Places to stay in Ellison Bay

Places to stay in Ellison Bay
Get away from it all in historic Ellison Bay. Our renovated 80 year old house offers quiet charm while remaining within easy driving distance of all the artistic and natural highlights which have made Door County a tourist destination for 100 years.
Enjoy the entire first floor of the house. Guests have access to an eat-in kitchen, bathroom, single bedroom, and living room with queen sleeper sofa. This is the perfect space for a couple, a family with one young child, or three adults who are good friends. Just a note, there's nobody on the second floor (it's still being restored), so you have the whole house to yourself! Also, your cell phone should work, but there's no wifi in the house-- for that you'll need to go to the coffee shop down the hill!
  • Everything was neat and clean and exactly what was expected. I would stay here again!

  • What a cute cottage. We enjoyed staying there. I thought the pre-arrival email was really well-written--thoughtful, welcoming, and informative. When we locked ourselves out, the hostess helped us right away. I liked the information about how the house was in the family for a long time and their recent restoration process. My wife appreciated the books to read. The DVD library satisfied our need to watch TV. My wife counted, and loved, the hostess's eleven tea pots and even took a picture for Facebook. We were impressed by how clean the cottage was. I would like to stay here again.

  • This is a very well-equipped little home. The location worked great for me as I wanted to concentrate my travels to the North half of the peninsula and to visit Washington Island and Rock Island. The house is full of amenities adding to the comfort of staying there. Even with lows in the mid-forties the space heaters were quite adequate to keep the space comfortable.

  • Great location, cozy cottage.

  • It's like returning home for us when we visit Helen's lovingly cared for cottage. We love the quiet location so near to lovely parks, like-minded sports fans at the Mink River Basin Bar and Grill where the checks don't come out till near game's end, and we always find something new to explore no matter how much time we spend in the area. Thank you!

  • Very cozy cabin in a beautiful part of Ellison Bay, a wonderful location. The kitchen and bathroom are nicely updated and have everything you need for a comfortable stay. Helen is very responsive and courteous, and check in was easy as pie! I definitely don’t hesitate to recommend booking here.

  • This was a very nice place in a very quiet area. We were just looking for a place with a bed, bath, and kitchen. It was perfect for our needs. The kitchen and bath looked recently renovated. The front porch was perfect to hang out and drink our coffee in the morning and a glass of wine at night. I would stay again.

    Ryan2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at Helen’s. It is perfect for anyone looking for a relaxing weekend in the outdoors. We had everything that we needed and the location was great — close enough to stuff but far enough away to enjoy the peacefulness of the area. Would definitely stay here again!

Great tree top views from every window in this apartment!
Unplug and relax in this beautifully furnished 2 bedroom duplex apartment on a large 2 acre heavily wooded lot located just off the scenic bike route and on the northern edge of the Mink River Estuary, a 2,118 acre state natural area. We aren't located on the water but we are within walking distance! Garrett Bay Park is a short walk and a great place to launch your kayaks, swim, or catch the sunset. You will find all the comforts of home starting with the kitchen which is fully equipped with a full size fridge, electric stove/oven, dishwasher, electric griddle, portable ice maker, and a Ninja food processor/blender. I have some basic staples in the cupboard like sugar and a few spices. In the morning you can enjoy complimentary coffee and tea on the deck amidst the tree tops. In addition to the two bedrooms there is a comfortable sofa in the living room, so if needed, you will find an extra sheet set and blankets in the living room closet for the couch. There is also a queen size mattress in the living room closet along with bedding. If the weather during your stay isn't conducive to outside activities we have you covered! You will find a 55 inch smart TV with a blue ray DVD player (bring your own favorite movies!) in the living room. I have my Netflix, HULU, and Amazon Prime w/HBO accounts loaded on the TV but we currently do not have the local channels. If board games are more your thing we have a few of those in the living room closet or under the TV. Cribbage is on the table in the living room. We also have a few puzzles if you are up for a real challenge. Extra towels are located on a shelf in the bathroom and in the bathroom vanity drawers. You will find a washer and dryer in the master bedroom closet along with an iron and an ironing board. Please help yourself to the shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and laundry soap. Two window unit air conditioning units are installed (one in each bedroom) during the summer months for your comfort.
You will love the location! Minutes from Gills Rock, Northport Pier, Newport State Park (recently designated an international dark sky park by the IDA and Wisconsin's only wilderness designated state park), Europe Lake, Rowley's Bay, Sister Bay, Washington Island, and Rock Island.

  • The home is stunning, and very clean and we are picky! We stayed here for our stay home honeymoon since we live in Door County and had to cancel our other plans to travel. This was a dream come true! Everything you could think of, that you might need away from home, it was here. Close to great hikes, and lots of spices and kitchen equipment if you like to cook like me, and if not, lots of close excellent restaurants are offering carry out right now! Husband loved the map decor and I loved the architecture. Highly recommend!

    Melissa2020-04-23T00:00:00Z
  • We absolutely loved our stay. Can't wait to return in the future!

    Alison2020-04-16T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic place and great location--we'll definitely be back. Tim is absolutely a superhost.

    Mark2020-04-07T00:00:00Z
  • While traveling to Door County, our family grappled with the last minute cancelation of another property. We had wanted to say at Tim's location initially, but his calendar was booked. We were for overjoyed, when an opening suddenly appeared at his Ellison Bay cabin. It was spacious, clean, and contemporary. The sporty, north woods design aesthetic was tasteful. It all fit well with the surroundings. We are a family of 5 and it fit our crew perfectly! Would we return? You bet!

    Jason2020-03-26T00:00:00Z
  • We have stayed at a couple of Tim’s properties now, and are always very pleased. The spaces are beautifully done, and generous with amenities. We always look forward to our stays.

    Thomas2020-03-22T00:00:00Z
  • A gem! Impeccable details, perfect spot for a family getaway - especially for a winter getaway! The host was extremely organized and responsive!

    Tiffany2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • This cottage was the perfect getaway for a little R&R. The house was even better than the photos (heated floors were a great surprise). Extremely comfortable master suite and expansive space to hang out, lounge and make dinners. We also took advantage of the snowshoes and then returned back to build a fire and cozy up. Can't beat it! Would love to return in the summer to take advantage of the other amenities (kayaks, bikes, outdoor firepit) and the local shops opening. Highly recommend!

