Really cute backyard Mother-in-Law cottage with a great selection of books. Their driveway goes right up to the cottage door, so I was able to park right outside, which was great because I had a lot of music gear to carry in. The bed was super comfy with a nice feather mattress-topper. Their place is close to lots of great restaurants, bars and coffee shops/bakeries in the Cooper-Young neighborhood: Hattie B’s Hot Chicken, Central bbq, otherlands coffee, Muddy’s Bake Shop, Memphis Made Brewery, even a Juice bar, all within a 15-20 minute walk or a 5 minute car ride. Mary & Wes were helpful and quick to respond, and their guidebook offers some great local suggestions for music, food and other fun activities in Memphis. I would definitely recommend this place to other guests!

We loved this place so much! It’s really cute and comfortable and has a lot of nice little touches. The neighborhood is great and the cottage is very conveniently located. It was perfect for walking our dogs and Central BBQ is a short walk away. The hosts were very responsive, and we really love that it is pet friendly. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it! Memphis is the best!

The neighborhood was perfect to explore more local restaurants/bars/cafes in the Cooper/Young neighborhood but also a quick drive to the downtown area. I would highly recommend and love to stay again if I return to Memphis.

Very cute and clean. Best part was the bed which was so comfortable. However it was a great hiding place for our cat so if you bring a cat who likes to hide, you really cannot physically pull him/her out. Just use your best persuasion skills. Pretty close to I-40 which was important for us on our road trip. The heating/AC unit was a little loud at times but honestly didn’t notice once I was asleep.

Such a fun little place! The apartment is in the building behind the main house and parking is in the backyard behind the gate so everything is private and secure. The area was very quiet and the bed comfy so we found it a great space to rest from a long day of driving. The building is old but has a lot of charm and Kelly has done a great job with making the space comfortable. Heat is via a furnace which Kelly rightfully requests be off when you are not present. At first I was worried it wasn't going to be enough to take the chill out of the air, but it was soon blazing and warmth wasn't an issue at all. There is a step up into the bathroom and the kitchen space is small so cooking a complex meal might be challenging. The local guide book though was awesome! We only had one night in Memphis but wish we had more time because there were some definite places I would have liked to try out. Summary: the place is older and a little quirky, but if you like charm, character, a quiet place to be, and local tips, I would highly recommend!

Wonderful and cozy! There was a heater lit when I arrived later that night! I read other comments that spoke of them leaving wine for their guests and it was true. It was a nice red. Cute touch. The room was smaller than I expected, but hey--no dimensions were given so I can't really say much about it, but just looks different than the photo (magic of angles I guess). The linen was well stocked and I had what I needed for the quick stay. The gate is tricky, but I managed. lol. Easy entry into the space. We enjoyed the stay.

My husband and I relocated to Memphis and stayed at John's airbnb the day before moving into our new home. The arrival and departure instructions were simple and easy to follow, which is very helpful when time is limited during the moving process. Furthermore, John let us park our moving truck in the street parking (this was one of my biggest concerns- where to park this beast!). I would like to add that the Keurig coffee maker was essential when waking up early to meet the movers. The apartment was very clean, tidy, and appeared to be in a safe area of town (very quiet neighborhood). John was quick and response to all of my messages and inquires prior to arrival. I highly recommend staying here!

This Airbnb was truly amazing! It was in a great location, close to everything. I have stayed in plenty of AirBnBs that claim there is plenty of parking, where there actually isn’t, but this place did! It was on a nice, quiet street, although it is close to the airport, so you can hear planes. Of course, that is of no fault of the host! You are very close to a lot of things, and can also get a lot of food delivered if you need to! The place was super cute and had a lot of thoughtful things! I really loved the extra power strips to plug in devices! I have other trips planned to Memphis coming up, and I will definitely be staying here!

It was really nice to stay in an older neighborhood - much more like staying in a home, and it was still very convenient to my daughter's college and to Midtown. The parking inside a gate is nice too, and the wine was a lovely touch.

Great place every time I stay in Memphis!

