Places to stay in Beach Lake
This old time country setting is the perfect place for vacations/gatherings for family and friends. The originally built 1930's cabin sits only feet away from a private 135 acre lake! With 3 bedrooms, dining area, and a full kitchen with a propane stove, this cabin is ideal for feeling relaxed! The private lake is great for swimming, boating (no gas motors), and playing on the beach.
  • Great Lake view

  • This is our second year staying in Cabin #1 and we had a wonderful time. A couple of things that I recommend folks bring to maximize your stay: 1. A few camping chairs / a camping table - there is only one, two-seater couch inside the living room area. We spent a good amount of time hanging out in there, so it was helpful to have a few camping chairs and a camping table so that we didn't have to keep moving all the chairs from the kitchen table back & forth. 2. A larger skillet - there are basic cooking supplies in the cabin, but if you're cooking for more than a couple of people, you'll probably want a larger skillet or two. 3. Extra blankets - it was surprisingly chilly at night during our stay... make sure you check the weather and pack accordingly! This is a great, relaxed, rustic little spot that we have come to love dearly! Would definitely recommend it for a family-friendly getaway!

  • It was our 3rd year staying at Ethan’s place and as always it was fantastic. The cabin was clean, the lake was awesome and the kayaks and paddle boat are a huge added bonus! The kids are already talking about which cabin to stay in next year! Highly recommend!!!

  • Beautiful place and great accommodations right on the water

  • Tucked away this rustic beach cabin was just what we needed. Lake was amazing and even the rain didn’t keep us down. Woke up our last morning to a bald eagle sitting in the tree. My 7 yr old said it was the best vacation ever!

    Bridget2018-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time at Ethan's cottage. The cottage is ideally located on the water. It comes with plenty of amenities like canoes, pedal boat, barbecue etc and is dog friendly. Communication with Ethan was a breath and check in and check out very smooth and flexible. We would definitely recommend Ethan's place for a nice getaway weekend in nature. Thanks Ethan!

  • Tuscarora lodge was the perfect place for our family to unplug and unwind! And the perfect time of year - when PA’s fall was in full swing. The trees were on fire with autumn colors against the lake and made for some spectacular photos. We really enjoyed the paddle boats and kayaks - the lake was quiet and serene. The fishing was slow, but I did happen to catch a gorgeous Northern Pike! That made for an exciting adventure with my son, as we were in the paddle boat at the time. Ethan and his father were friendly and gracious hosts as well!

  • I had so much fun. My kids have asked if we could live there. My mother, sister, and I are planning to return next year with our families. It was the most relaxing few days I have had in years. My son cut his foot and your The location was amazing, the price wonderful, and I can not wait to go back. The pictures don’t do the cabins justice. My family and I were comfortable doing n our small cabin.

  • Great place right on the lake with plenty to do and close to neighboring towns very convenient

  • I stayed at Cabin #4 this past weekend with my parents and two dogs. We all loved the stay! This place is a hidden gem. We already booked a bigger cabin for another weekend and can’t wait to come back. To start off, communication with Ethan was easy and check-in process was smooth. I got a chance to meet him and his family during my stay and they are very friendly. They showed us around different cabins and gave us some of the history of the place. They recently bought the place and are renovating the cabins to add modern touches. The cabin is rustic, no-frills,what you should expect from a cabin like setting. Even though cabin #4 wasn’t renovated, it was clean and exactly as pictured. The cabin felt like home and had cute little touches here and there like wine glasses. The lake access is really what makes this place 5 stars. You can swim, use the kayaks and/or boats (free for use) or fish. There’s a lot of free space to use grills or just lounge around. The setting is relaxing and a great getaway from the city without getting too far away. There’s ton of restaurants, diners and establishments around. Overall, if you love outdoor adventures like camping you should definitely come here.

    Jazmin2019-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay here! We had a couple issues with the cabin come up throughout the weekend but Ethan and his family were super responsive and addressed everything right away! The lake is perfect for swimming, kayaking and fishing, although you really have to be a pro to catch anything (we are not!). There’s so much wildlife to admire—a bald eagle’s nest on the lake, geese and ducks, badgers, turtles, fish, and lots more. If you’re going to be cooking quite a bit I recommend bringing some of your own kitchen gear—a good sharp knife, a good big pan, a nice large cutting board, etc., as everything is new and clean but very basic. We also brought our own mini grill since we love to grill and the grill that came with the cabin was a little rusty. We came during a heat wave weekend in July and not having AC (or being able to open all the windows) was admittedly a bit rough, but we made it work with the large fans they gave us. Overall it was a great, rustic experience with a gorgeous experience of the lake and we can’t wait to come back!

    Katya2019-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • This was a lovely weekend getaway! The cabin itself is pretty minimalistic- you have to bring your own linens & toiletries and there’s no temperature control. But the weather by the lake is beautiful and with creative use of fans you can definitely be comfortable. The real strength of this listing is the gorgeous lake and everything you need to enjoy it. There are kayaks, deck chairs, picnic tables, a big lawn with trees and open space, swings, a ping pong table, and a fire pit. We were lucky and Ethan was there with his family, so we didn’t even have to make our own fire. The location was exactly what we were looking for- we felt like we were in nature, but we could still drive to Wal-Mart in 10 minutes for groceries or anything we forgot. We were worried about bugs, but we just applied a lot of bug spray and didn’t have any problems. Highly recommend! Would stay again.

    Michelle2019-06-30T00:00:00Z
  • Ethan’s lake house was amazing. The cabin was clean and comfortable. There was so much to do on site: they provided kayaks, a paddle boat, a rowboat and lots of yard games. They also had a fire pit and firewood available. We spent most of the weekend at the lodge and were fully entertained. Ethan and his family are gracious hosts. Ethan’s dad offered to help with making a fire and getting boats out. They were 10/10. Check in and check out was easy and simple. Locally, there was a 24/7 Walmart supercenter like 10 minutes away where we could buy food and stuff. We had a great time and would definitely return.

  • Ron and Andreas’ place is truly a gem. Pictures do not do the space justice: it’s beautifully (but not overwhelmingly) decorated, sparkling clean, spacious and the hosts are easy to contact. The area is amazing .. not far from hiking, rafting, breweries and antique shops. We had an amazing time talking to Ron and hope to be back soon! Highly recommend this place :-)!

  • Simply Amazing

    Omar2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • This was our 2nd stay here and the first in the cold weather. The cabin was just as great this time and we had a lovely time in front of a roaring fire, looking out onto the snow outside. Caitlin has created a lovely, cosy little sanctuary and I can't recommend it enough.

    Matt2020-01-22T00:00:00Z
  • My friends and I have an annual retreat, and we usually stay at one of Caitlin's lovely getaway cabins. All the Camp Caitlin properties are gorgeous, but this one might be our favorite (though it is the smallest)! It's as stunning as you see in the photos, plus having a little projector to cuddle up with movies is a nice touch.

    Leigh2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Caitlin’s home was everything and more! My fiancé and I spent a few days enjoying this loving home, cuddling on the couch and in the big cozy bed. We cooked a bunch of amazing meals in the well stocked kitchen. Thank you C for the bakery recommendation! Grilled cheese with tomato soup was one meal we made! I loved waking up as if you were in the trees. We are completely recharged after our trip and are already looking forward our next visit!

