  • Super comfortable bed, nice big room to relax in with t.v./roku, very nice convenient location. If I had needs they were very accommodating.

  • We spent one night on our way west with Joyce and Tom in their Brazil home. The upstairs is fantastic, the bed is so comfy with a number of pillows to pick from and the shower was great! You couldn’t meet a nicer, more warm couple to host you!!!

  • Second time my girlfriend and I have stayed here. Wonderful space, the loveliest people, and in a nice little part of the general area. We couldn't have been more thrilled either time and encourage any who need to stay in the area to choose this place first. Between the bedroom and the private upstairs living space and bathroom, there's plenty of space to relax and feel at home. The hosts are so friendly and sweet. Would definitely return again.

  • Joyce and Tom are very friendly and inviting. Their home is beautiful and clean, while still being homey and comfortable. Joyce gave us a lot of good information and was quick to respond even though we booked the night before. They also provide breakfast in the morning which is very thoughtful.

    jenny2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Joyce and Tom were wonderful hosts. The space was perfect and I couldn't have asked for a better stay.

    Garrett2020-02-01T00:00:00Z
  • Joyce and Tom’s place really is a haven for travelers! And the bed is fit for a queen, so easy to sink your weary bones into after a long day of traveling. Joyce and Tom were especially accommodating of my late booking and late arrival, giving extra instructions for navigating in the dark and personally settling me in. There’s so many personal touches that it feels like a home away from home. And cinnamon buns for breakfast :)

    Archana2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • This is our second stay and we weren’t disappointed! In addition to beautiful and comfortable accommodations as well as warm hospitality, the breakfasts were delicious.

Newly constructed in 2017 "The Barn" offers a unique space containing over 970 square feet. Plenty of space to relax and watch tv, go for a walk, or just relax and enjoy the country. Close to Rockville, Greencastle and Terre Haute.
The Barn was constructed in 2017 and completed in 2018. It is home to Three adults and two dogs. The Air BNB space is a beautiful loft at the top of the interior stairs with a large private bathroom containing over 970 square feet of space to relax and watch tv or play cards and games. The Barn is a truly rustic setting with lots of country roads for walking. You may even see deer, fox, rabbits and many different and beautiful birds. The front porch has a lovely space to sit and relax after a busy day.
While we are only one mile from a state highway we are definitely in the country. We are surrounded by farm fields and horse farms.
  • The bed in this place might be the most comfortable thing I've ever slept on. Lovely space overall, I was sad I only got to spend 1 night!

Close to Rockville, Mansfield, Bridgeton and Raccoon Lake, we are nestled in the woods, off the beaten path and have plenty of outdoor space. Our place is great for people who are looking for a place to relax and get away-a convenient location for hunters and others who would like to visit Parke County. There is one bedroom with a queen and full size bed and also a full size sofa bed in the living room. A gas grill on the deck, refrigerator, coffee maker and microwave are provided .
Located in the upstairs of a barn, you will have your own access to a fully furnished one bedroom apartment.
  • Great place to stay! You’ll think (if you’re a city kid like me) what am I getting myself into.... but it was awesome! Paul was understanding with switching our reservation and we would definitely stay again.

    Josh2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful place and wonderful attention to details that make for great hospitality. We were not expecting throwing hatchets, fresh flowers, plentiful snacks, or a kitchenette so well supplied with utensils and cooking options. Recommend!

    Josh2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Booked the location for two clients. Paul was accommodating and responsive. Much appreciated.

    Leona2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay. It is a beautiful place surrounded by forest with many amenities exceeding our expectations. Thanks Paul!!

    Robert2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Great cozy little apartment. Watching the birds and squirrels on the back deck was a lot of fun. Many nice thoughtful touches inside (toaster over, hot plate, hair dryer, additional space heater, fresh flowers!). A bit of a bumpy and winding drive in, daylight and clear weather were appreciated for that. Half-hour drive from Turkey Run State Park, which was our main reason for visiting. Overall a great place to clear your head, and still a short drive to hiking, restaurants, shops etc. Glad we came!