This place was perfect for my husband and I! It was our first time for a grizzlies game and the apartment was super close to the fedex forum. The bed was super comfy and it was nice to wind down after the game and walking on Beale to come back and be able to relax and watch some tv! They were quick to respond to any questions I had and the apartment was super cute! We really enjoyed our stay.

This stylish studio apartment was PERFECT for what we needed. Such a cool spot in Atlanta close to everything and the touches by the employee of the month were spectacular. Don’t stay anywhere else if you have the opportunity!

Tim's house is in a safe, well-maintained neighborhood. The high ceilings, large bedroom and tastefully decorated mid-century modern style give the place a spacious, peaceful atmosphere easy to relax in after a day of running around Memphis. The bed is very comfortable and there is a lot of storage for clothes. The bedding and bathroom linens and amenities are high quality. The back yard is well-maintained and big enough for little kids to run around. It was too cold to sit out there but there are areas one can sit to enjoy being outside in warmer weather. The kitchen has very good appliances and is well equiped to cook and serve a family meal. Tim is quick to respond to questions, instructions are very clear, check-in and check-out very easy and convenient. The most restful place we have stayed in Memphis and felt so much like home! I highly recomend Tim and his zen house. We hope to be able to stay here again for future visits.

House had a great 50’s modern feel.....like staying in an episode of mad men. Bed was very comfy, Close to everything , and we loved waking up every morning and having our coffee watching all the birds in the backyard garden. Great bbq at Payne’s bbq, and terrific fried chicken at Gus . Super good

The location was perfect for all the sightseeing you want to do in and around Memphis!!! Nothing was more than 15 minutes away and many places were within 5-10. Liberty Bowl, St. Judes, FedEx Forum, Peabody Motel, Civil Rights Museum, Graceland, Memphis Zoo, Beale Street just to name a few of the places. There is a Kroger not too far away and a Mid-Town donuts across from Kroger. The Lafayette Music Room with nightly entertainment and Belly Acres is in Overton Square. Regarding the suite.....very nice and clean and modern....awesome setting in a neighborhood. Felt safe, very easy entry, even has a safe available if you want to use!

Overall great space to stay at, great location very clean, great hospitality over all had a great time staying at the location.

Down here for work in Southaven, easy commute to where I needed to go. Neighborhood may look a little rough but had no problems and was very quiet place to stay. Cookout right around the corner, definitely recommend the cookout style burger!

We had a great stay! The yard was PERFECT for my dogs and they really enjoyed the space. The beds were really comfortable. The area is great, within walking distance to a great food hall with tons of options, and several breweries (some of which allow dogs)! If we ever visit Memphis again I’d love to stay here.

Jamey and Michelle's place is very nice and cozy. It has everything one could need for a stay in town and the location is pretty tough to beat as far as being close to restaurants and bars. It also is pretty close to downtown Memphis. I would definitely consider staying here again on a visit to Memphis!

This place is very clean and so cute. I loved it! Only thing is to be aware that it is located above a restaurant that plays loud music until 1 am, which is fine! But I was visiting Memphis for school and having to get up super early while not getting the best sleep due to the music. I would definitely choose this place again if I were going on a little vacation.

This is such a cool space and a great location. We kept making jokes about moving in for good! You can hear music coming from somewhere late into the night (after midnight), but it didn’t keep us up.

Great time visiting with staff at the Pontotoc restaurant/bar downstairs. Really friendly and fun group.

Fabulous place to stay in Memphis. Everything you needed and great location.

So much room! This eclectic apartment was so cool and so fun. Everywhere you look is a spot for a cool photo op. I am a style blogger and had a blast getting pictures. Communication was immediate and efficient. The restaurant below (Pontotoc) is noisy if you are in the living room area but during the week it shuts off at 11:00pm. Go downstairs and see what the festivities are all about. The location is perfect. I could watch the trolleys go up and down the street all day. I was so sad to leave and will definitely be back.

Really cool loft building. Location is perfect. Tons of coffee and food places to eat just a few blocks away. Beale was super easy to get to after a grizzlies game. I would stay here again .

Outstanding location. I could not be happier about the waling distance to Beale and surrounding area. Parking is a plus as well. And the loft was great too, very spacious. The evening noise from the bar did not disturb us much.

