  • Mama Sue's was the perfect spot for us during our Cajun Mardi Gras adventure. It's an ideal little getaway offering everything you'll need for your stay. Would 100% stay with Susan again!

  • Great spot. Actually quite spacious.

  • Mama Sue’s guest house is one of the best AirBnbs I’ve stayed in. It’s super cosy and totally unique - we only stopped over for one night and enjoyed our stay thoroughly. The place has everything you’d need, and the use of space is spot on - even though it’s small, it feels spacious. I couldn’t recommend it more!

  • Very nice and quiet

    Mireille2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Cool little place, only a 1 minute walk from the main street in Grand Coteau. Short drive to neighboring towns of Sunset and and Arnaudville.. We loved Chickorys (great people, delicious breakfasts and coffee) and the Kitchen Store (olive oil and balsamic).. Over in Arnaudville, Little Big Cup was a cool spot to sit on the Bayou. And the beer at LA 31 is solid; the pizza spectacular- as good as almost anything In philly or new york .. Host was very communicative. And the place has everything you could need for a short stay. (We were a couple and a 2 month old; stayed 3 nights) Definitely recommended. Great value

Located on the historic main street of Carencro, this second floor loft apartment is walking distance to a po-boy & burger shop, hair salons, gift shops, pharmacy, convenience store, and St. Peter's Catholic Church. 15 minute ride to downtown Lafayette. The historic house was built in 1899 and modern upstairs apartment with 14' cathedral ceilings & lots of natural light. Includes kitchenette and extra twin size bed in the closet space. Owner lives downstairs. Street parking. On parle français.
The home was built circa 1899 by the first pharmacist in Carencro who was also the director of the Carencro brass band at the turn of the 20th century. The front of the house, although victorian, was altered in 1922 to have it's current portico. The apartment that is listed here was once the attic of this home and was converted into an apartment in the 1990s and renovated in 2017 to the clean, modern space that it is with 14' cathedral ceilings, open floor plan, and exposed beams.
The neighborhood is the historic section of Carencro. Many historic homes, churches, and store shops are in walking distance. The apartment is located across the street from Swanky's, a local po-boy and burger restaurant, that is open for lunch all days except Sunday and for dinner all evenings except Sun-tues. Also, one block away is a pharmacy, Guilbeau's, that also includes a small coffee shop in the front, just search for their hours. A walk across University Ave., next to the AutoZone, is a small neighborhood convenience store for basics.

  • This place is legitimately just like the pictures. The space is intimate and very stylish and I didn’t want to leave the loft. The air conditioner is controlled with a remote very cooling. The TV can TURN in the direction toward the bed so you can guarantee an ultimate chill zen. The host was quick with responses and very nice he let me check in early due to some issues and was ver accommodating. Overall 10/10

  • We really enjoyed our night in the tiny house. The place was so clean, and we appreciated all of the unique touches throughout the home, from the personalized sign over the fridge to the travel amenities available for us. We had no trouble using anything during our stay. Although a small space, we were very comfortable and everything felt very homey. Perfect place to relax!

    Elaine2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • Jamie was very nice over text. The place was very nice & clean. You can tell she puts lots of effort into making the house comfortable and upkept for her guest! There was plenty of room for all our stuff considered it’s a tiny house. The check in and check out went smoothly and the directions for everything was very clear with no confusion at all!! Overall it’s a very nice place and I highly recommend staying here.