    Halie2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Great country cabin!

    Michael2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • It was very nice secluded get away! It was a very cute decorated apartment! Our dogs loved the space to walk around a little bit and the dog that greeted us when we drove in was very nice! I would suggest coming during the daylight, getting there late when it was pitch black out was kind of creepy driving down all the dirt roads though!😂

    Jor2020-01-19T00:00:00Z

The 1938 barn is in the ❤ of Parke County and Covered Bridge Country. You will love the rustic charm of the converted barn that my Great Grandfather built in 1938. Guests are welcome to use the private bar to relax, get a few veggies from the garden, fish my favorite places at the lake or just chill at the camp fire. Enjoy all of the great nature activities around while staying at this unique, secluded country getaway!
This rustic barn apartment is situated a quarter mile off South SR 59 • 1 mile North of Mansfield. This space also offers a private butcher shop that can be arranged for use. We just added a small kitchenette in the apartment equipped with a mini fridge, microwave, and Keurig. There is a full kitchen in the bar area, just note that the bar space is not climate controlled.
We are about 1/2 mile off the road. There are a couple of weekend places on adjoining property. When you sit outside all you will see are fields and woodland. Raccoon Lake, Turkey Run, Lake Waveland and Shades state parks are very close. There is plenty of room for parking boats or trailers on the property
  • Nice place. We will return.

    Marti2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • A great time to relax and enjoy just being out of the craziness of life and very awesome host!

    Lisa2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Great place especially if you are looking to disconnect. Joe was very helpful through out the entire stay and consistently checked in if I needed anything. No amenities were missing. Place was clean and as described. The bar area is great especially if you are visiting with some friends. I would def come back again !

  • Very unique building and a great value for the price. Book it, you won’t be disappointed!

    Andrew2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • This is hands-down my favorite Airbnb thus far. The drive to this place is filled with adorable farmland and the place itself is tactfully decorated, cozy, and very clean. It's nice to be secluded from cell-signal- really makes you enjoy the badass bar just above the apartment! Joe is a great host- and quick with communication. The location is perfect for a quick drive to Turkey Run, local antique shops, and a killer bar- just down the road. Will 100% try to book the Barn again in the future.

    Nicholas2019-11-21T00:00:00Z
  • Joe was very helpful with any questions, the place was nice and quiet. My partner and I had a great time.

    Michael2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • This place is in a quiet country location in the heart of all the "covered bridge" activities area. As advertised, this small apartment is in a barn built around 80 years ago. I would describe it as more of a rustic place, but clean (for being in a barn) and very comfortable. The bed was too hard for me, but my wife loved it. There is a comfortable recliner and small love seat along with 2 kitchen chairs and a table. Other than the bathroom that is a room by itself, everything else is in the same room. Small kitchenette, small living room, bedroom, and in the middle of the apartment is a wonderful wood burning stove that kept us very comfortable on nights where the temps were in the 30's. There were a couple other sources of heat as well, but we loved the wood burner. The host was wonderful and very much appreciated. Cell service was spotty, but we could get one bar of 4G outside the rental and occasionally inside the rental on our T-Mobile service. Don't go there thinking that this rental is a 4 or 5 star resort, and you probably will not be disappointed. It is a hand crafted, hand built apartment in a 80 year old BARN, and it fit our needs and either met or exceeded most of our expectations. We love rustic quiet locations and we do hope to some day return to this rental for another stay. Thanks again Joe for sharing your place with us!

    Curtis2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • Very Rustic and Wonderful! Perfect for Covered Bridge Festival because it's minutes from Mansfield, yet nice and quiet for sleep. The barn is super cool and spacious, while outside is very peaceful and scenic! Definitely would recommend and will look to reserve again next year at this time. Thank You!!!

