This is a beautiful place to stay in a lovely part of the world. Fiona was kind and helpful in every way. While it's easy for Goodwood, it's also very close to the Chichester Festival Theatre and there are several excellent restaurants nearby.

Fiona, James and dogs, are all cheerful and lovely and the Annexe is exactly as described. The kitchenette is simple and suited our needs for making teas and coffees. There is a plethora of great eateries in both town and countryside all of which are within easy driving distance. I shall always remember how perfectly happy we both were sitting in our Gentleman's Leather Armchairs, the window wide open, and listening to the trees. Watching them bend in the wind. This is a truly unique place to stay, gorgeous surroundings and the annex is beautifully decorated, peaceful and Fi is such a lovely person. She was there to help direct us through all the traffic (we were there for the Goodwood Festival of Speed) and organised a reservation at the local pub (The Royal Oak - brilliant food). It was a perfect experience and we highly recommend this place and hope to come back again soon.

A great place to stay especially is you are visiting Goodwood, Fiona is a fantastic host offering advise on where to visit and where to eat which was great for us as we didn't know the area at all and the recommendations were really good. The accommodation is really nice and the gardens beautiful. Ther are lovely walks around the property and a pub serving food 5 minutes walk away. I would defiantly return and can highly reccomend.

Lovely relaxing place to stay - Fi was uber helpful beforehand with any questions and it's a beautiful little bolt hole to escape to. If I needed anything, Fiona sorted it out - hairdryer, happy to lend my an ironing board etc, and when I made a couple of suggestions re extra bits n bobs in the kitchen area, it was taken well/immediately sorted rather than make me feel I was being a pain! And despite the horrendous weather at the nearby races, it was a little haven to return to.

Very responsive host who answered all our questions pre arrival. Lovely space but think that if any taller than us ( blokes of 6 foot plus) would find it a bit tight esp the bedroom space. If the outdoor field area was just cleared a bit - even a few metres - would look much better in our opinion - but might not bother others. All in all a thoroughly relaxing experience and Lucy was a great hostess.

Very welcoming but left to ourselves upon arrival which suited us. Lovely place to stay - small but perfectly formed. Stylishly and tastefully appointed. Well designed with huge attention to detail. Quality materials have been used throughout the renovation and the level of finishing is high. Very quiet inside but there is a little road noise outside. The wood burner was lovely to have and very easy to use. We could have done with a little more room but we have a baby and don't travel light! the mezzanine is lovely - very snug and really comfortable with the memory foam mattress. Kingley Vale is very close and is as beautiful as I remembered it.

This is an incredible property. It is finished to a very high standard. You are slightly out of the way but that doesn't detract from the property. Lucy keeps in contact with you throughout the booking process and nothing is too much trouble.

I booked Andrew and Janet's place on behalf of a work colleague and they were very responsive, helpful and kind.

I had a short but enjoyable stay with Andy and Janet. It was a great location for me as I needed good to be close to the Downlands. The goodwood race track can be seen from their house and Chichester town centre is only a 20 minute walk. I had a comfortable nights sleep followed by a cracking cooked breakfast prepared by Andy!!!! This is a lovely place to stay! A beautifully clean and airy room, with tea and coffee making facilities and private bathroom. Andrew and Janet our hosts were very accommodating, warm and welcoming. In short, we couldn't fault this place and would recommend to anyone.

Andrew & Janet are the perfect AirBnb hosts, providing a very comfortable bed, rain shower (I love these!!) and a superb breakfast. You will be made to feel very welcome in their home which is ideally situated just a 15-20 minute gentle walk from the town centre.

Carol is an amazing host. A lovely clean modern room better than most hotels. Breakfast was fabulous and the location convenient. Privacy if you needed it but Carol was on hand to help with anything that was required. Good pub two minutes walk away and five minutes drive from Chichester. Mum & I had booked a canal trip in Chichester and wanted an overnight stay so we could visit the cathedral the next day but the Lavant location is also perfect for Goodwood which you can practically see from her back garden. The ensuite facilities in the room were perfect. Lots of choice for breakfast which is served within the room and you are given a key to come in and out as you wish. Highly recommended!

A warm welcome from Andrew and Janet to their lovely home. Double room was comfortable - good storage space, tea making, hair dryer. Breakfast was a delicious cooked breakfast, toast cereals, fruit juice, tea/coffee. Location nice and quiet but not far from major roads so easy to reach by car.

The Cow Shed is a superb place to stay. We visited for Glorious Goodwood, and it's perfectly located as it's very near the centre of Chichester and only a 10 minute drive to the racecourse. There are also a lot of superb local pubs in Lavant and other nearby areas, in particular The Earl of March and The Royal Oak. The property itself is exceptional. It's very comfortable, homely and spacious but at the same time modern, with a lot of natural light coming through the roof windows. The quality of the fixtures and fittings is second to none and the property was extremely clean and well maintained. The property also includes a private drive, two en-suite bathrooms and all the necessities such as wifi, a well-stocked kitchen and washing machine & dishwasher. Jenny was extremely helpful from the moment we booked to the moment we checked out and tried to make our stay as enjoyable and comfortable as possible. Her hospitality simply couldn't have been better. I would definitely recommend staying at the Cow Shed if you're visiting Chichester, Goodwood or anywhere else nearby!

