We had the most incredible time, thanks Jemma and Alex for sharing your awesome property with us it was a real treat. The accommodation was very quirky cool and spacious. Really toasty warm with the fire pumping throughout the night and day. The rain head shower has great pressure and heat fast. With The Apiti Tavern just around the corner it was perfect walking distance (less than 2 mins) offering divine food with a great hospitality. If you are looking for country quiet, want to take a trip back in time away from the big city mod cons like a microwave and Wi-Fi, surrounded by vast paddocks where the locals waive as you pass by then this is the place to be. (Does have cellphone reception) One thing we know for sure is that we will be back in a heartbeat and never wanted to leave. Thanks for the experience, Adrienne and Tony (Wellington)

If, like me, you want a peaceful and relaxing stay in quiet and beautiful surroundings, then this is YOUR place. Everything was perfect. And like amazing Kiwi hosts, milk in the fridge and friendly and helpful! The scenery is just beautiful here, the birdsong and river and trees…..what a place!

We had a nice and relaxing night of rest here! It was fun exploring the farm and spending time with the animals.

Annelies’ bank was amazing. I love the way she has kept the originality of the building but has made it completely liveable and comfortable. Annelies was very generous in the provisions she left - bread, eggs, muesli, yoghurt, chocolate etc. We really loved Kimbolton as well - lots of history, great walks and really enjoyed our evening at the pub across the road. Hopefully we’ll be back!
