I am an Airbnb host and often lend a critical eye to places I stay and not only could I not find any drawbacks, I took notes about all the amazing things in the apartment! Linen sheets! Danish modern-hygge inspired AMAZING decor! White glove clean! Everything you could possibly want, it was perfect for a girl's weekend. The location is fantastic and we walked to dinner and breakfast. We left already planning our next trip back.

If you like the pictures you see on Air BNB then you'll absolutely fall in love when you book and see for yourself in person! Eric and I were obsessed with the Midcentury Modern furnishings to the beautiful set up of the bathroom, bedroom, and kitchen. We will definitely be back!

Unbeatable location-walk anywhere in town! Space is just beautiful and kept me apart from an insane hockey weekend at all the hotels!

Apartment is spotless and modern. Loved the interior decor with a stylish bathroom and kitchen. Check in was simple and Ashley was quick to respond to questions. Location is perfect for someone visiting for a ski weekend. The apartment is located in the upstairs section of where Ashley lives. No issues were found and privacy was respected!

Stylish, cosy, and comfortable! The compact kitchen is great, with a coffee maker, fridge and microwave. Great dinner choices just a short walk away. We love how close Go-Cottage is to all the winter activities! A great stay for us!

This was our first time to Lake Placid and Sharon's studio cottage was the perfect place for us and our pups! The cottage was in a great location, easily accessible, clean, private and cozy. We would definitely stay here again!

The cottage was a great location, quaint with all you need, and a fenced in yard for the pups to play carefree. We had a great time!

Comfortable and cozy little cottage getaway. Fenced in yard was a huge plus since we had our pup with us this stay. The cottage is in a fantastic location close to everything. Henry Woods is a great trail less than a 10 minute drive away, was perfect to take the dog to for exercise with a view. We had an excellent time and would stay here again.

The Go-Cottage is a great space for any couple looking to get away and spend time in Lake Placid and the surrounding area! It’s pretty close to the Main Street. We drove because the weather was a little cold and rainy, but in nice weather it would be an easy walk!

Traveled with my 7 month old and the baby toys in the house were an added bonus and a great accommodation while we were away from home! We also enjoyed that the house was stocked with tea. Well located and comfortable in a very quiet location. Birsen is a great with communication, and was very gracious when I needed to change reservations by one day in order to attend my granddaughter’s school play. Kitchen is well stocked with utensils, pots & pans, etc. We would stay with her again!

My fiance and I just wrapped up a week at Birsen's cottage. We had a wonderful stay and we would highly recommend this home for your Lake Placid adventure jumping off point. The home was amazingly clean and incredibly well cared for. We are avid hikers, so we spent the week hiking during the day and relaxing in the home at night. The bed was very comfortable and the heating adjustable for all rooms. The shower water was instantly hot, the kitchen had all the cookware you could need for meal preparation and the TV had Netflix and Amazon prime access and more. The street the cottage is located on was peaceful and quiet but close enough to the corner store for a very short walk when we needed something. Birsen was quick to reply with answers to my questions too. We left the middle of a snowstorm yesterday wishing we could have stayed a few more days to enjoy the winter wonderland. Thank you for an amazing stay!

Easy check in, great location

This is a beautiful and cozy house only a few blocks from down town lake placid. The bedrooms were very nice and there was a large comfortable living room with a TV that had Netflix and Hulu and Amazon prime and probably whatever else you could want. There were board games in the coffee table and a plenty of tea and coffee for the Keurig. The bathrooms were spotless and the towels clean and fluffy. Everything was better than we hoped. I highly recommend this place.

Seamless stay! John is extremely responsive. His detailed instructions tell you everything you need to know. The house is clean and cozy, and location is a ten minute walk from the main strip. Will be back!

Recommend to anyone who wants to experience Lake Placid!

We had a great stay here. Location was convenient to everything and the apartment was perfect for our stay.

