A beautiful old house in the centre of town. The host was extremely welcoming and helpful.

Pascal is a great host. Eventhough he doesn't speak English, he makes a good effort to understand, and make himself understood. The house was great, and so was the room.

Stay really one of a kind or the time actually stops at certain times and wanted to stop on the way :), really unusual and attipyque place where the kindness and generosity of the hosts are more treasures :) small negative point: ptitdej not provided, but pascal lets you serve in liquid (cafe, chocolate, ....) and we even had the right to a local specialty that so compensates for this little lack :)

I had the most wonderful stay at La Ponne. Annick is a fantastic host - very welcoming, informative and generous. The gite is impeccable: comfortable, tasteful, very well equipped and tranquil. I particularly liked being close to one of the local towns, Melle with its stunning Romanesque churches, vibrant Friday market and relaxed vibe. Would highly recommend staying here!

Annick’s gite is a very beautiful space. It blends original features and thoughtful design. There was a helpful folder of information about the area. The gite was extremely clean and comfortable with plenty of useful things. Most things are a drive away but there are helpful directions available. There is a nice outdoor swimming pool in the town under 10 minutes drive away. There are a few nice restaurants in nearby towns. If you want to drive further it is 1 1/2 hours to La Rochelle and about 2 hours to Nantes. There is a huge water park about 1 1/2 hours away. We found lots to do and had a great stay.

“La Ponne” is one of the prettiest cottages you could ever stay in, just outside Celles-sur-Belle. Perfect for a couple, the surroundings are so peaceful, but with a car, is a good stepping off point to visit points of interest in the area. The gardens are stunning. Annick and Guy are charming hosts and with our “Aussie French”, were very grateful for their use of English. We warmed immediately to their kindness. We self-catered and the kitchen was perfect to do so. It was great being able to do some washing, as we are travelling for several weeks and the cottage also has a clothes airer, iron and ironing board. There is an excellent supermarket at the roundabout coming into Celles-sur-Belle, which will supply all your self-catering needs. We can highly recommend “La Ponne” as the perfect holiday getaway and I wish we could have stayed longer.

I did not hesitate to return to this cottage. Annick is always so welcoming and pleasant. The cottage has not changed either. It is really tastefully decorated and is very well equipped. Everything is done to spend an excellent holiday. Thank you again Annick.

The cottage Annick is located in a beautiful region where discoveries abound. This cottage, at the end of a beautiful stone building, is very well restored and combines with taste stone and wood. It is very well equipped, and very comfortable. The immense garden, sported, is surrounded by walls in dry stone with the crowning in "scales of fish". Which for us, dry stone builders, was a very pleasant surprise. I recommend this cottage: go there! You will not regret it.

Beautiful house, very clean, very well equipped. Madame Agnès left us fresh eggs from her chickens, and did not hesitate to lend us bikes for the whole family (2 adults, 2 children + child seat!) To visit beautiful little spots in the region. Top!

What a great house. A wonderful garden for our dog. Very good bed. A wonderful shower, super nicely decorated. Everything has been thought of. . A wheelbarrow with fireplace was ready. Two perfect days at Agnès! The house is very warm, especially the fireplace for winter evenings. Little touches upon our arrival, a very nice decoration of the house, really comfortable bedding, in short a great stay! We regretted not staying there any longer :) Go ahead with your eyes closed.

Brand new housing, tastefully renovated by the owner. Many things available in the accommodation (towels, coffee, bath mat, shower gel, dishwashing liquid ...). I recommend especially since Jean Luc and his wife are very nice and helpful !!!

Melle is a very nice town and the location of the house, both right in the centre and just 300 m form nature cannot be better. Just over an hour to the beaches. Surrounding countryside has lots to discover. Friendly hospitable owners. Highly recommended.

We spent 10 days at the Square Tower and loved it. The tower has everything you need for a comfortable stay - and more. It has resently been renovated and everything looks brand-new, but without ruining all the charm from the old days. The pool is beautiful and we spent hours there with our kids. We can only recommend a stay with Michele and Justin (and kids, dog and cat)

The little square tower is an absolute gem. The house has been beautifully renovated and is ideally located in a village location, with several lovely shops and restaurants within walking distance. The private gardens meanwhile give the feel of being in the countryside and the large pool is perfect for kids and adults alike. Michele and Justin are wonderful hosts and made us feel very welcome. We would highly recommend a stay.

Everything was perfect! A lot of charm, tastefully decorated, very well equipped (everything for young children, kitchen, jacuzzi, heated pool ...). And ideal location in the heart of the village. We will come back!

In 10 years of use and the experience of several dozen airbnb homes, I had never encountered such a qualitative welcome and such exceptional kindness ... The equipment and decoration are of quality, perfectly clean, the sleeping is excellent, the environment is calm and very pleasant ... No complaints ... it's perfect and well beyond my initial expectations. I will come back to this accommodation as soon as possible.

