This a great B&B and I would recommend it to anyone, Una is a great host and couldn't have been more helpful. Room and whole house was lovely and in a good a quite location, great breakfast also. We used this as a first stop in a longer road trip around Scotland which was great, easy to get to, off the motorway from U.K. And also easy to get onto the road onward towards Loch Lomond. Don't be put off by the relative low charge, it isn't an indication of quality it is just really good value!

Brilliant BnB! Una is the perfect hostess. So accommodating. Her home is so welcoming - truly a home away from home. Really clean and beautifully furnished. I slept 14 hours in that comfortable bed. The bathroom is great - really big bath and spacious. You could swing three cats in it! Breakfast was tasty and plentiful. Close walk to Clarkston with shops and restaurants. Also close to Eastwood Park Theatre for any thespians. Highly recommended!

Like others have said before me, Amanda is a lovely host and the premises are spotless. The bed is very comfortable. Hugh the dog is a real character and so funny but don't take his toy bone!

Amanda was incredibly welcoming, funny and helpful. And Hugh, the Boston Terrier, made it all the better. The place is has lots of light and was very clean. Five minute walk to the bus -- a ten to fifteen minute ride into the City Centre. Highly recommend.

Staying with Amanda was somewhat entertaining as there were no bones about whatever was on her mind of which I found humorous most of the time.. Her little dog Hugo is an adorable little character and extremely quiet. The flat was warm, clean and within walking distance to local shops and indemnities whereby 30 mins will take you into the city of Glasgow. In addition, William Wallace Well, his last dwelling and Wallace Farm Shop are well worth a visit..!!

My stay with Licia and George was wonderful. They have lovely soft carpet and my room smelled really nice, which was such a welcome change from the smoky place I'd been in the night before :) They are friendly and great for conversation, and even invited me to join them for brownies and ice cream for Licia's birthday. Getting the train into Glasgow Central is quite simple too, as the Neilston station is only around 5 minutes walk from their home. I was honored to be the first American ever to stay with them, and I hope many more come after me. Thanks again--if I come back to Glasgow I'd love to stay here again for sure!

Licia and George were fantastic hosts. They were very welcoming upon our arrival, and their little pup Dexter was full of love and kisses. The house is absolutely lovely! We were comfortable the whole time and the hosts made us feel right at home! They gave us access to the kitchen and even set out some breakfast foods for us in the morning. The whole family was very friendly and didn't seem to mind having guests in the house. The neighborhood was quiet and felt safe. There was a great little store down the street and a couple tasty restaurants. Lucia gave us a key, so we were free to come and go as we pleased. Overall it was pleasure to stay with Licia and George. They are great conversationists and they both have a good sense of humor. We would highly recommend them to other travelers looking for a more sub-tourist experience in Glasgow!

George and Licia are very friendly, helpful & do all they can to make you feel at home. Their home is comfortable, relaxing and quiet, just what I needed. Their children Ryan & Meghan are well mannered and good to have around and not forgetting Dexter who's a sweet little dog. Look forward to coming back again.

Licia and her family gave us a very warm welcome. We were introduced to the whole family including their dog Dexter. The room was very clean, so was the bathroom, towels and Shampoo was provided which I found very helpful. We parked the car at Barrhead station free of charge and took the train into Glasgow, a suggestion from our lovely hosts. It was completely stress free. Thank you for having us, we very much enjoyed our stay!

This is definitely a full house with two children and a couple extra guests, but in truth it did not negatively impact our experience. My friend and I only expected a clean bed and a welcoming stay in someone's home, which definitely was provided. The train to the city is about a 8 minute walk away and straight shot. The neighborhood is safe and walkable. The hosts were absolutely fantastic providing suggestions how to get around, what to see, where to eat. This is an excellent place to stay if you don't mind a full family home, which is exactly what they described themselves as. I would definitely stay again.

Mehri was a terrific host - very communicative and friendly. She was very generous with tea, coffee, and snacks, and full of advice for how to get around the city. The location is very convenient, with a 5 minute walk to the bus stop and an easy 20-30 minute bus ride right to the city center. The room was spacious and cosy, bathroom very clean and easy to use. Would definitely stay with Mehri again!

Nice groundfloor flat, close to buzzing area of Shawlands. All amenities provided. Was welcomed by a friend of a friend of the hosts, but no issues arose. Room was lovely. Overall, enjoyed my stay, and very very good value for money!

I highly recommend Mehri and her place to anyone, lovely house and great area. Bus into town is only a few hundred metres away. From the second I walked into mehris home she made me feel welcome, I've never felt so comfortable at an air b n b before. so if your wanting a home away from home, you've found it.