(This review is for the bottom floor). This is an older but renovated home right in the heart of Lake Placid. It's less than a mile from everything you'd like to see in the town, and 15 minutes from Whiteface. Our family of 2 adults and three younger kids stated here to ski and sightsee. The house is well maintained with a minimalist decor; everything is neat, attractive and clean. The house really retains moisture in the air, so it might benefit from a dehumidifier. The flat screen TV and good wifi was a bonus, bring your own Roku to attach! Bed linens are lovely, the bed mattresses are on the very soft side. You really can hear everyone walking around upstairs, and the bunk bed squeaks a lot, so bring a white noise maker if you are a light sleeper :-) There are lots of kitchen utensils and pots and pans, but the fridge is 100% empty so be sure to BYO ketchup 😁 We really loved the convenience being so close to everything and really appreciated the host's quick responses. Thanks!

Lots of space for our group of 3. Large kitchen with ample appliances made cooking a breeze. Cozy, cottage feeling made us feel quite at home. Would love to come back in the future!

Perfect accommodations! The property was extremely clean, well cared for and comfortable. Plenty of linens, towels and pillows available. We arrived during a massive snowstorm and the driveway and entrance were shoveled. The house was very conveniently located to everything Lake Placid has to offer! The apartment is as advertised. The accommodations are exceptionally clean and everything you need for your stay is there. Catherine answers any questions you have very quickly! It is located between the downtown and the venues, it is an excellent location!

Exactly as described, great value, very close to activities downtown Lake placid. Catherine was gracious and accommodating when we accidentally overstayed our welcome past checkout (our mistake!) and then offered to help us find another place to stay for the night. Highly recommend.

Catherine's home was everything we asked for and more! The home was cozy, with plenty of space for the 6 of us. The home was steps away from town and about 15 mins to Whiteface Mountain. This is a shared home, with another group upstairs, but we had no issues with the other group, and the noise was kept to a minimum. We will definitely be coming back soon!

We had a wonderful stay in Lake Placid at this home! The location to town was perfect and allowed us to get outside to enjoy some of the winter times peacefulness. The space was perfect size for the two of us. All amenities were provided and well thought out. The home provided the tranquillity we needed. We will definitely be back to enjoy this space!

Cozy and warm stay at Delina’s sweet guest apartment. Stayed with my parents and husband over Thanksgiving weekend. Apartment was clean and well laid out, perfect arrangement for a weekend with your in-laws. Kitchen was well stocked and comfortable to watch movies! Would recommend for anyone looking for a getaway. Too cold for much activity but the apartment is walking distance to shops and great restaurants!

Absolutely amazing space, location, and host. Margarete was very quick to respond and ensured we knew exactly how to get into the apartment and how to reach out to her. Upon our arrival, there was a lot of snow in the town and when we drove up to the apartment, the entire driveway was shoveled and Margarete even shoveled a path leading to the stairs and salted the ice on the stairway. The interior is absolutely beautiful and was so incredibly clean. There is a liquor store, market, plenty of awesome restaurants, and Lake Placid itself all just a stones throw away. Totally would stay here again.

This is our third time staying at Margarete’s place and we absolutely love it. It’s a short walk into town and also a short walk or drive to many local attractions . We highly recommend staying here!

Great location - pleasurable walk to the Main street, passing Oval rink, very cozy apartment, perfectly clean, nicely decorated and comfortable. Had everything we needed for our short vacation in Lake Placid. The apartment was clean, cute and cozy, great for a couple or small family. Loved the location and the sunroom with view. Great artwork, and the walkways were kept cleared and salted (great for a klutz like me🤣). We had a small issue with the refrigerator, but we recieved a quick response from Margarete, and her and her sweet father fixed the situation very quickly.

This was the cutest and and coziest place to spend a few days here in Lake Placid! My boyfriend and I got to explore all of the Olympic Sites, ventured downtown many days, and even got to experience bobsledding! The shops and restaurants (Lisa G's and Dancing Bears) of Lake Placid are fantastic - such an amazing town! Downtown is so quaint and full of things to do at this time of the year - we will definitely be back and hope to stay here again as it is in a fantastic location. Overall, a fabulous trip with a lifetime of memories!

If you plan on skiing whiteface,visiting downtown or just hanging out this is the perfect spot . super clean house with unique artwork. Convenient to breweries,great restaurants(smoke signals) for bbq, and shops. will be returning

We rent the apartment for hiking, the location is ideal (near high peaks + downtown). The article represents the apart. it's small, not very luxurious, but very clean and the beds confo. I made the suggestion to the owner. the addition of a tablet in the kitchen and a toaster. The value is interesting

Awesome spot, well within walking distance of all of main street on a quiet side street. Street and driveway parking available. Hosts were friendly and always responded quickly. They made our stay very comfortable. Apartment while a little tight, is cozy with no issues with anything. Great hot water, and plenty of extra blankets available.

