Places to stay in Breaux Bridge

The 870 sq ft Cottage built in 1893 is completely renovated & full of local art & culture. It's perfect for a quiet get-a-way or for entertaining around the granite island. Small front porch is the prettiest in town!

We provide water, juice, coffee and fresh fruit for a continental style breakfast. Many appliances but no cooking stove. Step back in time in our Clawfoot Tub/Shower and wall sink. You will find less expensive places to stay in town, but none compares to the Cottage!! Guaranteed you'll get every pennies worth and more!!
  • Cute little place walking distance from downtown (and just about everything else.) The accommodations were not luxurious, but they were super cute and exactly what we needed for a short stay. The host is wonderful, and accommodated a late check in time for us. She also left some cookies and helpful recommendations for our stay. Kitchen facilities are limited but that was not a problem for us at all. With ready access to awesome Cajun food, who needs a full kitchen???

  • I loved staying in the cottage. it reminded me of my childhood. I was able to show and explain many things to my grandsons about my youth. I only wish that we could've stayed longer. communication with Loretta could not have been better and she is so helpful!! I do hope to spend a few more days in the cottage in the future!! It's a beautiful place to relax and have a true southern experience with true southern hospitality!

    Stephanie2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • This is the place! Don't hesitate to book yourself in for a lovely stay at Loretta's Cottage Downtown. It is lovely, and we really enjoyed the space that she has lovingly prepared. She has a very stylish touch, and everywhere you look there is a feast for the eyes. There were three of us and the home is perfect for relaxing while on holiday. It is best to eat out as there is not a stove here, but the food nearby is excellent. Breaux Bridge is a quaint little town, and charming little shops are within walking distance. Great food, awesome music and very welcoming people. Don't miss Buck and Johnny's Zydeco Breakfast Saturday morning at 8am, for the best experience! Would go again in a heartbeat.

We are in the heart of Cajun and Zydeco music, food and culture. The cottage is a separate space like a standard hotel room w a beautiful relaxing setting on the Bayou. We have hammocks by the pergola, a hammock by the water, kayaks, saltwater pool & outdoor shower to enjoy. There are 2 cats on the property but none are allowed in cottage. Refrigerator and convection oven. There is no full kitchen. NO SMOKING in the cottage. Hulu & Netflix provided no basic TV. We are a non smoking property.
We are a Non Smoking Property. Our property is 1 acre landscaped with fruit trees, flowers, cypress trees as well as 4 100 yr live oaks with beautiful Spanish moss draped branches overlooking the Bayou Teche. We are in the heart of Cajun Country, where Cajun and Zydeco music are world famous. There is so much to do here we recommend a minimum of 2 nights and preferably 3 to get a taste of the culture. Our cottage offers privacy as it is a separate building to our home that stands at the end of a beautiful architectural carport. It is the size of and offers similar amenities of a standard size 375 sq foot hotel room. Although it does not overlook the bayou directly it does have its own private side yard and all guests are invited to use and enjoy all of the property. Kayaks with direct access to the water (at no additional cost), beautiful landscaping and hammocks by the pool and bayou are a few of the things that make this a magical space. Also, for your pleasure, is our beautiful 60 foot salt water lap swimming pool with pergola and outdoor shower that is like an instant trip to the beach. Because we live in the semi tropics, swimming can be good from April thru October. The cottage is appointed with a queen bed, good sized work desk/dinning table, love seat, kitchenette w refrigerator, convection oven and coffee and tea makers. There is also a CD player/radio, WI-FI and TV w Netflix and Hulu movies no basic tv channels. There is not a full kitchen. NO SMOKING in the cottage. Continental breakfast fixings provided. Breaux Bridge is a quiet town of about about 7,500 on the outskirts of and just 7 miles away from the city of Lafayette Louisiana. We are just a quiet 1/2 mile walk/drive away from downtown Breaux Bridge. People come from all over the world to dance to live music on Saturday mornings at 8:30 AM at the famous Zydeco breakfast. Joie de Vivre Coffee and Culture Cafe offers a cajun jam every Saturday after the zydeco breakfast. Other activities include Flea Markets, Avery Island, Longfellow's Evangeline Oak, Lake Martin Swamp Tours and/or a Plantation Tour. Washer and Dryer available upon request. Owners are LA state licensed massage therapists. Trent is available Swedish and deep tissue for an added fee. Call for more information and/or schedule an appointment. Enjoy!
We love being by the water and having neighbors that don't fence off their properties which only gives one a sense of greater expansion as if we have more acreage. The neighborhood is quiet with large lots up to an acre and the area was once a plantation called Paradise Oaks so as one looks around the neighborhood one can see these oaks scattered throughout the neighboring yards. The neighbors are friendly but keep to themselves unless one needed assistance....a quiet place to live and visit.
  • Beautiful oasis on the Bayou Teche. We kayaked under the old Breaux Birdge, we ate boiled shrimp and crawfish etouffee and danced at Pont Breaux’s cajun restaurant (within walking distance), toured the Avery Gardens. Our hosts were helpful, available and a wonderful part of our stay.

