Once you arrive in Milford Sound, emerging out of the Homer Tunnel you will be captivated by the surrounding mountain ranges and plummeting waterfalls. Enjoy a delicious picnic lunch on a breathtaking, bespoke small boat nature cruise (small boat is a maximum of 75 people) on the Fjord. Whilst taking in the magnificent jaw dropping views keep an eye out for dolphins, fur seals and penguins. Come fish with a professional NZFGA certified fly fishing guide and take home the memory with a professionally cut together and personal movie of your day. Small group size with a maximum of 3 persons per trip. This is an ideal adventure for one to three adults or with children over the age of 12. I will introduce you to fly fishing – you will learn to cast and spot fish, and maybe catch your own trout, in a stunning environment on one of New Zealand's world-class fishing lakes or rivers. I'll provide instruction on choosing your fly, casting and placing, and of course, what to do when your fish bites! Note: fly fishing, or angling, can be a rewarding and addictive sport, that takes you to some of the earth's most beautiful and unspoiled places. It is an art form however, and beginners in your party may not catch their own fish. However, we ensure you have an exciting and informative introduction and a great day out! (This adventure is intended for beginner and novice fly fishers. If you're already experienced I do also operate full and multi-day guided fly fishing trips). Other things to note You are required to purchase a fishing license for every member of your party. This can be done online; a one-day licence costs from $20.

Glenorchy Kiwi Special Tour Come along with Queenstown Expeditions as we take you on our Glenorchy Kiwi Special tour of fun, entertainment and ultimate sightseeing. Departing at 1pm travel onboard our purpose built 4WD luxury safari vehicle with glass roof and discover our amazing story telling of history as you travel back in time. Studio 42’s 3-hour Jewellery Class is a creative adventure where students learn the skills to design and create a piece of silver jewellery from scratch. It’s a hands-on class full of learning, laughing and producing something exceptional to take away. WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT? To start, you will do a quick trial project to get comfortable with the tools and equipment, covering techniques such as sawing, filing, soldering and polishing. With your new skills, you will then have the freedom to design and develop a piece of silver jewellery of your choice. Depending on your designs, you may also incorporate disc cutting, roller printing, doming, texturing and blackening the metal; all skills that your instructor Jess will be there to advise you on. WHO IS THIS CLASS FOR? Every skill level is welcome to join this 3-hour class. From complete beginners to seasoned pros, everyone can make Studio 42 their own. If you do have previous jewellery making skills, you are more than welcome to work independently at your level. This 3-hour class is one of Queenstown’s “must-do” experiences and a great rainy-day option for solo travellers, couples or the whole family!