Mehri was a great host. I was a bit afraid that there maybe a problem with getting from airport to the Mehri's house, but there is a public transport bus from the city center to her place. :)

My stay was perfect! Mehri did everything for me to have very relaxing stay. She was very keen to talk, take a cup of tea with me, she offered me some sweets, snack and fruits, plus the day of my leave she wanted to prepare sandwich for me :D Because I was tired after travelling, she prepared hot bath for me. Monique was a welcoming and helpful host, who was good to talk to. The room was good, nice big bed. The location is very handy to transport, the train takes you to Glasgow Central in 10-15 minutes.

Although our stay was brief, Monique was a very friendly and accommodating host. Unfortunately our travel to Glasgow took longer than expected and we arrived late, but Monique was very understanding. We would recommend staying in this lovely room with great public transport to the city center and a lovely host!

A lovely hostess, a great room, cannot fault my stay at all

Sandra and Alasdair have a lovely home to offer the tired traveller. The bedroom is lovely, a tea/coffee tray on the side table. The bathroom adjacent to the bedroom is for guest use only, great to be able to leave your own gear in there during your stay. It has a wonderful shower. A great range is offered for breakfast in a light-filled room downstairs. The location is easily found and you can leave your car safely in the driveway. They offered us tourist information and congenial company. A truly lovely stay.

Sandra and Alistair were very welcoming and we enjoyed our short stay with them very much. The house was lovely and we had a very restful night's sleep followed by a very generous breakfast. Will have no hesitation in returning for a repeat experience.

I stayed with my girlfriend at the home of Sandra and Alastair for several days to visit Scotland. The house is very neat and tidy, and meets all the ad says. Upon arrival, Sandra brought us a folder that was specially prepared with useful information on what to do and where in Glasgow. We found it very useful and very helpful on your part. The location is convenient, as it is half an hour by train from the city of Glasgow. Sandra and Alastair made us feel very comfortable during their stay, are two very friendly and sociable, willing to help in any way they can. With my girlfriend we were a bit undecided about which places to visit, so here they were recommended interesting places and told us how to get to them. I would definitely stay with them if I visit the area again.

Lovely place with a lovely host! Francesca is a very pleasant host. Comfortable accommodation with a spacious room and any appliances I needed available.

Francesca was a friendly welcoming host. She has a fairly busy working and social life which meant I often had the space to myself and her lovely cat, however if I ever had a question about the area or the flat she was available to ask if not in person then by text. The area was a regular housing estate with a big Asda and Tesco near by. It's also not far from the Silverburn shopping centre which has loads of shops and places to eat, and of course was in a reasonable distance to Glasgow City Centre. I used this accommodation as a base for work for 10 days and had a perfectly pleasant stay.

A wonderfully warm welcome received from Francesca. Bright spacious room in her apartment. Everywhere so clean and tidy. I'll happily stay here again next visit to Glasgow/Barrhead. Thanks so much Francesca!

Quiet location, 25min walk (some uphill for those with luggage) from Barrhead train station or if you take bus 51 from train its just couple minute walk up some stairs. Comfy single bed, friendly and helpful host, would stay again :)

I can only recommend Suzi and Robert as hosts. There are greate, very open communicative and we felt like on the visit by our friend. The staying at their house was amazing experience. The room and bed was greate, we slep like babies :-).

Suzy is really nice and helpful person, she did tell us everything we needed and gave us some tips about Glagow. The place is very cosy and you just feel like you are at home. I would really recommend staying at their place!

Suzanne's place is a well warm, comfortable and beautiful home with awesome hosts. It is set in quiet neighbourhood about 20mins from Glasgow city centre. There's also a good transport service to central Glasgow city centre with buses running every few mins. It was a great pleasure meeting this friendly and welcoming couple. They made me feel at home and did their best to make sure I had a good stay. Also, they offered me their delicious home baked short bread and banana cake :-) You certainly get more value than you pay for, I highly recommend their place if you are looking for a place to stay whilst enjoying your Glasgow experience. It's a shame I had a short stay, I'll sure be visiting again :-) Best hosts ever!!

This Airbnb was perfect for for my brief stint in Glasgow, though I'd have been happy to stay for more than just the one night. Suzi and Robert were really friendly and welcoming hosts, and the bed was super comfy! Although not right in the city, public transport is quick and easy and the location was perfect for getting away from the hustle and bustle with a lovely park nearby to explore.

I stayed 1 night in this great little flat as a stopover. The shower was brilliant, bed was comfy, and pillows were soft. A quiet area too. It took about 20-25mins to get to Glasgow central station. Our first time with airbnb. We had a wonderful time, we went to Loch Lomond, Largs and Gourock. We popped over to the west end festival too. The appartment was lovely, it actually was a home from home, the place was clean, nicely decorated and a great base to sup a couple of beers at the end of the day in the garden watching the sunset...beautiful. Irene was an amazing host, she was very lovely to talk too and showed a lot of compassion. She left us juice, milk and biscuits to great us upon arrival. Also, she allowed us to stay an hour extra, which was really sweet. The place is super clean and tidy, very hommy and has everything one can need. Irene is very helpful; the flat is equipped to feel comfortably at home. It's a quiet neighbourhood; the motorway is a short distance away. If you want to go to Glasgow by car use the Park&Ride facility at Shields Road (G58PL) and take the subway.

