We recently stayed at Chateau Aragon and had such a wonderful week. The house is wonderful, well looked after and cared for, a joy to live in. We were two families (4 adults, 2 kids, and 2 babies), and found there was plenty of space for everyone to enjoy alone time and lovely common areas for us to be together. The pool and the enclosed garden were nice to let the kids run free while we could always see them from the kitchen or the living room. Our host gave us a lovely tour and was readily available if we needed anything. We were a bit worried that such a beautiful chateau would have too many “precious” objects where the kids could not be free but this was not the case. The decoration and arrangement is kid-friendly so you can relax a bit and let the kids play. The area is magnificent. Anne is an excellent host, responsive, helpful and informative. Lovely hiking trails in the region, taking you out through the "Occitanie region". We truly enjoyed our stay and will be returning, I'm sure.

Wow, what a wonderful place. Vines and vines as far as the eye can see. The little old house has been beautifully refurbished and we spent quite some time either sitting infront of it with a bottle of Sophie's and Richards wine (really good stuff, too!) or inside - we had a roaring fire going... how romantic! We recommend Sophie's breakfast! Absolutely delicious!! We'd come back any time!!

The Forge was the perfect place to relax and recharge. We were welcomed by Max, the gentle giant - an Anatolian Shepherd Dog. He is very friendly and we were thrilled to enjoy his company. Sophie's breakfasts were a delicious way to start the day and if you are lucky, you'll get to taste her fig/orange jam:) She was a pleasure to talk to and is taking great care of the domaine. The room itself is charming, rustic but comfortable, with a working fireplace to warm up if it gets chilly. There is a kitchenette - that we did not have the time to use - and a small adjacent bathroom - great water pressure. Overall, a great place to stay to enjoy the beautiful region, watch the stars and get some much needed quiet time.

Such a lovely stay at Villatade in the Forge. A lovely welcome from Sophie and Max the giant dog! A beautiful location far away from the madding crowd, exactly what we wanted and needed for our little break. Breakfast was beautiful, perfect way to start the day. We had a pleasant stay. Excellent communication and availability of Craig. An incredible environment for its tranquility and beauty river and mountain. We came with two children and our dog and all leblonde could enjoy the stay!

The house Craig is a beautiful and ancient building situated in a quiet village, with direct access to the river (safe, the water level was very low during our visit in May) by the garden. Our host was very discreet while being available at all times, very attentive and very welcoming. Excellent value and close to many family activities: bicycle rides or boat on the banks of the Canal du Midi, visit the medieval city of Carcassonne, caves, picturesque villages, ... We had a great time and we will return with pleasure!

An amazing stay nearby the beautiful city of Carcassone. Staying in an ancient house with mountain views was incredible. The atmosphere is very relaxed. Nearby there is the Chateau Lastours and the caves of Limousis so you really get the feeling you experience history.

Les Ihles is a smalll village in the Montaigne Noire. There is no shop and a car is essential. It was very hot when we were there - the European heatwave and it would have been difficult for any property to cope. It is a large place with three bedrooms

Cool host, wonderful home and the surrounding area is amazing the sound of running water to fall asleep to the mountains to go on a hike to the towers of Lastours really a place to get away and breath kick back eat good and have a couple of beers.

This is just a great place. Everything is beautiful and well-cared for. There is no comfort missing for a self-sufficient holiday. Our hosts were nothing but attentive and informative. My kids and I would have stayed longer if circumstances allowed. We can say all this for staying here in the winter, I just can't imagine how much more we would enjoy it in the warmer months. You won't be disappointed.

very very nice host ! we departed from Torino so we could not make it early, they were waitting amost arround 23:00 till we arrived. our room was so warm and clean, we really appreciate them ! by the way, the host is a british couple, perfect english ! no any communication problem!!

The "Etheridge" were very likeable and courteous and have already prepared us a warm fire in the little stove. The property has everything you need and more and is designed very lievevoll to the last detail! Thank you very much Mr. and Mrs. Etheridge - for sure we will visit again!

Sophie and Richard are very attentive hosts, smiling, suggesting ideas to discover their beautiful Minervois region. The view from our cottage and around the property is superb - valleys, vineyards, pine trees, small paths, charming village in the distance. And the quiet absolute. The new owners of the field of Villatade also made us taste their wine, a delight; as breakfast. Other important points: the bedding is of excellent quality and the cottage well decorated and equipped. We will be happy to return one day with family or friends.

Villatade c'est une magnifique découverte ! Un peu a l'écart certes mais tellement pleine de charme. Ici on peut déconnecter, se prélasser au bord de la piscine entourée de vignes. Et puis il a les visites; Carcassonne et sa foule, le gouffre et sa fraicheur, le canal de midi à vélo et l'Hérault en canoë. L'accueil de Sophie est chaleureux, souriant et sincère. Merci !

We traveled in family with 3 children (14, 9 and 3) and thoroughly enjoyed our holiday thanks to the welcome we received. The accommodation was exactly our expectations: land a foot in the center of this region we had discovered; a haven for our family; green holidays without being isolated from the world; a simple but clean and comfortable accommodation. The welcome we received was faultless. The guests were present but unobtrusive and always available. In short, for a holiday in this time of year we spend a memorable and rejuvenating.

Super nice place to stay. We felt very well at Jilly. She was very nice and super helpful. Carcassonne is about 15 minutes away by car. On foot you can make beautiful walks from the property. We want to definitely come back.