  • Angela sure makes you feel special and really goes out of her way to make sure she has everything perfect with thoughtful additions like bananas on the table, oatmeal for the morning, provides milk, orange juice, condiments, coffee, to name a few. You name it or request it... she will make sure you have everything you need and more but more than likely she probably has two of it already OR she will probably offer to pick up whatever it is you might need whether you do or do not have a vehicle! :) Her house rules are nothing out of the ordinary and she asks very little in return for as much as she gives so don’t let any negative comment get the best of your decision from staying here because it’s your loss if you do! Privacy isn’t an issue either. She has a long drapery-like fabric hanging over a room divider that you can finesse enough to give you more privacy if you’d like. She gives you all the privacy you need. Also, she recently got Arlo security cameras placed (in the main walking areas of course.. bedrooms/bathrooms don’t have cameras in them.) The location is amazing. 8 minute drive West to ISU campus and 8 minute drive East to Rose-Hulman. Walmart is even only a 10 minute drive. It is located right behind a Starbucks, Kroger, Post Office, and CVS. Everything you could possibly need is either walking distance or Angela provides. I am definitely staying with her for future days😁👌🏻

  • Wow a peaceful, relaxing and entertaining (if that’s what you choose) atmosphere! Love this piece of heaven! Great place to enjoy nature and water activities, or set back and read a book, enjoy a fire and play games with family and friends! Great place to escape the fast pace life we live!

    Shelly2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful place for glamping. Just about everything you need is provided, and more.

    John2019-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • Very cool little "glamping" tent! We had a wonderful couple nights, even in the rain. The kayaks were fun to paddle around the lake. Nice and quiet. Great hosts. It would be fun to rent out all four tents for a family or friends get together.

    Betsy2019-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • Great get-a-way! Recommend to anyone! Host are wonderful people! Even gave little ones bag of candy!

    Kirsten2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • We couldn’t have asked for a more amazing end of summer/back to school trip with our family and best friends. The property is gorgeous, the “tents” clean and comfortable, supplies/equipment ample and the attention to detail awesome. Richard and Sherry are just as genuine and wonderful as their property. They went out of their way to make sure we had as much fun as possible, especially for our kiddos. We’ll most certainly be back ❤️❤️❤️.

  • Beautiful place for kayaking and fishing.

  • Great place to stay! It’s just really hot in July and would recommend bringing an extra fan with you!

    Samuel2019-07-20T00:00:00Z
  • Our family had a fantastic time! The privacy was great, crystal clear water in the lake and the kids loved kayaking! The location was well adorned and had everything you need for an amazing family trip! This is how camping should be and we Intend to return. The owners were helpful and super friendly! Highly recommend this place!!!

  • This was our third stay at the cottage! We simply love it here. Travis is an outstanding host and this cottage is perfect when we come home to visit family in TH. We highly recommend staying here and we will certainly be back when we return to TH. Thanks Travis for the excellent communication, accommodations, little special touches throughout the cottage (chocolates and seasonal decor), and of course continuing to host our family! Wonderful place!!!

    Maggie2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • This little house was so relaxing! I loved that Travis supports our pups being with us. The house was spotless, and the little touches thru it over the top! Loved being able to let my babies out to potty off leash in a safe enclosed yard. Loved the fun, eclectic, interior also. I would diffenintely stay here again!

    Shelly2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • I can't say nice enough things about Travis and this adorable house. It had everything we could have possibly needed and then some. Me and my dog Lucy felt safe, comfortable, and happy. Travis was also gracious enough to work with me and my crazy night shift schedule and allowed me to do late check out. Definitely recommend staying here!

    Asuka2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • Travis is an excellent host! The house is super cozy and was just perfect to rest and recharge after a full day of driving across the country. Travis thinks of so many little things that simply make you feel at home and the king size bed was incredibly comfortable. Great stay and highly recommended!