Irene's place is really nice as is Irene :) Its in a quiet neighbourhood that's a little ways out of Glasgow but there are buses and Uber's to take you into town if you don't have a car. There is a grocery store within walking distance. We were happy to stay here and would again if we come back to Glasgow.

Irene has a wonderful flat full of details to make the stay the most comfortable possible. Perfect road connections to make visits around to Glasgow, Edinburgh, Stirling, Falkirk and all these beautiful Scottish places. We've really enjoyed very much the stay at Irene's home and we haven't missed anything. We absolutely recommend this place.

Irene was incredibly communicative, answering all of my questions and making sure I had all the info I needed. She went out of her way to accommodate us, and made sure we had necessities on arrival (tea, coffee, milk, shortbread). She's a credit to the airbnb community. The flat itself was lovely - incredibly clean, and a good size. Wi-fi is great, and the kitchen was well stocked with everything you'd need, including a dishwasher. I found the bed comfortable, and the bedding to be just right in terms of thickness. It's a quiet neighbourhood so you don't need to worry about being disturbed. The shower was great - very powerful and warm, and like the rest of the flat the bathroom was spotless. It was well located to access Glasgow via the M77/M8. It's also great for getting to the highlands in about 40 mins in the car. Nearby are a very convenient shopping centre, a 24hr tesco, and the gorgeous Rouken Glen park. I'm told buses are pretty convenient, or you could walk through Rouken Glen to catch a train. We had a car, and always managed to park on the street outside the flat. I really enjoyed staying there - it felt like a home away from home. Thank you to Irene for having us. I would thoroughly recommend you and your flat to anyone.

Derek was a very welcoming host when we arrived, showing us around the flat and letting us know where everything was. The location was ideal, just a 20 minute train ride to the city centre from Busby Station which was just around the corner. We were very happy with our two nights here and would certainly recommend it.

The apartment was lovely - it was clean and spacious, and in a nice quiet location on the edge of the countryside but within walking distance of shops and restaurants. It was also very easy to get into Glasgow by train (~20 mins) or bus. Derek was very welcoming and was an excellent host. He was easy to get in touch with, and kept in good contact with us throughout our stay to make sure everything was ok. I would definitely recommend this apartment! It is one of the best holiday rentals I have stayed in.

Apartment is great, good size, comfy furnishings and well stocked. It is also nice and quiet, perfect for a good nights sleep. Public transport is very close by or if you have a car the apartment is in its own complex with plenty of parking. Ideal place for a weekend or a month!

In the end we stayed at Derek's apartment for 2 months. It was a very comfortable stay and Derek was always easy to contact and helpful with any of our requests.

The flat was warm and welcoming. Our 2 year old daughter loved running around. She was very happy therefore so were we! I would definitely stay again when we're next up in Glasgow. James and Alisa were fantastic hosts. The flat was really clean and had more facilities than expected. Great location in the south side which was perfect for us as we have family living there. Our stay in James and Ailsa's apartment was lovely and perfectly suited to our needs. It has a great location and is close to Glasgow central with a busstop right at the front door. The neigborhood is lovely and quiet with great walks and parks in the area. There is a variety of grocery shops in the area and its only 15mins by cab to the airport. Great shower, fast wifi, awesome entertainment with lots of movies to watch and an alexa voice operated amazon gizmo thingy (not sure what you call those, but its amazing!!) Also a great oven and very comfy bed. James and Ailsa were most helpful with providing us with information on busses and things to do in the area and were always available to answer any questions we had. They are the most generous hosts we have met and even offered tranportation to the airport and to take us grocerie shopping. These are people that really go the extra mile! The experience far surpassed our expectations. We will most definitely stay with them again.

James's place was lovely. It's a well equipped one bedroom flat, located in a peaceful and green part of town and close to the train station. There was even an Amazon Echo to play music or check weather conveniently. James and Alisa were very kind and helpful. We and our dog Brexie had a lovely time there.

James was a great and really accommodating. Flats is in a perfect location in the southside, easy to get into city centre with a choice of two train stations within 5 min walk. Flat was as described and really clean. I would recommend staying here.

We had a great stay in this apartment. It had all we would possibly need, the location is excellent. James was very welcoming and gave us lots of useful information about the city. He was also always available in case of any questions and replied in a matter of seconds :). He even kept a parking space for us just in front of the flat!!! :)

What an amazing place to stay. Pauline was so helpful and accomodating and really looked after me (and other guests). The room had its own large en-suite and the bed was really comfortable. Jen was great! She had a lovely place and made us feel at home following a couple weeks of travel. Her dogs are the best and she even dropped us off at an event when it was raining. Would definitely stay here again.