Miner’s place is the perfect walking distance to downtown lake placid! It also was very clean and inviting. Would definitely stay here again!

Al's place was excellent - the location can't be beat, it's mere steps from the Olympic center and all the downtown shops and restaurants. We had an event at the Arena, but this would also be a great location for the Ironman or any other Lake Placid events. The temperature control was very effective which is important for a spot like Lake Placid. The towels and linens were nice quality and while the kitchen is not a gigantic space, it had everything we needed to make our own food (which is important when you're competing and need to be conscious of your nutrition). Would love to stay here again.

Tom’s place is clean and super convenient to downtown Lake Placid. We loved the view of Whiteface and quiet location. We appreciated the water bottles in the fridge and all basic necessities that were available. I would definitely stay there again.

Tom's place was in a perfect location, a 2 min walk to the main strip. The place was very clean and had a lot of character!

Our group stayed at park place cottage for a long ski weekend and couldn’t be more impressed with the location, service, and home. Check in/out was a breeze, and Tom was right there to offer a recommendation or advice. The cottage sits back on an open park, so your views are not of other neighbors but of a nice little clearing, which seems like a rarity this close to town. Walking to downtown was super convenient; about a two minute walk. The home was clean, and well decorated. The craftsmanship in and around Tom’s property was also special. Very nice woodwork throughout, which really makes you feel like you’re at a mountain home. Overall, the perfect lake placid experience if you’re looking for the charm of staying in the village.

We had the most amazing time. The house is beautiful and spotless with cozy comfy feel. Sitting in the hot tub in the snowy woods was exactly what we wanted for our relaxing weekend away. The house gives you feeling of reclusive wilderness but are a few miles away from all the fancy hub bub of Lake Placid. This house is a must for anyone who wants a cozy relaxing Lake Placid trip.

Great house! It is in a quiet area with a beautiful deck and hot tub. House is spacious with the living area upstairs and the sleeping areas downstairs. A car or Uber is needed to get to the main area of town but a few popular restaurants ~12 minutes walk from the house. Wonderful escape from busy city life, would love to return!

The Crow's Nest was a fantastic spot and very close to town with all the activities closeby.

The crows nest is a great Adirondack value, everything you need for a comfortable stay and minutes away from Main Street. A++

My fiance and I joined two of our friends for a four night stay at the Crows Nest this week. Our friends had never been to the Adirondacks, so Michael's place was a perfect jumping off point for both high peak hiking and local tourism. The house was tucked away in a hill so there was great privacy and the view of the surrounding mountains was a soulful welcome. The house was lit for our arrival and warm and the driveway had been plowed and the entrance shoveled, which was so nice. The beds were incredibly comfortable and the bathrooms well stocked and clean. It snowed Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday for our stay which was wonderful. And after two days of hiking the hot tub in the evening under a snow filled sky was amazing. Michael was very responsive to questions and the Crows Nest was hands down one of the best houses we've stayed at in the area. Celebrating our engagement with our recently married friends was such a positive experience and we are so grateful that Michael's place will now be apart of our story. We hope to be back!

A lovely home! Worked very well for our stay in Lake Placid. Had everything we needed in the kitchen, for laundry, even games, wifi, and online streaming. Easy check-in, sparking clean, easy check-out. Highly recommend this modern home in the Adirondacks.

The Artists Apartment was clean and cozy. The decor was warm and inviting. The beds were very comfy. It would be great for a family get away with the three bedrooms. There is a kitchen with a full size refrigerator for food which made it helpful to pack lunches and eat daily breakfast before heading out. It is easy to find and close to all the attractions. I would definitely stay here again!

Catherine's place is very charming and cosy. We had wonderful time staying there 2 nights after New Years. It was clean, conveniently located. 10-15 minutes drive or 30 min walk to town. Kitchen had everything we needed and more for cooking. We had pleasure meeting Catherine in person when checking in. She was super friendly and welcoming. Would definitely stay here again :)

Our stay at Birchside was great! Our group of 8 stayed there Feb 7-9th. Drove up in a horrendous blizzard but they made sure the driveway was as cleaned out as possible. They kept in touch with us and made sure we were ok and had what we needed. The location is great near the trolley and close to the ski jump and bobsled. The corner store was awesome! We had everything we needed and thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Outstanding welcome, excellent communication and the house had everything we could even cook good steak on the BBQ, it was perfect !! Very nice trip. Also after the snow Randy came immediately to clear the snow.