    Katlynn2020-03-06T00:00:00Z

Folk Art-oriented private hideaway with gardens, a shady pecan grove and gorgeous sunsets. ★ Plenty of grocery options, restaurants and antique stores within 10 minutes. Uber & Lyft are available for those who want to live it up in Lafayette and not have to drive. ★
Cleaned and maintained with Covid-19 in mind - getaways - privacy - safety. The Folk Art Barn is at the center of Cajun and Creole culture, only minutes away from the prairie lands and bayous to the Atchafalaya basin and beyond. Why stay in a boring hotel when you can save money and experience a unique and authentic cultural environment? Don't hesitate, book now. Check ahead, because we live near the "Happiest City" in the United States - that is, Lafayette, Louisiana (for folks who haven't seen this famous study.) The Folk Art Barn is funky, elegant and spacious - the perfect place for individuals or small groups to retreat and enjoy South Louisiana. This rental is an entire house and includes 2 bedrooms, 1 and 1/2 bathrooms, kitchen, living room, and utility room with washer and dryer. During this Covid-19 time, our guests are completely independent. We welcome them and strive to make their stay and local experience memorable and comfortable. We respect their privacy, as we expect them to respect ours. The Folk Art Barn in on our Stonewood property, which is a modest agricultural plantation built in the late 1800's by one of two brothers who founded a local hospital. It was originally over 200 acres of agricultural land. Maison Stonewood was separated on 5 acres and the agricultural property was sold - but the 200 acres of agricultural land is still part of a working farm with vegetable production and cattle. All the original farm land surrounds Stonewood, protecting the rural atmosphere. The house, made of architectural stone, is set way back off the small country highway, so it is very quiet. We live in an area that is highly populated by artists and we love having many artists as neighbors. We are in the countryside of historic St. Landry Parish, Louisiana. We are the perfect outpost - a cultural crossroad - between Austin/Houston/Dallas and New Orleans. The Folk Art Barn is set way back off a small country highway and surrounded by farmland, so it is often very quiet - except for the birds, the occasional cow bellow, farm equipment . We have many artists come up from New Orleans to get away and experience rural Acadiana and its inspiring creative energy. We will let our guests express their experiences: "We have been raving about our stay since we left. They immediately gave us fantastic selections for places to go in the area. They made sure we were happy with our accommodations. They kept in contact while giving us all the privacy we needed." "Jim and Christy are the most wonderful hosts. They are truly ambassadors of the area." "Jim and Christy are warm, welcoming, and love having people over. Their house gorgeous like out of a movie." "Truly why we love airbnb. Locals who show their lives and make you a part of it. One of those never to forget travel experiences. Definitely go and get a deep dive Louisiana experience!" "We like to think Airbnb was created for these kind of accommodations. The location is wonderful but the best part is the hosts. Jim and Christy are amazing people who provide their wary travelers with everything they could hope for. We can advise you this: Go! You will forever remember the experience!" "Jim and Christy are absolute gems. As hosts, they do everything you can ask for and more - they provide you with the true South Louisiana experience. Regardless of if you're staying in the house, the barn, or the Whirlybird, you're in for a treat." "Wonderful outpost to explore the best of Cajun land, or simply rest at home and take in peace and quiet in an inspired and thoughtfully created residence." "To say that Jim and Christy are wonderful people would be an understatement. Their property is beautiful and you can tell they really care about preserving the houses and land." "Jim and Christy are at the core of the local community and are very generous in sharing their time and experiences. You really couldn't hope for better hosts!" "The house and the grounds are magical."

  • Jim and Christy have a unique place to experience. They are friendly and knowledgeable. They recommended a great restaurant about 4miles from the folk art barn (Josephine's in Sunset) that was fantastic (great food and service). We went there twice. Lots to do in the area and a peaceful place to come back to.

    Sarah2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing place, we loved it!

    Didier2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • The place is great and full of great little details that you could spend hours just finding. It’s also bigger than it looks, and the little town down the road is cute and has some nice shops. It’s like the land before walmart.

    Bennett2019-12-16T00:00:00Z
  • Peaceful, full of character, art, sweetness and warmth. Gem of gems.

    Akanksha2019-11-29T00:00:00Z

I can't wait to go back this fall with my friends to make more memories 💝

    Sheila2019-07-07T00:00:00Z
  • Jim and Chistys place was truly a work of art and love. We loved the uniqueness of the barn and the honky tonk. The honky tonk had items from our hometown and our friends hometown. It makes a small world even smaller. Plus Christy had traveled and spent time in our neck of the woods. The loft was very clean and beds were comfortable. When the coffee pot stopped working Jim saved the day by bringing us coffee. They were great host.

    Nancy2019-06-30T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful, wonderful stay!! Jim & Christy were awesome. Their place is absolutely beautiful. Loved the Folk Art Barn! I’ve never seen anything like it. The atmosphere was so much fun. Can’t wait to go back!

