could to some of you expected silent privacy.

The cabin of your childhood dreams…sit back, relax, enjoy the lake and connect with family/friends. North Lake has fabulous swimming and almost no bugs. The cabin has a lovely view and lots of different areas to sleep. Lynne was a great host, very attentive and communicative. We had a lovely time, thanks Lynne.

It is the most wonderful airbnb we have ever seen and stayed at. It felt like home. Ever room is nicely furnished and Charles and Vanessa definitely have an eye for details. We had fresh flowers in the vase on the table, home made cake every day and more than enough of various traditional and healthy options for breakfast in the fridge and cupboards. These and a selection of fruit were constantly refilled!!! The kitchen has a perfect equipment and the unique bed is very comfy. The bathroom is modern, all well looked after, spotless clean and so cosy! We had a bbq and garden chairs in the outside area. Vanessa and Charles are very caring but not intrusive and were always approachable for any question. The little General Store is a few steps away and sells everything you need from groceries to sun cream etc.. The small beach is just over the road. It is a quiet area with next to no traffic. I highly recommend this airbnb and I hope we will be able to come back (we live in Germany).

This is a little Oasis. We loved touring the gardens and saying hellos to the ducks and chickens. It was wonderful having three private rooms for our group. The local recommendations he provided were helpful. Make sure you order some of their baking and preserves while enjoying your stay. We were lucky enough to try their fare at the farmer’s market. Delicious!