  • Linni's place was awesome :) Such a thoughtfully designed space. I felt so at ease there and grateful for all the care that had gone into everything. Clean, very comfortable, and delicious croissants for breakfast! Big big thumbs up.

    Otis2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely beautiful property along the bayou Teche. Trent and Linni are gracious hosts that took time to introduce us to their home and gave fabulous advice for activities and restaurants in the area. We are sad our stay was short! Perfect spot to stay for a few days and explore the area.

    Heidi2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • Linni and Trent are great people. They know the area very well. The cottage is precious and very clean. We had to cut our stay short and a couple of days later Linni called to check on us. They are really Superhosts!!!

    Debra2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Linni and Trent’s are very gracious and friendly hosts and their bungalow is electric, spotless and cozy. We really appreciated all the little touches they provided like fresh fruit and delicious, buttery breakfast croissants, as well as, many helpful sightseeing tips. The pictures of the property are true and accurate and would highly recommend staying at Linni’s place.

Situated on Bayou Teche in the heart of Breaux Bridge, this property is a newly restored Cajun home, built in 1910, keeping the original style and decor intact to allow you to have the feeling of stepping back in time. With the deck on the bayou, and an additional outdoor sitting area, along with the comfort of this unique cottage, relaxation is assured.
There is a Steinway piano located in the living area of the house. You will find an antique record player along with a vinyl collection for your listening pleasure. The cottage is located close enough to the quaint center of downtown to enjoy the many restaurants, dance halls, and antique shops. Walk along the Bayou off Bridge Street, behind St Bernard School where you will discover ancient oaks and an old bridge that has been made into a huge deck. Kayak inputs exist there as well as a kayak rental business.
Located on Bayou Teche yet very close to downtown Breaux Bridge.
  • Very comfortable and nicely located cottage on the Bayou Teche. Near many restaurants and other Cajun treats. The deck on the bayou was great.

    Rick2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • Very pleasant and peaceful little cottage, and great communication with John and Lindette, who provided us a list of places to check during our stay. And the beautiful piano made me want to practice again haha :)

ALLERGEN & CHEMICAL FREE, No Carpet. My place is close to art and culture, dance halls, restaurants, downtown, shopping, swamp tours, historical places, antiques. You’ll love my place because of the outdoors space, the comfy beds, the light.. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and small groups. I have 2 airbnb rentals. The other is Steve and Katie Riley Guest House), and it has 40+ 5 star reviews. It is located next door and with same 5 star hosting! TAX 9.5%
10 stage shower filter :) Yeah! No chlorine or chemicals! Soft skin. NEW The airbnb map gives the wrong address. It will not let me correct it:( My CORRECT street address is CRESCENT STREET, not Crescent Avenue. Unfortunately, both are in Breaux Bridge. Please be prepared with your GPS map system.
The studio is in an older, more mature neighborhood. There is a mixture of cajun, country and creole culture. The neighbors are warm and inviting, ranging in all ages.
  • Wonderful , clean and peaceful place to stay ; 10-15 min walk to the interesting sites ; reactivity of the hostess even if we did not have the chance to see her. But Wifi not really good.