Very clean and easy to access from town. Eryka and Nick also got back to me with any and all questions super quickly! It was great!

Unplug, Unwind & Relax at our cozy Northern Door County cottage. It's clean, comfy, picturesque & private. You'll love the location - on a wooded acre & a half mid-way between Ellison Bay & Gills Rock, we're off the beaten path & on the scenic bike route. And just minutes from Gills Rock, Northport Ferry, Newport State Park, Europe Lake, Rowley's Bay, Ellison Bay & Sister Bay.
Our cottage, built in 1934, was originally located on the shore of Lake Michigan in the Jacksonport area of Door County. The cottage was purchased & moved to its present location in 1984, where it served as year-round home for its then-owner and her two sons for many years. During the move, two red squirrels were unknowingly locked in the cottage & attempted to chew their way to freedom during transport… as evidenced by the extensive gnaw marks on the front windows in what’s currently the game room! We left the windows “as is,” as a small tribute to the history of the cottage. We purchased the cottage in the spring of 2017 and when it’s not being rented, we enjoy spending time here as well. The solitude is refreshing to the soul. Start your morning with complimentary coffee (or tea, if that's your preference) on our awesome front porch. And after enjoying all that Northern Door County has to offer, you'll appreciate the serenity & solitude at our Garrett Bay Getaway to recharge again at the end of the day. Make yourselves at home! The kitchen is fully equipped, and a Weber charcoal grill is provided if you'd rather grill out than cook in. For your "down time" there are two hammocks, television & DVDs, books to read, & games galore. There's a fire pit in the back yard & plenty of firewood, and if a toasted marshmallow is calling to you, there are skewers for that! And the cottage comes complete with a million stars in the sky, free for the viewing nightly!
We're not on the water, but it's close by. The Garrett Bay kayak launch is less than a mile down the road to the west, and the public boat launch in Gills Rock is less than a mile to the east!
  • You can expect to be cozy and well taken care of! Everything you need is provided, and spotlessly clean. Perfect for a romantic weekend or family vacation. Will definitely be back!

  • We had an amazing time! This was the first time using Airbnb and Sally’s place exceeded our expectations. This is a VERY cute cottage. I would not change a thing. Sally was very responsive. We had all the info we needed. Check-in was super easy. Sally provided us all the details and even contacted us to let us know we could check-in early. The location is perfect. Easy to get to from Hwy 42. Quite and tranquil. Very close to Garrett Bay, Door Bluff, Ellison Bay and Gills Rock. Short drive to all of the other wonderful towns in Upper Door. The cottage itself is prefect. From the two decks to the indoor amenities. Very clean. It was very cold when we were there but the indoor fireplace saved the day. I have been coming to Door Co. my whole life and I think I found my new happy place. Thank you Sally and Ken!!!

    Greg2019-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • This is our second stay here and we Love it. The house is cute, well insulated and quite! We love the solitude. Sally and Ken have many amenities like a hair dryer, lots of bathroom supplies and towels, spices to cook, condiments in the fridge...I could go on and on! The bed is firm and comfy and we even had a bit of an issue and they fixed it right away! We will be back again!

    Kris2019-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • Had a wonderful time staying at Sally’s Garrett Bay Getaway! It was so nice staying out in the country although it was only a few minutes north of Ellison Bay. And even though the photos show you exactly what the cottage looks like, they don’t show all the little extras. Nothing has been overlooked! The cottage is charming, cozy and immediately feels like home.

  • What a private and cozy spot! We really enjoyed it inside and out. There’s a beautiful walking path through the meadow, it was perfect at sunset. Very relaxing stay!

Located in one of the best locations in Door County: Sister Bay. Walk to downtown Sister Bay where a wide range of dining, beach, shopping, and other Door County adventures await. Or ride to town on one of the two bikes provided to guests of the Yoga Pad. This place is great for couples or small families looking to be in the middle of the action! Also great for Yoga practitioners looking for heated and non-heated classes…right next door.
Clean and roomy. Large one-floor open concept space next-door to Ironwood Yoga (same building). Roughly 1000 SQF. Updated full bath with shower. 2 FREE YOGA passes a day make this an outstanding value for yogis. Full kitchen is a great addition. The king bed is a Casper and it is very comfy. The second bed is a brand new queen size bed with a memory foam mattress that is also crazy comfortable. Full Disclosure: There is an apartment above this space and sounds can be heard at various times during the day. If you are looking for extreme quiet you may want to look elsewhere. Most sounds can be mitigated with white noise apps or the AC. We provide the use of a Bluetooth JBL Flip speaker should you want to listen to music.
  • The place was so cute! I loved it! WlI will definitely be back!

    Lindsay2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • I loved staying at the Yoga Loft. Ironwood is my favorite place to practice in Door County so getting yoga classes along with a great place to stay was such a bonus. The apartment is really big and very clean. I loved the fireplace and the kitchen was well stocked. You can definitely hear the upstairs neighbors, but I knew that was the case from other reviews and it didn't bother me. I'd definitely stay here again.

    Justine2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay! As noted by others, you can hear the upstairs neighbors but it really is not a problem unless you're looking for complete solace. The yoga classes were a great value; a very convenient way to get some exercise in on vacation. The location is great too - just an 8 minute walk and you're in downtown Sister Bay.

    Robyn2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Clean, easy, and comfortable. The only downside, really, and as noted by the posting and other reviewers, is the noise from the upstairs apartment. This can be, frankly, pretty noticable. That said, you ignore it quickly, and it's more than overcome by the great location, very cool space, and cost. It's a quite large space as well. Overall, a really good stay.

    William2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome, clean place! Our favorite parts about the place was the comfortable beds and very clean shower! Will be back!

    Sydnee2019-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay was enjoyable, a warm and comfortable space nestled between great antique shops and across from a Piggly Wiggly that has everything you would need for your stay. A short walk to local amenities for dining and a great coffee shop (Analog) just down the street. Enjoy your stay, we did!

    Chandler2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • This Airbnb was fantastic! It was clean, comfortable, and had all of the amenities. We loved sitting by the fire and watching Netflix at the end of the day when the weather wasn’t the greatest. We will definitely stay again if we go back to Door County.

    Nicole2019-10-16T00:00:00Z
  • This place is a wonderful place to stay, very charming and spacious and a great location. The yoga classes are also a fun addition!!

