Annie's cottage was a delight! We loved every moment. Nestled on a quiet lot of pine trees it was our retreat after spending our days on the south haven beach. We loved the fire pit and made smores every night (Annie so graciously left us all the supplies). We danced to music on the record player and painted, knitted and read on her lovely enclosed front porch. The beds were so comfortable we all slept well. We will be coming back again. It is a special spot.

Highly recommended! My husband and I took a 48-hour getaway to catch our breath from intense work projects so this was perfect! We live in Chicago but love Michigan! Just about a two hour drive for us, it is also very close to South Haven and Saugatuck for any shopping, dining, beach or other activity you'd like. The cottage is adorable and perfect, just as described. Very clean and neat as a pin. It sits on a dead end street so it is incredibly quiet and peaceful. We brought breakfast and supper to cook and the kitchen was fully stocked with pots, pans and other amenities needed. Fire pit was used one night - we grabbed a stack of firewood from the gas station for about $5 so it was well worth it and Annie leaves supplies for smores :) there are games, movies, records and books if you need them to pass the time. This would definitely be a return location for us and we highly recommend it to others! Blessings!

Annie made sure we had everything we needed and checked in before and during our trip. Leaving for home was a breeze because Annie really takes care of everything. This cottage was everything we'd hoped for our getaway. It's location was perfect for us to visit family and friends in Kalamazoo and Holland and it was just a short trip to the beach and to the Saugatuck sand dunes. It was very clean and cozy inside and we thoroughly enjoyed the fire pit. Everything was as stated in Annie's description and there were plenty of unexpected little extras. I highly recommend this place and would come back again the next time we visit Michigan.

Charming, beautiful cottage!! Plenty of space, great little kitchen (all three of us cook.) Backyard is woodsy with deck, great place to have dinner or morning coffee, grill and fire pit. I really loved the comfy enclosed front porch with another table and a couch -- perfect for unwinding. Bedroom and couch were both comfortable for sleeping. Bathroom was clean and shower had good pressure. Annie communicated well and provided a great space. From this location we were able to drive 15 minutes to south haven (beaches, Kal-Haven trail) one of us rented a bike and rode to Kzoo, for the others we drove in 30 minutes to visit breweries. We stayed here after our wedding. It was close to our venue and provided a quiet place to relax. The cottage is super cute and just the right size for a couple. Annie was great at communicating with us and answering any questions we had. She left out s'mores ingredients for us if we wanted any. The cottage was clean and felt homey. We were very happy with our stay.

We had a lovely time! It's a cute cottage tucked away in the country. Very quite and peaceful out there. She left out smores ingredients and firewood for a campfire out back. We loved her collection of DVDs and watched a movie every night. The bed was very comfortable and she left out extra blankets and pillows for us. Overall a wonderful experience :)

The house was homey and it had a lot of great extras: trampoline and video system for the kids, a grill, a fire pit, laundry room, outdoor shower and a full kitchen, plenty of beds, clean and a lot of upgrades. The cutest most perfect little lake house! Prettiest house in the area, steps away from silver lake and about 15 mins away from South Haven. The hosts were amazing! Such nice people and very easily reachable via text once we got there. Cheri wrote up a document with ideas of what to do nearby which was so helpful! The house comes with everything you would need for a little getaway. We had an amazing time and will be back soon!

Great place to get away from the stress of everyday life. The cottage is very nicely appointed and has modern touches. The lake is about a half block from the home, and the pier and swimming dock provide a great place for kids to swim and have some simple fun. Note that the cottage is a bit out the way, so cell service is spotty, but that's okay - take some games, a book, and shut down the phones. South Haven is only about 15 minutes away, and you should definitely stop at Sherman's Dairy Bar on the way.

The house was very nice with all the essential items provided. Fun trampoline in the yard and an electronic dartboard that the kids loved inside. Nice neighborhood with a beautiful clean lake just down the road.