This Narrowsburg house is a great place to hang your hat while adventuring the catskills. The house is located at the quiet end of the Narrowsburg Flats, across the street from the twinkling Delaware river and just a short walk to Narrowsburg's picturesque main street.
The house comfortably and equitably sleeps two couples (and two kids). It has a master bedroom with a shower bathroom en-suite, and a guest bedroom, both with queen beds and private decks off the rear of the house. The third bedroom is a kid room with bunk beds and a dutch door. The second bathroom is home to a generous soaking tub. The house is light & bright with lots of windows and doors. One of its most prominent features is a wrap around deck off the main space, that gives easy access to the gas grill outside, as well as being a delightful place to lounge about. The house has a generous open kitchen, stocked with the essentials. If you don’t feel like cooking or grilling, its a 5 minute walk to Pizza and views at The Laundrette, and a 7 minute walk to all of main street’s restaurants and shopping. Additionally, if you’d like to start your days with fitness, The Chi Hive Studio on Main street has a range of classes and workshops daily. Other amenities include Central A/C to keep cool in summer, and a very cozy fireplace and hearth to keep warm in colder weather. Wood is available in the garage. Also available in the garage is an assortment of gym equipment (pull up bar, jump rope, kettlebells, rock climbing holds, medicine ball, etc) that you are welcome to use.
  • My wife, infant son and I had a great stay at Karie and Brennan’s place. It’s secluded and serene, and the decor and amenities are everything you could want. Would recommend to anyone seeking a getaway.

    Joe2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Karie’s house was so great. Instructions for check-in were super easy. We thought the house was a little chilly at first, but Karie was very responsive and helped us get things warmed up. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need to make a meal and was all easy to find. The beds were very comfortable and the soaking tub was a hit with all of us. We loved checking out the town, which is just a short walk away. She has put together a great guide to the area to aid in exploring. We would love to stay again in the summer months so we can really enjoy the river and see that weeping willow in bloom.

    Liz2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Great little house close to Narrowsburg Main Street. Very nice kitchen and great for kids.

    Clinton2020-01-05T00:00:00Z

  • It's rare that a place looks even better than in its photos. The kitchen is perfect to gather around and share a communal cooking experience. The cosy fireplace was cosy. It's a short walk to the river access, and the view there is breathtaking. The charming local town and its folks are really warm, welcoming and had tons of great recommendations. Karie and Brennan were very responsive and did their best to make our stay comfortable. Would love to come back for summer!

    Alvin2019-12-26T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I had the most relaxing and wonderful long weekend here. You can see glimpses of the river from the big, bright windows and walk up to the town of Narrowsburg. We stayed over Thanksgiving and spent lots of time sleeping in the very comfortable bed and reading by the cosy fire. Karie and Brennan were amazing hosts, super responsive and very welcoming. Already trying to work out when we can come back!

    Kate2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • The place is located in a beautiful location, has fantastic bathrooms, open concept and comfortable beds.

    Kerry2019-11-22T00:00:00Z
  • Katie’s local tips were spot on for us. We visited the local bookstore on Main Street and each bought a book as a souvenir; my son learned how to skip rocks on the river; and we went to the North Branch Inn for brunch - fabulous! We were in need of a quiet, restful weekend and this hit the mark in every way.

A small, cozy room with a very comfortable Queen bed, shared bath. This is one of two rooms in my home. The other is "Rural Civilization"
This cozy room has a fabulous bed, and is just right for a short stay if you don't mind sharing the bathroom (with me). There is a large window and a ceiling fan for your comfort. There is a Smart TV in the room. Enjoy sitting on the front porch with a view of the Big Eddy and the Narrowsburg Bridge over the Delaware River, or have more privacy in the backyard. Narrowsburg is the Eagle Capital of NYS and eagles can often be seen overhead. The voices of many birds can be heard from the porch. There is an abundance of wildlife in the area - deer often walk through the backyard, while you are sitting there! My home is in walking distance of the Delaware River and all amenities, including the Delaware Valley Arts Alliance and the Tusten Theater, restaurants, shopping, art galleries, fishing, canoeing, hiking, and biking. Close to Wayne County summer camps. We are less than 30 minutes away from entertainment in all directions - from Bethel Woods Center for the Performing Arts (15 miles), The Forestburgh Playhouse and Tavern (25 miles on lovely back roads), The Cooperage Project, Harmony Presents, great farmers markets, and so much more. Winter brings skiing, both downhill and cross country, snowshoeing, winter hikes. We are just 2 hours from the GW Bridge.
While centrally located in the town, we are also private in our location, set back from the road with a great view of the river. No neighbors on any side (a vacant house next door) and walking distance to pretty much anything you need! Great restaurants in town - The Heron, Uncle Vinny's and The Laundrette, a diner, pizza place, Chinese restaurants, grocery store. About 10 miles away in Henning's Local... and other wonderful restaurants in all directions! Summer brings fishing, canoeing, hiking, rafting, kayaking, biking and so much more! Lander's River Trips is just a short walk!
  • Jill’s home is modern yet rustic cozy. Sparkling clean, great art throughout. I was traveling for business - the Wifi, desk and cell service were perfect. My room was country cozy and quiet. I was within walking distance (on a nicer day) of Narrowsburg downtown and right next to the local grocery store and diner. The view of the river is another plus. Check in was simple and Jill is a friendly helpful host. I highly recommend for anyone but especially for women traveling alone.

  • My girlfriend and I give this five stars in all categories--truly cozy room & lovely bathroom. Not right in town but soooo close. Mmmm breakfast treats. Only wish we'd been able to spend time sitting in Jill's front room with the fireplace chatting & reading. We did make the most of our time in Narrowsburg--so many neat places to poke around & explore! Jill is indeed a Superhost & we'll be back!

Come enjoy our lovely, little town of Narrowsburg and so much more in this kitschy 1940's charmer. An easy 5 minute walk to town, this rental has all your needs to have a wonderful upstate weekend. We are close to the wonderful restaurants and shopping of Main Street, and the Delaware River. The house also has a wonderful covered porch and big, back yard if you are looking to relax. Or take a ride and discover the wonderful surrounding hamlets nearby. (Also close to Bethel Woods)
  • This location is perfect. Kitchen is very well stocked - better than most Airbnbs. The house is cozy, charming, and clean. We had an issue with the boiler during our stay and Cheri was very quick to respond, had it working again within a few hours, and refunded a bit of our payment for the inconvenience. Great host to work with.

  • Nice older style house on a very quiet block. Small town with a few restaurants and shops (liquor store, post office etc). House has a Blu-ray player with a decent amount of Netflix shows and the Blu-ray player has the Netflix option too. Kitchen is updated very nice. All you need to cook is there.

    Michael2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • We used this as a crash pad for a weekend of concerts, dining out, exploring the river, and hiking. Everything was as it appears. There's not a ton to do at the house itself (unless you're into the latest shows, in which case they have a stellar collection), but a nice place to relax after the day's activities. I'd come back again!

