Cabin vacation rentals in Russell

Loved the hot tub, loved the record player, all in all was a very fun weekend and if I ever get the chance to come back I will!

As in other reviews be prepared for sulfur water. The sulfur smell is horid. However, i believe the owner has done everything he can to try to elevate it. Filters work well but they need constant flow or they can be bad instead of good. I developed rash from it. I read reviews and knew about it well in advance. The place is very comfortable and quiet location. If you listen carefully you can hear the click clock of amish on the roads. The electric heaters heat the property astonishingly well. This week we had nearly 30 inches of snow. We were sick of the snow for sure. Plenty of grocery stores and shopping nearby. Restaurants as well. Beds feel hard at first but slept like baby. No stains on sheets etc as others pointed out. Over all enjoyed our stay. IF YOUR SKIN IS SENSITIVE TO SULFUR NOT THE PLACE FOR YOU. UNTIL A PERMANENT SOLUTION IS FOUND FOR THE ISSUE. We will probably rebook in 25.

It was quiet and peaceful with a beautiful view. It was what we were looking for for a short getaway. 10/10 would recommend it to a friend and would stay again

Adorable cabin in a tranquil setting. Cabin was decorated very nice. Cleanest cabin we have ever stayed in! Loved the coffee bar with all the extras. Games were great for the kids. It was a lovely place to stay!

We absolutely loved this house and all that came with it. Our pups loved all of the room to run, play, hike, swim and explore. The house was so well stocked it felt like our own home. The beds were super comfortable and the vibe of the home just instantly made us feel at ease. The hot tub was great and the views were exactly what we were hoping for. Will def be back!

We enjoyed staying at David’s place very much. The house was dated but clean. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed to cook for a big family. We enjoyed the game room very much. The pellet fireplace was a nice touch to make the room warm and cozy. Location was great as it was only 9 minutes drive to Ellicottville and 11 minutes to Holiday Valley. David was quick to respond to any problems. Would definitely recommend.

The place was absolutely perfect for our three families (6 adults, 6 kids) to meet and do a ski weekend at Holiday Valley. Great spot, hot tub was definitely a hit. Host was super responsive too.

Great stay for my family of five! My husband, our two littles, and our pup wanted a last minute weekend getaway and Richard made everything so easy! From flexible check in, to prompt communication, he was great to work with. The place was quiet, felt so homey, and had EVERYTHING you could want. Richard even set up a pack and play for our daughter so we didn’t have to bring one. Close to a lot of trails but nothing directly walkable from the house, and most attractions and stores were closed off season, but would be great to come back to in the spring or summer.

We couldn’t have planned a better weekend getaway. The grounds were beautiful. The cabin was clean and comfortable. Leigh and Matt are friendly and accommodating hosts who wanted us to have the best experience they could offer and they met every expectation we could have imagined. We will be recommending Bison Trace to all of our friends!! Thank you for a great weekend!!

The cabin was on the river and had a very nice yard that sloped right down to the water. It was November and we did fish a little but were unlucky. I would definitely rent this in the summer just to play in the water. There was fire wood and a great fire pit. The deck and furniture were excellent. The cabin was spotless and had amenities that I did not expect--dish soap, kitchen towels, washer, dryer. etc. The only possible negative comment is that the sitting area was combined with the kitchen so the TVs were located in the bedrooms. This would have been fine had it been more than my husband and I. We usually travel with family and never turn on a TV. The host, Erwin, communicated well and made sure we could contact him at any time with any questions. I would rent again from him with confidence.

Beth has great communications and was involved with every aspect of the stay. The property was great for our kids. The were able to play in the creek and the woods behind the cabin. The location was exceptional and was priced accordingly. I would definitely recommend to stay at this cabin due to its rustic charm but beware of the hardwood floors as 2 kids got splinters, in their feet in the first 5 minutes there, all in all 5 stars

We stayed here last year at the same time in March. We like the hiking opportunities in the area. awe were also fortunate to get another warm weekend in mid March (same as last year) and managed to get out on a nice trail again this year. Becki is very responsive has prepared a wonderful home for a quiet weekend or a longer stay. We are very likely to continue to return here on a regular basis.

Kelly and Jeremy were great hosts. The cabin was cozy and exactly what we were looking for. Kelly was quick to respond to any questions I had.

Second time staying at Jack's Place this year. The only bad thing about staying here is that you eventually have to leave. lol Debra's a great host, very responsive and helpful if anything is needed. Jack's is a very clean, spacious, peaceful & comfortable place to stay. Will definately stay again!!

Had a great stay in a comfortable and quiet cabin. Very peaceful and relaxing. Perfect place to watch movies, play some board games, and hang out with the family.

Amenities were great! Hedy was responsive, thoughtful and kind. Great fire pit! Great for a big family. Thank you for everything, Hedy!

Perfect for the long weekend and the location is close to the places we wanted to be: Midway State Park, Bemus Point, the lake etc. We enjoyed using the grill. Also appreciate the extra things they provided like air mattress, firewood, bug spray etc. It was a great first cabin stay experience for our toddler!

This was our second stay at Jessica's cabin. We frequent Tionesta, have stayed in motels and other airbnb's and this one by far is our favorite! This trip we had family with us to do our annual kayak trip, we all felt rught at home and the location is great, super private, yet minutes to the sportsmans, the kayak launch and stores. We have spent years looking for the perfect place in Tionesta and we have finally found it.

We stayed the weekend and had a great time, it was right in between the two sights we went to see. Great location for enjoying our get away. WiFi worked great and plenty big for the two of us. Definitely would come again if we are in the area. Thanks for the great stay!

We liked everything very much, we stayed with the children, the children were delighted with the second floor, amazing nature, the pond, we liked everything very much, the owner provided coals for the barbecue, coffee, candles for lighting, everything was at the highest level

Cozy little cottage that is close to nearby attractions - comfortable and clean. Nice spot to stay, but the long driveway is slippery after heavy snow, not recommended unless you have an AWD vehicle. We enjoyed our stay.

This is a really nice place to stay. Maybe one of the better places that I have stayed in this area. Very clean. Only problem there was concerned getting the oven to work. Had to really smash down on the bake button to get it to work. Host was pretty responsive, property was clean and taken care of. It’s all bunk beds but they were surprisingly comfortable. Very large front room with large wrap around couch, 2 recliners and large dining table. Two bedrooms with 2 bunk beds each. Also a very small washing machine and dryer. It does sit in a very little community (maybe 10 to 15 other homes) so if you’re looking for solitude away from everything, then this is not the place. It’s 9 miles to Ridgway which was convenient to get supplies. It’s a short drive to everything the highlands has to offer. If you’re looking for a place to stay in the area, I’d definitely give this place consideration.