    Stefanie2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • The room was perfect for our quick, unplanned weekend getaway. We booked it about 20 minutes before we arrived and it was ready for us to walk in the door. Very clean and comfortable. This was our first stay at an air b&b so we weren't exactly sure what to expect but now we will be looking into them more often.

    Jessica2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • I really liked this mini home. It made me think about how much I might enjoy joining the tiny home movement.

  • Very cute, immaculate space in a charming town. Katie is a great hostess and communicator. Would love to come back and explore Breaux Bridge some more and will definitely stay here again. Try La Poussiere (only 2 blocks away) for great Cajun music and dancing!

    Judy2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • Both of Katie's properties are clean, well decorated and offer many amenities. There are always brochures of things to do which are not hard to find given the location. Always a good value any season of the year.

  • This place was way better than we expected!! My sister Bre & I truly enjoyed our stay. We didn’t need to hit Tanya up for ANYTHING, everything was right there for us. This home is SPOTLESS!!! Literally! The decor is super cute, everything is just beautiful! Tanya left us with clear instructions on how to get into the home & what to do before we checked out. Tanya also responds VERY quickly, she’s an awesome host! The home is much bigger inside than it appears on the pics! Tanya was a LIFESAVER for allowing us to stay last minute! We appreciate her so much & we WILL be back!!! ❤️

  • Perfect small town Louisiana experience. We were looking for good hiking, and with proximity to Lake Martin, a Nature Conservancy trail, and an hour drive from Chicot State Park, that's what we got. It was also convenient to some great Cajun spots, including Feed and Seed and Lafayette. Tanya was an easy host to work with and the place was cute and surprisingly spacious. I would recommend for a quiet night that is still close to great activities.

This is the first and original neighborhood of the area known as Sterling Grove. The home itself is listed on the national historic registry and is also called "the duchess". The neighborhood is on the cusp of the current downtown and is in a triangle shaped cross sectioning, where down town meets the historical district. The home itself is located on a peninsula with three frontages. Directly across the street is the white picked fenced in area of the Magnolia historical senior activity center. The Duchess... The Sebastian Home is a Historical Victorian Mansion built in 1910 during a time of growth and prosperity in Cajun country after the train arrived in 1880. "The Duchess" Anna Sebastian was a house servant/ and personal assistant to the Mouton Family from (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN). The Sebastian Family Migrated here in 1827 from spain in an attempt to escape political persecution and make an new life in a new land. During that time the land known as the West Feliciania Parishes were still under spanish control and the Sebastian family was planted here in an attempt to secure population and control of the area that was becoming overrun with the "Acadians". Due to her unique geneology and striking features, Anna was reveared as a beauty beyond all belief. At the age of 13, she was hired by the Mouton Family as a "house girl" or host. During her years of service to the Mouton Family, it was never said or mentioned where Anna had come from or weather or not she was a member of the Mouton Family. This is where her title came from being known as "The Duchess". Due to the Extreem importance and power of the Mouton Family, as with the current plantation, there was an overbearing imporntance placed on the need to secure power and political control during the growing and imperial colonizing time of the 1800's. This was done through marriage and alliances with other powerful lords of the land. This is were the extreemly important task of seducing men came into the duty list of "The Duchess" She was a musical talent as well as beautiful and would captivate the gentelmen visitors with here charm and voice, all while never letting on that she was not a daughter to Charles Homier Mouton. The Suitors would none the less always call and Charles used this influence to Politically Manuver his way the the office of Leutanant Gouvenor through marriage of his actual daughers to extreemly wealthy and powerful Plantation Owners of the Mississippi/ New Orleans Valley and the Point Coupee/ Cote Jelee Ridge. It was furher quested that due to the undaughted success of the 13 Marriages, the efforts of the Duchess, produced 3 Gouveners, 6 Senators and over half a million acres of real estate. Quietly and without knowing, she was the driving force behind the most powerful family bloodline in Louisiana History.

  • This place was more than I expected from an airbnb. The fact that we got breakfast at our doorsteps was a nice touch and it were TASTY!! Jean and his family were so kind and welcoming. The convenience of location to the parades/downtown was an added touch. And the price didn't break the bank.