    Lisa2019-07-07T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful home. Very cozy. Had everything we needed. My baby girl and our dog really enjoyed the space. It is very close to the town and we even got see deer in the backyard!

    Gissele2018-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • Cheri's house is a cute bungalow that we throughly enjoyed staying in. It is just as she said, short walk to Main St, nice porch and large yard. We saw a lot of deer from the back patio. Good wifi. Nice kitchen for cooking. Close to Landers river rafting and Fort Delaware. There are a couple nice restaurants that are close on Main St, Narrowsburg. We had a great weekend.

    Nancy2017-09-05T00:00:00Z
  • Cheri is a great host. She was so accommodating, had toys for our son. The house is lovely and very well decorated. We will definitely be back!

The main space in this comfortably rustic, but elegantly appointed, studio has three glass walls (triple cell shades provided for total privacy), offers breathtaking scenery. View bald eagles soaring in the sky, song birds flying under the canopy of trees, blue herons stealthily stalking fish in the shallows, an occasional white egret or two fishing, and deer quietly drinking at the rivers edge. 15 minutes from Bethel Woods.
Not only does the living and sleeping space offer fantastic and uninterrupted views of the river but the kitchenette and bathroom do as well. The custom built queen bed guarantees a quiet, good night's sleep on the softest linens and finest pillows. Additionally, the studio is equipped with air-conditioning, ceiling fans and heat for your individual comfort. Ergonomic lounge chairs and table are on the second level also provided for your enjoyment. Everywhere you look wildlife abounds.
Main Street is an easy walk from Mission:Possible where you can shop in a variety of delightful and unique stories. There are several restaurants- including The Heron, Tres Amici Restaurenté,The Launderette and The Tusten Cup offering delicious meals, some right on the river overlooking the iconic Narrowsburg Bridge. Main Street also boasts beautiful shops, the Narrowburg Proper, a “not so general, general store” where you can purchase delicious comestibles, or Pete’s, a supermarket (a short distance from Main Street), enabling you to bring your choices home with you. The Delaware Valley Arts Alliance and the Tusten Theater have many cultural productions and artistic events throughout the seasons for your enjoyment
  • Beautiful location & view, clean, comfortable bed, great bathroom and private. Special touches were a small Christmas tree , cookies and nuts ( all appeared with our arrival on dec 29th but after we were asked if we had any allergies!). We highly recommend Mary & Iris’s place.

    Ann2019-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • We spent Christmas in Mission Possible and it was a true holiday treat! The views of the river were spectacular. We really loved that Mary & Iris had a lovely decorated tree for us to enjoy. The amenities were so special. I couldn't believe that they even had Truvia ! This is going above and beyond. We would love to see the view in the summer.

    Pam2019-12-26T00:00:00Z
  • This is our favorite place. Awesome views of wildlife and the river. Quiet and beautifully appointed. Stay number 3 will be planned soon.

    Pamela2019-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • You can't go wrong at Mission: Possible; whatever your expectations are, prepare to have them exceeded! (I did however expect to see a small framed photo of Tom Cruise somewhere ; ) and searched fruitlessly)

    Douglas2019-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • Iris and Mary are incredible hosts. The guest house is on the property behind their home. Iris happen to be there when I arrived and greeted me and showed me around. Then I saw her when I left. Our communications before I arrived we’re great. Instructions that she provided would have made it very easy to arrive and depart on my own with no problem had she not been there. I am familiar with the area. But it was nice that they also provided materials for those who are not. Their location in Narrowsburg is perfection. The perfect getaway! So close to several cute shops and delicious food. They have taken great thought and care in creating the small but very stylish and functional space. The best part is waking up and looking out the window and right there is the Delaware river. I happen to be there when the foliage and weather was picturesque. But I believe that even on a rainy cloudy day the view would still be incredible. I will definitely stay there again.

    Beth2019-10-10T00:00:00Z
  • Iris and Mary go above and beyond with their place. Everything is beyond beautiful, and My sister and I were made to feel right at home and felt very comfortable there. The set up is well above what we expected, and then some. You cannot have a more perfect morning than sitting outside drinking your coffee with the backdrop of the Delaware River and Eagles flying above!!!! The bar for Air BnB's has been set very high by these two wonderful ladies!!!!!!!!

    Bruce2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • Exceptional property, great attention to detail and the host's make you feel at home the minute you pull up. Just enough disconnect to re-charge, close to town, and tremendous local knowledge. Coffee on the patio, listening to the Delaware push by was worth the price of admission by itself. Will definitely be back, thank you...

A completely new renovation to a great space! A bright, airy, comfortable efficiency with excellent cross ventilation. Everything you need in one lovely space! Newly added Smart TV No smoking! Please recycle.
It is on the cool side of the house, so early morning sunshine from the back and late afternoon sun in the front. Living room with queen sofa bed, sleeping area with queen bed, full kitchen, full bath with tub/shower. Should there be 4 guests, or you wish the use of both the queen bed as well as the sofa bed, I have a folding screen to add more privacy. Just ask! This space was once a commercial kitchen (and an artist studio, then an architectural office), so there are many overhead lights, but with this renovation, I have placed lamps to make a more cozy feel. And because it was once a commercial kitchen, all the outlets are high on the walls, so don't look for one near the floor! All the candles in the space are battery operated, so don't try to light them (as someone did!) You can enjoy sitting on the front porch with a view of the Big Eddy and the Narrowsburg Bridge over the Delaware River, or have more privacy in the backyard. Narrowsburg is the Eagle Capital of NYS and can often be seen overhead. The voices of many birds can be heard from the porch. There is an abundance of wildlife in the area.
While centrally located in the town, we are also private in our location, set back from the road with a great view of the river. No neighbors on any side (a vacant house next door) and walking distance to pretty much anything you need, including the river. Great restaurants in town - The Heron and The Laundrette,Coffee Creations, a diner, pizza place, Chinese restaurants, grocery store. About 10 miles away in Henning's Local... and other wonderful restaurants in all directions! Summer brings fishing, canoeing, hiking, rafting, kayaking, biking and so much more! Lander's River Trips is just a short walk!
  • This is our second time at Jill's. Five stars across the board. Wonderful little studio apartment. Comfortable and cozy. Fully equipped with everything you need. In a great location. Jill is charming, attentive and easy to communicate with before and during your stay. A true "super host." Would definitely stay there again.

    Ronald2019-10-20T00:00:00Z

  • Jill was wonderful in accommodating a longer than usual stay! The place was perfect and we would definitely recommend it!

    Allison2019-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • Walking distance to the Narrowsburg campground. Amazingly soft bed!! All natural household products. So clean! And the shower head height was tall enough for my 6'2" fiance to be totally under the water.

    Nicole2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • Very convenient and comfortable, Jill is a pleasure!

    Fran2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • Jill's efficiency apartment was great and provided all the amenities we needed for stay. Four of us celebrated my wife's birthday, as well as 2 days at Bethel Woods for the 50th anniversary celebration of Woodstock - just a short drive away! We will certainly consider staying again at Jill's place in the future!