This place totally exceeded my expectations. My husband and I came here for a place to crash and loved our short stay. The bedroom was cute and clean, and the bed was very soft and comfy! (The bed sheets feel amazing.) The bathroom is private, clean, and even has a few cute things for guests to use like fun soaps and shampoos and whatnot. The private den is incredible and the muffins were GREAT. Also the street was so charming and adorable. I really think this place is worth far more than its valued at, and we plan to come back.

We had a pleasant time at Rachel's home. It's a really comfortable and welcoming space. It was cuter than the photos and the pup was super sweet. :) We hope to visit Memphis again, and would enjoy staying with Rachel if we do.

Let’s talk about how comfortable this bed is!!!! This was the midway point of a 14hr drive for me and I could not have been happier with the comfort level. The muffins and sweet puppy were icing on the cake! I adore old houses and this home was absolutely charming.

This apartment building is an example of the great, historic architecture in midtown Memphis. It was walkable to several, excellent restaurants- Bar-B-Q Shop, Casablanca highly recommended- as well as Overton Park and Brooks Museum. The apartment was quaint, very clean, and the kitchen was stocked with a decent assortment of necessities like a toaster, cutting board, and a good coffee maker w plenty of coffee. Would stay in one if Tim’s apartments again!

Everything was great. Space was everything I expected. It was clean and very quaint. Host was great with communication. Would definitely recommend this place for a quick getaway.

This is a cozy place to be! If looking to be close to the heart of Memphis but not too close look no further than here. If it gives you an idea it’s 11 mins away from Beale street. The owners are very nice and the dog while reserved is still very nice. In all my time with AirBNB this is the best place I have ever stayed.

Great location to everything. In a quiet, safe neighborhood, we had no problem getting anywhere. Spacious bedroom with all the amenities to make you comfortable. We tried to befriend Ginger, but struck out. She is definitely the guardian of the house. Enjoyed our stay and would reccomend.

Nice place very lovely hosts. This location is near everything you need and in walking distance to a little coffee shops. I would recommend a night mask to sleep in if you prefer a darker space to sleep in. The bed is very comfortable and I would gladly stay here again .

If you are looking for a perfectly located bungalow that isn’t a boring contemporary box, this is your spot. The location could not have been better. Uber downtown in 10 minutes, walk to tons of restaurants/bars/coffee shops in the neighborhood (I recommend Otherlands and Cafe Ole for their patio Sunday brunch!). Yet I heard birds singing in the morning when I woke up, so you don’t feel like you’re in the middle of the city. I solo travel a lot and safety is always my #1 concern. I felt perfectly safe walking around this neighborhood. The neighbors along the street are very friendly. Josh and Deidre have kept a lot of the original character of the apartment while updating it with pretty modern essentials. It was spacious enough for more people even though I stayed alone. Photos are accurate. Plenty of street parking. It was clean and had everything you need in an AirBNB. Bring your own Keurig cups and laundry detergent if you need those. I am going to be in the Memphis area a lot over the next year and hope to snag this spot every time!!

I had an excellent stay! House is as pictured, charming and comfortable. Hosts have a great eye for color and pattern in decorating. I'm on a long road trip, so I particularly appreciated the washer and dryer. I suggested to the hosts that they consider switching to unscented detergent, as there growing numbers of people who have sensitivities to scents. Linens are currently washed with Tide, which I find to be particularly strong scented. All in all, I had a great two nights! Thank you for the affordable, clean, and comfortable location.

Do not hesitate to book this space—one of the loveliest Airbnb experiences I’ve ever had. Teri’s responses were immediate, she welcomed us personally when we arrived, and her neighborhood recommendations were all spot-on (we went to the Cafe Eclectic for breakfast—delightful). The gas fireplace, rocking chair, loveseat, bed, come together and evoke a cozy homey feeling. Everything about the stay was perfect. Even the water pressure in the shower is great. Couldn’t have asked for more.

Teri's place is a wonderful and cozy spot to enjoy Memphis! Easy to find and access with much appreciated on-site parking. Had a great night's sleep and loved the extra touches of the porch and fireplace in a wonderfully cared-for classic old apartment! Highly recommend.