  • My boyfriend and I stayed here for the summer for 2.5 months and really enjoyed it. The house is comfortable and a lovely size. The kitchen is helpfully stocked with pots and pans so you can do whatever cooking you need. The yard has lots of beautiful plants that provide shade and there is both a front and back porch you can sit on to have your coffee/drink a beer. Breaux Bridge itself is a lovely town - we especially loved the old downtown area by the Bayou Teche, which is a quick few minute drive from the house. We hope to be back!

    Jane2019-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • All was as promised. Very helpful listing of local options...and I mean only 10 minutes walk away. Live music, dancing, good food...WOW! A Bonus : the charming back porch where we spent hours listening to bird song, reading and eating. Thanks, Katie.

  • Though traveling alone, I felt immediately comfortable and safe. Cozy and charming rooms had me imagining daily life of the “Duchess”. Cocktail hour is set aside each day to cover questions and provide an array of cultural, dining and entertainment suggestions. Breakfasts are a gastronomic delight. This host genuinely cares about his guests.

  • We stayed 2 nights and were very content. Check-in was a breeze, we were met and helped up to the loft. The loft itself was exactly as pictured and very cute and cozy. Felt very warm and safe. I was unable to participate in the cocktails etc offered because I got food poisoning so stayed cozy inside haha. Would definitely stay again, and it’s a great deal as well. Thank you!

    Alyssa2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • This spot is simply great. If you visit to Louisiana, you would be foolish to miss out on good cultural experiences and such a unique part of America. The room had a lot of fun historical pieces to it, and Ben did a great job helping you enter into the history of the place. I recommend going downstairs to meet and talk with him. He has a lot of great insight on the history of Louisiana, places to visit, and how to get the “local” perspective. Plus, the rate was fantastic and only a few minute drive to downtown. Sure, it’s not a five-star hotel but way more of an experience.

    Lance2020-01-13T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed in the Dollhouse Tower apartment and had a wonderful time. The apartment is quite quirky but I really liked the layout and the furnishings. It met all of my needs. The location is good - a few minute drive to the center of Layayette. Lafayette really surprised me - I was there on the night of the monthly Art Walk and I was quite impressed with the large number of art related stores, the fine restaurants (the Tapas place rivaled tapas restaurants I've been to in Spain) and the available music. Jean was a gracious host and do try to be there for his happy hour - I had a very tasty drink and an enjoyable lesson in cajun and zydeco music. I was awoken one of the two nights I was there by a fairly loud and extended train whistle -- other than that, all went well. I wouldn't hesitate to come back.

The space available is a loft above the kayak shop in the heart of Cajun country. The shop sits on the banks of the Bayou Teche in historic downtown Breaux Bridge, the Crawfish Capitol of the World. (No, seriously, it is.) The bedroom that overlooks the slow-moving bayou (that used to be the Mississippi River some 5,000 years ago), is furnished with a queen-size bed, plenty of closet space, and a private bath with walk-in shower. Also available to visitors are a shared washer and dryer, and an equipped kitchen. Everything is in walking distance: Café des Amis (known for its Saturday morning Zydeco Breakfast), La Poussiere (an historic Cajun dancehall), a coffee shop that hosts Cajun music jams, antique shops, and grocery stores (where boudin can be found). Cory is the operator of the kayak shop. He lives downstairs when he’s not paddling the Teche or the nearby swamp, Lake Martin. Local highlights include the annual Breaux Bridge Crawfish Festival (first full weekend in May), Festival International de Louisiane (last weekend in April), Festival Acadiens et Créoles (second weekend of October), country Mardi Gras (Courir de Mardi Gras), and Avery Island, home of Tabasco and Jungle Gardens. The nearest airport is Lafayette (LFT) with a 20-minute drive. If you choose to visit us from New Orleans, it’s a 2 ½ hour drive. If coming from Baton Rouge (BTR), it’s an hour drive. Bienvenue a Pont Breaux!
  • When vacationing in Louisiana, this landmark is a must! Ingo offers incredible hospitality, a generous passion and is very welcoming. A nod to Luna, with whom I would have deeply shared my return! Without hesitation

  • This is a great bus for exploring the hear of Cajun country. The simple accommodations are within walking distance of everything in Breuax Bridge. Most importantly, the hosts are driven to ensure that you have a great time in their neck of the woods. Whether it is paddling advice, food tips, fishing locations, music recommendations, or cultural drives - these guys will greatly enhance your experience!