There is excellent hiking nearby at Ten Mile River, and a single screen cinema in a quonset in nearby Callicoon that shows art house movies as well as mainstream fare.
  • We had a wonderful time at Aaron’s place. He went above and beyond to make sure we had a comfortable time at his place. From the small touches like having placed small short story books (he’s an avid reader and writer), whiskey on the house in the room (takes the edge off a long drive), to the wonderful customized breakfast home cooked right as we woke up - everything was just right. Couldn’t have asked for a better host or place to stay to take in the charming town of Narrowsburg!

    Jon2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Aaron has a cute, stylish place in a very quiet area. He was easy to reach, helpful with tips on the area, and very tidy! He cooked an amazing breakfast for us in the morning!

    Alexandra2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • Located by a coffee shop 2 queens where they roast their own coffee and a great Chinese restaurant as well as a grocery store. Also 3 minutes walk to downtown where Aaron has a great bookshop. I bought 2 books. The house has a lot of charm and character. My 9 year old son wanted to live there. Narrowsburg may have many good b&bs but they don't have an amazing host such as Aaron.

    Troy2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Selfishly, I don’t want to tell anyone about this amazing gem—an easy five minute stroll from town. Aaron is the ultimate host--incredibly kind and accommodating. His home is safe, cozy and comfortable and his taste is impeccable. AND, he makes the most delicious breakfast I’ve had in a long time! (YES! This is a real BnB. Breakfast is included in the price.) We truly felt right at home. We could have easily lounged around and looked at his eclectic collection of books and listened to records all day long. We love the town of Narrowsburg and feel so lucky to have found our new favorite place to stay. Thank you, Aaron!

    Phaedra2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Aaron is a very good hoster, he was flexible with our late arrival time. The room is very warm and cute, the mattress of the bed veeeeeery comfortable and the breakfast was perfect. Thank you for everything Aaron :)

  • Incomparable property, like nowhere I've stayed in the world. Morgan is gracious, inquisitive, and goes above and beyond to involve you with the house and its mission. Lovely.

    Jake2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful and comfortable accommodations. Kind and generous people. I enjoyed my stay very much!

    Megan2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • Words can't describe how much I love Mildred's Lane and adore Morgan. Our weekend there went beyond the usual airbnb experience, from the building to the people there. It is a relaxing, inspiring place that seems plucked out of time. I highly recommend it to anybody who has a curious soul and wants to experience something truly different, unique and unforgettable. First off, Mildred's Lane is a very special place filled with the most wonderful and interesting books, the building lovingly made from honest materials (wood, stone, metal etc.), corners and shelves and walls filled with curiosities, etc. Everywhere you turn there is always something that catches the eye. The building and land (with art installations and cabins) are truly remarkable. The kitchen is the warm center of the house and always has plenty of food. We helped ourselves to eggs, bread, honey from beehives a short distance away, oatmeal and fruit. Our bedroom, the sleeping porch, is a romantic and dreamy space. My husband had the best sleep in a long time on the very comfy bed. I had been aching to get away from the city, so I was delighted to hear the happy birds, frogs, insects and coyotes outside! The swimming pond is inviting, refreshing on a hot day. During your walk through the woods to Plank Street, you may encounter chipmunks, birds and deer. Everybody at the house was extremely nice and had the most interesting backgrounds and ideas to share. I learned something new from everybody, whether it was about bees and hemp and a bunch of other random topics. And of course, the host, Morgan, is an extremely warm, lovely person. Her enthusiasm and creativity and style are contagious and you can't help but be drawn to her vision for Mildred's Lane. Long Live Mildred's Lane! And thank you again for welcoming us!

    Sharon2019-06-09T00:00:00Z
  • This dwelling is really something special. I can't put my finger on it.. nor would it do any justice to it. Elias and I loved our experience. Morgan's friendly demeanor makes you feel instantly at home. She has somehow injected her art and her very essence into every area on the grounds and every collected item on display making you feel as though you are living in a curated museum. We stayed on the screened in porch, best sleep in a while!! You can feel the creative energy and thinking pulsating throughout.. yet there are also comfy nooks to rest and relax. There is also a haunting quality on the land especially near the old house museum. If we had to describe Mildred's Lane it would be a combination of homey, bizarre, and eclectic. A true space creatives can thrive. Thank you Morgan for opening your home to us and sharing an experience we won't forget!

    Kaila2019-05-27T00:00:00Z
  • Mildred's Lane is an amazing escape from NYC. Just two hours away from the city, it's an easy trip with so much to offer. From the amazing aesthetic of the house to the sprawling property, Morgans amazing hospitality and attention, to the cute towns surrounding Narrowsburg/Beach Lake, we will definitely be returning to Mildred's Lane for many years to come.

    Elyse2019-04-14T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I chose to stay at Mildred’s place on my birthday. I must say this was one of the best birthdays i had. When we arrived, Morgan the host greeted us and gave us a short history of the place and introduced us to a few other artists who were staying in Mildred’s lane. Morgan offered to make us a dinner for my birthday with a small additional fee. And we were so glad we opted for it instead of going to town to eat. She set up an outdoor, candlelit dinner for me and my husband and the best part was she bought a cake for me too! It was just perfect! The place was so peaceful and uniquely decorated. It felt like we were transported to a different era. Our room had antique decor and antique linens too! 😍 there is a nearby lake where you can swim and you can also stream dip down the hill. You really have to see the place yourself. Words are not enough to describe this hidden gem!

In the summer enjoy the ambiance from the swing chair on the front porch or one of the deck chairs in the back yard. Daily breakfast buffet includes fresh-baked muffins, oatmeal, toast, homemade preserves, scrambled eggs and local smoked trout. Included in the stay is a $10 discount for nearby One Grand Books, where every book is handpicked by a luminary.
The river town of Narrowsburg has experienced something of a renaissance in recent years with a range of boutique stores and a handful of excellent restaurants, including The Laundrette and The Heron, both of which overlook the scenic Delaware River. The town also plays host to several annual festivals including The Deep Water Literary Fest in June, River Fest in July, and the Honeybee Festival in late September. There is excellent hiking nearby at Ten Mile River, and a single screen cinema in a quonset in nearby Callicoon that shows art house movies as well as mainstream fare.
  • The home is cozy, clean, and conveniently located within walking distance of Narrowsburg’s charming Main Street. The kind and welcoming host knows the area well and serves as an excellent resource for restaurant recommendations, things to do, local history, etc. The host also prepares a delicious breakfast. It’s truly remarkable! You will not be disappointed.

  • My husband and I spent a great weekend at Aaron's place. Get ready to be spoiled by the great breakfast, comfy bed and Pip the cool cat!! We will be back for sure.

  • Fantastic place. Fantastic host. Definitely would stay again!

    Tina2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • The location is really close to downtown, the house is super charming and stylish and the host is so nice! The rooms are a good size and Aaron offers a fabulous breakfast. Aaron is available for questions but also discreet enough that he wasn’t intrusive. In fact we wanted to spend more time with him!

    Susan2019-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed as we were attending a concert at Bethel Woods. Perfect location and easy 20 minute ride right into parking lot. Great unexpected charm and wonderful hospitality and conversation. Aarons made to order breakfast and French Press coffee while listening to Paul Simon on vinyl was top notch. He even met my wife's Gluten Free needs. Charming downtown only 2 minute walk away. We will stay here anytime we see a show.

