  • An evening of Illusion
Your evening with Declan Wong - Illusionist begins with a complimentary welcome glass of New Zealand wine (or non alcoholic beverage) and the sharing of a plate of his famous dumplings with a divine special sauce. It's time to break the ice so this is a perfect opportunity to mix with other guests (maximum 6 in a group) and enjoy relaxing after your busy day in Queenstown. We'll follow with two more of Declan's chinese dishes, learned at his father's New York restaurants and including dishes not served in NZ restaurants. We'll serve another glass of divine wine should you wish, to accompany the food. ** Food and wine is vegan-friendly** And now the magic begins! Declan will wow you with an up-close and personal illusion show – demonstrating an art that he has performed on stage and in movies. After his performance he will move on to close-up sleight of hand, interacting with you and encouraging you to watch as closely as you like! We guarantee you'll be amazed, wowed and perplexed! Note: this experience is all about magic and the charge is for the Illusion show. However we invite you to enjoy complimentary food and wine with us, your hosts. Children under 8 years are welcome to accompany you at no cost.

  • Wineberry 'magnum' - Full Day Wine Tour
This is a private & exclusive tour, perfect for small groups of family & friends (also available as a half day tour; see 'demi' listing). The calendar is flexible so please message me if your preferred date is not listed. Here in stunning Central Otago wine country you'll discover a wide range of wines including Pinot Noir, Rosé, Pinot Gris, Riesling, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Gewurztraminer. You'll visit 5 vineyards in distinct winemaking sub regions on this great value day out. I will pick you up in the Wanaka & Cromwell areas. We'll drive through the Cardrona Valley in a luxury SUV to the Gibbston region for our first tasting at one of the most awe inspiring vineyard locations in the world. We then follow the Kawarau river to the Cromwell basin. Our next wine tastings take place in the Bannockburn vineyards followed by a stop in historic Cromwell. Here a platter lunch with wine tasting can be booked in advance on your behalf with expenses (approx. $20 per head) payable by you directly to the cellar door. We return to Wanaka via the shores of Lake Dunstan and taste distinctive wines in different terrain from where we started our day. Our final stop will be at a winery overlooking the stunning scenery at Lake Wanaka. I am a photographer and will take pictures of the tour free of charge. At the end of the day you will be dropped at your accommodation.

  • Ride to the Sky Queenstown eBike Tour
Take a ride to the top of Grant Peak, 800 meters above sea level overlooking just about all of the Wakatipu Basin. (it may sound hard but remember you're on an eBike and it has a magic button 'TURBO' that flattens hills) What makes this trail so magical is the spectacular scenery showcasing the very best of Queenstown's natural landscape. This is an exclusive location, you'll only be able to get there with me. Learn about the local European and Maori that the Wakatipu basin is steeped in. The gold, the Pounamu, farming and in recent times all played an integral part in what Queenstown looks like today, 360 views only 5 minutes from the airport. Other things to note This eTour is for the confident/intermediate bike rider, not for the novice rider. Be smart, dress for suitable weather.

  • Wine Tour & Māori Culture Wanaka
    1) We depart Wanaka and pick up from your Wanaka accommodation at 11:00am with the Māori greeting the Hongi establishing the connection with you the guest and the Māori people of New Zealand and the land, then with a 5 minute drive to Aitkens Folly or Rippon where a selection of Pinot Noir, Gris, Sav Blanc and more will be in tasting. The second winery being Māori Point near Tarras, then we visit the Dessert Heart winery. Then onto either Mt Difficulty, Wooing Tree or Akarua before our drive back to Wanaka. Along this tour you will get a insight into the Māori footprint and history from many hundreds of years ago of the beautiful Otago region and the Queenstown and Wanaka region. We aim to get back to your accommodation about 3pm, but to be honest the experiences always go about an hour over time because we have so much fun!!!! Other things to note Bring a camera so you can get photos and video of the Maori culture experience, and beautiful scenery. If you can't see suitable availability, send me a message and I'll see what I can do to host you.