If you're booking a stay in Lake Placid for a large group or even just an intimate gathering, look no further. BirchSide was a wonderful space to stay in and quite honestly, I can't imagine any better place in the area. It has a well stocked kitchen of anything you'd need to cook with; a table that could fit a large group; books that have information on hikes and other activities in the area; board games, and a smart TV. And most importantly, it was clean and well laid out. We had a group of 6 people coming from various places and it was easy for all of us to find and then unwind in after both long drives/a day out doing various outdoor winter activities. It was both spacious enough for all of us to have our own space, but also allowed for us to sit together and play board games at the table and later word games in the living room. If cooking for yourself is important, the kitchen is immaculate and has everything you need to start a meal. Since we were a group of foodies and people who love to cook, we were initially concerned about what we'd find, especially since we were going to cook all our meals at the house. But our worries were assuaged upon arrival. And on top of that, they have garbage, recycling, AND composting - which is a plus in our book. And finally, I need to rave about the hosts Lisa and Randy. First and foremost, our sweet tooths and fatigue were immediately taken care of by the lovely muffins waiting for us on the table when we arrived. Our guest numbers were in flux until the last possible moment, but Lisa and Randy were ever accommodating with our needs. They responded very quickly to every question and concern I had via both airbnb and later text message. They have a binder full of every question you will ever have about Lake Placid. BirchSide is tended to with love and care and that definitely comes Lisa and Randy. I will 100% book another stay here for our next trip in the area. And next time, we'll bring our dog (because yes, they allow dogs - like I said, this place is amazing).

Lisa and Randy were incredibly accommodating calling us to check in and even making muffins for when we got in. They made it a point to text and call to make sure we had everything we needed the weekend we were there. For people planning to walk to the main strip in town be prepared for a bit of a hike, especially in the snow.

Very happy with our stay at Lisa & Randy’s home! The place was extremely clean and tidy, very cozy with thoughtful touches like suggestions on restaurants, a map of the area and written house rules. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen came with anything we needed. We enjoyed the second level porch in the evening and the homes proximity to town. Drive into town was less than 5 mins. All the amenities you need and more for a stay to enjoy the area with friends/family for a reasonable value. We hope to return next year!!

The location of this property is unbeatable. It was very spacious and could accommodate a large group of people. I especially liked the fact that from the time I booked the property, I was sent reminders. I would highly recommend it to everyone and hope to stay there again myself.

I never met Jennifer but I had a good stay and she made sure I had all the details of the place I needed. It is just as advertised. I stayed here in between my shift for work. It was fairly quiet but the room I was in was near\beside the stairs if your a light sleeper this may bother you, also since the upstairs entrance to the dorm is above you. I did not have much issues since I’m not a light sleeper but some may. Bathrooms are shared but there is 4 separate bathroom/showers that can be locked. Make sure you bring your own towels, linens, blankets etc. There was a pillow and pillow case and the room was clean and the bathroom were also very clean as well. There is some linens and blankets available. The temperature can be adjusted in the rooms. The bed wes comfortable and the layouts are well throughout.

The bedroom and bathroom were all that we required. The best part was the ability to ski right out the back door on very nice well groomed trails. We had a great time.

This place continues to please. I stayed for a second time there this week and I'm so impressed with the way this facility is run. The only thing that I think could use some extra TLC is some more thought to the common area, like some lamps and extra accessories where the water dispenser is. But, for the fact that you get a nice, quiet, private large accommodation at this price, I couldn't recommend it more. A PERFECT choice if you are coming to the area and spending a lot of time outside during the day and just need a place to crash. Better than a hostel and cheaper than a hotel.

This is the perfect place to stay if you're a group of hikers, skiers, or climbers looking to explore the area! While the hostel itself is in the basement of a nordic ski center, it's also a short drive away from many different trailheads and the town of Lake Placid. Check-in was incredibly easy and the common area upstairs is a really nice touch. Would definitely come here again!