We would like to thank Danielle once again for her amazing hospitality and warm welcome. As we arrived late she had even filled the fridge for us, and was waiting in the house for us when we arrived to show us around. The house is spacious and comfortable and I imagine in the Summer even more so as there is a pool and she even grows herbs , lettuces and tomatoes for guests to use in the garden.. Everything surpassed our expectations, we would definitely come back if we were in the region..

The room was very warm and comfortable and all amenities were clean and well maintained. The hosts were very attentive and friendly and the little extras they provided such as toothbrushes and razors for shaving made the stay extra special.

Lovely welcome by Linda and her family. The gite was cute and very practible, lovely to see towels provided, even more satisfying was the coffee machine! Ideally situated to explore the region, we managed: Niort, Poitiers, La Rochelle, Melle, Lezay, Sepvret. Will certainly book again should we venture that way.

Very nice week at Stephane. Comfortable bedding, nice bathroom - shower or bath -, absolutely quiet accommodation! I stayed for my activity and had a good rest on my way home in the evening, which is both on the town and in a countryside environment. The 3 black pigs at the bottom of the property (territory enclosed by a fence!), Very original and nice to see them live their lives as "super cleaners" ;-))

We had a lovely few days. Corinne’s hospitality was really wonderful and made our stay even better. We truly relaxed as soon as we entered the chateaus gates and the whole place was tranquil.

Our stay with our 3 children went very well. It is a very quiet place is very leasable, with a covered pool and accessible all the time. Corinne was very reactive during our communication before our stay and left us the house ready for our arrival at night. I highly recommend.

Despite having great difficulty finding the accommodation (Address and fake phone number on AirBNB) we were very well received by Corinne. The garden is great for kids and the indoor pool is just magical.

There are 2 ways to travel in time: 1 / The memory 2 / Occupy a room in the apartment tower of Véglia :) A knight even takes care of watching the places 24/24 in this tower which dates from the 11th century (I let you discover it). Very quiet place, located in a typical village and near the Marais Poitevin Regional Park where you can walk, cycle, canoe and much more. Véglia is very responsive, super welcoming, and will do everything to make you feel comfortable. I recommend.

Warm welcome despite arriving later than expected. The Jacuzzi is a pinnacle of relaxation and, to be honest, has greatly contributed to our recovery before heading back! We also had a good time to discuss because Vegia, in addition to her many acquaintances, is passionate about her region.

Pascal is very welcoming and very friendly. Being housed in the tower of the 14th century, is a good experience.

An atypical place, out of the ordinary to discover; very warm welcome

Antoine welcomed us with great sympathy, he advised us on the corners to visit. The cottage is located in a beautiful setting and calm soothing. The kitchen is properly equipped, the places are clean. A delicious jar of honey, a bottle of homemade apple juice, a few sweet treats that are always a pleasure on arrival. The view of the park from the terrace is superb. The biquettes are adorable. A few meters further the veranda with the big SPA is very nice, access to the pool really nice. In short, we had a great week. Antoine is welcoming, available, and discreet. We felt at home during this week and we will be back.

Wow! If you’re looking for somewhere to stay in this area then look no further.Antoine and Nellie greeted us on our arrival and took us around the Gite.they left us some of their own homemade apple juice and a pot of their delicious honey.the view from the Gite is amazing you can just sit on the patio with your glass of wine and enjoy your surroundings .although Antoine or Nellie were always around if you needed anything they left you to yourselves.the spa and pool were very relaxing we really didn’t want to leave.Thanks again.

Cottage was exactly as on website, rooms were comfortable and airy. Pool area is outstanding. All the personal items were there, pool towels, bath towels, toiletries and even bath robes and slippers. Sam had a great welcome for us and a lovely welcome basket on arrival. Sam is a great host and very helpful and knows the places in the area. Can't recommend it highly enough if you are looking for a beautiful part of rustic France and ideal for couples. Again Sam thanks for a wonderful stay.

A great place to relax and get away! Charming location in the french countryside with all the amenities you could need. We were there during a heat wave and the house stayed nice a cool and the pool was amazing!

Sam is the most incredible host. We stayed at her place for 4 nights whilst house hunting in the local area, needless to say we were constantly picking her brains for info which she was great at sharing. The place is everything you want from a French break and the immaculately clean (and warm) pool is the icing on the cake. Nothing was too much bother for Sam and she will willingly go out of her way to help and she will leave you to it if you prefer in your own private area, or come and have a natter with a glass of wine (or 2) round the pool! Can’t recommend this place enough, if you are considering booking - do it!

The Tabacco Barn is fabulous and such a relaxing place. Inside lovely and cool. Even has an outdoor room with plenty comfy seats table and bbq. Pool wonderful. Photos do not do it justice. Sam is an exceptional host. We did not want to leave .

Very warm welcome from Christel who is available. The location is quiet and clean. The outside very nice. We stayed there for a family weekend with a 4 year old, which was enough for us. Our daughter loved the orchard around the house. Only downside, for those who like the total darkness for the night, a small window without shutter could wake you up in the light of the day. Which did not disturb us more than that. You can go there with your eyes closed.