    Joseph2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • Best host ever! Talking to Cory about local history, culture and attractions (culinary, musical and paddling) - was priceless. This alone made our trip unforgettable and worth the drive from Atlanta. Add the unique location: right on the bayou, next to a city park with kayak launch just 30 yards away, and yet smack in downtown (2 minutes walk to restaurants and shops). The house is also near a noisy iron bridge - however, that noise surprisingly did not impact my sleep at all (even though I am a VERY light sleeper), likely because such kind of sound "acts" as white noise: same as if you sleep in a moving train or listening to outside rain, it kind of helps you to fall asleep faster and sleep better. We had excellent paddling in the area, and will sure be back to experience other seasons.

    Gennadiy2019-12-25T00:00:00Z
  • It was my second time in Cory's place. I liked coming back, Cory is friendly and helping. The place in Breaux Bridge is perfect for walking in the village. I recommanded the Canoe ballad to the Martin Lake with him.

    Debora2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • Cory is a truly exceptional host. A scholar of Cajun culture and Louisiana swamps and bayous, he taught us a lot about our morning canoe trip on Lake Martin (including the fact that alligators are not dangerous!). He also recommended a great restaurant at Breaux Bridge and a really quirky dance party while giving us some great directions to make our way to the beautiful New Orleans. The accommodation is very comfortable even if we imagine it more in full nature. Cars are heard on the bridge next door but you get used to it. Short recommended for the unique meeting with Cory!

Paradise Oaks Airbnb is a meticulously restored 1955 Mid Century gem shaded by ancient moss-draped Live Oak and Crepe Myrtle trees, and is situated just a stones throw from the Historic Bayou Teche in Breaux Bridge Louisiana, Crawfish Capital of the World. Amazingly, this thoughtfully designed and meticulously crafted home has never had a "makeover" and all of the spacious rooms, wonderful period tile work, mahogany paneling and period design details remain fully intact.
On 1800sqf, a group of six can comfortably spread out without crowding each other. Ecclectic mid-century Scandinavian and American furniture and art makes it just that more special. While you might enjoy cooking on the original 1956 Thermador stove, we also provide microwave, toaster, electric kettle, a modern dishwasher and central air and heat. The bathrooms are equipped with environmentally friendly shampoo- and soap dispensers. A Smart TV - no cable - will let you hook up to your favorite Netflix, Hulu, Pandora and other programs, and of course there's a music system with bluetooth, cd-player and radio. You'll find a little library and games for your entertainment, and yes, a sewing machine. Fast WIFI reaches all the way into the backyard, if you don't want to work on one of the two desks provided. A laundry room with washer and dryer completes the amenities.
Paradise Oaks Airbnb is located in a quiet and safe older residential neighborhood along Bayou Teche with stately homes, ancient oak trees and mature gardens.

  • An absolute treat. If you're into mid century design this is the place for you. Susanne and Doug's place was immaculate, with very thoughtful touches and treats. Susanne gave a thorough tour and provided recommendations for tours and visits around the area. I fell in love with the area and cannot wait to return.

    Lisa2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Doug and Susanne’s place is a mid-century gem. Stylish and well-appointed it took me back to my childhood with 50s and 60s furniture and appliances mixed with modern comforts. Susanne met us at the house and showed us around which was helpful. She also gave us advice about where to go and what to do in Cajun country. She had even stocked the kitchen with great stuff for breakfast and snack-time including some fabulous local beer. Highly recommended if you are ever in the area!!!