Only about 4-5 miles from Gingerman raceway and near a quiet and secluded beach, it was a wonderful spot for our race team to unwind and relax and prepare for the following race day. It was absolutely perfect in every way, and our hosts were really easy to work with. The cute house was clean and very comfortable and felt "like home" right away. The screened-in porch was a wonderful and peaceful place and the area secluded and quiet.

Everything about this place is amazing: the location is perfect - it feels so secluded you may think you're in the North Woods or the UP, but you're just a quick drive to the beautiful west Michigan coast, beaches, restaurants, shopping, etc. The house itself had everything we needed (and more!) and really felt like a home away from home. We loved roasting marshmallows by the fire every night, and my kids enjoyed the tire swing over the lake and the pedal boat. Brett and Sharon are wonderful hosts! We are already talking about when we will go back!!!

This cottage is a gem! Secluded back in the woods on lakefront property. Close enough to South Haven/Saugatuck/Douglas for day trips or dinner! Although once you settle in your won't want to leave!! Clear water with a great pier for fishing, sitting with a good book or watching the kids swim and swing on the tire swing. Great fire pit with enormous, comfy chairs. Paddle boat and kayak available plus many yard games!

Wonderful stay! Directionals on trees could have been a little clearer because it was so remote. Perfectly decorated, and had all the comforts of home. You cannot beat the proximity to the lake. Definitely would love to come back. Stokes blueberry farm down the street had great breakfast and it was only 2 minutes away. We also saw a ton of wildlife and it was only 15 minutes from south haven and lake Michigan.

I can't say enough about this home. Our entire family absolutely loved staying here. It was secluded, quiet and relaxing. The lake was clean and the girls loved fishing. It had everything we needed for a comfortable vacation. There is actually a little blueberry market less than 1/2 mile from the home and I picked fresh blueberries for pancakes. Literally 15 minutes from South Haven a very easy drive. I can honestly say I would recommend this home to anyone! And if I get a chance I'll be going back. :)

This is a great place! It is wonderful for groups and makes the ideal, rustic Michigan experience. It is well stocked so guests do not have to buy staples (it had S&P, dish detergent, laundry detergent, cooking oil, etc. ) We will be back!

This was the perfect place for a family weekend getaway. Anja was very easy to get a hold of both before we went and while we were there, which was really nice if we had a question about the property. Several things made our trip so enjoyable, including several toys and books for kids (our daughter is 2 1/2 so that was perfect), everything you would need for beach/water fun (lifejackets, rafts, fishing poles, camping chairs, sand toys, etc.), and a fully loaded kitchen to cook whatever you need at the house. The blueberry farm next door is amazing, very inexpensive, and the blueberries were delicious. South Haven and Saugatuck were both close enough for a day trip. There was a Walmart and Meijer about 10 minutes away, which was nice for groceries and necessities. You need to provide your own sheets, towels, hand/kitchen soap, paper towels, toilet paper, etc. We will definitely consider staying here again next summer.

We loved our stay at Anja's Lake House! It was quiet, homey, and comfortable with lots of cool, fun things to do without having to leave the house. Our 4 'kids' are all adults but enjoyed the water trampoline, slack line, kayak, etc. Grandma had a quiet space to sit and read, the dog loved the back yard, and we all enjoyed strolling through the wooded lanes nearby. The kitchen and dining area was spacious, looking out over the deck to the lake, and we had everything we needed to cook for our group of 10 people. I highly recommend Anja's place, especially if you love quiet but don't want the younger folks to be bored!

We had a such a wonderful relaxing week at Anja's Lake house. The kids absolutely loved all the activities for them to do right in the back yard and we loved the fact that we could sit and relax on the back porch and see them the whole time. We spent a perfect week here. Anja was so helpful and very responsive. The house was so clean and organized. The lake was private and peaceful with many activities for the kids. Great towns with shops beaches and restaurants were near by.

My husband, 4 year old daughter, dog and I had an amazing trip! We had a great time swimming, building sand castles and jumping on the trampoline! This lake house has a little something for everyone; the porch and deck are amazing for grilling and relaxing, the yard and trampoline are perfect for kids and the private beach is just perfect for everyone! Overall we had a pleasant few days away from the city! I would recommend this property for families with kids or anyone looking for a great weekend in the sun!