The Ponderosa is a unique, recently renov. 1500+ sq. ft., family cottage. Built around an early 1900s tenant house, in 1966. Downstairs: kitchen, dinning room, m. bedroom, living room, utility room, washer and dryer, half BR, and a full bathroom. Upstairs: full bathroom, a sitting room with a futon, sofa, and TV, a large bedroom with 2 twin beds, a day bed, & a pop up trundle bed. Quiet rural setting. 20 min. to Downtown Lafayette. Small, house trained non-shedding, dog ok, upon pre-approval.
Recently, we took the steps to completely renovate and remodel our cottage. We decided to share it with you. I It is tastefully furnished with many generational pieces of furniture and other items. Family members have contributed their time and talents to furnish and decorate the Ponderosa. We even have on display, a good collection of pre-1966 bottles and jars that were found under the original 12 foot by 30 foot farm house, which was the original structure. In the mid 1960s my father and grandfather built the Ponderosa, as an addition to the original farm house. The original structure served as the kitchen and storage room, until recently. The old wooden floor was removed and replaced with a concrete floor. The original walls and ceiling are now part of the existing structure. The Ponderosa has been a family gathering place for over 50 years. We hope that you consider staying at the Ponderosa! We love it, and think that you will, as well. It's in a nice quiet location. In the late afternoon, we enjoy sitting out on the rear patio, listening to the birds, and the bullfrogs in the pond. We think that you will, as well.
    Quiet rural area.
  • You can expect a cozy encounter with lush green field, beautiful flowers, and an amazing pond with a deck surrounded by a fire pit. The master suite, open concept, and living room was impeccable!

  • Tony is probably the best Airbnb host my girlfriend and I have ever encountered. Not only did he extend a warm welcome beyond his duties as a host, but also presented himself as a great friend as opposed to the property owner. The local tips on what to do were most definitely an added bonus. Anyone should feel blessed to stay on this property.

    Ruy2020-04-30T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to relax. The cabin is very convenient to the grocery and restaurants. It is unique and super cute. Tony is always quick to respond if, you need anything. This is my second visit and I'm looking forward to returning.

  • There is something rather magical about the place. Tony is great. He brought over boiled crawfish and was helpful and interesting to talk with. My friend visiting with me from New Orleans was planning her trip back before she had even left.

  • When my friend and I walked in to the cottage on Bayou Teche we were speechless. It was wonderfully simple, understated, serene, welcoming, and just so right. If you don’t like this cottage you are impossible to please. Bring your Faulkner, Welty, or O’Connor and immerse yourself in the south. But be warned, you will not want to leave.

  • Agnes' home is a wonderfully inviting space that you will love. There is plenty of space to make yourself at home in your guest accommodations. The bed is one of the most comfortable I've ever experienced in an AirBnB. She provides coffee and a mini-fridge with soda and water and access to her kitchen, if needed. If you pick Agnes' place you won't regret it!

  • First, big thanks to Amber and Matthew for a wonderful weekend trip at the Cajun Cottage. Y'all go above and beyond to provide everything a guest could need. If you have any questions before/during your stay, they always have a quick response time. Check in/check out was a breeze, and instructions for various appliances/electronics in the house made everything hassle free. They also offer many suggestions for dining opportunities and area attractions. The house looks exactly like the photos in the listing and everything is very clean. Yes, the bathroom is that gorgeous in person. And yes, the claw foot tub evokes a luxurious feeling that you must experience for yourself! Would absolutely recommend this house. Thanks again for such a relaxing weekend!

Please Note..Our bathroom is small but well equipped. Refreshment area with mini refrigerator, microwave and a coffee maker (with coffee) - it is not a full kitchen. A private back deck for a cozy hangout area. Outside grill for cooking (we do not supply charcoal or lighter). What a nice area to view a starry night in Cajun Country! Check in time: 3:00 pm Check out time: 11:00 am *****Please note that phone numbers are not available until after the booking on Airbnb. So if you send your number I cannot call you prior to the reservation.
We are in walking distance to local restaurants, The Little Big Cup, NuNu Art and Culture Center, Tom's Fiddle and Bow Shop, Vincent Darby's Art Studio, grocery stores......and post office! 1.5 miles from The BayouTeche Brewery!! They have live music every Saturday and Song Trivia (you win prizes) every Saturday evening. We are two blocks from the Bayou Teche!
  • This is a great place to stay in this area. The cabin is very small, like a tiny house, but has plenty of space for a couple or small family. It is in a residential area, so there are other homes along the road. There is no kitchen as such, but has an area with coffee pot, microwave, and toaster. There's also a mini fridge/freezer. We like going to the local supermarket, Russell's, just a few minutes away for their deli & bakery. There's an amazing restaurant, Little Big Cup also a few minutes away.

