  • This is a great little studio flat. Smaller than expected but designed very well so it’s not cramped. Effective heater and good shower. Stephanny adds little touches that some Air Bnb’s can scrimp on; such as plenty of toilet roll, soap and washing up liquid, milk and tea and coffee all provided. Great hair dryer too. All very clean. It is the property on the corner. We were a bit confused when we arrived as two other doors have the same number. Super quick responses.

  • Goood stay

    Uzezi Daniella2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • Quiet, cozy , very clean, super comfy bed- what else do you need? Andy and Val are super nice hosts and made me feel at ease at their place- not that I saw much of them as the room enjoyed quite an independent position in the house. Highly recommended especially for professionals who are looking for a homely cozy place after work!

    Anna2020-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • Andy is absolutely the nicest person on earth. His hospitality and kindness were beyond imagination. The place was super-clean, comfortable, neat and cosy. I loved every single bit of it. Highly recommended!

    Justyna2020-01-24T00:00:00Z
  • The room was great. Coffee tea etc provided. Tv in the room. Clean kitchen/bathroom. Couldn't fault it.

    Peter2019-11-29T00:00:00Z
  • Great place, Andy was really helpful with me arriving late after a shift at the local hospital, very accommodating.

    Kimberley2019-11-15T00:00:00Z
  • Great house, great host. Everything in the house is stylish, like new and spotlessly clean. Room is on the ground floor, and Andy spends most of his time on the first floor where he has a separate living room, so you don’t feel like you’re intruding on his private space. So many thoughtful touches, eg Andy had cleared a shelf for me in the fridge plus my own cabinet in the bathroom. It was easy to park outside the house at any time of day.

    Anna2019-11-08T00:00:00Z
  • Just an absolutely wonderful host; showed real care and willingness to help on both a host and human level, and truly went above and beyond. You cannot go wrong with Andy, you just can't.