The description and photo's are very accurate and its very clean. Dixie was there in time to greet us and so helpful with anything that we needed. Two private docs and a dive platform in the lake were a hit! The shed had bikes, floats, balls, smores sticks, etc. This is a great place to take your family.

Stayed here with the in-laws for a quiet weekend away. Dixie met us there when we arrived and was very welcoming. The places is well kept, kitchen well stocked, beds comfortable and the house is very quiet. It is a duplex. So, I suppose your experience will depend on the neighbors you have during your stay. Ours were pretty quiet and respectful which made the stay that much more enjoyable. I highly recommend staying at Dutch's Place! We'll likely return at some point in the.

My boyfriend and I can't say enough good things about this place. Dixie was a great host, easy to get in touch with, and very warm and welcoming. She truly thought of everything - just bring your food and yourself! The unit itself was very clean, has incredible views of the lake, and is super close to all of the fun that South Haven has to offer. We were looking for a quiet getaway from Chicago, and this couldn't have been more perfect. We can't wait to come back soon!

Beautiful space. Nervous host, very defensive about respecting their home. Not good if you are going to treat it like a motel 6. Treat the space like your own home. Possible to turn you away at the door if they feel confused about circumstance of the stay. Be very clear with this person.

The apartment was very tastefully decorated. The view was amazing! You could see the lake out of all the windows/sliding glasses except for the back room's windows. Truly, the pictures don't do the view justice. Like everyone says, Dixie really has thought of everything; there's nothing you need to bring other than your groceries. The street was quiet. But, you can hear the bass of the saloon next door at random times at night, though. But, I'm not sure I would even have noticed it if I wasn't on the look out for it because I had read about it in a review before I headed out there. We went in early April and it snowed two of the three days we were there, but we still enjoyed ourselves a lot.

We had a great time! The house was perfect, slept all 7 of us great with extra space. There is air conditioning, but there is no cell service which was to be expected from the reviews. Everything was fully stocked with dishes, toilet paper, paper towell, towels, blankets, sheets, shampoo, conditioner, coffee pot, ect!!! 15 minutes to town and it was a straight shot there! Town was great, lake was great. Overall it was a great experience.

Beautiful home with lots of charm. Definitely a retreat from the city, but close enough to lots of things to do. We left some suggestions for the owners as far as leaving a "Things to do, or places to go" book for reference. Also a map to the Little Bear Lake so you can actually find it. We had a family of 7 staying and everyone slept comfortably. Not knowing what the bedrooms slept exactly other than the pictures, we kinda thought the sofa would turn into a bed.....however there was two air mattresses in the room with the bunk beds. This was fine for us because I convinced my 6 year old that she would have it all to herself. A recommendation was left to have a easy place to access extra linens as we spent awhile looking for them and hated feeling like we were looking through their belongings. We were aware from previous reviews that cell service was sometimes a problem. We all had Verizon which was said to be fine out there, however none of ours worked. Other than trying to find things to do and having to drive a little bit away, it was good there was no signal so we spent more time together as a family. All in all, a very nice place to stay. Very clean and comfortable. Thanks for letting us stay in your home!

Alma is very nice and it was easy to check in/out. When we arrived, the house was clean and cute. The beds, pillows and bedding were all comfortable. The bathrooms were nice and stocked with shampoo/conditioner. There's lots of parking, which was great because we had an RV and big trailer. Also, the house is only five minutes from the race track (Gingerman) which was really convenient. Our main issue was that there is no central air conditioning and the unit that's in the living room is insufficient. During the day, it was very sunny outside and the A/C unit didn't even cool off the whole living room. The bedrooms and bathrooms got no air. The house was really hot. It needs some window fans for the bedrooms at least. Also, there is no cell service and no wifi. It was scary for me because I was alone with a baby in the mornings with no way of contacting anyone in case of an emergency. It's not a big deal that there isn't wifi but I didn't expect to be in such a dead cell service zone. In our party of six, we had Sprint, AT&T and Verizon. None of those providers had service on the property. We had to walk down the road a bit to call our friends. Overall, the house met our needs for the weekend but we were very hot. We'd like to stay here again next year for another race, but there needs to be cool air in the bedrooms and wifi/cell service on the property.