Our cozy cabin sits in the heart of Cajun country, about 30 minutes outside of Lafayette. It's a great place to spend time relaxing in the quiet serenity of South Louisiana, or enjoy spending a night or more traveling through, it is located just 8 miles north of Interstate 10. The Cabin is all wood inside and has the great cabin smell the minute you open the door. It was built in 2014 by Amish builders in Pennsylvania and transported down by a truck.
This is a single bedroom log cabin that was built by Amish builders. Materials in the cabin are all wood floors, walls and ceiling. It has that great smell of a cabin in the country. There is internet, an electronic lock on the door, a security system, a table in the den and an iron & ironing board. It has a fully equipped kitchen for preparing a meal. There is a dock over the pond to relax and enjoy the outdoor view.
The cabin sits next to a pond on 5 acres of property. There are trees along the property lines and a dock over the pond to sit and relax. There is a porch on both sides of the cabin.
  • This little cabin is perfect. It has everything you need and more. And, it's spotless. The host Larry is in touch with you in case you have any issues. We didn't. We will definitely stay here again.

  • This was my husband and my first time using airbnb. We took an impromptu roadtrip and booked the cabin with short notice as we didn't know exactly where we would be by the time we were done driving for the day. I'm so glad that we didn't book a hotel. Larry was very prompt with responses to questions, his cabin was emasculate, and we had some much needed downtime to unwind. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone needing a get away.

This is the perfect bayou getaway in the heart of Cajun Country. It overlooks Bayou Amie, which is adjacent to the Atchafalaya Basin. It’s also within minutes of genuine and authentic Cajun cuisine (Landry’s and Pat’s) and local fishing and boating spots (Atchafalaya Basin). With a deck overlooking the water, a comfy bed, and plenty of outdoor space, it covers all points of interest! A great hideaway spot for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families!
Within minutes of the Atchafalaya Basin, Butte La Rose camp grounds, Pat’s Fisherman’s Wharf Restaurant, Crawfish Town USA, Breaux Bridge (Crawfish capital of the world), and a locally owned grocery store.
  • What a great place on Bayou Amy (Pronounced ah - me). I was able to land a few fish (sac-a-lait) which made a great local dinner for my wife and I. I don't understand a previous reviewer's comment that it isn't an appropriate place for people in their 60's. I am in my late 60's and found that the place exceeded my expectations. Kitchen was well equipped, the artwork throughout the house added to our enjoyment, the space was comfortable and pleasant.

Our favorite time, other than spending time with one another, was fishing off the deck, talk about relaxing. Everything from the camp to the restaurants and the local people was awesome. • Brandon’s place is super clean, simple, and stylish. Brandon went way beyond what a host needs to provide for his guest. I stayed in the tiny house with my two young children for a mini staycation for Mardi Gras. We had a blast here! I would recommend Brandon’s place to anyone.

  • The cajun hostel is the perfect little spot for a weekends stay in Lafayette! Close to the action but far enough away to get a good night sleep when the fun is over! The space had everything we needed for the nights stay. The bed was super comfortable and kitchen came equipped with everything you need to cook a quick meal or breakfast in the morning! The space didn’t have a tv but we didn’t miss it much. Check in was fast and simple! We will definitely book this property again next time we are in Lafayette!

  • Wow -- this place was much better than we expected. The space is beautiful, spacious and sparkling clean. Breakfast was such a treat, outdoors on the patio overlooking the bayou. Loved the place. And Robbie and Bryan were readily available whenever we emailed. Great great place.

    Susan And Tom2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! This is one of the best values I’ve gotten in an airbnb. Robbie’s jacuzzi tub and steam shower make you feel like you’re at a spa. Fresh coffee and a delicious, freshly prepared breakfast brought to the room in the morning was the cherry on top. Would highly recommend!

    Caleb2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Robbie and Bryan are great hosts. They made us feel very welcome and gave us a tour of the place even though we got in kind of late in the afternoon. I had forgotten that the stay comes with breakfast, so when Robbie asked if we had any allergies or preferences I was pleasantly surprised. Breakfast was delicious! freshly baked pastry, quiche, fruit and yogurt , coffee and freshly squeezed juice from the Satsuma tree in their yard. The pics of the place don't do it justice. The master bedroom is huge, with a king bed, sitting area and very large bathroom that includes a steam shower ( ! ) and a whirlpool tub! The second bedroom was also very spacious with a queen bed and its own jet tub and shower. The side cottage was sparkling clean and very nicely decorated; you can tell they take pride! A highlight was being able to hop in their kayaks and canoe and go for a paddle on the Bayou Teche paddle trail that runs right by their backyard! It ws a great way to see some of the beautiful antebellum homes in the area and a nice perk of staying there. If I am ever back in area I will definitely be staying again!