  • Hello! If anybody is looking for a cozy, secluded, great located cottage-we are highly recommending Alyssa’s space! It can be a romantic gateway or family vacation spot, since You have all You need to enjoy the outdoors and cook your own meal. It was sparkling clean and we are planning to come back there with a bigger group during the summer months. We loved everything about it!!!!

  • Great place to relax and recoup! Great hospitality, fast and accurate communication. Great weekend escape and retreat, great for a family.

    Gus ,Konstantinos2020-03-29T00:00:00Z
  • We went to the cabin over a weekend when our house was having showings. It was just what we needed a secluded get away. Alyssa was very quick to respond and very informative with checkin/ check out. There was cancellations so we had the property to ourselves which was very nice. We got to bring our dog Daisy who I think enjoyed the cabin the most with the access to the wooded backyard and open space. We enjoyed the layout of the cabin and the coziness of the fireplace. We hope to come back again in the summer time to visit the lake and surrounding attractions.

    Emma2020-03-22T00:00:00Z
  • The A-frame north unit was cozy and quiet, a perfect solo-retreat space. The wood burning stove was perfect for relaxing indoors, and plenty of outdoor spaces nearby to explore. The kitchen had everything you could need for cooking. I'd definitely come back when the weather is warmer, and it was definitely also the perfect winter getaway!

Bright, private, clean studio with private porch + entrance. New wood floor, beams + furniture. New queen bed with cozy bedding. Bathroom with tiled floor + shower, marble bathroom vanity + water-conserving toilet. Washer/dryer included. TV with Hulu, Netflix + Prime available. Two blocks from the water and walking distance to downtown. Very safe + quiet road set 2 blocks off the main highway. Private parking space, new sidewalks + a beautiful wooded yard. Coffee, snacks and beverages provided.
We think Ephraim is the most beautiful town in Door County! Our house is just a short walk to beautiful Eagle Harbor and everything in Ephraim. Our home was built in 1930 and we completely renovated the entire house in 2018. There is new plumbing, electric, drywall, insulation, windows, and flooring throughout, but we also kept the quaintness of your typical Ephraim home. Please note that because the house is almost 100 years old, you might occasionally hear the creak of our footsteps on the wood floors (we live on the second floor), but nothing loud! We try to be very quiet and respectful of our guests. There is a secure, locked door between your space and ours. You might occasionally hear us leave for work or cooking a meal in the kitchen downstairs, but we mainly spend our time upstairs. Nearly everything is brand new in the interior of the home. Enjoy your own beautiful, private studio with a bathroom and laundry room. The bathroom is all brand new and we used the space wisely. Please keep in mind that the walk-in shower is 3'x3.' We have carefully decorated and picked out high-end furniture for you in the studio. We hope you feel cozy and comfortable during your stay! The queen mattress is top quality and very comfortable. We also provide several snacks and beverages to help yourself to, as well as coffee and cream. You have your own private porch and entrance with a table and chairs, perfect for early morning coffee or late afternoon wine. We have a very sunny, well-kept yard and we are within walking distance to the beach and downtown Ephraim. Our house is surrounded by trees and you will often hear the frogs singing, the birds chirping, or even witness a deer walking thru our yard! We live in and own the home, but have our own private space separate from the guest space. You might hear us walking around, cooking dinner, or leaving for work in the morning. We love living here and we hope that you’ll love staying in our peaceful, quiet, yet close-to-everything-in-Door County Sunny Studio! Oh....did we mention we love our dogs and welcome yours as well with prior approval? There is a limit to two dogs, pending size and weight. We love Door County because it’s such a dog-friendly community! Our neighborhood is perfect for dog walks, as well as the State Parks nearby. Sister Bay has an awesome dog park. Please send an inquiry and we will message you a full list of our dog rules. You can also find our dog rules in the House Manual in our listing. We strive to make your vacation with your dog most enjoyable but do have strict rules. Please make sure to read our rules to make sure we are the right fit for you and your pups. We do not charge for dogs and will continue providing this feature at no cost as long as our guests follow our requirements. We provide covers for the furniture, feeding bowls, leashes, and bags for proper disposal of waste if needed.
Leroy’s Coffeehouse is a 10 minute walk or 2 minute drive. Good Eggs Cafe is 2 blocks away, just a quick 5 minute walk. The Ephraim public beach is 5 blocks away. Restaurants and shops are just a 15 minute walk or 3 minute drive. We are 2 blocks from the waterfront where you can enjoy the best sunsets in the County! Many business have seasonal hours or are closed in the winter, so double check with me or with the reading material left in the room.

  • Although we never made it to Laurel's place, we appreciated her prompt responses to our questions. We booked at the beginning of the Corinavirus breakout in Wisconsin and still were planning on going to Door County, but on the morning of the trip, Door County authorities requested publicly that people not visit and Laurel was kind enough to cancel our reservations and refund our money. Meanwhile, she kept us informed on whether there were any dining options (takeout & delivery only) and how things were in Door County. We will definitely book again this summer.

  • Kathleen and Rick were exceptional hosts. The Hunmingbird Inn is a gem in Door County. Kathleen didn’t miss a single detail. From the custom homemade breakfast, to the tips about things to do in the area, and the gorgeous backyard paradise they’ve created, everything was absolutely perfect! We would highly recommend a stay with them to anyone who wants a picturesque and serene retreat in Ellison bay.

    Carly2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • This location was perfect for everything we had planned to do and everything we didn't plan to do! A lot of our trip was just kind of "winging it" and both Kathleen and Rick had great suggestions of things to do or see in the area. This is no joke, breakfast was wonderful and delicious! We were not expecting such a great soar for breakfast, everything home made and exactly at the time it was planned to be done by! We would love to visit and stay here again hopefully next year!