We loved our stay nice clean apartment with everything you need really cute touches informational books so if you’re not from there I’ve never been there you could find things to do it was very close to downtown Bealel Street and across the street mollies had amazing food And so many other restaurants literally right around the corner bed was comfy when I come back to Memphis I’m going to check with him because available because the location is so awesome

Jessica's place is really an amazing place to stay in Memphis. It is near so many cool restaurants and bars and within a 15 minute drive of anywhere you would want to go in Memphis. The place itself is wonderfully decorated and very cozy. This is the perfect place to stay for a couple! I wouldn't suggest it for bigger groups since the bathroom is through the bedroom and the pull out isn't super comfortable. We would definitely stay here again!

Place was very nice and exactly what we were looking for during our stay in Memphis! Everything was cozy and clean. There was an issue with the heating during our first day, but Jessica was very responsive and immediately resolved the issue for us -- very impressed by the hospitality!

Jessica’s space was stylish, cozy and in the perfect proximity to everything! We will be staying here again at our next trip to Memphis! Thanks for the great hospitality, comfortable space and recommendations!

Amazing and cozy

If you're visiting Memphis for collegiate sports or fairgrounds activities, this is good location, no more than a 15-minute car ride away. Had no trouble getting a rideshare. A nice economical option for anyone not planning to send much time in the room.

Eclectic spot in a chill area. Met some cool fellow travelers while I was there. Would stay here again.

This was my second time staying at this place. It is a really convenient location for a pit stop during a long drive across the country. Not to mention: Memphis is a great city to visit. The place itself is an excellent value and the folks living here are super friendly to communicate with. They also respond very quickly to requests. Excellent!

Was a gorgeous private room and an extremely comfortable bed.

Superb walk around town with loads of great stories and sights to see. Lovely lady who obviously cares a great deal about Athens and loves to share that with others!

I booked this place for my son, as he needed a place to stay during a rugby tournament that he was attending. His review is: The place was super quiet and we had a lot of fun with her cats. The key pad on the door to the cottage was convenient because we got there super late, so she didn't have to wait up for us. It's a great place for a couple's quick get-away and Patty's communication made it super easy to find.

Cute and perfect for our stay

We stayed in the Farmhouse Cottage and were so pleased!! The room was warm, comfortable and had anything you could need in it. Patty exuded the best hospitality, inviting my husband and I in while she was having a get-together as well as in the morning for coffee. We only stayed one night here in passing on our road trip but we wish every AirBNB we booked was that nice!

Great location. Quiet. Private. Clean. An excellent value! Much better than staying in a stuffy hotel for a week. We were there when it was cold, and there is a draft that comes through the window above your head when in bed. I imagine that's generally unusual when the weather is a bit more mild.

Unit was exactly as described and incredibly tidy. Loved the location within walking distance of sushi, mediterranean, fastfood, and grocery. Excellent communication from the host.

We had a great stay at Tim’s. We were able to walk Downtown, it took about 30 minutes. Close to great eats. Very comfortable space. Loved being able to wash and dry laundry

Tim’s place was exceptional. It was super clean, & the bed was very comfy. There’s a full kitchen, so we cooked, instead of going out every night. We loved having the convenience of a washer and dryer. I would love to stay here again.

Such a cute, clean condo. Exactly what i expected from the reviews. Denver was quick to respond to check-in and my questions. Walking distance to just about everything, you can’t go wrong with this place! Love that it was a very secure condo as well, we felt very safe and welcome.

We had a great stay in Memphis at Denver's place. The location is readily proximate to everything happening in the city. The building was an old hotel with an interesting history and a funky vibe. Denver's loft is well appointed with nice amenities. Having a washer/dryer was a plus along with the many functional windows which flooded the unit with light. We plan to return and would be delighted to stay at Denver's place again.