The Purple Door Cottage was a wonderful place to stay for a couple days. We had seven friends stay there for a retreat in the woods, and it was perfect. Great deck in the back and we loved the kitchen. Only 15 minutes from South Haven and Lake Michigan. The phone service isn't great but it was kind of nice to be unplugged for a true getaway. I would recommend the cottage and would stay there again in the future!

We stayed at the cottage with our 3 adult children for the weekend. The cottage is 10 miles from South Haven, but it is a straight shot into town. As others have mentioned, there is no internet or phone reception, so be prepared for that. Satellite TV was spotty as well. We brought our own fans as we prepared for a very hot weekend, and were glad we did. The kitchen was wonderful to cook in, but there is only seating for 4 at the counter. Alma and her husband answered our questions and helped us to locate items in the house while we were there. They were very responsive.

Alma made multiple contacts before we arrived at her home. She inquired the reason for our stay & supplied suggestions based on our purpose. Finding the house was very easy with the cute purple sign right off the road. We had a little difficulty with the lock (not the owner's fault) and Alma's husband was immediately available to help us. The home was very clean, well kept, & welcoming. My friends & I enjoyed sitting around the island talking in the morning & winding down in the living room at the end of the day. There were plenty of towels for our group of 6 & we appreciated the kitchenware to have drinks & make breakfast. The location is not in a town but rather right off a main road. It's a quick & easy 10 minutes from South Haven & 20-25 from Saugatuck. I'd recommend it to anyone wanting to visit either place.

We had a wonderful stay at Alma's purple cottage, and would surely stay at this place in future. As listed in the description, there is no wi-fi or cell coverage, which worked very well for us. The cottage was very clean, neat and tidy. It is about 12 miles from South Haven, keep that in mind if you are planning to go back and forth into the town. I'd rate this property very highly. This cottage is a wonderful find - close enough to the beaches of South Haven and yet still very remote and completely tucked away in a beautiful, natural setting. The home is rustic, yet charming and contains everything you need for a getaway weekend immersed in nature, yet with the modern amenities you wouldn't have if you were camping (stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, great bathroom, and yes, even WiFi). The lookout has the feel of a treehouse and was perfect for resting and reading. Seriously, I don't think I've been this relaxed in ages. We came to get away and unplug and this was the perfect place to do it. Sit on the front porch and get all your entertainment from the wide variety of birds, frogs, hummingbirds, chipmunks, etc. If you love the idea of camping, but are tired of pitching a tent and sharing a community bathroom, this is the place for you. If you love a bed and breakfast, but want a little more privacy, this is the place for you. OK, I'm gushing, and I'm probably going to make it more difficult to find a free weekend for myself to return in the future by convincing you all to stay here - but you must visit this wonderful home! The cabin was wonderful. It was cozy and peaceful and had everything we needed. Roger was a great host. He as very helpful and made sure that we had everything we needed and that the snow didn't interfere with our visit. He went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and to ensure that we had a good weekend. The wood burning stove was lit when we arrived! The cabin was very private and quiet and it is in a lovely setting.

What a lovely stay in a beautiful place! Roger is a gracious and communicative host who had every small detail ready for our short honeymoon getaway. We cooked most of our food on the open fire and enjoyed the crisp fall air inside the main cabin, on walks through the property, and while reading books in the treehouse. The sweet kitchen is well-stocked with everything we needed and more! We loved feeding and watching the birds, sitting by the large pond, and riding the bikes 26 miles round trip down the trail to Lake Michigan and back. Our only regret is not being able to stay longer! Thank you, Roger!

Roger's Cabin is amazing! I would suggest it to anyone looking for true beauty in nature. You will see flowers, ponds, trails, various animals, and overall an immaculate landscape. Our weekend was an average of 90 degree weather and the cabin stayed cool and comfortable for late night games and sleeping. My party and I had a blast and many unforgettable memories were made. The land is so beautiful, I chose it as the location to ask my fiance to marry me! Roger was very helpful and even assisted in planning the big moment. I will definitely be revisiting for a future anniversary.