Everything about our stay with Jenny was perfect! We immediately felt at home- when we arrived there were plenty of snacks, fresh fruit, board games and much more! The beds were so comfortable, everything was very clean and even on a rainy day the house was filled with natural light. I honestly can't think of anything bad to say about our experience!

The Cowshed...the best thing since sliced bread. From the outset we knew that this place was going to be something a little special. The exterior cladding and flint finish gave the whole place a rustic contemporary look which couldn't help but make us intrigued to see the interior. We were met by the host who was fantastic, warm, and very willing to answer any of our questions about the properly. As we walked in the door the anticipation and excitement was well founded. What we discovered was possibly the best finished accomodations either of us had stayed in. The crisp clean lines only interrupted by gorgeous pieces of unique luxury barn house furniture which sat beautifully around every room. The beds were amazing to sleep on. A lovely and very generous touch were the breakfast ingredients and snacks that were left in the kitchen for us. Once again, like everything else in the house, displayed beautifully on the counter. Overall this was an incredible stay which was an absolute bargain in terms of the quality and attention to detail recieved. Our only regret is that we couldn't stay longer. Many thanks again.

Lovely modern barn conversion perfect for a break. 2 en-suite bedrooms so ideal for 2 couples or family. Nice quiet position with easy access to the city and to the coast - we also went out to the new forest in less than 1 hour. Would recommend.

What a lovely place to stay and everything you would need to make it comfortable and special. Jenny was a great host, relaxed and very helpful. It is close enough to walk into Chichester (although we didn't because of the weather). Can't recommend this accommodation highly enough. Plenty of nice places to eat, we enjoyed a meal at The Gribble Inn in Oving.

The locating was lovely easy to find with the directions in a rural area. We arrived later than planned didn't get a chance to see the whole area which looked nice for walks. We recommend breakfast at Wellies a high-end café that does a nice breakfast on a Sunday morning and food throughout the day. We had a really nice over night stay and would recommend to any one.

Very hospitable host. Beautiful location. Great breakfast which we would highly recommend. If one had to find a fault, which is nothing to do with Richard and Ali, is the noise of the road outside with farm traffic during harvesting, but nothing more than one should expect from a rural location in August!

I stayed with Richard and Ally for four nights. They made me feel very welcome and as if it was my own home. Richard and Ally were extremely friendly and helpful in explaining where the key locations were and how to get around. Their home is a lovely cottage style house just a 7 minute drive from Chichester. I highly recommend staying here!

Richard and Ali were fantastic hosts. They were both very friendly and welcoming, making me feel comfortable in their home. Both my room and the house was lovely, with a great bed and great view. Chichester was a short drive, with nice pubs close by. Overall, I had a great week and would definitely return.

We were made to feel very welcome and the cottage was a great location for the Goodwood Revival. Richard even gave us a lift into Chichester on Sat night which was extremely kind of him and we were very grateful for.

We travelled to the area for a 'weekend getaway' and stayed with Richard and Ali on the Saturday night. The cottage was easy enough to find (with some help from Richard) and the bedroom was lovely and cosy. We arrived in the darkness but in the morning we were surrounded with beautiful views over fields from the bedroom window. The location is lovely, very close the Chichester, where we had dinner on the Saturday night and on the Sunday we took a nice walk through the Yew Forrest and through Kingley Vale. Fully recommend, with Richard and Ali making us feel very comfortable throughout the stay and their cats Bingo and Dolly great characters in their home.

Thank you to Persephone for a wonderful stay. The room was lovely, the bed was so very comfortable (we both got a great nights sleep due to it being so comfortable). Persephone's home was lovely with a fantastic kitchen to make breakfast in where she provided lots of choice. She was a wonderful host giving great instructions for check in (we arrived late and she was still able to accommodate our check in). She is really approachable and friendly giving hints and tips of where to go in the local area whilst we were down there. The house is situated on a quiet street so it was lovely and peaceful.

An extremely comfy bed and luxurious bedding! Even fresh coffee and a cafetiere. Persephone generously went out of her way to give her home completely over to us. An enjoyable stay.

We were very late in booking but Persephone allowed us to come more or less within 2 hours and the house and room were spotless! Beside our room, with XXL bed and delicious matress, Persephone gave us full use of her sittingroom and kitchen (beautifully equiped). Next morning she let us share the pancakes she was making for her son, as well as our well supplied own breakfast. Persephone is an wonderful person, super friendly, energetic and enthusiastic. We left her house, feeling energized (if that is a word). Thank you so much.

What tipped my choice for this place was response within an hour and Caspar the cat. I had fairly simple requirements for my 1st air BnB experience and got more than I expected. Persephone was a very welcoming host and I enjoyed having the run of the place and a cat that was affectionate and loved a fuss. The house was clean, well presented and had everything I needed. Would stay again .

Lovely stay no issues.