Great place for the value.

It’s no frills. When all you want to do is grab a quick nights sleep before getting out early on a long hike, snowshoe or cross country ski… this is the place. You can expect a bed, then shared facilities like multiple bathrooms, multiple showers, and a common room with a drink cooler, toaster, couch, tv, and WiFi. You’re in ADKs, so don’t expect cell service. If you’re looking for a motel, hotel, resort, amenities... like a coffee maker, etc. you’ll have to keep looking. It’s a convenient location. Very close to ADK Lodge, eight minute drive to Lake Placid.

Excellent hostel for hikers and travelers in the region!

This gorgeous apartment is a vacation in itself. The bathroom rivals the Four Seasons NY and my, gosh! Location, Location, Location! French doors lead to the lake and the King size bed is amazing. Everything you could need is on Main Street, but you may find yourself never leaving home. That’s what it feels like. Home. ❤️

Cozy apartment right on Mirror Lake. My husband and I spent two nights. The apartment was clean, the shower was amazing. You can walk right out the back door to the lake. It was also right on the main strip with bars, restaurants, and shops. We loved that you could just walk on the frozen lake. We walked to the toboggan chute at night. It was an awesome stay. Hopefully we’ll be back.

Excellent location! Quick drive to Whiteface mountain. There’s private lake access with beautiful views of the sunrise & sunset. Stayed with my boyfriend and we loved it. We definitely recommend staying here.

Amazing place right in the heart of the town, backing on to a beautiful view of the lake. Bathroom is amazing with heated floors, and bed is super comfortable. Incredibly more comfortable than a hotel room!

This place was perfect! We loved everything about it. The location was amazing, right on Main Street but also right out back was mirror lake. It was spotlessly clean and the lay out was great. We loved everything about the bathroom - tub, shower, heated floors, two sinks. The bed was super comfortable. Kitchen was stocked with everything we needed including a keurig with coffee. Angela was a great host and answered all of our questions quickly. We had a wonderful relaxing time and would love to stay again.

Great location and space. Sonny's hospitality was amazing! He was quick to respond when I had to contact him. Unfortunately, when we arrived, we both came down with a stomach bug and Sonny was so kind to bring us extra items that I requested along with Ginger Ale. I would highly recommend this place.

We enjoyed our stay here, excellent location beside a bar & grill that’s open beyond midnight and Stewart’s (convenience store), Mirror Lake and Main Street (stores & restaurants). The Adirondack Trailways bus stop is just a block away. There’s also a 10-minute walk shuttle stop for Whiteface Mountain and Saranac Lake. It’s a ground floor one-bedroom unit that’s adequate for 2-3 people; larger kitchen and bathroom vs other AirBNB’s we’ve stayed in before. Great communication from Sonny too. We would definitely stay here again.

The condo is very homey and nice, the beds were very comfortable, and the kitchen well organized. Everything was very clean! It was nice having the Keurig coffee maker there for our mornings. We only stayed two nights and were in town for work, but I would absolutely come back with my family and stay!

We went for a girls ski weekend and had such a nice stay at Angela's. The town-home is super quiet, clean, well stocked and very comfortable. We walked to dinner both nights and found the location to be perfect for our needs. Highly recommend.

Angela's townhouse is very clean, stylish, and full of everything you need. Soap, paper products, everything! The linens on the bed were fantastic and the matress was very comfortable!! Soft, warm alpaca throws were everywhere.

Deborah's place is very cozy and located conveniently close to Main St in Lake Placid. We could have easily walked to Main St in nicer weather. The apartment had many nice amenities in the kitchen if we had been inclined to do any cooking. The bed was comfortable and the linens were all very nice. Deborah greeted us and gave us a tour when we arrived and checked in with us the next day to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Would definitely book again!

Deborah's place was just what we were looking for our weekend away. Less than 20 minutes from Whiteface and very close to downtown - within walking distance but it was too cold and snowy for that! Private entrance and quiet space.

Well supplied kitchen and very comfortable space. Didn’t lack anything. Easy and short walk to town. Great value!

The B&B is just as described. It's quiet and cozy, and the hosts were very easy to communicate with both before and during our stay. We found our room to be comfortable and of course we always love spending time in Lake Placid!

