My sister and I stayed here while visiting for our cousin's surprise 50th birthday party. Most of our family is in Orfordville and Janesville, so it was a very convenient location for us, but away enough to hide so we were kept from running into our cousin, before her party. The farm is exactly as pictured and described on the listing. The price was extremely reasonable. The house was very clean, quiet, beds very comfortable, and the family extremely welcoming. We loved visiting the horses, and getting a tour of all the goats, including the absolutely adorable babies, from the 10 year old daughter. She was a wonderful tour guide! I will definitely stay here again when we come back to visit family. Thank you for the wonderful stay.

Colin's Beloit house is an elegant and well furnished stately older house. It is large, well constructed, and of high quality. PROS: Colin is an excellent host - friendly and responsive; he was very willing to go beyond to ensure my stay was excellent and problem-free. The house has everything I could have wanted from comfortable furniture to plenty of cookware, supplies, etc. The location is good; actually it's perfect if your visit involves the college which is one block over. Arrival is via a lockbox code to get to the front door key and is very easy. CONS (very minor): The home's insulation isn't great (I stayed in the early winter: NOV-DEC 2024) so I chose to wear a sweater rather than blast the heat. There is only one bath room on the 2nd floor (bedroom level) and a small half bath crammed under the stairs on the ground floor. Not a problem for me, but if you have a large group it could become an issue. Overall I'd be very happy to stay here again!