What a peaceful and fun trip! Our family had a blast! We had a wonderful time boating, searching for frogs and going on a long nature walk. Jeff and Ginger made us feel very welcome and even had a welcome sign and treats when we arrived. The cottage was very clean and well taken care of. We had absolutely everything we need. Jeff and Ginger also gave us a list of recommend restaurants that was very helpful. We had a fanstic trip and made some wonderful memories with our family.

Rented this home for a 30th birthday with a small group of friends! It couldn't have been better! There are a few man powered boats that we took to a small sandbar to swim, cooked there every night and had an Amazing bonfire! This is just what we were looking for! Jeff is a great host, has everything at the cabin you could think of and even made awesome welcome signs so we wouldn't miss our turn! He made us feel right at home and so special! Already talking about going back next year!

Five enthusiastic stars! My husband, my two young daughters and I spent a month at this lovely cottage on Lake Eleven. We enjoyed every moment and hope to return in the future. The view of the lake and the backyard willow tree is breathtaking and in full view from the living room windows and porch. There is a stand of trees and undeveloped woods next door that adds to the charm and privacy of the cottage. The back lawn sits right on the lake and is large enough for a soccer match and a round of croquette. There is also a delightful frog pond, complete with a couple nets and buckets, and a great big fire pit circled by large tree stumps for sitting and roasting marshmallows. The fire pit is fully stocked with wood too. We used the charcoal grill on the big back porch and ate outdoors many nights, and we even pitched a tent to sleep out and watch the meteor shower in the clear, starry sky above. Jeff and Ginger were tremendous hosts; they live next door and were super responsive to every little question we had throughout the month while being respectful of our privacy. They are genuine and generous people. They made everything you could want in a lake house available for our use—from bikes to fishing rods, from lifejackets to the paddle boat and canoe, from Scrabble to cards and puzzles. They filled the bathroom with toiletries and soap, sent over coffee one day, and dropped off a new frying pan and Wifi Boze speaker for the house. They clearly care about the property and are making small improvements to the cottage all the time. The house has a nice layout with an open living room/kitchen plan and bedrooms on opposite sides of the cottage. Each bedroom has a fan. The closets and dressers are empty and ready for clothes. The kitchen items are well-organized and easy to find. There is a family of swans living on the lake that visit for breadcrumbs now and again and are beautiful to watch swim and preen. Also, there is an idyllic sandbar—great for swimming with little ones!—just a stone's thrown away and accessible by canoe. We hosted family and friends a few times, and everyone was as enchanted as we were by this little slice of heaven on Lake Eleven!

We definitely recommend staying at Martin's trailer! We had such an amazing time. It is located on 40 acres and surrounded by trees, very private. We loved being able to shut our phones off for a few days and enjoy some peace, quiet, and nature. The trailer has ample space for sleeping and supplies storage, and there is an outdoor table and fire pit with plenty of wood. We truly enjoyed getting back to nature and experiencing the rustic life for a few days. We plan to return!

Jodi's place was very spacious and had a great view of the lake. No wifi or TV which came as a much needed break from it all for our family! They were working on upgrading the dock area by bringing in sand which I'm sure will be great for future visitors. The home was about 25 minutes from South Haven so we went there quite a few times to go to the beach and have a few meals out. Not much around the house itself, but if you are looking for a quiet getaway this is just the place.

Jodi was a great host, with every accessible and stated in the description. There was even the added bonus of fishing poles and a row boat. The kitchen was stocked with the necessary supplies, but the fridge empty- make sure to remember condiments at the grocery store! The house and lake are beautiful and it was a wonderful weekend.

What an amazing weekend we had here!! Beautiful home, plenty of space and the nicest owners!! They made sure we had everything we needed; the house was fully stocked. The paddle boat and row boat were so much fun and the location was perfect. Would definitely come back!

