Family-friendly vacation rentals in Raglan Harbour / Whaingaroa

After two weeks of utilizing airbnbs in NZ, this property has by far been our favorite. Beautiful views, walkable to great restaurants, very clean… we can’t say enough good things about our stay here. We just hope we can return soon!

Bridget's place was perfect for our stay. In fact, it was our second summer holiday visit and perhaps not the last. the house was comfortable, super clean and had everything we needed. There are so many things to do in Raglan. It is great that so much of the action is within walking distance. Having a nice base to come back to and relax really made the holiday.

Amazing view of world class point break surf locations indicators and whale bay. You can hear the rumble of the waves. Comfy holiday home with all you need for a surf or scenic getaway. Spa is after surfing or swimming exploring is a bonus

We had an awesome stay with 3 families with young kids (we booked the annex too). The house is surrounded by beautiful trees and is very private. The hot tub was a fun addition. The deck area is awesome for relaxing. The lounge is spacious and the kitchen is well stocked. The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable and there are plenty of bathrooms. The bush was from the bottom of the property to the beach was beautiful and a must-do! Awesome house! Would stay again!

This was the most amazing Airbnb I’ve ever stayed in. The property was absolutely stunning, cozy and well equipped. Kathy left so many thoughtful gifts around the place and we felt so at home.

Beautiful property. So close to the biking trails. Peaceful setting. Happy chirping birdies. Well cared for property with a bounty of flora to brighten your spirits.

Had my parents stay over for a few weeks and they really enjoyed the unit. The house was fully equipped and felt very homey. It's located right in the CBD, so getting to places was just a short walk or drive away. A couple of things to note: light sleepers might be affected by the vibrations from passing trains in the evening, as there’s a railway down the street. The house is also right by a fairly busy road, so you might hear some traffic noise throughout the day. Additionally, all the bathrooms are located upstairs, which could be inconvenient for those with mobility issues. Overall, this is a wonderful place to stay—especially for longer visits.

Absolutely amazing location amongst rolling farmland. Beautiful, private beach within walking distance, no light pollution equaling breathtaking stars and for the nerds out there - Weathertop from Lord of the Rings is nearby! The house has everything you’d need, including one super soft bed and one super firm bed, satisfying both kinds of picky sleepers. The hosts were very friendly and responsive while also allowing us privacy - if you’re looking for peace and solitude, this property is it! There is zero cell phone coverage in this area but the WiFi worked perfect. We will definitely be back!

Great stay. We had a conference nearby & this was a great house to walk into town. Nearby restaurants & shopping. House is great - lovely art and very cute decor.

Great place to stay, quiet location and accessible to the main centre. Layout of the house was great with older kids space and adults space. Clean and tidy space with a great deck space outside

This is my second stay here because I loved my first visit so much. The house is beautiful, accommodating and perfect for visiting Cambridge. Every little detail has been considered. Bedding is gorgeous and you’ll sleep well in comfortable beds. The gardens are a great place to relax after a busy day sightseeing. Easy walk to town and Saturday markets. Yes I will stay again.

Incredible location with an oceanfront view of the surf at Whale and sunrise and sunsets. Just a few steps out the back gate to paddle out at either Whale or Indies surf spots. Large decks and beautiful landscaping. The wood stove was great to take the chill off at night. Would definitely stay here again.

Sharon and Chris were wonderful hosts and we had a beautiful and peaceful stay. The place was clean, warm and cozy, it became a home away from home, with beautiful views and well equipped amenities. The hospitality that our family received from Sharon and Chris was above and beyond our expectations, we felt welcomed and well attended to, and appreciated the handy info on local spots to see. My husband enjoyed his morning walk right from the front door and my two and a half year old son loved getting to know Kamal. We loved our stay and hope to be back there one day.

Mel’s cottage was absolutely stunning! Bed was so comfortable. Clean fresh and comfortable linen. Cottage had everything we needed and a lovely breakfast was provided.

Stayed for 18 nights, Fantastic place to stay short or long term. Personally my long term stay was perfect. They gave me a off street car park for my work UTE, it has its own access to the unit/room so you can come and go as you please. little kitchenet for cooking, a very big bathroom and a open plan living area. WIFI was super fast and a nice heat pump for heating or cooling. The area was definitely in more of a up market area which makes it feel very safe. It was only a 10min walk to a big Westfield mall or 2 mins by car. Would 100 percent stay again.

Beautiful location. Quiet and peaceful meant a great night sleep. The loft was spotlessly clean and had everything I needed. Hosts were friendly and helpful. The only very slight negative was the driveway was a bit hard to find - but that was google maps fault. I talked to Liz about this and she now has a new link to help people find it. Highly recommend staying here.

Stephen And Sue's place was perfect for my needs while attending a workshop just a few minutes away. Very comfortable, clean and had everything I needed including breakfast cereals and milk.

We loved our stay at Megan's place. Very homely & so nice to be in the countryside. Great outdoor space to chill & have dinner - a wonderful relaxing spot . Megan was warm & friendly - we will return !

Bayley's cottage was absolutely gorgeous. Beautiful furnishings, and a large and comfortable space to stay in. It had everything we needed, with a large selection of games and books, and was very relaxing. The farm was lovely, and we wandered round to see the horse and the cows, and made use of the tennis court and pool. It's a very central location for day trips to Karapiro, Cambridge, Waitomo, Matamata, Morrinsville, Raglan, with Te Awamutu shops just down the road. We would happily stay here again. Highly recommended!