    Stephanie2020-01-13T00:00:00Z
  • Book it! Travis has thought of everything on this one. Three trainers and our dogs were so comfortable here. Plenty of room and so clean! Travis clearly has a heart for dogs. If you forgot it...he has it for you! We will be back here more this year.

    Tracy2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • This place is very clean and the host went out of his way to make us feel welcome! I highly recommend this place.

    Linda2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • We celebrated Christmas with our family at Travis’s home. It was well stocked, cozy and had so many personal touches that you don’t see in most Airbnb’s. Travis was, by far, these nicest and most responsive host we e’ve ever worked with. The home is neat, clean and very well equipped. My entire family commented on what a great job he had done with the home. We are talking about comingback again next year. Do not hesitate to rent this place. You will not be disappointed.

    Lori2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • Don’t hesitate to book here. Amazing, clean, well stocked, charming home with every single thing you could possibly need. Snacks, drinks, coffee, toiletries - the host has thought of everything to make people feel at home. Located in a cute area that felt safe and comfortable (female traveling alone). After the first night I changed my schedule and drove an extra few hours so I could stay again on my way home. Had a puppy with me the first night - was traveling to take him to his new home - and the fenced yard (and other canine touches inside )was such a huge bonus. Could not have been more pleased. You will not be disappointed!

  • This place is perfect if you like the outdoors and wildlife/animals. This is the first time we have “glamped” and I have to say I could totally get used to it, no wet tent/clothes/tarps to deal with! Score! My husband and I stayed for the covered bridge fest and it was the perfect set up for us! Johnnie was very kind to give us information for local festivities and things to see, seeming as we have never been to this part of Indiana! Her animals were just an added bonus to our stay as well. They’d come and go as we sat at the fire, wanting pets and us to play ball. We will definitely stay here again, maybe when it’s shrooming season!

  • I give this AirBnB 5 out of 5 stars. The hosts were very hospitable and welcoming. The area of the house in which we stayed was immaculate, warm and completely separate from the main house. This is the perfect spot to getaway and enjoy the quiet country side. We look forward to staying here again soon!

  • Very quaint, well appointed, private suite with all the amenities in the kitchen, bathroom, and separate library/office reading room. Wish we lived closer and could have stayed longer. We were just passing through on our way to Florida. Would recommend it highly to anyone in the area or for a quiet spot to stay on your way through to your next stop. Very nice!

    Mark And Jane2020-01-09T00:00:00Z
  • It was perfect. Quiet, comfortable (loved the bed), very clean, and so many interesting objects used in decorating that made it very unique. We will definitely stay here again when we are in the area - I want to come back in warmer weather so I can sit on the porch swing and read. Pam and Mark were wonderful hosts - welcoming and friendly. Quick response to my questions. We simply couldn't have asked for a better experience.

    Karen2020-01-07T00:00:00Z

  • This is a great place to stay. Very private, and a very nice place to stay. Pam is a fantastic host and I can’t imagine a better experience. We would definitely stay here again. Our only regret is not having more time together at the house. It would make for a fantastic getaway!

    John2019-11-16T00:00:00Z
  • There was absolutely nothing I would have changed. They are amazing hosts, very informative, receptive to all questions, the place was spotless, warm, inviting, it felt amazingly calming. Quiet as I wanted and coffee. :) This will definitely be a location I will come back to when I want to get away from home. I only live an hour or so away, but it felt like stepping into the mountains. Privacy, peace, AMAZING! Thank you so much!

  • One of my favorite Airbnb's to date. My family and I rented Connie's home for Christmas and it was absolutely perfect. We had plenty of space, it was sparkling clean and stylish, and had lots of personal touches and extra amenities. My sister already wants to stay here again the next time we're in town. Thanks again for the outstanding hospitality!

  • This place made a Christmas away from home something I will always remember! The house was super clean, warm and welcoming. Connie had a tree up for us and the place was decorated right down to Christmas pillows. The kitchen was great to work in! I would absolutely stay here again! Every detail was covered. Thank you!