Jen's house is close to Kilmarnock Road which has lots of great cafes, bars and restaurants. It's a very up and coming area. The room was clean and tidy with a comfortable bed. The house needs a little maintenance but Jen is new to the property and wants to do it up. The two dogs were so lovely and friendly. You do need to be a dog lover to stay here but they are so adorable I don't know why you wouldn't be. Jen was really accommodating and met me to give me the keys in her lunch break. I'd definitely come to stay again.

Me and my husband stayed at jen's flat for a couple of days, Jen is a great and beautiful person, her dogs are adorable!! they used to go every morning to our room to say hello to us, her flat is on the top floor of a building in a quite and residential area not too far from the centre, from our window, we spotted a family of foxes running and playing around the garden every evening, i would dare to say that this place is only suitable for dog lovers (like us). Jen shared with us her flat, her dogs and her vegan tasty cooking. The room is very simple, for us was perfect, we did not need more than that, her dogs: the sweetest experience. Thank you Jen.

I had a great stay at Jen's place! It is outside the city center of Glasgow but with plenty of public transportation options to quickly go into town. Jen(and her dogs) were very friendly and welcoming and I had a wonderful, relaxing time while I was there!

A beautiful cottage just outside of Newton mearns. Host was very accomodating and the cottage was cosy and comfortable. Perfect air bnb if you are looking for ease of access to Glasgow but you like the secluded country location. Best of all, this is a dog friendly accommodation.

Set amongst green rolling hills dotted with sheep, Dodside Farm is a respite from reality. It is located about 20-30 mins out of Glasgow. Our host Helmi was very friendly and helpful and our comfortable, cosy accommodation had everything we needed. It was truly perfect for our 3 night stay.

This place is a real treasure ! Close to the center / close to the airport (we were by car). Lovely house (very clean, well decorated and confortable). Private room with a confortable bed and bathroom (+ a private living room with a very confortable sofa and netflix ;-) ). A lot of delicate attention (bottles of water / chips/ ...). And finally a really good breakfast :-)

We loved our stay at Margaret's beautiful home. So clean, hospitable, lovely and cozy! Our last night on our Scotland vacation was so memorable and due in part to Margaret and Douglas and our stay here! Wonderful hosts!

Margaret and Douglas met me at the station. The photo of the room does not actually show completely what a gorgeous room this is. It is really quite large with an excellent ensuite and it looks out over their lovely walled garden. It is beautifully decorated, as is the whole house, and immaculately clean. Margaret is very talented with flower arranging and there are fresh flowers throughout the house. I had a posy of roses with a border of mint green herbs next to my bed. Just looking at the picture I realise now that these toned in expertly with the quilt cover. Bedding is exceptionally comfortable with high quality linen. You also have use of your own little lounge which has a TV (including Netflix) and Margaret keeps the room stocked with all kinds of nibbles and drinks. This is by far the best breakfast I have ever had in an airbnb. There is fresh fruit or fruit salad, real coffee (a whole pot of it or tea if your prefer.) Margaret thoughtfully cooked a different breakfast for me every morning. There is no getting tired of the same old breakfasts here. One morning Douglas made me a cheese omelette to die for. They did some amazing and special things for me. They both genuinely love having visitors in their wonderful home and are great conversationalists with lots of interests including travel. They also give you plenty of space if you need it as well. I really enjoyed their company. Nothing is too much trouble if they can help you with anything they will from weather reports to planning your day. In fact they totally spoil their guests. Fortunate are the airbnbers who decide to stay here as this couple are exceptional hosts. As for location it is a very short walk to the local station and then only about a 15 minutes train journey into Glasgow Central. You can also get one of the City Hop on Hop off bus tours from just near the station so everything you need is really on your radar.

Wow, the house was lovely, bedroom and bathroom clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated, and the hospitality outstanding. Margaret and Douglas went out of their way to make me feel welcome and provided delicious breakfasts including home baking and preserves. Yum yum!

I had another great stay at Margaret's place. This Airbnb is second to none; a very special experience. Margaret and her husband Douglas are lovely people, they are warm and generous hosts and have a beautiful home which they are willing to share.

Margaret and Douglas' home is beautifully decorated, welcoming and immaculate . They couldn't have been more helpful during our stay. The room is very comfortable with a lovely en-suite (great shower) and seperate sitting room. We had a lovely breakfast with homemade granola and jam on offer. Would certainly recommend, thank you for a lovely stay.

The rooms were lovely. The food amazing. The hosts are wonderful. The home is close to the train station. We will definitely stay there again.
