Wonderful place to stay. The hosts were very communicative and the house was absolutely gorgeous. We would absolutely stay here again and would highly recommend it.

Great spot! We didn’t get to utilize the back yes fire pit or the screened porch since we were horse showing all day every day but they looked ideal! Great views and felt private even with neighbors to the side. Lots of room for vehicles and great use of space inside the house.

There really are no words to describe how much we enjoyed our stay. For our family of 6, and our 2 doggies, we were looking for a large space in a beautiful and peaceful setting to enjoy the holidays together. We are all so busy and run in different directions, and we thought this would be a great way to have a captive Christmas for everyone to enjoy time together! We were right! The owner has the house decorated perfectly for Christmas, and the basement level was perfect for our 3 grown boys to play video games and bond together! Grandma enjoyed the large tv with the giant window overlooking the mountain and lake - and mom & dad (us) enjoyed the master bedroom & bath with a balcony overlooking the mountain and lake. It was perfect, like Switzerland, but only 2 hours from home! We have treasured memories of our trip!

We absolutely loved Richard’s home and hope to stay here again in the future. Richard is very accommodating and thoughtful. As a Librarian, I really appreciated his hand written note and attention to detail. The house is so beautiful, charming, and artistically designed. Also, the historical aspect of such a home is just heart warming. It was perfect for our creative retreat! We had everything we needed including space to spread out and let the creativity flow without interruptions. The view and outside space is lovely and well cared for. Nights by the fire pit and the readily available firewood made it that much more enjoyable. While the house was comfortably and serenely secluded for true relaxation, downtown Tryon is conveniently close enough to explore and enjoy. Overall, we absolutely loved everything about staying here! We hope to stay here again soon!

Really loved the house and the view was amazing. It was spacious and had some great amenities. The things I would say that could be improved is the kitchen needs more cookware and utensils. The description made it seem more secluded when the house was right on the road and you can throw a rock and hit a neighbor on all sides. Not is off the beaten path and the description made it seem. Other than those two things everything was great would definitely want to stay again.

Perfect Mountain Escape! The Foxie Moxie was exactly what we needed for a relaxing trip to the mountains. It was perfect for our family of three and our Aussiedoodle. My husband and son had a blast with the basketball hoop, while I enjoyed some peaceful time in the hot tub and hammock. We were aware of potential road issues due to Helene, and while the road to and from Black Mountain is definitely not for the faint of heart, it was passable—just be aware there are a couple of one-lane sections. The neighbors were wonderful and even tipped us off to a hidden gem: a 10-foot waterfall about a mile up the creek from the property. It was absolutely beautiful. Highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a secluded mountain stream retreat with all the right touches of relaxation and adventure!

I had a wonderful stay at this mountain house. The location was breathtaking, with stunning views of the surrounding landscape that allowed me to truly unwind. The house itself was cozy and well-equipped, offering all the comforts needed for a relaxing getaway. I especially enjoyed the rustic decor, which added a warm and authentic feel to the space. Being close to hiking trails and nature spots was a bonus, as it allowed for easy exploration and outdoor activities. Overall, a fantastic place to disconnect and enjoy the peace of the mountains. We had a wonderful time at Jennifer’s home. Her parents, Ed and Kay welcomed us and made us feel right at home. They provided wine and delicious snacks for us and also gave us passes to Rumbling Bald. The place is right on the lake and absolutely beautiful. The inside is much more beautiful than in the pictures, as it is tastefully decorated and good quality linens and towels were provided. They had every thing available that we could need, expensive toiletries and plenty of floats and kayaks. I can’t say i’ve ever stayed at an air bnb that was so thoughtfully appointed before. We will definitely be back.

We had a great stay here! The amenities were wonderful! Our kids loved the pool and the beach at the lake. Lots to do in this area! Jamie was super sweet and very responsive and helpful! She also makes great recommendations! We would definitely stay again!

We’ve been to Rumbling Bald multiple times and this has been my favorite residence of all! It’s easily accessible, has tons of space, and is well equipped. But the host and her proactiveness and accessibility are what make outstanding. We absolutely loved our time there and hope to make it back again sometime!

This is our second time staying at Lia’s Villa’s. It is a beautiful retreat and very private. It is only 9 minutes from TIEC if you’re coming for horse related activities!

This house is AMAZING! It exceeded our expectations. We had 10 adults in our group and we had plenty of room! The bedrooms were beautifully decorated with comfortable bedding! The 3 living room spaces were perfect for us to spread out. We loved the big windows all around the house as they brought in plenty of natural light. The kitchen and dining room table were large and perfect for 10 of us to cook and enjoy a meal together. The outside space is everything you see in the photos. We enjoyed the hot tub, fire pit and the deck with a beautiful view during our stay. Rumbling Bald resort has so much to do as well. We were only there for 2 nights, but did enjoy dinner at the restaurant, the bar and the beach during our stay. Absolutely wonderful is all we can say! We look forward to staying here again! The host was very responsive and easy to communicate with! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this beautiful home!!
