“Salvo is a fantastic host. First, his communications were very prompt. Any question I had - he answered immediately. On the night of our arrival, Salvo graciously met us at 11:00 at night. The next morning he came brought us pastries and milk, and gave us directions on how to see Etna. The house itself is perfect. There were 4 of us (2 couples) and we felt there was so much space to mingle in. The front patio became our favorite place to sit and have drinks and cigars. The kitchen was perfect to cook in (the dishwasher was very handy) and had everything we needed. The laundry room included a washer - which was very easy to use, as well as drying racks. The bathrooms are clean and well appointed. The bedrooms were spacious and included plenty of places to put away clothes. The location of the house is perfect. A 5 minute walk to coffee, 7 minute to market, and 10 to places to eat. We were very, very pleased with the house. It is a great value for the price. We would definitely return if back in Sicily. Thank you, Salvo!”

“Very friendly host. The house is spotless and with a really nice pool and terrace area. We had about 30 degrees all week, so we stayed a lot out there. If the weather is bad, there are not so good conditions for indoors as there is no living room. If you need to work, it is done on a kitchen chair at a dining table. We received a very nice welcome and despite the host's lack of English we were well understood and even though we arrived late, she drove out for pizzas. It was absolutely super. There was also a nice fruit basket and a bottle of wine. There is coffee, spices oil etc. Car is necessary for everything. Restaurant, shopping etc. and if you come to lie by the beach, then you have to drive relatively far. The area is not suitable for walks, but when you enter the door of the house it is like stepping into an oasis. One thing we were not so happy about, but it is not the host's fault ,,, on both sides of the house there are dogs, and for several days we were, to say the least, getting crazy from listening to their glam. It was completely out of proportion. And the nights were also challenging in between because of the neighborhood dogs. The iron door to the area makes a great noise when it drives in, and it made us wake up more nights / mornings from 7am. 05 onwards when the neighborhood cars were going out, so you need a good sleeping heart or hearing aids. The location is good compared to trips around northeastern Sicily. If you are lucky enough to come where the dogs were not at home, then it is an absolutely recommended place.”
Meraviglioso appartamento sul mare
“Giovanni's place is ideal for a quiet stay by the sea in Sicily. The place is very relaxing, with a nice backyard area and views of the ocean. Giovanni and his brother Frank were great hosts, organising a transfer for us from the airport and then Frank himself even drove us back when a driver wasn't available. A car would be good when staying here, but we got by fine without one. It's just a short train ride to Catania if you fancy it and there are plenty of shops around. Overall a great stay.”