Me and my boyfriend stayed in Sue's annex last weekend for one night. She was great at communicating beforehand and arranged for us to check in early on the Saturday to make the most of the weekend. The annex was clean, newly refurbished and in a great location, quiet with a balcony overlooking the back garden and adjoining land where sheep were grazing, but also only a short drive from Chichester town centre. The annex had all the amenities you would need, as well as including tea/coffee, bread, milk, and a few other essentials, allowing us to be self sufficient. We had not visited Chichester before and Sue was great at recommending some places to visit. Overall we would highly recommend Sue as a host and staying in The Annex.

Sue's annex is a very modern and comfortable space. It's in a gorgeous setting and decorated beautifully. Sue was very accommodating and easy to arrange a time with to collect the key. We had a short stay overnight for a wedding and wished we chose to stay another night to explore the area!

Sue's property was absolutely wonderful. We received a very warm welcome and the hamper was a lovely touch! I would happily recommend the property and Sue was a delight to deal with.

Sue's flat was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The flat has a balcony where you can sit and watch the sheep and pheasants in the field. It is in an excellent location near to the racecourse, theatre and Chichester. Sue provided a box of food goodies for us which was very kind. We would highly recommend this flat.

This a really special location on the edge of the city and the apartment is very special and I would recommend it to anyone especially if they wish to visit the Festival Theatre or the city. Hope to come back again

This is a fabulous, tranquil location with beautiful lakes to walk around, yet a short drive to Chichester. It was easy to find on the sat-nav and with directions from our host. The cottage was well equipped with even a downstairs loo and spacious rooms. We would definitely book again if in the area.

We stayed here for my brother's wedding on the Goodwood estate, and the cottage was very conveniently located for this. The house was comfortable and situated in a very picturesque farm. Kerrie was very responsive and helpful!

The lake and surroundings are even nicer than the advert suggests. Very helpful owner who responded to my questions very quickly.

We had a lovely stay at Northlands. Due to such great weather we didn't arrive til late in the afternoon but kept in touch with Kerrie so we were all happy. The cottage was great - just right for us - very welcoming, good size rooms, clean and tidy. Lovely touch of eggs and bread from Kerrie too which helped with next day's breakfast! The grounds around the property are beautiful and our little ones loved the ponies, trampoline and play frame. Would certainly recommend. Was great accommodation in a beautiful setting and very convenient for Chichester and the beaches. Although we didn't actually meet Kerrie she followed up to check all was well, and is clearly a kind and attentive host. Very happy weekend all round!

Kerrie was a fantastic host, great explanation on the arrival/check in process and directions on how to get there. She was super helpful during our stay by giving us pointers for the local area and how to get around the town. The cottage is very clean and well equipped. Couldn't have asked for a better experience.

Lovely modern and exceptionally well-kept apartment. About 10/15 min walk to Chichester Festival Theatre where I was working for the week. Parking is available with a permit provided by Maggie. Maggie was very accommodating when I was going to have difficulty checking-in due to work and actually dropped the keys off to me at the stage door of the theatre. Thanks again Maggie.

Maggie is cheerful and hospitable, but largely an 'absentee landlord' - often out and happy to leave the flat to you. Her good organising ability means she's thought of everything, making it easier for you as a guest. The flat is clean, quiet and amply comfortable, and there's a reserved parking space about 100 metres away. The score? - 5 stars all round!

We have just arrived back from a wonderful weekend at Sarah's house. Every-thing was perfect from the kitchen, to the bedrooms, to the garden and we were even treated to home made bread! A truly stunning property in a great location.

Beautiful, cosy house with a lovely big garden which is perfect for lazing. Sarah has created a wonderful space in which you can wind down and enjoy a relaxed few days with friends and family. Loved it - I'm sure we'll be back!

We had a two night escape at Sarah's with our 8 week old while our kitchen was being tiled. It's a great space, comfortable with luxury touches. It rained for our stay but I enjoyed thumbing the design books and my husband watched the rain through the numerous French doors looking out to the garden. It would be super cosy in winter with the Aga in the kitchen and log fire in the lounge. The bed was comfortable with lovely linen. Everything was immaculate. We really recommend the space and it would also be excellent for groups with lots of lounge space and separate areas for children and adults if desired. There are walks right on the doorstep. We cut through the woods and went up to a nearby nature reserve with 2k year old yew trees. The bridle way literally passes within a 5 minute walk. The sea is a short drive or head inland for antique shopping. Sarah is lovely and attentive, but made herself scarce for the duration of our stay.

Beautiful home, very special, full of style and character. Woodland walks on the doorstep and close to the lovely city of Chichester and numerous other pretty villages. The house was immaculately clean, the beds were super comfortable and everything you could need is there. Didn't get chance to read all the design books. An absolute treasure for anyone with an interest in interiors.

Amy greeted us with a smile and a large umbrella! Cosy accommodation with nice garden and dog friendly accommodation. Close proximity to Goodwood racing circuit / airfield means there was some noise in the garden but sight of a Spitfire low overhead made up for it!

The accommodation was comfortable and very clean and had everything we needed for the 2 nights that we stayed whilst visiting the Goodwood Revival which was a short drive away. A delicious breakfast was provided for us each morning. It was also nice to have off road parking .