  • Robbie was an exceptional host! He made our stay extra special the night of our wedding! Breakfast the next morning was amazing and it was so lovely to have my coffee on a little bench by the water. Highly recommend!

  • Such lovely hosts, big bedrooms and a breakfast with a great view. Happy to provide recommendations and check that everything is ok.

    Toni2019-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • Robbie and Bryan have a beautiful home with equally as beautiful landscaping and view. Right as you pull up to the house, you can see the love, work, and effort put into everything. Robbie has a beautiful garden filled with walkways and sitting areas that are perfect for relaxing and enjoying the views of Bayou Teche. Every morning we got to eat the most wonderful breakfasts out on her porch. The first morning we had quiche, a fresh fruit parfait, coffee, and fresh orange juice. The morning we left we had an apple tart that was freshly baked, a fresh fruit parfait, coffee, and fresh orange juice. On top of that, they were wonderful company. They were so friendly, warm, and inviting, all while respecting our privacy. Robbie and Bryan offered to take us an hour up Bayou Teche with their canoe. We took them up on their offer and enjoyed a relaxing and romantic canoe adventure. As for the home we stayed in, it was quaint, beautifully decorated, had a large jacuzzi bathtub, a steamer in the shower, comfy bed, and a mini kitchen to store the leftovers from breakfast! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and left feeling like royalty. We will definitely stay here again and highly recommend you to stay here, too.

The warmest owners make sure that nothing is lacking and answer all of our questions very quickly. We took advantage of the campfire, the hammock, the large lot and the small lake. I will go back anytime with my little family. It is without a doubt a dream place!

  • My husband and I stayed here for a weekend getaway to celebrate his birthday and our anniversary. We were looking for privacy and peace and quiet. We definitely found it here! The property is beautiful. The cabin is small but has everything we needed. The beds are extremely comfortable. I was concerned about how comfortable we would be in a full sized bed since we are used to our king at home, but it was just fine. Great pillows, too. Kristen was very helpful from the very beginning, helping me make the reservation and offering her recommendation on things to do. We are already planning to come back in the spring with our 5 daughters.

    Lauren2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • Spent the weekend here as a quick getaway. Wonderful hosts and accommodations! Beautiful oasis with a fishing pond (plus poles and bait), grill (plus charcoal) and campfire pit (plus they have wood for you). They also provided great recommendations to surrounding restaurants and activities if we wanted to venture off the property! We loved our time there. Cabin was very clean and had everything we needed (and more!). We are hoping to be back in the future.

  • We enjoyed our brief stay at the "Gilligan." The space is small but has everything you need for a good night's sleep. The check-in procedure couldn't be easier. Conveniently located near downtown.

  • We fully enjoyed our stay in the “land yacht”. Jean Benjamin and his family are so very accommodating and amazing hosts. You’re immediately greeted with genuine southern hospitality. Regretfully we weren’t able to stay to enjoy the Cajun breakfast, but it sounded truly amazing (and other guests confirmed how yummy it is). Would love to stay here again if our travels ever bring us this way.

  • This is hands down one of the most eclectic and unique Airbnbs I've stayed. From the chickens roaming the backyard, to the happy hour with live cajun music, to the amazing breakfast delivered right to my door. I ended up with an upgrade on the room, moved to the Paris Garden Room, which was so comfortable and private. Very awesome. I will definitely stay again if I'm through the area.

  • Because of a last-minute change of travel plans, we were incredibly lucky to find this wonderful house where we could bring our dog. We loved it so much, we booked an extra night. The house is welcoming with a charming, quirky decor befitting its Cajun location. Evenings spent sitting on the deck right on Bayou Teche were unforgettable. Sid and his father and sister were very responsive to our needs. The location is convenient. There's a limit to how much cooking you can do in the kitchen, but hey--you're in Cajun country! Who needs to cook?! We'll be back!

    Evelyn2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Great stay on the Teche! Neat spot in the bayou and a great home. Sid was quickly responsive when I had a couple of questions. Really neat town with great food.