Denver was such as an amazing host. In fact, he was so great with explaining everything that we didn't really have to bother him to much. His place is walking distance from so much. Civil Right museum and Beale Street. He recommended great restaurants which I can say were all great choices. Especially Gus Famous Fried Chicken. The condo was so comfortable. We came down to celebrate my wife birthday and we truly felt like we was on vacation. I would definitely give this place all 5 stars in every category. More if I could. Definitely recommend if you want a nice place that's within walking distance and also had ubers as well as a trolley to get around if need be.

I am delighted to have stayed at Denver's place in Memphis over a long weekend. The apartment was clean and comfortable and in the perfect location. We walked everywhere we went - as far a Central Station in one direction and Beale Street in the other. There are plenty of solid eating and drinking options within a few short blocks. I'd be happy to stay there again next time.

Wonderful place for a great price

If your looking for a clean, safe, and convenient place to stay for the night then this is the place for you!! I was in town for an event at St. Jude's and this was very convenient (only 8 or so minutes from St. Judes). I checked in later in the evening but had no issues at all and Neysa responded very quickly to my messages. The room I was in comes with a private half bathroom which I didn't realize so it was an extra nice surprise! The half bathroom and room were very clean and welcoming. Off street parking is available close to the building.I had a great night's sleep and would highly recommend Neysa's Air Bnb.

Neysa's place is in an excellent neighborhood in Memphis! This is one of my favorite areas to walk about in during the morning. It is really nice to be able to walk down to the riverside before hitting the road again. Additionally, Neysa is extremely prompt in responding to messages and leaves very simple directions for efficient check-in and check-out. What a lovely place!

Neysa's place was a good guesthouse. I only stayed overnight but it definitely seemed like a safe neighborhood which was what I was going for. Neysa was also friendly and I could tell she was very experienced with doing Airbnb.

At Neysa's everything is perfect, from a very detailed and simple comunication to a nice house and a flexible check-in. Even if I didn't meet her, I felt well treated...hope to come back, raccomended!

Nice place

Neysa is a super cool host. Do not be intimidated by her freakish organization skills. It's actually good for you. She tries hard to make you feel at home and offers great suggestions about places to visit. She expects guests to follow the rules and as long as you do so, you are good :) I really enjoyed my stay here.

Had a really nice time here. Great space for two-four folks. Convenient distance to Beale Street. Had some noise next door but that is out of the host’s control. Front desk was kind but not helpful when it came to noise complaint. We thought the music got louder. Friend had to sleep on the couch. It was Saturday night and it was loud music so that’s to be expected, but that was the only downside. Heat was a good option but perhaps another blanket or two in the closet or few hangers would have been helpful. Great host, great communication, fantastic views, great place.

The location is phenomenal - we were able to walk everywhere. Amber’s place was the perfect location for our Memphis vacation. The staff in the building were extremely friendly and always had a smile for us and a good recommendation.

Perfect for us. Easy walk to Beale St. As described, it is a little old, but can't beat the price and location. And the view from the 14th floor is awesome. Also two great vegan places a block away (FAM and Tamp and Tap).

My partner and I enjoyed our stay; we LOVED the view of the bridge's light show every night from the bedroom! Hosts were quick and thorough in their instructions for check-in, and they were outstanding about communication and checking in. Beautiful little apartment with an incredible view over Downtown houses and the Mississippi...every time again.

John is a wonderful host and his apartment was just as decribed. It is located right downtown close to the mississippi river (the view is amazing), the pyramid, beale street and everything down there is in walking distance. We parked on the lot John recommended as the parking garage was full every time we drove by. The lot was 15$/24hours. If you choose to stay at Johns, be sure to also check out midtown in Memphis!

This place has a great view and has a nice “home” feel even though it’s in the middle of a downtown area. I wish I could have stayed longer. Check in was easy, the host was very responsive and helpful when I asked questions. I would stay again!

John's place is in a fantastic location! You are right in downtown, a 10-15 minute walk from museums, Beale street, mud island, etc. The apartment is clean and has a phenomenal view of the big bridge (that has a light show every 30 minutes at night) and the river. Everything in the apartment was great - comfy bed, good shower, and a nice couch. The hallway outside the apartment had a weird smell, but inside the apartment was normal. John is also a super responsive host. Thank you for the great stay John!