THIS HOME IS SPECIAL The Grand Victorian offers you full access to a Southern Treasure. 10 minutes from Lafayette right down the highway or 2 minutes to Historic Grand Coteau this amazing house gives you a leap back into the past. Built by the largest Sweet Potato Merchant in the South, it sat in the middle of town as a symbol of the wealth the Sweet potato brought to this small southern town. Fully modernized with modern appliances it offers you the feel of the past with all you expect today
Homes like this typically don't allow full access because they’re simply so rare so if you’re looking for something unique and not just a bed, this is a rare treat. The Grand Victorian has a total of 10 beds available. 1 in the Master, 2 twins (or 1 King with advance notice) in the Safari Room plus a futon and air mattress (if needed), 1 queen in the Cinema Room plus a futon and air mattress, plus overflow of 2 people on the couch and another air mattress for the Living Room. Beautiful Oak Wood floors throughout are from 200 yr old trees. Modernized by the current owners it includes a spa quality Master bath that holds a big Jacuzzi tub and separate multi jet shower for 2, a roomy Master bedroom with large Smart TV and Direct TV channels, the Safari Room which has two twin beds (which we can convert to a King on request) and has its own bathroom with a claw foot tub shower combo, plus a Smart tv with Direct Tv. There’s also a futon couch that can convert to more sleeping area. Then take the staircase leading to the Cinema room where we celebrate some of our favorite movies with posters and behind the scenes pics. It has a queen bed plus a futon bed and even an air mattress to sleep more. It has its own bathroom (with 2nd clawfoot tub) and its own AC and a Smart Tv DVD combo to enjoy watching your favorite movie. The home is modernized with an all stainless kitchen with fridge, Jenn-Air stove, dishwasher, and everything to give you ALL the charm and feeling of living in the past with ALL the conveniences of modern living. Enjoy the breeze in this FULLY shaded oasis as it is shielded from the southern heat by 15 large shade trees of Oak, Cypress, and Pine. The yard literally stays 10-15 degrees cooler than any surrounding areas in the summer. Relax on the front porch swing and enjoy a breeze as you sip from your Mint Julep (provided). Take a stroll down the quiet dead end street where we raised our kids. Play with the kids on the small 2 hole miniature golf course in the yard or shoot hoops on the basketball goal while you swing in a shaded hammock. Gather together with friends and family in the private back yard inside the gazebo and relax next to a fire pit. Grill up some steaks on the outdoor OR indoor Jenn-Air grill and enjoy a meal at the large 8 person dining room table or the kitchen bar. When nighttime comes, relax as you would at home in the living room or Master bedroom and access your Hulu or Netflix accounts using the Smart TVs (4) or watch DirectTV or provided DVDs from some of our favorites. A 10 minute drive gets you into Lafayette where there is always some kind of festival or event and food options are endless. From high end Cajun food like Prejeans to Cafe Josephine (Sunset's own 4 star restaurant) to the renowned LaFondas to a wide variety of sushi bars, entertainment places, and many other things to do and see the options are endless. And we even provide a handy guide listing places to go and things to do and places to eat that are unlike any other. We lived here for 20 years and love it and now we are ready to share it with the world. Book today and start making memories in this one of a kind home in an idealic quiet Cajun neighborhood. Please NOTE: We NO LONGER accept pets due to damages that were incurred. Thank you for your understanding.

  • A very stylish older home. Built in 1911, I think. Hardwood floors throughout and an interesting layout, as all rooms are connected. There are two bedrooms on the first floor. One of them has two twin beds and a futon. There is a bathroom attached. The tub is tall, so a bit of a challenge to climb into, but the shower has great water pressure. The second bedroom has a king-size bed and a large bathroom. The shower is fancy, but water pressure is low. The stairs to the second floor are a doozy. Enough to keep most of the older members of our party downstairs. There is a queen-size bed up there as well as a futon. Also a small bathroom with a tub. A cute little nook for the younger folks. The living room has plenty of comfy furniture for visiting and a nice big TV. Also a spacious kitchen and nice dining room. We loved that the house felt historic and modern at the same time. We would love to stay again for our little family get-together.