    Gary2019-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • Aaron's home is so convenient to everything in town. Aaron is an incredibly charming and gracious host. His home is very stylish and comfortable.

    Mary Anne2019-07-20T00:00:00Z
  • We had a surprise when we reached Aaron's home; his basement was flooded and there was no running water. Aaron quickly rectified this by arranging for us to stay at the nearby elegant home of friends and still managed to cook/bring us breakfast daily, recommend a local museum on a rainy day and offer us sunblock for when we went hiking. Our review for the bed/facilities are for the elegant environment we were invited into (due to Aaron's quick thinking) but Aaron is definitely included in the hospitality during this trying time.

Mildred’s Lane is an art project site and home, deep in the woods with open fields situated on 95 acres surrounded by views, meadows, ponds, and streams; perfect for group retreats or a romantic weekend getaway out of the city. The Main House has rooms with several rustic cabins and outbuildings on the property, only 1.5 miles from historic Narrowsburg, NY, on the Delaware River; enjoy water sporting, exploring galleries, fine restaurants, art and antiques and the famous One Grand Books store.
Fall and Winter months, guests are welcome to enjoy hiking, canoeing, kayaking, sledding, skiing in the area, or curl up by a wood burning fire in the Main House library. Our library, which has been featured for its design in several interior design collections, is very dense with hundreds of books on art, philosophy, theory, architecture, field guides, science, and natural history. Spring and Summer are a time of exploration for us. Over the past twenty years, we have opened our home to creative practitioners from around the world. From early June through August, contemporary artists, writers and naturalists convene here for retreat and project collaboration. We host lectures, workshops, tours, and exhibitions. Our Airbnb guests are welcome to swan in on the experience, enjoying the day’s projects and the evening’s programming. For the adventurer, there is hiking, fishing, swimming, kayaking, canoeing, and river rafting in the area. Mildred’s Lane is a very special place. For the artist or sojourner, young couple or family, we are so happy to welcome you to our home and community.
We are 1.5 miles from historic Narrowsburg, NY, where guests enjoy exploring award–winning galleries, restaurants, antiquing and the famous One Grand Books store. The beautifully pristine Delaware River is perfect for the adventurer interested in fishing, swimming, kayaking, canoeing, and river rafting. Rentals are available at Lander's River Trips in nearby Narrowsburg. You are deep in the woods, where there is an abundance of wildlife that we cherish, animal sightings are usual everyday events.
  • This place is entirely unique! It's like living in a museum, exhibits that are neatly arranged everywhere you look in the main house. It's not for the faint-hearted though, the steps are a challenge and the driveway is scary, but the library alone is worth the trip! Not to mention the scenery and the peaceful calm all around, the people are really, really cool and interesting.

    Bob2019-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • Morgan's house is full of beautiful details and surprises. The guests are all super friendly, and the comings and goings of the property have a wonderful energy to them. There is so much green to explore in the surrounding property - grass, trees, moss, ferns. The place and the company is guaranteed to leave you feeling lighter.

    Jennifer2019-05-27T00:00:00Z
  • Morgan has created an incredible communal space that is beaming with character, love & culture. I stayed with my partner in the Peabody Chamber, the room (like most of the house) gives you instant feeling of relaxation & comfort. The bed was incredibly comfortable, bath big enough for two, with beautiful views of the surrounding forrest. Morgan & her son gave us plenty of privacy, but Morgan was always super attentive to our needs. Morgan also happens to be an incredible cook!....I cannot recommend staying here enough....you will not be disappointed.... I would definitely stay here again without hesitation.... Thank you Morgan & Rabbit for your incredible hospitality & genuine care.

    Adam2018-10-26T00:00:00Z
  • Had a lovely weekend at Mildred's Lane! The interior design, surrounding nature, and Morgan's hospitality were all fantastic. Morgan was great in answering all our questions and accommodating our needs. We unfortunately got allergies from the cat, but it didn't deter our trip much!

    Devansh2018-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • When you book a stay at Mildred's Lane, you are in for a wonderful treat. More than mere lodging, it's an immersive meditation on art, community, and domesticity. Every part of the site, from the spacious main house with its artful library and gorgeous kitchen to the grounds and outbuildings, seems designed to both delight and inspire. The Peabody Chamber, our bedroom in the main house, was a quiet, comfortable retreat, but we spent little time there because the rest of the house and grounds beckoned. We were lucky to stay during the last weekend of the 2018 Summer Sessions and we arrived to find a lively group of artist fellows and their mentors making homemade pasta in the kitchen. Everyone was really welcoming and we were able to attend the Social Saturday the next evening: a fantastic evening of delicious food and thoughtful dinner theater that ended with a bonfire. Morgan is a warm and generous host, inviting you to share in the incredible world she has created. I'm only sorry we couldn't stay for breakfast on Sunday morning. I look forward to returning in another season, as I imagine Mildred's Lane would be the perfect cozy retreat in the fall and winter. Nearby Narrowsburg is a gem of a town, with many things to see, do and eat, despite its size, though once you get to the lane, you may not want to leave.

    Heather2018-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • What an absolute find! Mildred's Lane was such an unexpected rustic luxury for us - easily the best airbnb experience we have had. The drive up from NYC is scenic and easy (so long as you get out of Manhattan traffic). We arrived to a wood burning fire and our host, Morgan, waiting up for us with a nightcap and hot water bottles already tucked into the foot of our bed to make for the warmest welcome ever (we visited in mid-February). THE TOWN: We spent the next two days with Morgan and a couple other guests at the Lane. On the first day we ventured into the town, essentially one half-mile "Main Street," which boasts a wine shop (where the owner is of course friends with Morgan), beautiful and contemporary book store, a great restaurant with a speak-easy in the basement, and several surprisingly "hip" and modern clothing and antique shops. There is also a standard grocery store and gas station for gathering goodies to bring back to the Lane -- after a few hours in town, we decided that as sweet as Narrowsburg is, it's best feature is Morgan's Lane itself. MILDRED'S LANE: We went back home (it did feel like home strangely quickly) and stayed put the rest of the weekend. Morgan is a contemporary designer, both fashion and interiors, and modern day "world-maker." (She is also a fourth generation beekeeper - so expect some AMAZING honey straight from her family's business on the Big Island in Hawaii ). The main barn is an art installation itself, with hand-crafted shelves, woodwork, and masonry all completed by local artisans over the last twenty plus years. The rooms are comfortable, and the amenities as well. Morgan and her son live in the house as well - Morgan in a separate basement level, and Rabbit upstairs in his own bedroom. We felt entirely comfortable in the main house, and enjoyed getting to learn about the local area, beekeeping, and all Mildred's Lane's programs for artists in the summer from Morgan. Upstairs there are two guest bedrooms, one "the sleeping porch" enclosed outdoors, and the other inside adjoining the bathroom with a large tub with bath salts. On the main floor, there is a library filled wall-to-wall, ceiling-to-floor with books on the natural sciences, art, history, and design. Lots of taxidermy and natural artifacts on display. And a massive kitchen and dining area for meals - or for us, writing and reading while snacking all day and listening to Morgan's jazz playing throughout the house. Downstairs is Morgan's sleeping quarters. She was happy to keep to herself and give us full reign of the house, or to join us for dinner and nighttime stories. THE PROPERTY: The grounds are equally interesting. In addition to the Main House, there are several "outhouses," each their own art, feel, and cozy textiles and hot water bottles for the winter. These rooms do not have amenities but are all a few steps from an extra...