My home is easy walking to restaurants, beaches, parks. My condo is spacious. It is shared space. Your bed/bath are very private. There is garage space for your vehicle/bicycles. You also have access to a sunroom. Included is a continental breakfast. It is ideal for couples, girlfriend getaways and solo adventurers. I look forward to greeting you. Door County is an experiential getaway so expectations are you will be out and about for the majority of your stay.
The twin beds are swedish-made and very comfortable offering "Tempurpedic-like" support; they are extra long. Linens are 400+ count, cotton. I am eco friendly so offer fresh linens upon request as opposed to changing on a specific cycle. I also use detergents for sensitive skin types. Your bath is private and has a tub/shower combination, large mirror and excellent lighting. There is a private year round sun porch for your use. That being said, my guests are adventurous and rarely at home. If you are looking for a place to just hang out and settle in, this would not be the correct choice. Your car, bikes, kayaks are secured in a private garage.
Please see house manual section to learn how I am cleaning related to Covid 19. I live in a small community of a variety of condos, all built around the trees. The community is friendly, very quiet, peaceful and safe. You have opportunities to walk the streets and paths and enjoy the beauty. I am less than two blocks from Lake Michigan. Baileys Harbor has been repeatedly named a Bird City, offering a variety of birds for those who love birdwatching

  • This was our second time staying at Scotland Yard Airbnb with Tom & Michele. By far the best Airbnb experience we’ve had. Personal touches, amazing breakfast, and seasoned door county residents able to recommend only the best available in the county. We will be back again for sure. Love Joe, Jessica, Riley 🐶 and Zoey 🐾

  • We had a lovely winter weekend at Scotland Yard and enjoyed nearby outdoor hikes and skiing, and felt very welcomed in this amazing place, full of Scottie-dog love and delicious food. Michele built a wonderful fire in the fireplace and we enjoyed the cozy great room space to kick back and relax in the evenings. Tom and Michele joined us at breakfast and it was wonderful to chat about places to see and experience in the area. We appreciated all the delightful touches of this magical place set in the woods. Comfortable bed, cozy robes and towels, and refreshments (water, coffee, freshly baked cookies!) were all very much appreciated. We'll definitely return!

    Ellen2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • All I can say about Tom and Michele's place is WOW! From Michele checking in with me prior to our stay to ask about dietary needs and restrictions, to the warm welcome by Michele when we arrived, to the beautiful room with so many amenities and extras, to enjoying a homemade breakfast with Tom and Michele's company and conversation -- this place can't be beat. I only wish we could have stayed longer, and next time we visit we just might!

    Anna2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • I honestly can not say enough great things about our stay. We only left a few hours ago and I already miss Michelle and Tom! They are the definition of SUPER Hosts. Michelle is one of the sweetest ladies I have ever had the pleasure of meeting and Tom is super nice and funny! Michelle goes out of her way to make you feel at home and comfortable from the moment you walk in. From the homemade cookies, snacks, coffee and a special welcome letter in your room to the phenomenal breakfast to makes every morning. Also getting to play with the all the puppies!! Sparky loves attention and is so sweet. Everything was amazing. This was mine and my husband's first stay at a B&B and everything about Scotland Yard far exceeded our expectations!! We were definitely spoiled and can not wait to return. THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING MICHELLE AND TOM!

    Carrie2019-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • This place is a dream! Take a step into Scotland Yard and experience hospitality beyond belief. Michele is an excellent cook and her husband Tom is entertaining to chat with. The space was cozy and very clean. Everything greatly exceeded our expectations - we will be back!

    Meghan2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Warm cookies on arrival, delicious homemade breakfast, friendly and knowledgeable hosts, and sweet puppy snuggles made us so glad we chose to book at Scotland Yard! Tom and Michele paid so much attention to tiny details (e.g., drinks in a mini fridge and snack basket in the room with locally grown apples) that although we only needed a room as a landing spot during a festival weekend, we would have been happy to spend the entire weekend inside!

    Amber2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Tom and Michelle were fantastic and accommodating. They made our anniversary trip to Door County relaxing and special. We would definitely stay again and recommend any and all to consider staying at the BnB.

    Jacob2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • Tom and Michele are the best you come in as visitors and you leave as family!🐶💚💛

  • Very dog friendly! They even had a little doggie goodie bag in the room when I got there. The hotel is right on the beach, had a fire both of the nights I was there. The host was very nice and helpful. Rooms are smaller but clean and modern, and the beds were very comfortable. Great spot to watch the sunrise as well.

  • It doesn’t look like much from the outside. My husband and I came to see the dark sky. We got into our room and wow!!! It was so nice. Granite in the really well stocked kitchenette, granite in bath, gorgeous tub, lovely wood like flooring and tile, great balcony and the view!!

  • This house was adorable. It was perfect me and my friend. We were able to cook pancakes and spaghetti using the utensils provided for us by Patrice. Patrice was great in helping us throughout the stay. I highly recommend this place.

    Annie2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Patrice’s home is a paradise in Door county. We braved the Wisconsin winter to explore Door county in the off season and loved her place. It’s homey, comfortable, and reminds you to enjoy the beauty of winter. Highly recommend this place! It’s very close to the downtown and great coffee shops. Patrice is wonderful and answers any questions right away.

    Alli2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Patrice has a wonderful space, and is a fantastic host, she is so thoughtful and caring of her guests. Will definitely be booking with her again!

  • Wonderful home away from home, beautiful, quaint , charming atmosphere. Location is amazing about a two minute drive away from town and about 5-10 minutes from anything you’d need. Definitely will be planning our next trip in the summer.

    Librado2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Patrice was very helpful in answering any questions or concerns we had and the home was perfect for me and my partner to have a getaway.

    August2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Patrice was extremely accommodating, had quick responses, and her dollhouse was beautiful! Everything was clean and she had basically everything you would possibly ever need, but might have forgot to pack! She was very clear and concise in her check-in, during-the-stay, and check-out directions. She included awesome pamphlets and magazines of everything you'd need to know about the Door County area. The price was almost unbelievable (in a great way) for how lovely and spacious her home was. This was perfect for my boyfriend and I to spend the weekend in such a cute area, while still being close enough to drive to Lambeau for the Packers vs. Bears game that Sunday!!! Perfect for a weekend getaway for a couple.

    Natalie2019-12-16T00:00:00Z
  • I loved staying here for a weekend getaway with my husband. My favorite moment was sitting on the sun porch with tea and a blanket while the sunlight streamed in.

    Emily2019-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect location for all that Door County has to offer. Patrice was a great host, and the dollhouse was just perfect and made out stay even better.

The warm fireplace in the room was cozy and the warm fireplace with crackling wood fire (please note I didn't chop, haul, load, or light the logs) was a delight! Simply put, it was a wonderful stay, and thank you very much!

  • Very relaxing, great location and very clean.