La Solange cottage is on its own private lot. Our cottage is less than 10 miles from all hospitals (perfect for traveling nurses...We have special pricing for traveling nurses!) airport, churches, shopping, and right off of I-10 and I-49, making it easy to get to wherever you want to be within minutes. Traveling without a vehicle is no issue, Uber is available. WiFi available. We have a Jacuzzi, no shower, king size bed, flat screen TV, kitchenette, sitting area and a semi-secluded balcony.
Our cottage is located on its own lot approximately 1 mile from where I live. It is just off of I-49 with easy access to restaurants and the city, but still far enough away from the city to enjoy the country feel. Smoking is allowed only on the outdoor balcony. We are perfect for traveling nurses and those for a long term stay for corporate or business.
Our cottage is located on its own private lot!
  • Adrienne and her husband were very kind to my daughter while she was briefly in Lafayette. She LOVED the cozy bed, especially the sheets, enjoyed some self-care time in the tub, and appreciated the little back porch and nearby "jungle" looking tree. I've stayed in the cottage once before and hope to take advantage of it again in the future.

Set on 2 acres of land with native trees and plants, staying with us is an authentic country experience. Sweet potato capital of the world, Sunset, Louisiana is a convenient hub to explore the Acadiana region or relax on our serene property.
The room is similar to a private, second story apartment, but without a full kitchen. It has its own exterior entrance (PLEASE MIND YOUR HEAD ON THE TREE BRANCHES), bathroom, refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot, plates and utensils. It should be noted that the single bed is a trundle bed and is low to the ground. The room receives a lot of shade from the big live oak tree that grows over it, under which you can swing in the hammock, sit on the front porch or in the garden. There is a small collection of vinyls featuring some classic Zydeco, Cajun and New Orleans musicians, as well as a few books for your pleasure. The room has a rustic/funky/southwest feel and is full of homemade or refurbished furniture. Dave is a master carpenter, so if you have any questions don't hesitate to ask. Our property is best suited for guests seeking the peace of the countryside, and a unique look at small town Louisiana life. It is also a convenient hub for exploring Acadiana: Lafayette is 20 minutes away, Mamou and Fred's Lounge is 30, Bayou Teche Brewery is 10, Opelousas is 7, historic Gran Coteau is 5, and of course Sunset is only a bike ride or short walk down the road. We have lived here our whole lives and can recommend interesting places to visit, where to eat, canoe at state parks, take scenic drives, see music (or an alligator!) and more.
As mentioned earlier, Sunset is a small town, but it is growing each year. We have a thriving arts and antique scene with shops like Bayou Some Stuff, Funky Flea and Remember When. There are a few restaurants: the very popular Cafe Josephine, the staple Little Mexico, Cajun Rizz for boiled crawfish and more and the Donut Palace. Just outside the "center" and you can visit the local grocery market or go to Subway. You can walk or ride a bike to Grand Coteau (3 miles), which is a charming town with old cajun houses, beautiful oak alleys, a cafe and a historic girls school, Sacred Heart Academy. Just a little farther and you can grab a drink or watch music at the Bike Barn, grab some boudin at Don's, or head to famous Prejean's for a seafood platter. A little further out, in Arnaudville is the Bayou Teche brewery with award winning micro-brews,tours and tastings
  • Loved it! Such a cute place! I loved the old disk player that makes this place even more cozy !

  • The room is stylishly appointed and very cozy. Nice view of the landscape from the porch. David and his wife gave great tips on things to see and do in the area. We might not have gone to the Vermilionville Living History museum if he had not recommended it. We spent the better part of a day there. Also appreciated the breakfast he provided: freshly baked nut breads and muffins with fruit juice. Highly recommend this place. There's even more to see and do in the area than we thought.

  • The Tree Room is extremely comfy and cozy! Everything you need for a short stay. David was extremely nice and helpful. They put out a bed for our dog to use, left us breakfast for the next morning, and even suggested local attractions and restaurants for us to visit! We chose to eat at Prejean’s and it did not disappoint. If you are looking to do anything in Grand Cateau, Carencro, or Lafayette, this is an amazing place to stay! And the outdoor space you have access to is absolutely beautiful as well! We plan to stay again next time we visit Sunset!

  • Great host and a great place to stay. Super kind, quick responses, very helpful, and feels alot like home.