Beautiful house with an acre of private frontage on the Delaware River, just 2 hours from the George Washington Bridge. Welcoming style inside, with sprawling lawn, fire pit, and bald eagles overhead outside. Great hiking and fishing nearby. Walking distance to charming main street with great restaurants and shops. Newly renovated chef's kitchen with Bosch stove, dishwasher and farmhouse sink. Relax in the brand new deep soak tub. Central heat & AC (Nest system). Unwind and enjoy the river life!
The space is beautifully renovated, with an open and super-welcoming feeling. There are wide plank oak floors that were sustainably sourced from nearby forests. Likewise the bluestone countertops were cut from a local quarry. In the main living area, there are two large double doors that look right out on the rive. On the deck there are two sustainably made, gray adirondack chairs with a table for relaxing and taking in the river view. Wonderful in the morning and at sunset. There is a sprawling front lawn with a fire pit, as well as an iron dining set for two. On the bluff area there is a new wooden picnic table that seats 8, perfect for hanging out or dining outside. In the side yard, which is also quite large (the property is an acre), there are two vintage chairs and a table underneath two tall sugar maple trees. There are also six adirondack chairs that can be used anywhere on the property.
The house is in the charming town of Narrowsburg, a quiet, fun Catskills town that has the best of all worlds. Nature, culture, and friendliness. There's phenomenal dining (brunch, lunch and dinner) at The Heron, a farm-to-table restaurant overlooking the river which is a huge draw and has been written up in the New York Times. There is also The Cup, a warm and friendly coffee shop with the best egg & cheese bagel you could ask for, and baked goods and newspapers too. Then there's Vinny's farm fresh Italian food, The Laundrette, a wood-fired pizza place with great cocktails with sprawling river views, Narrowsburg Proper for specialty food shopping, The Nest (owned by a former Vogue editor) for home and design, Velvet Maple for vintage and unique items and designer clothes on the affordable side, One Grand bookstore, which is a perfectly curated and welcoming independent book shop (that's been written up in Architectural Digest, New York Magazine, and the New York Times), Meyer Wasner clothing shop for fashionable high-end clothing, The Delaware Valley Arts Alliance for art shows and galleries, and Lander's River Trips for rafting and canoe excursions all along the Delaware. Hiking is plentiful nearby, with the Ten Mile River Boy Scouts having thousands of acres just a ten minute drive away. There's also great skiing within driving distance, and trees and nature everywhere.

Located in the heart of Narrowsburg and sitting on Little Lake Erie, this recently refurbished home was originally built in 1853. Benefiting from modernization, it features original timber joists and in some areas original wide planked floorboards.. The house is conveniently located just 2 minutes walk to all the nearby restaurants, boutique shops, galleries and the Delaware River. A popular spot for fishing, hiking, biking and accessing the mountains.
Built in 1853, our 1700sq ft home has undergone extensive refurbishment that has included a new kitchen with granite worktops, a walk in shower and en-suite bathroom off the Master suite. A log burning fire in the living room gives a cosy space to relax and enjoy the view of the peaceful lake and giant black walnut tree in the front of the property.
This peaceful lakeside home is quiet and beautiful yet is situated so close to the Main Street that all the local amenities are within walking distance.
  • This is a wonderful place to stay if you want close proximity to the Narrowsburg RIverfront businesses. You really get a feel for the small town charm. Russell couldn’t be more gracious. He greeted me like I was an old friend. The room and bath were modern, clean, quiet and comfy. He adds little touches like soaps, warmed towels and little sweets. Great value.

  • I had a lovey weekend in Narrowsburg at Russell’s place. It was everything I needed and more. Beautiful home, super clean, stylish and comfortable, all while being steps away from Main Street. Russell is quick to reply and welcoming to his home. And he makes a great cup of coffee! I’m already planning my return stay.

  • The house is warm, efficient, comfortable, and perfect for four guests and a dog. Although the December weather was cold, the screened-in porch was inviting, and our dog, Lucy, spent much time there. We did, too, with coffee in the mornings. The house is well located, very close to the beautiful Delaware River and a five-minute walk from the main street of Narrowsburg. We enjoyed the restaurants in town and exploring the trails nearby. I highly recommend Zipora's place. We loved it, and we will surely go back.

  • One of the best AirBnBs we have stayed at. AnnMarie was great in communicating with us. Her home was wonderful!! An old 1860 farmhouse with all modern amenities. Beautiful scenery, especially sitting at the large farmhouse kitchen table looking out at the trees, bluejays and running stream. The bedding was thick warm down comforters and comfortable mattresses --all perfect for a COLD winter weekend. Would definitely stay there again.

The coffee shop in nearby Narrowsburg was a great place to meet friendly people and get info on the area. Be sure to go hiking and explore all the Delaware River has to offer. Ann Marie, thank you for you hospitality! We count you as a friend.

  • Ann Marie & Jeff were wonderful hosts. We were able to meet prior to our stay to collect keys, and Jeff was at the house when we arrived to give us a tour. This made everything very easy including when it was time to leave the house (Garbage, recycling, clean up and key drop off). The house is exactly as described. Warm, cozy, lots of space, everything you would expect from a farmhouse in the country but with all the modern amenities such as wifi and apple TV. Kitchen had everything we needed including a dishwasher, coffee maker etc. Outdoor space was large, well maintained and great for our toddler to explore and watch the wildlife that regularly visited. We hope to make this a regular summer event for our family and friends.

  • If you get the opportunity, definitely stay here! Everything was wonderful, Amy was extremely accommodating and helpful during our stay. It was very clean and cozy. Would love stay here again! 10/10 recommend :)

  • My friends and I (8 total) enjoyed this beautiful farmhouse to ring in the new year. The entire home was loving and we used every space. The view was so beautiful and we took walks around the property. Truly such a relaxing and quick get away with close friends. The only issue some of the other guests stated was that the upstairs got extremely hot at night. My fiancé and I slept on the first floor and had no heating issues. Overall, would highly recommend!

  • What a beautiful home and property! Everything was perfect. We booked a few nights for a weekend wedding in Damascus and reception at The Central House. The location was very convenient. We wished we had more time to enjoy the home. Thought it would be perfect for gathering the family for a holiday, no matter the time of year. Noticed the house has been in the family for generations which made it even more special. We hope to return soon!

  • Amy’s home hosted us during a very special weekend while in town for our wedding. The house instantly calmed us, and she was more then accommodating throughout our stay. It will always be a very special place for us and we would love to come back! So clean, scenic, and has everything you could need. Thanks Amy!