    Tiffany2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • The room was spacious and included a sitting area. We were there while it was cold and enjoyed the gas fireplace in our room. We also enjoyed the fire in the common area in the morning. It was a nice place to sit and have coffee. The hosts were very responsive to requests. The location is near Baileys Harbor; it was outside of town, making it easy to go to other locations. We would definitely come back.

Lots of storage space too. Can get to Fish Creek in 15 minutes, ditto Bailey's Harbor. Away from the maddening crowds yet super convenient.

You can spend time sitting on one of the porches and chilling, go out sightseeing or next door to the Winery. The room we had was large, comfortable and sparkling clean. You got a fridge and microwave too. Our hosts were helpful and super nice. Looking forward to our next visit!

  • We had a great time at this cabin. It was just what me and my family needed for a long weekend. The kids loved the tree swings and the fire pit. They loved being in the woods and rolling down the hill in the bright yellow leaves. The cabin is clean and they had everything we needed for our stay.

    Ben2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our time at Nicole's place. The location is excellent, and we enjoyed the outdoor swings during our autumn stay. Very much enjoyed the shower with excellent water pressure! Loved looking outside at the fall colors all around us. Thank you!

    Bianca2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • What a great stay for our visit to beautiful Gills Rock and Door County in the fall. Being awakened to coffee, and bakery items was a great addition. And all our questions were promptly answered. Thanks for being super hosts!

    Josh2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • Truly an enjoyable place. Peaceful, quiet, and away from the hustle and bustle of the touristy areas of Door County, yet minutes away from great dining and entertainment. The smell of coffee and bakery awaken the senses each morning. What a great way to greet the day.

  • SO great! This is our second stay at Char’s place, and it was lovely, like the first. Very clean, neat (cool) space...best part is morning coffee and fresh pastries in the tower room!

    Nina2019-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • Char and Dewey are amazing hosts, going above and beyond in every way. From the thoughtful touch of the fireplace on the TV to the basket of toiletries available for use, they have thought of everything you might need. Not to mention the great pastries and hot drinks in the cafe. Simply a great stay.

    Lauren2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • We loved staying here! I really liked the private entrance and we were able to come and go as we pleased. The room was very clean and nicely decorated. Bedside chocolates were a nice touch too! Even though we didn’t take the time to use it, the 3rd floor tower sitting room would be very relaxing. Great location as well to explore the tip of Door County. Just minutes down the road from the Washington Island ferry. We will definitely come back if her back up there. Thanks Char!

    Jill2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • I was impressed with the thoughtful touches like my name on the chalkboard outside the door. There were chocolates at the bedside. A nice selection of travel sized toiletries. We loved the coffee and pastries from the shop below as well.

Totally Remodeled 2012 Brenner Tower! The first floor has a family room and half bath with three separate doors to walk out. The master bedroom is situated on the middle floor with a shower and half bath behind the bed. There is an office nook and floor to ceiling windows. On the third story there is 365 degree windows with view of rolling fields, Bay of Green Bay and Washington Island. All stainless steel appliances, granite counter tops and open concept.
  • We loved our short stay at Brenner House. We took our Corgi, and while she didn't care for all of the stairs, she loved the outdoors. There building is even more gorgeous than the photos reveal. We drove from Iowa, and wish we would have booked a much longer stay. Loved it!

    Jake2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • We will definitely be back!!

    Robert2019-12-02T00:00:00Z
  • My wife and I stayed at Brenner tower and were amazed by the views! It is truly an unique experience that is hard to come by. You can even see views of the lake from the tower! In my opinion, the current pictures with this listing don't do justice for how nice it actually is! The shower was definitely tight, and had very low shower head even for my wife at 5' 7', however it is clean and merely a place for quick bathing anyways. I still managed just fine at 6' 6". The fireplace provided in the main kitchen/dining lever is beautiful, and is an excellent heat source. My wife an I liked it so much we decided to hang out on the kitchen floor and watch movies on there instead on a blanket. The owner provided just about any amenity you can need in a 2-4 night stay, be sure to bring your own cooking oils and seasonings (not that I anticipated them to be there anyways). There was also a fire pit setup in the back for your personal use, so be sure to bring firewood if that sparks your interest. Overall my wife and I had a wonderful experience for our anniversary trip and would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a unique experience in Door County.