  • Wife and I decided to travel to the Lafayette area to celebrate our anniversary. Sid went out of his way to accommodate us with where to eat dinner & brunch the next day. He hit a home-run on both recommendations. We enjoyed the swing on the front porch at sunset and the backyard bayou with our labrador. We would highly recommend this place. We plan to come back with our kids!

  • This was a nice tiny home to stay in. Although we were not there most of the time during our stay due to our schedule being so busy with visiting family, the house itself fit our needs with a place to lay our heads At night. I loved the decor of the house, especially the counter top that the owner had made.

    Loanna2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • Very clean, very comfortable, extremely close to all of the fun things we planned to experience. Would recommend to everyone!

    Tina2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Let me start off by saying, it’s worth it. 1000%. I was visiting a friend in the area and this place was ideal. It’s in a safe area and literally most restaurants and stores are like 10 minutes away. It’s small but spacious with amazing plants. It feels sort of like a little sanctuary. I️f you’re looking for some place safe, secure but welcoming then Dan and Tay are the hosts for you.

    Tory2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • This home is everything. It is small, but very beautiful. It is beautifully decorated and clean. It offers all of the furnishings of a traditional sized home, but in a smaller package. Daniel was super helpful and prompt responding to my questions. The check in process was easy because he gave very clear instructions. There is a small, one car size driveway for guests and a brick walkway to enter the home around the side. The bed is extremely comfortable and the home was perfectly cooled with the two A/C units in the home. It feels like home. I highly recommend this space to anyone visiting Lafayette as it is literally 5 minutes away from UL and almost 10 minutes away from downtown. It's extremely affordable, comfortable and unique. You absolutely will not be disappointed.

  • Perfect place for a couples trip! Location was perfect, the backyard was beautiful, overall I loved every minute of it!

    Keonna2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • It’s a really cute clean space with plenty of light and restored elements. It was quiet and private which is exactly what I needed. I loved the simple plants and open space. Close to ULL, Lafayette Gen hospital and Izzos illegal burrito super close. Communication with host was easy peasy.

My newly refurbished vacation home provides a comfortable and well positioned base to enjoy the myriad delights of the Cajun heartland. 10 minutes from Lafayette, close to airport, easy access to I 10 Freeway with plenty of yard space for relaxation.
This is my personal vacation home where I go to indulge my passion for Cajun & zydeco dancing as well to embrace the culture and people of the Cajun Heartland. I live in New Jersey but Im in Louisiana every opportunity I get.
The town of Breaux Bridge is a unique picture of small town Louisiana with a few attractions such as the Café des Amis, a number of antique stores and easy access to all of the surrounding areas.
  • The house is very clean and also quiet at the end of a dead end street.

    Trudy2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Gerry's place is perfect for a visit to Breaux Bridge. It is clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. All necessary amenities are available. We always choose this place to stay during our visit.

    Bess2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay was just as we wanted. A relaxed getaway for our family. The home is as described in the Ad. It was stocked with everything from paper towels, razors, soap, etc. My top 3 favorites. #1-Mr Gerry respond time and how he made every effort to make sure that we were comfortable. #2-The quality of the pots and pans. We love to cook and having good quality cookware helped. #3-All the amenities, including ear plugs. I am a very light sleeper and YES, having earplugs was Super!. Location to everything was good for my girls. We will be returning.

    Donnia2019-11-30T00:00:00Z

  • We really enjoyed our stay. The house exceeded our expectations. It was sparkling clean and had everything anyone would need for a great stay. We were met by a friend of the owner who showed us the house and the alarm system. He assured us he was available if needed. The rooms were well appointed, and the beds were extremely comfortable. Great air conditioners. The kitchen is fully equipped with coffee makers, all appliances and a large refrigerator stocked with a few necessities. The house also has a large laundry room with a full size washer and dryer. The house is located at the end of a very quiet dead end street. We will definitely stay here again.

    Bess2019-07-05T00:00:00Z
  • We have repeated our stay here and look forward to the next time! It’s just as expected. Very clean. Love the trains. Perfect size. Breaux Bridge is a quaint, little town that my husband grew up in. We visit family at least twice a year, so we will be staying again.