  • Amy’s house is incredible. From start to finish the whole booking process and stay were amazing. Extremely quick responses and helpful recommendations. The house is immaculate and beautifully decorated. Great WiFi and central air condition. Fully stocked with everything you need for a fun-filled weekend. The backyard and pond were the highlight of the trip - we hope to be back!

  • Roseann's place was extremely clean and very beautiful. The location right on the river was amazing and we had a fantastic long weekend. This location is definitely a must see if staying in Narrowsburg!

  • Our 2 days at Rosies Retreat was perfect. Everything went smooth. He house was neat and clean. The bathrooms and kitchen were new. The furniture was updated and comfortable. And the view is tranquil.

  • This is such a lovely house, in a tranquil setting and close to town. We spend a lot of time in the area and will definitely be back. Roseann was a perfect host - responsive and accommodating... Thank you!

  • Impeccably clean, modern everything, better than any hotel, all the toiletry products you could imagine, wonderful lighting, the back yard is the Delaware River with ducks and geese and scenic sights everywhere you look. Perfect for kayakers and those wanting to visit Bethel Woods Center for the Arts. Loved hearing the train roll past with the country nostalgic feelings it evoked. Host was lightening fast in all responses and very helpful with all requests. Highly recommended.

  • The house is lovely and the river view can't be beat. From the sparkling water to stars in the sky. All around a lovely place.

  • Spending time in Narrowsburg on the Delaware river is a family tradition. Taking canoes down skinners falls and enoying the peacefull ride down the river to Bob landers is a get away we always look forward to. This year we enjoyed the trip with our older children and decided to spoil ourselves a little. Thank you Roseann; your Rosie's River Retreat home will now be a part of our tradition. Camping is fun, but staying at your retreat on the waterfront and enjoying the luxuries of your beautiful kitchen, outdoor fire pit, bbq, and your amazing home to protect us from the rain we got the last night made our escape perfect. See you next year.

  • Russell's home was clean, super close to Main Street, and full of charm! A great escape with tons of character!

    Brit2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Russell's place was very clean and spacious. We were just one couple, but the place could comfortably hold a larger family or group of friends. Check-in was easy and seamless. The location was great, as it was just a 5 minute walk to the restaurants and shops that "downtown" Narrowsburg offers. We hope to return soon.

    Heather2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • We loved staying at Russell's place! We booked the house for a friends' getaway and were very happy with out stay. The house is very comfortable and well furnished, and conveniently located to Main Street in Narrowsburg. We enjoyed the quiet of the country while being such a short walk from all of the fun that Main Street has to offer. We spent the weekend chilling out, enjoying a fire in the fireplace, making breakfast and dinner in the kitchen. The house is really well laid out, and all the little things one looks for in an AirBnb have been thoughtfully provided. I highly recommend staying at Russell's home! I'd love to return again, if the opportunity arises!

  • Time at Mildred's Lane is truly transformative. It is a place of collective growth, introspection, engaging discussion and incredible care. I am so grateful for having been able to witness this expanding art & hospitality project that is both an archive of the past and a constant attempt at rein-visioning possibilities for the future. The architecture and design of every space is so carefully assembled, a weaving of personal narratives and lives in the most scenic landscape. An unforgettable experience! - Marie + Leah + Thomas

  • Mildred's lane is a magic place. We were greeted by two deer under the apple tree and saw all kinds of natural wonders. The setting is beautiful, the pond a delight. It's the experience of being in a cabinet of curiosities. Things to look at, books to read, J Morgan's project is vast and entire. I loved my time there.

    Melora2019-08-14T00:00:00Z
  • Total, utter, pure magic. Indescribably beautiful, full of inspiration and provocation. To have access to places (and people) like Morgan's are what makes Airbnb a rather special thing.

    Madeleine2019-05-27T00:00:00Z
  • Hands down the best experience possible. This place is honestly one of the most magical places on earth. Morgan is an incredible host and a lovely human being. Could not recommend staying here more.

    Kyle2018-11-30T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely enchanting. A wonderful place for calm and so much to explore and do.

    Jeb2018-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • I can't fully describe how wonderful Mildred's Lane was, and I wouldn't want to describe it fully, because this is really a place to be explored and experienced. My partner and I had such an amazing time there, exploring the prairie and woods, swimming in the pond with frogs, appreciating the intricately designed buildings filled with complexity and featured in art magazines, meeting really good people, eating local German sausages cooked on a fire, and drinking in the summer night on the porch under a sky full of stars. It was an escape from New York, like Snake Plissken, but more than an escape it was a place to grow, comfortably rediscover nature, and sink back into an eternity of nostalgia. Morgan was so hospitable and kind, it was incredible. And Narrowsburg on the Delaware River was beautiful. This is the best Airbnb experience I've ever had, and we would recommend it to everyone.

    Jay2018-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • We thought we knew what to expect when we booked the horse shed at Mildred's Lane, but our expectations were exceeded. Staying at Mildred's lane transported us to another world. The accommodations were so unique that we were always looking at something. The woods were serene and we felt so disconnected from it all. Seemingly normal tasks were amazing, like using the outdoor shower or eating outside on the open porch with the sound of nature surrounding you. If you're looking for an amazing treasure to take a break from it all, J Morgan's place is definitely the place to go.

    Emily2018-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • I hesitate to write too much about this place because there are so many extraordinary things about it that reward curiosity and I don't want to spoil them! It rained while we were there, and it was still utterly magical and very comfortable, but an AWD vehicle and waterproof shoes proved useful. There is ample reading material and plenty to explore on site, both indoors and outside. The town is also lovely and we spent a few hours there visiting the bookshop, wine store, galleries and the Laundrette restaurant.

This old time country setting is the perfect place for vacations/gatherings for family and friends. The originally built 1930's cabin sits only yards away from a private 135 acre lake! With 2 bedrooms, dining area, and a full kitchen with a propane stove, this cabin is ideal for feeling relaxed! The private lake is great for swimming, boating (no gas motors), and playing on the beach.
  • We stayed over the weekend at Ethan’s place on the lake. Great location and use of kayaks was incredible to be included. Star gazing and sitting around the fire at night. Will be back again.

    John2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • Ethan’s place is very homie and he is very helpful. Though not on site, he has family that helps around and do what they can to make guests feel at home. The place is one of multiple cabins in the area but there is plenty of privacy. I’m glad we chose this location as there were a peddle boat and many other fun activities for us to do.

    Humphrey2019-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • This was our second stay at Beach Lake and the minor upgrades in the cabins made a big difference. Hope to be back again!

    Leah2019-08-14T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful location and convenient to hiking, kayaking, etc. surprisingly quiet with a hotel next door. The place grew on us. Will likely be back.

    Ericka2019-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • Such a nice little cabin with an amazing lake. Charcoal was supplied for our grill, lots of wood for the bonfire, kayaks, a paddle boat and adirondack chairs and the fish where biting! The only bad part of our trip was that it wasn’t longer! We will definitely be back!