Our simple cozy sleeping house is 10'x8'' single room cordwood cabin w/ a smooth door county rock floor and sleeps two. We've been busy updating, added an outhouse w/ a composting toilet, an eco design outdoor shower we attached to an old cedar 12x12 deck for private sunbathing & long naps. We also added a stainless sink w/ a foot pump for dishes, decked out the outdoor kitchen w/ a couple rocket stoves to go w/ the fire pit grill, a workspace, mini fridge, kitchenware, patio table/chairs.
After two years of just letting our friends and family enjoy the serenity of the sleeping house bliss we've opened it up to guests. This season we made it totally self sufficient lodging when we added the composting toilet inside a separate tiny house and outdoor cedar shower. It is a gravity shower fed by two barrels, one barrel painted black for the sun to heat and one (maybe cooler although it sits in the sun as well) blue barrels, the idea is you will be able to get a decently comfortable shower but that is not a guarantee since we can not control how the sun will heat the water in the barrels . We supply towels, biodegradable shampoo, bar soap. Inside the sleeping house we added a small wicker loveseat to go with the full size bed w/all cotton sheets, down pillows and comforter . A side table w lamps, a tall open shelf for your things , a fan for ventilation on the top shelf, and a small floor heater for cooler nights can be turned on to make it toasty. The walls are eight inches thick so it does get toasty. The outdoor kitchen is supplied with kitchenware for making and serving a meal plus some extras like a french press, coffee and tea. We supply bio soap, toilet paper, bio shampoo and conditioner, paper towels, cloth napkins, coffee, tea and honey! There is also electricity for small electrics including lamps, a mini fridge phone charger, a hot pot, fan and a heater ( if needed). We also provide drinking water, a teapot, cooking mitts, flashlight, matches and other essentials. You do have wifi also in the cabin. 🤔 THINGS TO NOTE -Our very sweet neighbors to our east host six large weddings a year usually on a Saturday night and often in the evening. There is usually music at night till 11:00 so please ask for dates if this matters to you. -This homestead is for outdoorsy people who value being closer to the elements of natural living, want to step away from routine . of convenience, and into the little house in the prairie. If you are inspired to cook a meal outside, comfortable using a composting toilet and taking a shower under a gentle stream in the pines you will experience the value of the is offering - The meadow is full bees, crickets, flies, spiders, and grasshoppers all around, you will hear the rain on the rooftop, loud frogs at saloon time and occasionally have to deal with mosquitos , however we live on a hill, often have a great breeze so i think we have very few mosquitos. -Pitching a tent with extra people is allowed with an additional charge of 20.00 a night per person. -After 10pm things need to get quite, so our neighbors and other guests are not disturbed. Your area is pretty private so sitting up late by the campfire is easy. -We are really only comfortable with one dog because the cabin is small and has a tender screen door which we have fixed a few times, if you have two super chill dogs you can send a note about it to be considered. The neighbors who live on five acres next door have a horse farm with an electric fence so fyi if your dog wanders. Our border Blue heads over to play with the neighbors dog Scout often and has never had a problem. - If you run out of drinking water you can fill the five gallon jug we supply at the main hose on the outside of the main house, we have very good well water. -In the fall we have the most amazing Indian Summer Days but we also have cold, wet and rainy days so please be certain all weather works for you when booking the sleeping house because we do not do refunds. - We are taking care of our daughters cats this summer so please drive very slowly and be alert to them wandering near as you travel back to the sleeping house with your car. Tim haas put up a sign where we would like you to park your car. -Checking out is simple-please carry your bag of recyclables and your bag of garbage to the main large bins in the front of the pole barn as you exit. Recyclables can be mixed. -Please strip your sheets and put them in the laundry basket we supply with you dirty towels. More about the land and location - Our northern door land is on a hill so the meadow is open, high and dry and happens to be on a natural migration path. You may see turkey vultures , hawks, eagles, and owls, along with flocks of pelicans, geese and sandhill cranes. Warms winds move through all day in the summer, we are 3/4 ,mile from the lake which can be easily accessed by taking HWY ZZ to Waters End Road east. There you will find an very quaint shoreline and Sand Beach County Park with a shallow soft sand walk in which is especially nice for little ones. Also you will often hear the coyotes at night, see turkeys and pileated woodpeckers, morning doves often in the morning if your windows are open. We also have blue birds in a few of our bird houses and yellow finch nesting. Feel free to walk the meadow trail, visit our vegetable garden or enjoy the hammock in woods . There is central council area with the greatest vistas for sunsets for everyone to enjoy. You will see a wooden bench, large circle table and yellow and white striped cushioned chairs. The Sleeping House cordwood tiny cabin is about 25 paces form the main house which has two independent dwellings. The main house is divided into to two separate dwellings We rent the "Meadow Sweet Retreat" on the west side of the house so you may run into other guests. The main house was built about 20 years ago by a local builder and arborist so we are graced with his fore thought and intentional plantings, a healthy and elegant community forest of hardwoods, pines and spruces. We also have a 30x50 pole barn where you can store your bikes etc.. and one other additional lodging cabin we call the Cottage Barn Guest House, which our daughters and friends and family stay. HISTORY OF SLEEPING HOUSE How the Sleeping house came to be .....Our oldest daughter Grace researched, designed and built this cordwood tiny house as a sustainable design project to fulfill her 12 college credit independent study. We, her mom and dad, were invited to join in the fun and enjoyed every minute of three months it took to build. All the lumber for framing the house was locally milled by the Henschel"s awesome Sawmill in Egg Harbor. The eight inch cord wood sections were cut from 50 local 30' cedar tree trunks, all the sand, driftwood, rock and gravel came from the land, windows from the restore, and we salvaged aluminum roofing from a tear down in Ashland. Our local hardware stores supplied us with all the hardwares except for the steel brackets (designed by Grace's engineer dad Tim) those were manufactured by Hi-Tec in Sturgeon Bay. Grace and I were inspired to naturally design in the large scale weathered driftwood collage type sculpture from meadow finds, found glass and collected soft smooth lake Michigan rock, it was a moment to moment unfolding tribute to the raw fun we had shaping it all into form ... it is a sweet elemental haven for simple people and basic living.
  • We had a wonderful stay at the Sleeping House. The weather took a turn to feel more like December than October and Kathleen made sure we were very comfortable in the House. Would love to come back when the weather is warmed to enjoy all the outdoor facilities. The Sleeping House is in a great location, very close to Sister Bay

  • Perfect for outdoorsy, hip folks who are looking for something different.

  • A cute cabin for to complete a quintessential Door County experience.

    Katherine2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • This space is so unique & makes for a fun "adventure" within Door County. Kathleen provides so many amenities and makes it feel like your home away from home. Loved staying here & will certainly recommend it to friends & family. Thanks Kathleen!

    Zoe2019-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • Kathleen was a phenomenal host for our unique and one of a kind experiences! We love to camp and enjoy the outdoors. With this stay, we needed no preparation for “camping” as Kathleen had everything we would need! We felt right at home and were even graced with some homemade (DELICIOUS) key lime pie as we finished up our campfire dinner on our last night. We highly recommend this location to anyone interested in a unique get-away!

    Nicholas2019-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful experience in the heart of everything that makes Door County special, but removed from the summer mainstream traffic and tribulations. We stayed in the unique ‘Sleeping House’ and enjoyed the comfort and tranquility. The shower and facilities were also unique and well-designed, and the outdoor cooking and fire pit area was just fine for our purposes. But, as Paul Thoreaux has said, what makes travel special is the people you meet. Kathleen and Tim were wonderful, gracious hosts and provided us with a thorough introduction to our space and valuable guidance to nearby activities. This site is sure to become one of the area’s premiere places to call home during the summer travel season, and perhaps beyond.

    Liam2019-07-26T00:00:00Z
  • You can expect a home that keeps you close to nature and close to the heart of Door County!

    Amanda2019-07-18T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin was everything we wanted and more. There were so many thoughtful touches and amenities, we could have stayed there for weeks quite comfortably. Cozy location and an amazing experience.