    Drew2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • It truly felt like a home away from home. We were so comfortable at The Cozy Cottage and we didn’t have that cooped up feeling like you do in a hotel. Definitely a better experience and pricing than a hotel stay. We would love to stay again!

  • Easy place to stay for a week. Clean, convenient, more private than hotels.. my way to stay

    Austin2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • When I took a travel assignment 4 hours from home with a bag of stuff and my corgi Lucy, I never expected to find a place that made me feel like I was home away from home. Travis was such a wonderful host, willing to work with me every step of the way to make my stay more comfortable and accommodate my crazy schedule. I was pleasantly surprised by all the amenities he provided, even including doggie bags to pick up after my pup. The house is close to everything, and it is far enough from the busy street that I could take Lucy on a walk without having to worry about our safety. I'm so impressed by Travis's hospitality and I definitely recommend staying here if you come to Terre Haute!

Beautiful two story home located at the end of a very quiet cul de sac with woods in the back. Has real hardwood floors and a fireplace.
Guests are welcome to relax anywhere in the house.
Home is walking distance (approx. 6 blocks) from nationally recognized Bridges Restaurant. DePauw Nature Park is a five-minute drive from my home.
  • Jerry is an incredibly friendly and genuine host. We enjoyed meeting him and he was kind enough to take us on a tour of the town and university! We truly enjoyed our stay and would stay again if we were coming to the area!!

    Mary2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • Very clean an comfortable place. East access to Greencastle and DePauw. Jerome is a very personable host. Great place to stay.

    Glenn2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • Super great host. A real gentleman, and so helpful

    Norleen2019-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • Jerry is a great host. We have stayed at his place at least 3-4 times in the last few years and each time we are amazed at what a genuinely nice guy he is. His place is clean and well appointed, very convenient to DePauw University and Downtown Greencastle. Jerry is always ready with suggestions for restaurants and other things to do locally. Upstairs is a bedroom with a queen bed, a sitting room (chairs/TV) next to that and a bathroom with tub and shower across the hall. All sparkling clean. Highly recommended!

    Jonathan2019-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • Jerome's place was a fantastic choice for us. We have an infant (2 months old), so it was wonderful to have basically the whole upstairs to ourselves. The private bath is nice, super clean, and had many little extras for guests (like a razor, body wash, etc). We were surprised to find that we not only had the bedroom and bath but also a nice-sized lounge area to ourselves. The lounge had a coffee maker and water, and it was perfect for middle of the night feedings for our infant (even had a rocking chair--so nice). Jerome's neighborhood is quiet and close to many things. He recommended Wasser, a microbrewery about a mile away, for dinner, and we were so glad we went. Highly recommend, especially if it's a nice night. We ate on the covered patio and enjoyed the beautiful weather, a bottle of Prosecco, and some really good food. Definitely get the salmon cakes! Jerome himself is a jewel. He's very friendly but also gave us all the space we needed. When we started to load up to check out in the morning, he offered to make us coffee and breakfast, which we gladly accepted! We had eggs and delicious coffee, and we even filled our to-go mugs for the trip home. We absolutely plan to stay again when we are in the area to visit family. Can't recommend this place enough. Thanks, Jerome!

    Paul2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • Convenient to DePauw & quaint Greencastle. Nice quiet neighborhood with most of the upstairs just for you. Private little patio facing the woods. Friendly helpful Jerome was a great host.

Off the beaten path you will find our 2017 16 ft camper with tent bump out. Has 2 queen size beds, kitchen with 2 burner gas stove, refrigerator, Microwave, AC, heater, and bath with full shower. Located between the woods and koi pond, you will also have your own private campfire with wood provided and a picnic table. We are 5 miles down a gravel road, but when you get here you will see that it is worth it. Very limited cell phone access, so come and uplug and enjoy the campfire. We are close to Bridgeton and Mansfield, 12 miles from Rockville, with several covered bridges in the area.
Secluded, off the beaten path on a gravel road, but close to Bridgeton and Mansfield.
  • Paul and Janet's place was just fantastic out in the heart of Parke County. The scenery is awesome and their accommodations are great. I haven't had that much in ages. I just hope they'll let me come back.

