My spouse and I stayed at Vicki’s house over the weekend and thoroughly enjoyed it. The room and bathroom were clean and beautifully decorated. Vicki responded to all questions promptly and was an all around accommodating host. I’d happily stay here again!

Staying at the Green Farm is truly a joyful and must-have experience when in the Troy area. John is an exceptional host, providing meticulous care and attention not only to his guests but to the home itself. From the beginning, you are welcomed by beautiful greyhounds and a thoughtful host who prepares the most delicious breakfast! I stayed in the John Waters room, which was amazing—very eclectic, remarkably clean, and the perfect little nook to rest after scouting around town. Whether you’re there for work or leisure, all the amenities provided are top-notch. I definitely will be going back, dreaming of another little getaway!

Susan is an absolutely delightful host. Just enjoyed her so much. The room in the house is very comfortable and large with a private bathroom attached. My daughter and I enjoyed this lovely Hudson Valley hamlet. Susan goes above and beyond. Wonderful breakfast and coffee in a beautiful breakfast room. Once again, Susan makes the place extra special. We loved our visit.

As the other reviews have mentioned, John is a beyond excellent host!!! And very responsive! He is also very knowledgeable and helpful regarding shops and restaurants in Troy. Nigel and Margaret (John’s greyhounds) are also very good companions at this Inn! The decor in the rooms and in the shared rooms and hallways is just beautiful and very interesting! And he serves delicious homemade breakfast! With alfresco dining as an option in the warmer weather.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I found the inn last minute and couldn’t have been more pleased. The place is gorgeous and clean. John is the most kind and gracious host, and breakfast was delicious. We stayed because we had a concert in Saratoga Springs. What a beautiful and comfortable place to come home to for the night. We hope our adventures bring us to Troy again soon.

We could not have loved the Gardner Farm Inn and John more! Everything was perfect - both our air-conditioned bedroom and bathroom were spacious, beautifully appointed, and extremely clean. The king-sized bed in our room was deliciously comfortable and quiet. Our breakfast was sumptuous and delectable. John is a delight, and went out of his way to accommodate our arrival. His two dogs are the sweetest, gentlest creatures imaginable. And you will fall in love with the 1790's era house and its amazing collection of curios. Highly recommend staying here - it's a real treat!

I don't want to give a good review of this place and of Charles because then you will book your stay there and it won't be available when I want it! we are not AirBnB people for the most part but have to say we really enjoyed our stay and the hospitality of Charles. This is a unique place with lots of character. many pieces of artwork adorn the walls. Chairs with sculpted arms. Breakfast was quite enjoyable with good conversation with the host. It is a city location, so keep that in mind. The rooms are in the back of the building so it was nice and quiet. Our room had the benefit of off-street parking; a real plus.

Among the best and loveliest Airbnb places I've stayed, here or abroad, this my second visit. Spotlessly clean, quiet, very private despite being just off a major city avenue. Safe and interesting neighborhood, recovering from the abandonment seen everywhere in the old cities of the Mohawk Valley and less than ten minutes from downtown Troy. Beautiful interiors--antique furniture, and art everywhere. Excellent coffee, fresh fruit and delicious local pastries each morning. And Charles is the perfect host--consistently and promptly responsive, attentive to detail, warm and friendly without ever being intrusive. Highest recommendation.

This is one of the most beautiful places we've stayed in. Charles has a designer's eye, and the general atmosphere of the bed and breakfast is luxurious. We slept so well and appreciated that pastries and yogurt were always available in the mornings for breakfast. We would definitely stay here again, especially since it's so close to Troy and Albany.

The host was very nice! Everything was very clean including the bedding, towels, robes, bathroom etc. I highly recommend!