Come enjoy a spacious, sunny and lovely studio surrounded by gardens and a deep, green forest with Lake Michigan just across the road. On the eastern shoreline of Door County, the studio has cathedral ceilings and two walls of windows. Very arty, comfy and quiet. Secluded with expansive, but private, views of the surrounding forest. There is a full kitchen and a small supermarket is nearby. Restaurants also nearby . Excellent hiking and biking. Easy access to all of Door County. Dreamy!
Cathedral ceilings and room-size windows open to a forest and gorgeous, natural gardens all around you. Walk the short path to Lake Michigan and have your coffee on the bench there at sunrise. This is the "Quiet Side" of the peninsula, popular with hikers and bicyclists, and nature lovers. You will see deer, foxes, birds and enjoy nature to the fullest. There is a big backyard with a table and barbecue for your use. Behind you is the 1000 state-protected acres of Shivering Sands State Natural Area. The studio has one queen-size bed. I can also provide a comfortable single mattress made up for a third person on the oriental rug. Glidden Drive is the Eastern Shore of the Door Peninsula and one of the most desirable parts of the county: private, quiet, scenic. Woods and water, stone shores and sandy beaches are nearby. Given the recent “safe at home” restrictions in the state you should know that Door County has experienced only a few cases of the virus and no one was hospitalized here. However, we have been very cautious about social distancing and many of our restaurants are still, as of May 20, pickup-only, though that may change soon. We all ask our guests to be cautious as well. For the security of my guests –and my family—I have kept the studio empty all winter and spring. I have of course instituted extra cleaning procedures. Also, I am only renting on weekends in June in July to allow for more time for cleaning and “airing out” between guests. The gardens are blooming, the air is warm and scenery is, as always, fantastic.
There are only large private homes here on this beautiful Wisconsin-designated Rustic Road. This is the shore of Lake Michigan and is all woods and water gorgeous. Biking and kayaking are popular. Great hiking goes through the 1000 acres of protected land behind the house as well as all through the County. Popular Whitefish Dunes State Park and Cave Point County Park are five miles away. Woods and water surround you everywhere. Two restaurants and a well-stocked convenience store (meat, veggies, etc) are nearby. All of Door County is available for you to see and enjoy in this centrally-located place on this spot on the Peninsula. Shopping, theater, museums, fishing, swimming, great food, historical places.... it's all here in these small, friendly towns.
  • Joan’s place is quaint and quiet, just what you want when visiting Door County! The space is clean, the amenities are great, and it’s a perfect amount of room for you and a significant other. Joan provides great instructions for what you need in order for maximum relaxation while spending your time there. The location is also phenomenal. Be sure to check out The Hitching Post and Donnys Glidden Restaurant during your stay!

  • Lovey studio attached to a home. We had complete privacy. It was warm and cozy and the surrounding forest and shoreline (both in walking distance) were beautiful.

  • Joan was a superb host! Not only did she provide great local suggestions and tips but she was quick to oblige to our unexpected early arrival. The airbnb was adorable, very clean and the perfect outdoor getaway. We wish we could have been able to stay longer!

  • Joan was very friendly, responsive, and hospitable. The space was welcoming, clean, and was accurately characterized in the description. I greatly appreciated Joan’s local recommendations and offers to answer questions about the area. I would highly recommend this stay to others.

  • Nice place to stay right next to Lake Michigan and a large nature preserve. Would definitely come back!

    Alex2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • Joan's house was exactly what I was looking for! The outside temps were chilly, but I was cozy inside, with the layered rugs, multiple pillows and blankets, and ambient lighting. I especially appreciated all of the Door County literature she supplied, so I could figure out what I wanted to do everyday! Also, for the few times I needed her, Joan was quick to respond. Her house had everything I needed for a relaxing stay!

Supper cute apartment in a 105 year old house in Sister Bay. The apartment is on the second story of the building, and it has separate entrance and private areas (upper deck and front porch) It is very close to the water, but most of the shore properties are private. It’s 5 min. drive to the largest public beach in Door County. The apartment is really nice and convenient place and you should book it, if it’s available.
Our second story apartment consists of a bedroom with attached bathroom and a living room with open kitchen. The access to the back deck is from the bedroom. The apartment has many windows and it is surrounded by lots of trees. The access to the apartment is from the front of the house ( the stone porch), and the parking is in the front ( between the cedar trees) As you walk in, the wooden stair case leads you to your apartment.
My house is located on the north end of Sister Bay . It is very close to the water, but the shoreline is mostly private and the closest public beach/shore is 15-20 min walk. The downtown beach is 5-6 min. drive. The house is 105 year old house surrounded by an apple orchard on one side and a forest on the other.
  • Marijuana's place is absolutely charming! The views are beautiful and it was very close to downtown Sister Bay.

    Malkah2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • Mariana's place was clean and comfortable with all amenities provided. She is a very nice and welcoming host. Would encourage all to stay there.

    Steve2019-11-08T00:00:00Z
  • Mariyana's is a clean, comfortable, peaceful, and lovely apartment in a rural area just a short drive from downtown Sister Bay. There are plenty of extra linens in the closet if you need them, and the kitchen has everything you need if you want to cook and eat there, even wine glasses and a tea kettle! I had a chance meeting with the host outside during my visit, and Mariyana is warm and friendly, and makes you feel like you are visiting family. If you stay there before November begins, be sure to also visit the amazing Seaquist Orchards store down the road!

    Sharon2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • This location did not disappoint. It was away from the hustle bustle of tourist areas, quiet, set in country woods with an apple orchard beside it. We needed few amenities and were happy with what was provided - simple pleasures in a sparkling clean setting, providing a quiet rest from our day of hiking Newport Park and the streets of nearby Door County towns that were just a short drive away.

    Diane2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • We loved the peaceful and quiet setting next to the apple orchard - close to town without the hustle and bustle ; the apartment was clean and well appointed. We'd stay here again! Thank you Mariyana!

    Elizabeth2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • Mariyana is excellent to work with and has a lovely space! It accommodated 4 of us well and had a nice layout and private entrance. Lots of windows so be prepared for a bright morning unless you have a sleep mask. Really quiet and peaceful location in the country surrounded by orchards.

  • Lindsey's cottage was a fantastic getaway. The location is superb, and Lindsey was very easy and quick to communicate with regarding check in/out as well as any questions I had during my stay. Would absolutely recommend.

    Francis2020-05-03T00:00:00Z
  • It was beautiful and very relaxing. We didn't want to leave . We are planning on coming back very soon! Thank you.