Jodi was lovely; inviting, responsive, and accommodating. We needed just a few things at the beginning of our stay and Jodi and her husband Luke took action right away. The house is out in the "boonies," as Jodi said. South Haven is close, as is Kalamazoo. But this is a great place to get away from things - including internet, TV, and phone (reception is spotty, Verizon works a little better than AT&T). There are maybe 7 neighboring houses on a small strip of the lake near Jodi's place. We used the provided paddle boat, board games, and fire pit. The kitchen is stocked with anything you might need. In response to her first guest's comment on the water, Jodi provided a Brita, a jug of water from the store, and bottled water. I didn't think it was terrible, but she did accommodate. Thanks, Jodi!

This home exceeded any pictures that are posted online - everything was in immaculate condition and the overall decor of the house was very cozy yet contemporary. The appliances are new, rooms are spacious and the grounds of the home are perfect for both winter and summer months. My group thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this home, and with the guidance of Mike's suggestions, were able to explore in and around the city of Saugatuck and have a wonderful day out! I would highly recommend this stay!

This was a great house! We had a group of 8 (4 couples) and it was perfect for a weekend getaway. Very clean and had all the amenities we needed. We would definitely return!

We were very pleased with our stay at the Pullman house. It's just a short 20 minute drive to the South Haven/beach area. The actual house was very comfy inside. Everything was clean, the furniture and kitchenware were in great shape, and it was roomy for our party of 8 adults, 2 kids, and our dog. We will definitely consider renting again in the future.

Very nice and clean house. Great covered deck and nice front porch with a swinging bench. Comfortable stay for 2 families with kids. Nicely located between South Haven and Saugatuck. Owner was great at communicating during the whole process. Well water smell was a bit strong. Probably the only drawback.

Our group of nine friends had a wonderful stay over the Christmas holiday weekend. The house was spacious enough for all of us, yet felt very inviting and cozy. The bedrooms, kitchen and bathrooms were well-appointed and extremely clean. The board games that were left in the laundry area kept us entertained for many hours and despite the cold weather, we made use of the firepit one afternoon. We also visited Saugatuck Brewing Company for lunch and a tour - it was only about a 15 minute drive from the house. Mike was a great host and provided all the information that we needed for our stay. Overall, we had a fantastic, relaxing getaway from Chicago and would definitely recommend this house to others!

This cottage was prefect for a weekend getaway from big cities. It was quiet, and had all the recreational facilities such as fishing, kayaking, canoeing, Bon fires, and swimming. And the sunset and sunrises were magnificent. The host were very friendly and the house was very clean.

Nice building and clean. Nice location to use to go check out the different breweries, cideries, farms, wineries, etc. in the area.

Four of us slept comfortably, and Doug was really great with communication prior to or arrival. We really enjoyed using the fireplace and of course the proximity to the lake.

Our cabin was a great alternative to the expensive hotels in the area. Fun to be at the beach one minute, then have a camping experience the next. Friendly owners, clean accommodations. Will certainly go back again.

This was our second stay and it was perfect - again! Perfectly located on the KalHaven trail, a short ride to SoHa or the other way for blueberry pancakes ... yum. A very unique setup and very reasonable! We took our daughter and Grandsons the first time, just the two of us the second. There will be a third time, maybe our whole family group, renting all the cabins so each family has privacy but we can explore Saugutuck and South Haven together.

The cabins at the Outpost are perfect for those who love camping but the luxury of a normal bed as well. We stayed here for 3 nights with our daughters (aged 7 and 5). They loved to climb trees and build a hut in the woods behind our cabin. Rob and his wife are very nice and helpful. When I was cold they even washed one of their private blankets for my comfort. The cabin was clean and the bedlinnen soft. We also rented bikes to ride the Kal-Haven trail which were brought straight to our cabin. The Outpost is close to a blue berry picking farm and South Havens city centre and beach are not to far out. We absolutely recommend a stay here.