  • Ima is AMAZING! I chose Ima's place because I could tell I would have privacy and if you read her other reviews you will understand how great she is as a host. Her little "Home Away from Home" is really that. The apartment has all that you need with a full kitchen and the bed is SO comfortable. I am originally from Houston (was a host there for 4 years) and I moved to Lafayette to be with a boyfriend but that did no work out. So I needed some time away for a few nights until I can get moved back to Houston. Knowing my difficult situation, she took me in like a Mom. I was able to even hang out with her and her friends during Mardi Gras in the main house. She is an amazing soul, she even gave me and advice, several hugs and even a box of Kleenex. Next time I need get a break, I will go back to Ima's place for sure. She even has a cute patio you can use. 5 stars. Thanks Ima!

  • Everything you need for a comfortable stay. Ima is a gracious host, gives local tips, and is quick to respond to messages.

    Kirsten2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • What a welcome!! Ima is an incredible, caring, welcoming host, available at all times! The accommodation is perfect for a small family, mattress on the floor and cot. Very clean, quiet, close to the main attractions of Lafayette by car. Everything is thought to please, small sweets through eggs and morning sandwiches fresh just for us. In short, we feel unique and at home!

    Marie2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • There is not enough great words to describe the amazing host Ms. Ima was! I stayed at her guest home for a little over a month. It was is cozy, warm, and homey. She was there to greet me on my first day and offered me meals and treats all the time. She was so caring and always checked in to see how I was doing. I was so grateful and thankful to have had a great place to stay while visiting Lafayette for school and there is no other place I’d recommend! Thanks for everything Ima and I hope the rest of your holidays are great!! -Josh

    Josh2019-11-30T00:00:00Z
  • Ima's place was so cozy. We drove in from New Orleans in a nasty rain storm and it was so nice to get there and have a washer and dryer (!) so I could dry my wet clothes. It's equipped with everything we needed and was definitely large enough to share with another couple we were traveling with, even though it's a studio. We were also traveling with our young son and there was even a crib, which was an amazing amenity for us. Ima came over and introduced herself and was the quintessential sweet cajun lady. We ended up leaving a few things when rushing out in the am and Ima was very communicative and flexible when arranging when we could retrieve them before we went back home the next day. I would definitely recommend staying with Ima!

  • My husband and I stayed here for a weekend getaway to celebrate his birthday and our anniversary. We were looking for privacy and peace and quiet. We definitely found it here! The property is beautiful. The cabin is small but has everything we needed. The beds are extremely comfortable. I was concerned about how comfortable we would be in a full sized bed since we are used to our king at home, but it was just fine. Great pillows, too. Kristen was very helpful from the very beginning, helping me make the reservation and offering her recommendation on things to do. We are already planning to come back in the spring with our 5 daughters.

Restored & updated c. 1890 Cajun/Creole Cottage on the bank of the historic Bayou Teche. In culturally rich Arnaudville LA. Original art, high ceilings, milkpaint, full kitchen. Access to major highways. Walk-able town and kayaking. Near Lafayette.
The Sunset House at Les Deux Mondes is a fully restored and modernized traditional 19th century Cajun Creole farm cottage, which was moved from 20 miles away to her current location and is now overlooking the lovely Bayou Teche. The restoration and updating respected her roots, yet has modern amenities. Sustainable techniques and materials were used when possible and practical, including traditional made-on-site milkpaint, tung oil varnished longleaf pine floors and recycled cellulose insulation. A gorgeous kitchen counter milled from a giant red oak log that was diverted from the landfill, as well as original artwork from local artists, give this house a comfortable and warm feeling. The house also features a fully equipped kitchen (new electric stove, new fridge, new blender, new microwave oven, new toaster oven, programable coffee maker, wok, etc...) ceiling fans, and a central "mini-split" unit, which provides quiet air conditioning and heating throughout the house. In the bathroom, you will also find a washing machine, an iron with an ironing board, and a hair dryer. You can relax on the porch which overlooks some edible landscaping and the beautiful Bayou Teche. This truely lovely home speaks across generations. Available locally: - Local art work, events, dance, music, potlucks, French tables, quilting, ... around the corner at the NUNU Collective - Private cooking lessons in your full kitchen available from local chefs - Private tours available to get a jump start on the local sites, scenes and culture. Child care available One kayak (for one person) is available on the premises and additional kayaks can be rented locally.
Local restaurants within very easy walking distance include the award winning Little Big Cup for fine dining and Myran's Maison De Manger for local fare as well as boiled crawfish and shrimp in season. La 31 Brewery is less than a 5 minute drive and features award winning craft beers and free live local Cajun Creole bands every Saturday. Tom's Fiddle Shop and LaPoste Cultural Gifts & Music Store (with classes) are short walks. Tom's Fiddle Shop features local musicians and out of town guests playing together the 1st Sunday of every month. The Bayou Teche is one of only 18 designated National Water Trails. Kayaks are available locally or bring your own. An swamp tour guide resides only minutes away (this tour is extremely good). Other amenities only a block from Les Deux Mondes include a a fruit and vegetable vendor, food truck, churches, and local artisans. A grocery store is a block away - purchase local ingredients and practice preparing Louisiana recipes in the full kitchen. Finding a local to assist if needed is only one conversation away.
  • This is the, I think, fourth time I’ve stayed at one of Tony’s cabins. They are so cozy and right on the bayou. The cabins are alway clean and Tony is extremely helpful and quickly responded to any questions we had. I know we will back. Thanks Tony!!