We had a wonderful stay at Jilly's farm. The landscape is beautiful and peaceful. The children had great fun playing outside and visiting the animals (goats, a dog, cats, a pony, and even an emur!). Jilly even organised an Easter-egg-search for them! Another great surprise was that breakfast was included! The flat itself is as described, the bedrooms and the bathrooms are spacious and well equipped. We would recomend a stay mostly for warm weather (spring, autumn, summer).

Matte is a spectacular site overlooking Carcasonne and 5 minutes from the city. The apartment we stayed in was fantastic, spacious, very clean and quiet. Jilly informed us about the peculiarities and local schedules so that we did not have problems and was very helpful. The only recommendation would be to locate the route before moving to Matte because of the roads should be caught to arrive.

Jilly was a great host, we had a very pleasant stay at her beautiful farm. Our room was very clean, spacious and well decorated. We could even use the swimming pool to cool down after a long car trip. The best surprise was the amazing breakfast!

This accommodation is a haven of peace but isolated, so reserved for nature lovers who want to flee the noise and the hustle and bustle of Carcassonne. Ideal for cycling and hiking. However for the races it is necessary to organize before.

Agréable petite maison en plein pays cathare au bord de la rivière qui permet de belles randos. Accueil chaleureux, Anne-Marie et Didier sont très disponibles. Nous avons passé de bonnes vacances malgré un temps moyen. Nous recommandons.

We really loved our stay in this house and in Villeneuve-Minervois. The village is very cute and has got everything you need (bar, restaurant, shop, cute windmill). We were worried about coming without a car, but actually managed to get around well through a combination of bus, walking and hitchhiking. The village is really well located to do a number of stunning, easy walks and there is a very cheap bus that goes to Carcassonne. The house itself was everything it promised to be, big, nicely decorated and with an amazing garden. Only thing to know is that two of the double beds were in one room (you cant see from one bed to the other as the room is so big but there is no wall in between). The woman who gave us the keys was also really lovely and helpful.

When 5 stars is not enough! Absolutely beautiful French country side home with amazing garden. The home itself appears recently remodeled and is very very spacious. Pauline and Wolly were absolute the most pleasant hosts. My only regret was that I was only passing through and only had one night there! You'll really enjoy your stay!

the perfect stop near carcassonne. Pauline and her husband have been lovely and helpful hosts and the room is great. the bathroom is not only large but really beautiful. All in all a wonderful start for a tour de france.

Me and my friend went to stay here in august we were both really looking forward to our stay but sadly left feeling angry and disappointed. The house was clean and the pool is lovely. Also the we really liked the bedroom and bathroom. Unfortunately Pauline and her husband made us feel uncomfortable at points throughout the stay and also on the last day accused us of stealing a SPOON on which they threatened us with the fact they wouldn't let us leave until they had it back!!!! Her husband shouted at my friend making her cry. We would never steal anything! They then found there spoon and didn't make much of an apology. They were constantly looking for an argument with us! We both love animals but not cats on the table were we eat! Plus don't dare ask them for any olive oil!! Luckily this did not ruin our time in carcassonne a wonderful area to visit.

Staying at Pauline and Wally's house was a real pleasure. Their house is absolutely beautiful, has a lot of character and they have done a fantastic job renovating the old farmhouse. They gave us a lot of useful information about Carcassonne and surroundings. A wonderful place to stay and highly recommended to anyone who wants to stay close to Carcassonne.

We really enjoyed staying chez Pauline located in a pleasant country village close to Caracassone. There were so many little extra touches.. a really beautifully presented and delicious breakfast on the terrasse, a luxurious bath with tub in a large, nicely decorated private bathroom and a very pretty bed (URL HIDDEN) ensuite with a private entry hall with tea service and bookcase. Very like a home. There was also a swimming pool and garden. Pauline and her husband were so accomodating, setting the table with dishes, silverware and table cloth for our picnic dinner. We also enjoyed their company and highly recommend staying here.

Our stay at the appartement of Anne Marie Fargues in Roquefere was memorable. The village is enchanting, very small but beautifully located. The surroundings are surprisingly versatile and full of history. The appartement itself was clean and comfortable, with a more than excellent price quality ratio. Our hosts were friendly and offer breakfast and dinner at their terrace or in their shop. There is one other restaurant in the town, Sire de Cabaret, which is also excellent. All in all we greatly enjoyed our stay in Roquefere.

We were expected. The basket of goodies was so friendly. The hosts were friendly and available. And very patient with our son.

We stayed with Jilly for two nights this June with our three kids, aged 6, 12 and 15. The cottages are very nice and comfortable. The countryside is lovely and perfect for walking or cycling. Highly recommended and very convenient to Carcassone if you have a car. Jilly is very hospitable and the breakfast and dinner she provided was delicious.

The directions were mostly clear, and we were welcomed and shown the cottage right when we arrived. It was a wonderful place to stay for a relaxing and calm weekend.

Vine Cottage is a great place to stay, there is plenty of room both in the cottage and outside. There is play equipment and animals to entertain the kids, and Jilly and her husband are friendly and helpful. Next time we would hope to stay longer as we were just passing through this trip.

We were made to feel very welcome on arrival. Great little country place perfect for two couples with two bathrooms and two double bedrooms. Jilly brought us a scrumptious breakfast which was much appreciated. It is a little way from town but very peaceful. Thank you Jilly.

The Cottage was wonderful, like a dream come true! Bigger than any expectations we had. Jilly is a "wonderwoman"! She takes care of everything. Qui plus est, ils sont tous deux accueillants et fort aimables, ce qui ne gâte rien. La piscine est juste superbe. Nous y avons passé d'excellentes vacances et comptons bien y revenir.