    Melissa2019-05-26T00:00:00Z
  • The lake is fantastic. There was a pair of bald eagles nesting within close viewing distance of the beach. We enjoyed watching the mallards on the lake as well as the great blue herons and belted kingfishers. Take advantage of the kayaks and rowboats. There was a church group staying in the adjacent Pine Grove cottages who were very loud initially (they come down every 2nd weekend in September and rent the whole place out) but eventually turned their music down (there is no noise ordinance in Beach Lake). Ethan provides free charcoal and lighter fluid for you to use on the BBQ and a big campfire for roasting s'mores. Food-wise, there is not much within walking distance (except for Joe's Ranch house, a smoky dive bar with a pretty limited menu) but there are lots of options in Narrowsburg and Honesdale, only 10-15 minutes away.

    Brian2018-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • Ethan's cabin was charming, set with a lodge with multiple other homes. Although Ethan mentions it beforehand, be aware there are no towels/sheets provided, so bring your own. There is a diner, a Dollar General, and a bar within walking distance. I had a great time and was perfect for a weekend!

    Natalie2018-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • This is my second time staying at Tuscarora Lodge and I enjoyed it immensely. The cabins are private and in a good location--it's so to be able to use the boats and kayaks that Ethan provides, along with ping pong, swings, and a basketball hoop. The only issue I had was that the shower was a bit dirty but nothing major. I would definitely come back to Beach Lake and stay here!

Mildred's Lane is an artist site deep in the woods, yet only a mile and a half from Narrowsburg NY. THere are popular regional restaurants, entertainment, and shops just that close. The site offers several artist projects, historical sites, exhibitions, a swimming pond, outdoor firepits and cooking, nature trails, and more!
The Sleeping closet is adjacent to a uniquie shower room, a rock garden, with a private water closet and bidet. Both rooms open out, through french doors to a rustic green room with a wood stove and private seating area, work area, dining area, or other.
The room is in the Main Building that functions much like a nature lodge with a fantastic library of nature books, field guides, design and architecture books, art/culture and theory books. The collection of art and artifacts is overwhelming; you are in a cabinet of curiosities!

    John2019-07-27T00:00:00Z
  • These cottages, and this location, are really special! They are literally right on the water, and the lake is so great. We had such a great time staying here, and so did our dog (she loved splashing and swimming in the water, and chasing her ball around in the big open lawn behind the cottages). We spent our days using the free kayaks, swimming, floating on our tubes (which we brought), grilling next to our cabin, and just lounging about outside enjoying the very calm and relaxing setting. The cottages are as pictured and described-- rustic and old school with minimal frills, but well maintained and perfectly suited for a wonderful lakeside getaway. They are all lined up in a row pretty close to each other, and the beach itself for the property is pretty small - that just means you'll likely get to know your neighbors a bit as you sit around by the water, or firepit, and chat. If you're looking for a solo getaway, just know that there will be other folks in their cabins close by. Everyone staying on the property while we were there were super cool and chill, a couple families with young kids, and a couple young couples; a good mix of very nice people all enjoying a lakeside getaway! We had one small issue when we arrived, as we didn't have hot water... but Ethan and Bob were super quick to respond and fix the issue (I think Ethan literally responded within 2 minutes, and then within 30 we were all set). Very attentive! Great hosts, and a really great property - can't beat this location for relaxing. Would definitely go back in the future, and get some friends to rent the cottages next to ours!

    Eric2019-07-06T00:00:00Z
  • Ethan and his family were great hosts. They were very welcoming and shared a lot about the history of the place. The location itself is on the lakefront and we had kayaks and boats ready for our use at any time! This was the only pet friendly place in the area and our pup (Whiskey) tremendously enjoyed swimming in the lake and running around in general :). We got acquainted with other visitors in the cabins around ours that made for great fireplace conversations. The cabin itself was really old (1930s), but was well maintained. The whole place has a history that dates back to 1910! It is always great to be a little part of history. The location is serene, very peaceful and offers great starry nights and beautiful mornings with only chirping birds to wake you. Awesome place, will go back.

    Sanjay2018-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • Good location and had everything you needed for the lake. Would go back again defiantly!

    Kaity2018-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • My friends and I had a great stay at Ethan’s place! It was my second time staying here and I definitely plan to come back in the future. The cabins are located on a private lake and we had free use of kayaks and other boats! All the cabins are located in close proximity to each other so it was also great getting to meet other guests around the campfire at night time and just all around create some lifelong memories. I can’t wait to come back!

We will definitely be back when the flowers are in bloom :) Would highly recommend to anyone looking for peace, quiet and a wonderful host. She also has the cutest pup 🐶

  • What a gorgeous place! Spent such a relaxing weekend at The farm's cottage, I can't wait to have a chance to go back when the flowers are in bloom! Katharine was fantastic and made breakfast in the morning, what a treat, best eggs I've had in ages!!!

    Martín2018-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • On a long weekend in November my girlfriend and I went looking for a quiet relaxing getaway within a reasonable driving distance of Philadelphia. I would be hard-pressed to imagine a place meeting that need any better than Katherine’s Flower Farm cottage. The farm is beautiful, tranquil and almost immediately calming. There are ample opportunities to walk around, explore and let the scenery soak in. The chickens and cows only add to the experience. The cottage itself was very comfortable and well suited to reading a good book and lapsing into a deep sleep. Having grown very accustomed to living in a city the dark and the quiet at night on the farm were striking and very welcome. Katherine and George were very friendly and readily available if needed without being intrusively ever-present, which made it easy to feel at home on the farm very quickly. And the eggs. I would be remiss if I did not mention that the eggs that Katherine served for breakfast were truly some of the best I can remember having. Their two dogs are also worthy of mention. Both were very friendly and Katie the dog was invariably up for tagging along on a walk. The company of a dog adds a lot to the already immensely pleasurably experience of striding through farm fields along stacked stone walls on a crisp November day. There is a surprising amount to see and do within an easy drive of the farm. While there we hiked in a state park and in Honesdale we visited two breweries, browsed in a nice bookshop, took in a temporary art installation (The Paper Caves) and dined at a farm to table restaurant with a delicious take on poutine and good cocktails. The blood and sand was a personal favorite. If you’ve found your way to this listing I think the chances are very good that this is exactly what you are looking for. Highly recommended.

  • Katharine's farm is beautiful and, given this was our second trip there, we loved it. She and her family are incredibly accommodating with recommendations in town to a beautiful fire pit they set up for us. It's the perfect escape from the city!

    Ryan2017-07-24T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome farm fun! We brought our toddler who loved seeing the chickens, cows, dogs, cat, birds, and flowers. The cabin is well stocked with everything we needed, and the bed was very comfortable. Our hosts let us roam freely around the farm, which has so many different areas to explore including the pond, flower gardens, chicken coop, barn and fields. This is a great getaway from the busy city life and a very beautiful part of PA to discover.

    Devika2017-04-30T00:00:00Z
  • My boyfriend and I stayed at this lovely cottage valentine's day weekend. Although it was negative degree temperature outside this place was bright and warm. It was perfect for a quiet, peaceful getaway. Katharine was a wonderful host and stayed in contact before we got there to the time we left. AND she made us a delicious breakfast tray! Despite not being able to explore as much because of the weather it was a relaxing time. We love this place and recommend it whole heartedly if you just wanna get away from the crazy. Would love to see how beautiful the area is in the spring and summer.