  • We frequently stay in thearea and always love wh ed n Paul's place is available. Its perfect every time.

  • my boyfriend and i could not have enjoyed renting this little gem in the woods, more...you get peaceful seclusin and at the same time, have all the amenities of glamping..woods trails , nature on full display, and some friendly doggies...we highly reccomend it and definately will return in the future...

    Janelle2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • Paul’s camper is very nice! Check in was super easy and they even added little touches like snacks, coffee and coals for the grill. They were super fast to respond if I needed something too! They supplied the wood which was very helpful so I didn’t have to find and then buy some. They aren’t joking when they say there’s no service out there, there really is no service to one bar maybe and this includes the surrounding state parks as well. You have to drive about 30 mins to maybe find service. It’s a super nice place to unplug so bring a book of board games for downtime. Overall my stay was super nice, the camper was clean and had AC which is nice on a hot night. They were also welcoming to my dog who came along and their dogs are friendly and will come up to say hi. They are pretty close to Turkey Run and Shades state parks and there are tons of covered bridges as well!

    Sydney2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • This was such an amazing get away for my boyfriend and I. It was so quite and peaceful and absolutely what we needed. Paul’s doggies were also so cute and friendly. We had everything we needed and didn’t even have to leave for anything! Fire wood was provided, the bullfrogs at night were soothing and just the property and wild life was great! We most definitely recommend Paul and his camper in the woods.

    Brandy2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • Great Hoosier hospitality!

    Chantal2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect spot to camp at if you're in the area. The working a/c and refrigerator along with the kitchen were nice things to camp with. Thank you to Paul for hosting us.

    Brooke2019-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • Nature Lovers Paradise! We truly enjoyed our stay in the camper ( and the Ice Cold AC). The camper is located just a short 15 minute drive from Turkey Run State Park and Shades SP. We saw countless white tail deer, some wild turkeys, lots of cardinals, woodpeckers and bluejays, and even a loon! In the evening, the bullfrogs sang us a chorus in the koi pond as we sat by the bonfire. Paul has 3 wonderful dogs too and a sweet neighbor dog, Utah, who we adored during our stay. Highly recommend and will stay again if we visit the area in the future.

  • I had a great stay at Angela’s place for 1 month. I had the large room with the couches and it was nice to have all that space to myself as well as the dresser, desk and wardrobe. The only downside to this room is that a bathroom is not attached which the majority of the time means you have to go upstairs to use one. The bathroom upstairs is very nice and was always clean. It was always very quiet in the house and there was coffee made in the mornings. I would stay here again.

  • Angela’s place was great and Angela was amazingly kind and hospitable. The accommodations are a great value. Angela’s hospitality made the stay even more pleasant. She really made sure that I had everything I needed and that I felt comfortable. Just a note for other potential guests: the rooms are great and met my needs very well but they don’t all have doors and instead use privacy curtains and the like. Not a big deal for me but I think it’s worth knowing up front. :) Again, Angela was great, the place was great and super clean, and I would definitely stay again :)

  • Angela did a really good job on maintaining the house clean and functional. One night the AC was broken and at that night she bought a new AC unit immediately

  • First, Captain Bill is incredible. He was very accommodating and quick to respond with any questions. He was also flexible with check-in / check-out time, which was super helpful. The cottage was immaculate and very much lives up to the photos. We had quite a relaxing stay . If you’re looking for a peaceful place away from all the hubbub, then this is it!

  • Fantastic view! Squirrels are fun to watch & woodpeckers love the tree direct in front of the deck. Decorated very stylish & beds are very comfortable. We had a full rain out day & weren't disapointed with a day inside.