  • I had a delightful one night stay at Anne's in Stone. The room is very comfortable, spacious and well-appointed. All my needs were catered for. The house is quiet and restful, truly as described in the listings, and only a short distance from the town centre. I felt very comfortable and was made to feel very welcomed by Anne. Note overall rating is 5* my last review was a 5 and not a 3. Done in error. My Airbnb is described as clean, comfortable & friendly with relaxing vibes. Proving ideal for those attending one of the many closeby wedding/party venues, working away, visiting Staffordshire attractions or simply needing a rest mid journey. Philosophy: Provide a 'home from home' experience. Double guestroom with a 'Sealy' bed, private bathroom, adj dressing room, kitchen & facilities, conservatory & garden.
My home welcomes and gives a relaxed feeling the moment you arrive. Private guest room and bathroom with access to the dressing room, kitchen, conservatory and garden. The guest room itself has lush carpet underfoot and high standard of bedding and towels are provided throughout your stay. There is a selection of toiletries and a hairdryer if you forget yours. I have been told the bed aids a peaceful nights sleep. Bottle(s) of water supplied by your bed with free tea/coffee/hot chocolate and fresh milk available in the kitchen. There is a big TV, free fast WIFI, Freeview, bluetooth speaker, chargers and plenty of wardrobe space for your belongings. A dressing room is next to the guest room, with a full length mirror and additional socket points, so you can perfect your look if attending a wedding, party or business meeting. Some guests have had pre-booked beauty and hair styling prior to a wedding in this room. You can always ask 'Alexia' a question or ask her to play your favourite radio station or use it to meditate or do yoga as some guests have done previously. Please enjoy your meals in the bright conservatory where place(s) will be laid, make use of the garden or retreat to the privacy of your room for your meals or midnight snacks! You have your own personal crockery, cutlery and glassware. Ideally situated for Aston Marina (top Staffordshire wedding venue) with the fabulous No26 restaurant just 5-10 minute walk away. The Stone House Hotel 1 mile; Sandon Hall 3 miles and Weston Hall/Moddershall Oaks can be reached in 5 miles! Staffordshire County Showground is just 6 miles away. Stafford Hospital and Royal Stoke Hospital is 9 miles - approx 15-20minute drive on the A34. The Potteries incl: Wedgwood; Emma Bridgewater and Spode are 25-30minute car journey. Great access to M6 Junction 14 or 15. If you are driving South to North and vice verca, it's a good mid-point stop to take a break. Plenty to see and do or importantly rest if needed. Stone is very pretty and popular market / canal town with lovely restaurants, bars and pubs. Great live music and traditional ale houses, with some 'very now' gin, craft ales and cocktail bars dotted around the town. Many different restaurant cuisines to choose from. Stunning Trentham Italian Gardens and Lake Estate, Monkey Forest are approx 5 miles down the road. Alton Towers 40 minute drive. Shugborough National Trust Stately Home where Lord Lichfield resided and bucolic Cannock Chase is accessible by car where gorgeous walks and off road cycling is very popular. You might even be lucky enough to see wild deer/stags! Marks and Spencers, Aldi and Morrisons are close by. Marks and Spencers Foodhall seems to be a hit so far, particularly business guests who want to eat at home with minimal effort! **Please see the neighbourhood section for further details**
Canal-side in a quiet and well looked after area. My home is situated a minute from a lovely peaceful canal walk into Stone and further if you like a decent but pretty countryside walk to Sandon, Weston or Barlaston. Aston Marina is a hop, skip and a jump away! You will most definately see pretty narrowboats and can grab a waterside drink or bite to eat whilst taking in the beautiful Staffordshire countryside. Location is ideal for the many Staffordshire hotspots, to include several wedding venues, amusements parks, the Potteries and pretty Cannock Chase, Shugborough and Trentham Gardens and Estate (see also the 'space' section too. Local/global businesses and training centres are very close by and are proving popular for those working for or attending ABB, GE, Royal Stoke Hospital, Stafford Hospital and Yarnfield Centre. It amazes me how many people stay who are visiting family and friends in the area (I love it)! Great location for the M6 being in the middle of two junctions, 14 and 15 going both North and South. The A50 is accessible which connects you to the M1 and The North. Marks and Spencers, Aldi, Morrisons, Post Office, Pharmacy are close by and a Petrol Station and Shop are at the end of my road. My local pub, The Three Crowns Lichfield Road Stone (thatched roof) serves good food and drink. There are plenty of amazing places to eat or drink in the market / canal town of Stone itself. Lovingly renovated by my husband and I, the property sits perfectly within its rural surroundings and exudes the class of a new-build while simultaneously retaining the Edwardian charm of the original barn. Located in a charming village on the edge of the Staffordshire Moorlands, the property is just a short drive from the Alton Towers resort, the Derbyshire Peak District and the historic county town of Stafford.
Comfortable and cosy in the winter, light and airy in the summer, this one bedroom detached barn conversion is a haven for all seasons. Sleeping four adults, the property benefits from the following: Sitting Room - tastefully decorated with two leather electric recliner sofas and a double sofa bed. The room benefits from a panoramic fireplace and electric fire, with TV above. Netflix, terrestrial and Sky channels are available. Kitchen - Newly designed and fitted, the kitchen has lots of cupboard and drawer space, containing everything needed to produce and serve a full meal. Integral appliances include: fridge, freezer, dishwasher, oven, hob and microwave. The Breakfast station includes a toaster, kettle and Nespresso coffee machine. There is also a spacious dining area complete with an oak table and four leather dining chairs. The Bedroom - A stunning room with a high, beamed ceiling, picture window and roof lights. Occupants of this room will find there is a sumptuous double bed, bedside tables, a dressing table, stool, chest of drawers and a smart TV provided for them. En Suite Bathroom - The bedroom benefits from an en suite bathroom with a free-standing bath, sink, toilet and separate shower. Dressing Room -Bring as many clothes as you wish as we have a dressing room ready and waiting for you. Cloakroom - Complete with sink, toilet and a utility cupboard containing an automatic washer and a condenser dryer. Front and Real Hallways Small private country garden with seating for four. Parking. Don't worry if you forget anything as we've probably got you covered. Welcome food hamper included along with some store cupboard items.
Mentioned in the Domesday Book of 1086, Caverswall is rich in rural charm and history and is a superb location from which to explore Staffordshire, Derbyshire and Cheshire. Set around a village square with its ancient tree and stocks at the centre, the quaint and quirky period properties will soon have you entranced. The village itself benefits from two wonderful pubs, both very different and both providing hot food. The Red House is situated in the village square, which is the social hub of the village. People gather around here for the Carsa Wakes festival during the summer, Halloween celebrations in the Autumn, Egg hunts in the Spring and Christmas carols in the Winter. Look out also for Murder Mystery events at the Red House, provided by our local drama group, Caversmill Players. The Auctioneers Arms is the pride of the village, having been purchased by its residents and run as a community concern. Pop in during the day for a coffee, lunch or a beer and take a look also at their evening menu. Both pubs are within easy walking distance of our property. The Red House takes around three minutes on foot and The Auctioneers Arms, about fifteen. Did we mention that the village has a castle? It's owned by the entrepreneur, Robin MacDonald and is a Grade 1 listed property. Not currently open to the public although if you see the owner and ask nicely, you may be invited in... The village is also home to the historic Anglican church of St Peters and the newer, Roman Catholic edifice, St Filumena's. For those who love gardening, the village has beautifully designed community garden that is always open to the general public. There is a village shop and Post Office just ten minutes walk from our property and the nearest supermarket is less than a five minute drive away. Other facilities and places of interest within walking distance are as follow: Heath House Farm, Shop and Tea Rooms, Foxfield Steam Railway, Butchers, Indian Restaurant, Oatcake shop, florist, hairdresser, off licence, sandwich shop, fish and chip shop.