Love love love these cabins! The cabins and bathrooms/showers were so clean and comfortable. I love the location of the cabins as well. We felt secluded but we were still close to the downtown area. Really appreciated the complimentary coffee at the Outpost (front office) every morning. Driving only took 10 minutes but I would highly recommend asking the host to reserve bikes from Rock and Road and hop on the Kal Haven Trail which is right next to the cabin's property. Biking downtown on the trail was so refreshing and easy! It made for a perfect active day biking downtown and then hanging out on the beach. Definitely spend your trip here!

We loved the cabins! They were clean, beautiful, and perfect for our family of 6! Next time we'll stay longer! Only downside is the bathrooms are a bit far, but still worth it.

Beautiful rustic cabins with a loft! There's free coffee in the store on the property. Bring your own sheets as they are not included in the price of the room. 5-10 minute drive to the beaches of South Haven.

A great Airbnb experience!

I booked the cottage for a last minute weekend with my mom and sister. The place couldn't be cleaner or more perfect for a relaxing stay on the lake. The hosts were amazing, responsive, helpful and respectful of our privacy. We had a little trouble gaining access to the cottage but they responded immediately to help us out and even extended checkout as a kind gesture. The neighborhood the cottage is in is very depressed, but quiet and all of the neighbors seem to be kind. It's a quick drive to Saugatuck and South Haven. A very charming place. I highly recommend it.

Jimmy was an excellent host. He quickly answered any questions we had prior to booking and also once we arrived. The house is on a lovely quiet clean lake with a dock. We traveled with 4 teenagers. The house had 2 kayaks and we rented an assortment of additional water toys from South Haven Aqua Toys and the kids spent most of the days in the water. Close to winery's and Dutch Farms for homemade pies and doughnuts. Stop in South Haven for any large grocery shopping needs. Looking forward to going back next summer.

If you're looking for a secluded getaway, this is a great location with close driving range to the beach. Jimmy was a really great host and he made it super easy and checked in with us during our stay.

Great spot for a getaway from Chicago. Definitely use Jimmy's directions to find the place. The house was clean and had everything we needed for the weekend but some candles may be nice to help offset the smells that can come with a lake house!

Very sweet place. Jimmy answered our questions immediately because I forgot some information, he was super accommodating. The house was clean and very comfortable and spacious. We used the kayaks, the grill and loved the lake- it was clear. We fished, kayaked and swam. The cleaning fee was a bit high, but our stay was wonderful. I'd love to return.

We had a wonderful time. We were pleasantly surprised to find kayaks available for our use. The only thing I would recommend would be to either recommend to guests they bring their own towels or supply more. Thank you for a great stay!

A peaceful lake house tucked into the woods. Plenty of room to spread out inside with a picture window to enjoy the view. We enjoyed kayaking, biking the Kal Haven trail, and visiting nearby beaches.

Quiet serene lake front property. Was a great location for post racing rest after big days at Gingerman Raceway. We didn't spend much time at the house, but appreciated having a grill and deck for group entertaining.

Sweet house, plenty big enough for seven of us which was wonderful. One bathroom took a little planning but worked out. Being right on the lake was so nice, having a fire pit where we could sit out at night and enjoy the cool night air and look at the water was extra special. We would definitely stay here again. Great little cottage. Extremely peaceful and tranquil. Great owner who communicates extremely well, and is very responsive to whatever your needs are. Wifi a big plus, especially if you have kids or need to stay connected to the world. The back deck is beautiful - opens right out to the lake with a beautiful view. Fantastic place to have your morning coffee! Good quality beds and a quiet neighborhood make for a fantastic night's sleep. Perfect for a small family.

Although the weather did not end up what we wanted the view from the cottage did not disappoint. The swans on the lake were beautiful! Cozy and friend kid friendly but also great the night it was just my husband and I. Great fishing! Truly enjoyed our stay! Good communication from host. Thank you Herrington Cottage!

The deck was great and afforded a beautiful view of the quiet lake. Very relaxing. The property was beautiful and the trees provided great shade. The cottage is comfortable but could use a couple of oscillating fans especially for the small bedroom. If it was my cottage I would get rid of the carpeting and replace it with laminate wood-like floors. (We renters have a tendency to spill coffee, tea, etc.) Communication was good.