  • A great space in a quaint little town. The house worked out great & the locals were all super welcoming. We'll certainly be back, most likely this summer for a paddle trip on Bayou Teche!

  • Tony's cottages are little slices of paradise on the famous Bayou Teche. We had such an amazing time that we are already planning another trip back here. Tony was extremely nice and took personal time each day to talk to us or show us around. Great guy!

  • This place was a great place to stay at. Very clean and beautiful house. We felt a little weird due to the front windows not having curtains or blinds in them so people can see in the house but wasn’t that bad. Also a little different knowing sometimes there are people upstairs but we never got bothered and they were very nice and thoughtful. I got fast responses when I needed them. Pierce was always very helpful and nice. The bed was amazingly comfortable we slept in and slept through your alarms a few times but overall a very nice place to stay.

  • This is one of the nicest AirBnb’s we’ve ever stayed in. You will not regret your decision to book this location!

  • I would definitely recommend staying here when in town. “Home Away From Home” Absolutely Fits The Description For My Stay Here. Everything Was Clean, No Disturbances and the owners were very polite and responded to every request-& In A Timely Manner. I Give This 10 Stars‼️

  • Pierce was TERRIFIC! Would love to stay in his home again. Great communicator and super nice. Very thoughtful. King bed is awesome. BIG master bath!

  • Very big house with a huge master bedroom . Perfect for a family of 3 or 4. Very convenient location, only a few minutes to Walmart and restaurants. Pierce was very helpful and responsive to my requests. Happy Thanksgiving!

  • Sgt Pierce was an amazing host, caring, relatable and respectable. The place was beautifully furnished, spacious, and smelled like heaven. There were even fresh cookies and fruit arranged for my arrival! Will definitely be back next time in in Louisiana.

  • Pierce was an excellent host! He made sure everything was perfect before we even got there. He messaged us a couple hours before our arrival making sure the temperature was set to what we wanted. The house is in a nice, safe neighborhood. We were provided a code a day before our arrival and had no problem getting in the house. When we arrived there was deserts on the table and a fridge full of snacks and drinks when we got there. We had the privilege of meeting Pierce shortly after our arrival and he made sure we had everything that we needed. He also gave us the app login info for us to control the 1st floor thermostat You have the entire 1st floor to yourself, it’s completely private. Also the place was spotless when we got there. The living room was very comfy and the TVs in both the living room and the bedroom were great quality. Also the appliances were high quality. The bed was very comfortable, me and my wife sleep like babies. We would definitely recommend Pierces’s place to anyone who’s looking for a getaway in the Lafayette area. Me and my wife will definitely book again if we’re back in the area.

Cozy, very private 2 bedroom 1 bath home in Arnaudville with a large screened in back porch, perfect for socializing or relaxing. Charming front porch, covered parking, full laundry facilities and so much more. There is also a cabin on the property (The Cajun Cabin Guest Cottage) that is available separately which will accommodate up to 3 people.
Walking distance to The Little Big Cup restaurant, Russell’s grocery and Tom’s Fiddle Shop. It’s is about a mile and a half from Bayou Teche Brewing!
  • I chose Tracy's house because it was central to several Southern Louisiana cities that I had to bounce between, and I prefer more of a country feel but a location that still has close walking access to food/activities. This place was PERFECT. It knocked it out of the park in every category: clean, brand new appliances, thoughtful amenities, and more than you could ask for in a house at this price. Roku, board games, completely screened-in back porch, guides to local activities you name it. I stupidly could not figure out how to turn on the dryer machine and thought it was broken. It wasn't. Tracy had people come over anyways to take care of it and very nicely instructed me on what to do rather than just pointing out that I didn't know how to turn on a dryer! Also, my stay occurred during the state-wide shutdown and Tracy had the house absolutely stocked with sanitizing and cleaning supplies for me to use. Very thoughtful. I'd love to stay here again, and I hope to visit Arnaudville again when more places are open. It seems like such a great town and I really enjoyed the aesthetic of it for my temporary home.