LIsa and Randy were wonderful hosts. The Winterberry was an idyllic place to stay. Our room, the Olympic, was perfect for our stay. Warm, comfortable and clean. We particularly enjoyed late evenings downstairs in front of the fire. Comfortably located just outside of town but close enough for convenience!

We only met randy and he was super friendly. The house is a very good place to stay, very clean and comfortable and the breakfast is great to start the day.

Beautiful BnB, clean, close to town, but far enough to have peace and quiet. Didn’t meet Lisa, but Randy is very nice and makes you feel at home.

Quaint bed and breakfast with private bathrooms attached to each bedroom. Location is perfect, only a couple minutes from town. The hot breakfast on Sunday morning provided by Randy was excellent. We definitely recommend this space!

Kasia’s place was very tasteful. Loved the decor and the thoughtful goodies left out for guests. We thought the location was perfect and made it easy to get to the main strip of town. In addition, the place was very clean. Kasia was a very kind host and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the stay.

My wife, brother and I had a wonderful time staying at Kasia's place. We loved the location being only a quick 3 minute drive to main street in Lake Placid and a short drive up to Whiteface Mountain. Kasia's apartment provided us a warm, comfy, peaceful place to rest at the end of full day skiing. The beds were extremely comfortable and the apartment location was very quiet ensuring a good night rest. The added amenities of a kitchen with coffee maker(with coffee included), and a TV with Roku and cable were nice as well. Kasia provided ample recommendations for places to visit, eat or drink. My wife and I were fortunate to meet Kasia and her husband in person. They are warm, welcoming and friendly people. We loved our stay here and hope to come back again!

Very clean, convenient, and overflowing with thoughtful amenities. The apartment is a very quick and easy drive to downtown. Kitchen was fully stocked with spices, oil, vinegar coffee and any pots/pan that you'd need. Extra snacks, blankets, sheets, and towels were available. Very responsive when it came to communication. House rules were simple and appropriate. Overall, we had a very cozy and pleasant stay!

The cutest space!

This is our second time staying with Lisa and Randy. They keep clean spaces with thoughtful touches like breakfast and baked goods with great location just a minute to drive into town! Randy has all the local tips for restaurants and trails! We will be staying with them again!

Randy and Lisa were lovely hosts and Winterberry was charming and cozy! Everything was just as pictured and communication and Check-In were all very smooth. Would definitely recommend it to others and would stay again if ever in the area!

Our stay at Lisa and Randy’s BnB was great! Thoughtful touches all around, the house is clean and cozy. We spent a nice evening relaxing by the fire playing trivia after a day of hiking the Adirondacks. The room is clean, bed is comfortable and bathroom has everything you need. We also walked to downtown, so it’s really nice to leave the car at home and enjoy a few drinks in the city. Thank you for being amazing hosts!

Nice hostel, you get a private room. 10 minutes outside of Lake Placid, so great location.

We had a wonderful family weekend. The home was immaculate and exactly as described. Having the hot tub was a nice plus. It was in a perfect location close to town and close to Whiteface Mountain. Spending the weekend during the 40th anniversary of the 1980 Olympics was great. Todd and Kimmie were great to work with. I would definitely rent here again. Thank you again for a memorable family weekend.

We had previously stayed at one of Todd’s other places and loved it so I knew we would love this place as well. Went with several members of extended family and everyone had a great time. Gorgeous, clean house in a quiet neighborhood. Close to town and would’ve been walkable in warmer weather but didn’t risk it with our small kids. They had everything you would need to have a great time and communication was always fast and easy. Looking forward to finding a time to stay there again!

We visit the Lake Placid region annually, at various times throughout the year. Wes’ place was extremely clean, comfy, included everything we needed for our week-long stay, and was super convenient to some of our favorite places- many of which we walked to and from. I was even able to enjoy a run around Mirror Lake from the front of the apartment. We will definitely add this to our future itineraries!

Great location near the main Lake Placid strip, including the Lake Placid Brewpub which makes fantastic beer and pub fare. Our party of eight made a weekend trip from Canada to hike Mt. Colden and the place was exactly what we expected and well worth the cost. Just enough space to sleep all of us and some common space to eat and play board games at night. The host was very responsive and the place was very clean. Highly recommend and will likely return in the future for hiking weekends!