    Sergio2020-04-24T00:00:00Z
  • The place was perfect! We booked the trip mid winter to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Obviously- due to covid-19, no hustle and bustle in chicago, but moving the quarantine for a weekend was delightful. Lindsey made us feel reassured. We brought breakfast and lunch flood- and had many takeout/delivery options in close distance for dinner. Hiking was great nearby on the ice age trail! (The real reason for picking the region for the getaway) Side note: bed was super comfy and view was beautiful to wake up to :)

    Taylor2020-04-19T00:00:00Z
  • This cottage was an amazing stay! The level of cleanliness and comfort was out of this world! And waking up to the beautiful views of the bay were breathtaking. Such an awesome little place tucked in a beautiful little neighborhood.

  • Beautiful oasis on the lake, very peaceful. Slept like a champ!

    Joseph2020-04-12T00:00:00Z
  • We had a perfect stay! The cottage is beautiful and the the views are incredible (loved watching the sunset across the bay). Lindsey is the perfect hostess and thought of all the details that make the stay special. Our nine month-old son enjoyed rolling around on a picnic blanket behind the cottage and watching the ducks in the water. We especially enjoyed how peaceful and quiet the location is! Another wonderful memory to store away...💓

Ellison Bay is centrally located making it a great location for those visiting both the southern villages of Door County or the Northern parks and Islands.
  • What a lovely place. Great location within walking distance of great beach, playground, tennis courts, general store, and coffee shops. This is a quieter part of Door County but still easy to get to everything. Sophie left nice touches like fresh produce, chocolates, and flowers which made everything feel so welcoming and homey. The cottage is simple and clean with a great porch. Loved our time here! Truly a relaxing spot from a great host.

    Courtney2019-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • Nice, clean, comfortable house to launch your Door County adventures from. Fans for those warm summer nights worked great. Everything else, just fine! Only weakness is the cellular phone signal. Service okay in the morning, then disappears. Sophie does a great job. It was our second time here in three years.

    Frank2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • Loved the wraparound porch and backyard. Great, quiet location.

    Rebecca2019-07-26T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our week at the cottage. Location is idyllic, home is charming and clean, Sophie was extremely accommodating and communicative. The experience could not have been better.

  • Absolutely loved sour stay. Sophie was an amazing host. The house was everything we expected and more . I greatly enjoyed the small touches that were included. Particularly the board games and fresh flowers. Communication with Sophie was excellent. I would highly recommend this listing to others.

  • This charming Door County home is a bower of peace and thoughtfulness, and it is indeed sunny! We appreciated all the considerate, tasteful touches in this very well-put-together place. It was immaculately clean (including the refrigerator!) and, though small, felt very roomy and comfortable. The bed was lovely - with good pillows and very comfortable. The shower was strong and adjustable. You will find everything you need on hand in the kitchen. Parking is on the premises, so there are no problems there. The location in Ellison Bay is perfect, being on a quiet street yet very near interesting places - walkable. There is a fire ring in the yard but due to rainy days we weren't able to use it on this short trip. Thank you so much!

    Rachel2018-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • We spent 3 nights in Sophie’s cottage. The place was clean and really nice. There is also a really nice yard and the place is quiet. The host was responsive and accommodating. We really enjoyed our stay. I definitely want to go back!

The Flats on Church Street are Door County's newest, most modern vacation rentals. The days of kitsch and lace are over! We built these rentals to give visitors to Door County something different. Each 1-bedroom/1-bathroom apartment features floor-to-ceiling windows, heated floors, a small kitchen, a king sized bed and a queen-sized sleeper sofa. They're centrally located within walking distance of all that Egg Harbor has to offer.
NOTES ABOUT GUEST SAFETY -Each unit is professional cleaned in between each stay, following a checklist that incorporates best practices from the Center for Disease Control. -Each unit has a private entrance (no shared amenities!). -Each unit has a dedicated air handler, which circulates fresh air from outside. Each system is dedicated to one unit and does not mix air from other units. The Flats were designed by Johnsen Schmaling Architects out of Milwaukee, with the modern traveler in mind. Each 500sf flat features 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom and a full kitchen. Large windows draw your attention to your private patio. Within walking distance is all of Egg Harbor and the many great shops, restaurants and bars it has to offer. The Flats were designed to get the most out of 500sf. The bedroom features a king size bed. The bathroom has a beautiful tile shower with modern, high-end fixtures. The kitchen features an induction cooktop stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker and all of the necessary amenities to prepare a meal. The space is perfect for a couple, while the queen-sized sleeper sofa makes it an option for families with small children or four close friends!
Egg Harbor is the Door County town that currently has the most "excitement". It`s the first stop as you head up HWY 42. We`ve had lots of great dining options, including Parador, for years. 2018 was a big year that saw the opening of Hatch Distillery and the relocation of Fireside restaurant from Ellison Bay. 2019 promises to be the biggest year with the opening of the One Barrel Brewing taproom along with Wild Tomato Pizza`s third peninsula location. All of the great spots mentioned above are within walking distance of the apartment.
  • The Flats on Church Street are amazing. Great location in charming Egg Harbor. The space itself is stylish, cozy and super clean. Lots of natural light and great interior design. Communication with the hosts was excellent as well. We were very comfortable and will definitely be staying here again next time we're in Egg Harbor.

Our home is the Woodwalk Gallery property with a serene 10 acres, walking trails, a fine arts gallery and public hiking across the road. We are centrally located, right off hwy 42, and within 10 minutes of fun, dining, shopping + more in all directions. The only room available is a lower level/finished basement room with the bathroom directly up the stairs on the main level, for guest use only. Continental breakfast included. Please read The Space section for additional details.
Our home dates back to the 1890's and features much of the original woodwork. The room is cool and dry but we have noticed that people with serious allergies are sensitive to the location so if that is you, we are not a good fit. We have a lovely outdoor patio that guests can use any time of day or night. Continental breakfast is set out early for you to enjoy at your leisure and can include home made and home grown items. In addition to the walking trails on our 10 acres, a fine arts gallery and Friday night concerts, you may want to enjoy a 2-3 mile hike at the Lautenbach Preserve right across the road. You will find a mostly wooded trail, moving up and down the bluffs and even some caves. We include the additional 5.5% room tax in our rate, so no extra charges after you book!
We are "rural" but everything you could want to do, activities, dining, etc is just a short drive in any direction and we are happy to give you recommendations.

  • Such a beautiful home. Jillaine has a quick response time and works hard to make everything comfortable and wonderful. Her homemade breakfasts were out of this world. I’ve never had a quiche, homemade applesauce, and pumpkin pie taste so good. She definitely could compete on the Food Network. Thank you for everything!