  • Yvonne is a fantastic host--easy-going, friendly, and responds quickly. She really makes you feel welcome and at home. The location is a perfect serene spot in the country to ring in the New Year, contemplating the past and looking forward to the future, set to the soundtrack of chirping birds. It feels like you've stepped back in time on her property, which is strewn with buildings and artifacts from a bygone era. Her BNB cottage is perfectly updated, remaining true to the original and regional decor, at the same time equipped with all the modern comforts and conveniences we wanted. We had a great night's rest in her comfortable bed and cozy cottage. We'll be back for sure!

    Wendy2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Yvonne's cottage is the perfect place if you are looking for a cosy, comfortable and clean place in a peaceful area! Great location for a swamp tour and spotting local wildlife like cotton tails and even an armadillo in the garden. We enjoyed our stay very much!

    Jolien2019-11-26T00:00:00Z
  • Just the right amount of amenities to enjoy the quiet, quaint location. Bird song in the morning is the perfect back drop for coffee on the front porch. A favorite place for us to spend time and relax.

  • Great peaceful place. Very clean and comfortable. We had a very nice stay.

    Marc2019-04-14T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage is a lovely place to be in the winter! We saw a lot of wildlife and early blooming flowers all around the property. Yvonne is a great host with a lot of cool suggestions for places to visit while you stay at the cottage.

    Sean2019-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay at the cottage. It had lovely charm and was very peaceful. We loved sitting out on the porch listening to the birds and the bugs. Everything was very clean, the bed was comfy and it was a really nice extra to have the fridge already stocked with breakfast supplies. We really enjoyed the swamp tour with Butch (recommend doing the 8 am tour time before it gets too hot!) and really loved checking out the live music on Sunday afternoon at Whiskey River. Thank you Yvonne for the suggestions! What a wonderful Louisiana trip, highly recommend. Thanks again!

    Kaila2018-05-28T00:00:00Z
  • Such a great and peaceful getaway and just a wonderful place! We stayed here as a family (2 adults and one 3 years old) and it was spacious enough. The garden is huge and the cottage well equipped and nicely furnished. We would definitely come back! Thank you Yvonne!

    Isabelle2018-05-20T00:00:00Z
  • Yvonne's tiny house is small in size but offers great opportunities for calm and serenity. The site is beautiful, the typical small trailer. Ideal for exploring the surroundings and discovering deep Louisiana, its fauna, flora and above all, its inhabitants with unparalleled hospitality. Yvonne warmly welcomed us and gave us some tips to enhance our visits. We were charmed and will come again if the opportunity arises.

This is a Holistic Cabin at the LITEON Natural Health Center. The Natural Health Center is a natural and traditional wellness center that offers wellness program to restore health. Your stay will be peaceful, holistic, and a new experience in health and wellness. We are located in the heart of Carencro, Louisiana with many stores and shops just across the way.
Guests have access to our wellness center and the Holistic Cabin has a full bathroom, kitchen, and can sleep up to five guests.
We are just across from Walmart, Super One Grocery Store, Pizza Hut, McDonalds, Burger King, Taco Bell, Hardees, and multiple shopping centers. We are located just off the I-49 Exit.
  • This is a private cabin in back of the wellness center. Checkin was a breeze. Location for me(French teacher looking for French venues) is great. Tons of stores and restaurants (sushi, Italian, taco bell) Steven is very responsive. If anything is lacking he is right on it. It’s very private, clean. Great for 1 or 2 people. It was just me so I don’t if the sofas are pullouts. wifi works. Tons of parking. I had a great week in Carancro/ Lafayette. I did not take advantage of the wellness center, nor did it infringe on my privacy. Good value. Kitchen is equipped with the basics. I cooked breakfast and two dinners. Supermarket is right there.