The apartment is very big. We had enough space with our five-headed family with three adult children. In the kitchen everything is there what you need. Only the equipment with plates and cutlery was a bit poor. The location is perfect. Main Street is around the corner and the next hiking parking lots are not far away.

This place was amazing! Being close to the main part of Lake Placid made everything a breeze. The apartment was very accommodating for my group of friends and me, and it had a very comfortable feeling about it. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to visit Lake Placid.

Very cute private cabin right in town. Perfect location for us to walk to the Olympic rinks and oval, as well as mirror lake and Main Street. At first we didn’t realize the bed was in the loft above us, when we did we were in love with the place! The whole place was warm, I would swear the bathroom floor was heated. The kitchen was decent size, the kitchen counter was big. We received a message from the owner a couple of days before with contact info that we never needed; the place was ready and we were more than happy with it. Looking forward to staying there again.

Fun place

Perfectly tucked away and peaceful for being in the middle of everything Lake Placid has to offer. Extremely cozy, even on subzero days/nights. Great amenities!

Perfect location, just a short walk everywhere, the Main Street being 5 minutes, a few pubs less than that, as well as the oval being right around the corner. Great for a 2 person weekend get away, and would highly recommend to someone who enjoys authentic Lake placid experience rather than staying in a hotel. Bed was lofted above the kitchen which I didn’t know but it was a really cool space up top! Bathroom had heated floors which was great for coming back from the cold. If you’re going to lake placid, stay here!

Thumbs up! By far the best place I have stayed at and the best host! I felt like I was in the right place or location all the time! Besides the heated bathroom floor was a very strong compliment to my comfort level! This place was set up to with everything you could possibly need. The bed was so comfortable too. Great spot to retreat to if coming back from outdoor stuff or just writing a book. Recommend!

The Little Wild Moose 'n' Chick-Inn is a delightful little cabin with all the amenities of home. It was an absolute pleasure to be able to cook a meal and rest on the couch after a long hike in some cold, rainy weather. It's extremely close to restaurants and all the local activity of Lake Placid. There's plenty of "what to do" guides supplied as well. I strongly recommend booking your next stay in Lake Placid at Charles's cozy little cabin.

This place is super cute! Great location- within walking distance of Main Street! I loved the thoughtful touches throughout the apartment such as a full kitchen with more pots and pans and appliances than most Air B&B’s, an extensive DVD collection, thoughtful bathroom accoutrement, and a super cozy bed and roomy shower with great water pressure. Perfect for a long weekend stay if you’re planning on hiking and exploring- the space is definitely small but it has everything you will need! The stairs to the loft are a little treacherous, but the loft area was very cozy. Would definitely stay here again! Especially since I have 44 more peaks to hike lol!

We headed up to Lake Placid for a spontaneous trip and were lucky enough to find this place available for the night due to a cancellation. Quite literally the most gorgeous space we’ve ever stayed in. Absolutely zero issues, and Keela was a perfect host. We ran into her and the cutest fur babies on the way out and she was so easy to talk to and gave an awesome suggestion we would have otherwise never known about. 10/10 would stay again.

Amazing place close to town!

Keela's home is beautiful and the view from every window was absolutely stunning! The location was perfect-we enjoyed the more rural landscape while only being a quick 5 minute drive to the heart of LP. Keela was flexible, responsive and a great host. We would definitely return and stay here again!

This house is just absolutely beautiful! The entire place is extremely clean. Keela is the most attentive host, very thoughtful and attentive. Our only regret was not booking it for a longer stay.

Wonderful! The property and host were so much more than advertised. The Red Retreat was beautiful. Located close to town but still secluded and private. Keela was more than helpful with any request or question that we had. The property had everything that we needed for our trip and Keela was willing to go above and beyond to make our stay comfortable, including offering to not only let our pup out while we were away from the property, but letting him play with Jack and Echo. We are thankful for all she did to make our stay special, and we will not hesitate to stay at the Red Retreat for future trips!

This home is beautiful and makes me want to remodel my house just like it lol. The Adirondack feel throughout it amazing. Although we come to LP to venture out and about we enjoyed just hanging at the house. Everything you could need is stocked. Owners were fantasticto work with and responded to any questions i had prior to the trip almost instantly. have asked for a better/nicer home and the location is great too. Close enough to still walk everywhere downtown. Will be booking again for our next group trip. Loved it!
