“I stayed here 2 nights with my friend and three dogs, we really enjoyed it! The cabin is super cute & cozy inside and outside has a big deck for relaxing, outdoor shower and firepit. The kitchen is stocked up with basics that make cooking and prepping meals super easy. Lots of windows and screened doors kept it pretty breezy and cool temperatures plus they provide some battery-powered fans. We had planned to spend part of a day tubing but our hosts said the water was too low. So we decided to just hang around the camp and ended up putting our floats in between their two swimming holes and hung out on case rock- it worked out and we had a great time regardless. Great mornings drinking coffee and reading & laying on the hot rocks next to the cool river! The river water was about 2.5 ft deep when we were there. Flows quick in some parts- hard to cross to the other bank. My friend slept in the bedroom which was pretty big room and comfortable full bed. I opted to sleep in the loft (instead of on the futon in the main room) it was a little tricky getting up and down into the loft but the bed was comfortable and I was happy there was a window. I was a little concerned about needing to give them the hour of my arrival- that is not how my road trips usually work- but they were okay with me checking in as my day progressed and tightening up the window. Glenn took us out in the ORV- its about 5-10 min ride through kinda rough terrain to get to the cabin- we just made due with whatever we forgot in the car because we did not want to walk back and forth. Overall it was a great combination of rustic camping and cozy cabin.”

“Stephanie's place in the heart of Birmingham was a wonderful "home base" for a week exploring the city. It was perfectly clean, honey and cozy. Stephanie was a fantastic host who responded quickly, gave great local suggestions and prepared the apartment well in advance of check-in for me. This was a fantastic home away from home!”
This gorgeous 1BR1BTH puts you in the HEART of all Birmingham has to offer! You do NOT need a car. Restaurants are around the corner of our Apt. building, a 5 min walk to Five Pionts South where you can find all the award-winning restaurants, shopping, nightlife, historic churches, Zyp a bikes, etc.; 5-10 min or less walk to UAB hospitals & clinics, research buildings, students residents and academic areas, concerts and shows, and more. Everything is CLEAN and BEAUTIFUL!!!
“We enjoyed our stay. Check in was easy and communication from host was clear. The location is fairly centralized between Mountain Brook / Homewood areas and downtown Birmingham. We went to the zoo and botanical gardens and the drive was short and easy to navigate. The apartment has a full kitchen, which is nice for longer stays, and feels cozy and private. It also includes washer and dryer in the unit. A couple of potential concerns to note: I will say the toilet is in a very cramped spot between the wall and the bath tub. A larger person would have difficulty sitting on the toilet in the traditional posture and will likely have to get creative with how they position themselves in order to use the toilet effectively. Also, although the neighbors upstairs were not loud, you can definitely hear them walking on the hardwood and moving chairs around and that sort of thing. Lastly, we walked to dinner our first night (Jim ‘N Nicks) and it was very nearby but there were a significant number of homeless/panhandlers which made us uncomfortable and feel a little unsafe on that street (not the same street where the apartment is but nearby). These three potential concerns are not the host’s fault at all but something I mention in the interest of giving candid and comprehensive feedback from our experience. In addition to the House Rules there is also a House Manual for this listing which is something I’ve never seen before. The expectations written there are pretty easy to comply with and a few of the requests are listed as optional. I would definitely recommend this place and would absolutely stay here again in the future. The bed was comfortable and the apartment was clean. We felt right at home and had everything we needed to be really comfortable during our stay. The hosts were very polite and responsive to messages through the AirBnB app. Thank you for having us 👍🏼”
