Sally was amazing!!! Highly recommend her place. She was extremely communicative - quick to respond and answered general questions unrelated to our stay but more geared towards the area. Super helpful and accommodating. She has a very cozy place that’s a prime spot if you’re looking to hike in the national park. It’s walking distance to two restaurants and a gas station. Very happy we selected this spot.

The views were absolutely stunning and I’ve never experienced such breathtaking scenery. The location was perfect, just a short distance from Tongariro National Park, one of New Zealand’s most beautiful parks. The host was incredibly kind and responsive, always making sure we had everything we needed. The beds were so comfortable, and I had the best sleep after a long day of hiking. The garage was a huge bonus, making it easy to store all our gear, and we rented a van which was incredibly convenient to park inside. The washer and dryer were very useful for cleaning up after our adventures. There were two bathrooms and two showers, which made getting ready in the mornings a breeze for our family. The small touches were greatly appreciated, like the coffee pods the host left for us, which made for a cozy start to the morning. There was also a swing outside, perfect for relaxing and soaking in the views. Overall, this place was perfect. Highly recommend!!

Homey, light filled clean house. Very well equipped for self caterer. Good heating. 15 minute drive to Whakapapa Visitor Centre. 2 minute drive (or walkable distance) to bars/restaurants, 4 Square supermarket at petrol station and liquor store.