    Vicky2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • This was a rare find! Most of the great reviews for this perfect little cottage don’t do it justice - it was so amazing that I wanted to move in permanently! The cottage is beautifully decorated, lovely touches like fresh flowers just make it even more special. The bed was SERIOUSLY comfy, I had the most amazing sleep in a long time and the gorgeous roll-top bath was just divine. The kitchen is well-equipped and there’s a huge, squishy, comfy sofa in the living room - perfect for snuggling up in front of the fire. As if that wasn’t enough, Netflix is provided - no need to use your own account, our very generous hosts provided access to their own...... and they also left us yummy biscuits, tea, coffee and milk too! Thank you so much for a wonderful stay, we had such a lovely time.

    Jessica2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • From its beautiful rural location to the the last finishing touches to the décor, this cottage doesn't in any way disappoint. We stayed 2 nights and from booking to leaving it was excellent. Communication from the hosts was brilliant, the cottage itself is stunning and beautifully presented. All facilities you could need for a short break are supplied and the hamper of food left for us was a lovely touch. Extra thanks for the bottle of Prosecco! The log fire was perfect, the bed extremely comfy and the bath was the icing on the cake. Superb hosts with accomodation they should be very proud to provide. Highly recommended.

  • Stylish, comfortable and well equipped cosy cottage. We absolutely loved it. Lovely to have a little welcome hamper and basket of logs for the wood burner. A really great stay, would highly recommend and our hosts Adam and Lisa were extremely helpful. Will visit again 😊 Thank you both x

  • We stayed for three nights while working in the area. Easy check in, excellent communication with hosts and parking directly outside the cottage made this a perfect and most enjoyable experience. Decorated to a very high standard with everything needed for a very comfortable stay. Would highly recommend this lovely cottage.

    Emma2020-01-08T00:00:00Z
  • Incredible value for money in a lovely rural yet still easily accessible location. We stayed for a whole week over Christmas to visit family and friends in the area. The cottage had Christmas decorations (including a beautiful tree in the living room!) and was a fabulous cosy base. It really felt like a home from home! Beautifully decorated, well furnished with everything you need. If trying to be critical, space to hang clothes is a little limited. We would definitely stay again when we’re next in Staffordshire!

It's perfect for attending shows at Stafford Showground, especially as an exhibitor as breakfast is provided in the apartment so you can leave as early as you need to. The apartment is spotlessly clean and supplied with both a heater and a fan to cover whatever the weather throws at you. We will be returning again next year.

Newly renovated in 2019, our terraced house is located in the delightful market and canal town of Stone. Whether your passing through on a longer journey, on business, or if you just want to explore the Midlands, the location is perfect. The house is a 2 bedroom terrace, consisting of an open plan lounge/dining room, galley kitchen, utility area and downstairs bathroom with shower over bath. Upstairs are two bedrooms, one double and one twin room. Outside is a small courtyard and patio area.
The house has been restored to a high standard and has a new kitchen and refurbished bathroom. Being big fans of self catering we've tried to make sure that this is as well equipped as your own home. There are an abundance of restaurants and bars as well as hosting the monthly farmer's market. This pretty town becomes the foodie capital of the Midlands in the Autumn with the fabulous food & drink festival. It is within easy walking distance and minutes of Stone town centre and railway station.
Local places to visit include the famous Staffordshire Pottery museums including the Wedgewood Estate; Trentham Estate and Shopping village; Monkey Forest; Cannock Chase forest and Alton Towers. Stone and the surrounding area hosts a number of wedding venues and our home provides a perfect place to stay if hotels aren't your thing. There is a supermarket located within easy walking distance and a Marks & Spencer food hall is new to the town. There are some lovely country walks on hand with the nearby downs banks, a little wilderness of woodland and heath only a 5 minute car ride away.

Conveniently situated 2 Miles from Junction 15 M6. Only ten minutes to Trentham Gardens and the Monkey Forest and the Potteries. Within easy reach of Keele University and Staffordshire University and good road connections to the Peak District and Alton Towers. The house is situated off a country lane. The local village and shop is 2 miles away and the closest eating place/pub is 3.5 miles away so a car would be an advantage.
A comfortable sitting area with a television is available for guests use with a wood burner effect electric fire for cooler days. In the same room there is a large table where you can work or enjoy a take-away. I have another double bedded room available (https://abnb.me/MCnECvEKhV) and a twin (https://abnb.me/u8z9Jk5KhV).
The house is situated a mile and a half from Junction 15 M6 which makes is a very convenient stopping off place on your travels north or south. We are right in the edge of ‘The Potteries’ so access is easy to many of the famous pottery names such as Wedgwood, Moorcroft and Portmerion and there is a wealth of Factory shops all within twenty minutes drive. Alton Towers, the world famous fun park, is 35 minutes drive but if the open countryside is more appealing then an hours drive will bring you to the centre of the Peak National Park with its many walks and access to the many bustling market towns like Buxton and Bakewell -or even a visit to Chatsworth House. Trentham Gardens and Shopping Village is ten minutes away by car. Here you’ll find plenty of shops, a large garden centre, and plenty of places to eat and drink. The Monkey Forest at Trentham is also a must see if you are in the area. There’s a beautiful lake on our farm if you feel like a morning stroll before you start your day. Day tickets for fishing -Carp and Silver fish-are available for a small fee but you must hold a fishing licence. #keele#newcastle-under-lyme
