The Woodland Hive is a four-season geodesic glamping dome and spa located in a private getaway surrounded by forest. The space has an outdoor cooking area with a barbecue, chiminea and yard. Included is a forest spa experience. Soak all of your stress away in the cedar wood-fired hot tub and relax in the cedar wood-fired sauna. It’s a perfect escape outside of the city, but still close to several attractions along the Fundy coast. Magical place any time of year!
The Woodland Hive is tucked away in the forest behind our homestead. On our hobby farm we keep honey bees, laying hens and grow vegetables. We are close to local businesses including restaurants and several tourist attractions. There are walking trails near our house including the marsh and Gray Brook trail.
We are located along the Fundy Coastal Drive. Beautiful rural scenery, rolling hills, and country charm, Hillsborough is a small historical village only 25 minutes from Moncton. Local businesses include restaurants and cafes, a golf course, farmers market, museums, and artisans. We are only a 15 minute drive to the famous Hopewell Rocks and 40 minute drive to the quaint fishing village of Alma and Fundy National Park.
  • We had a great stay. The hot tub and sauna were very nice, as well as the bbq. Was very clean and the decor was beautiful.

  • Erin and Clinton have an amazing spot and did an excellent job at communicating to us all the information we needed to know to give us an incredible stay. We have already recommended their “Hive” to many of our friends and will definitely be making time in the future to unplug at their place.

    Janet2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • Highly recommended! Very cosy and warm place to spend some relaxing time! Thanks!

  • The dome was beautiful, and was cozy and the hot tub was warm:)

    Dani2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • Erin and Clinton were extremely well organized, thoughtful and responsive. Before we even arrived they had put a fire on in the hot tub, sauna and dome. It was all toasty and warm when we arrived and we were able to get right in the hot tub. It was perfect after a long afternoon skiing at Mill Creek in Riverview! The dome was better than I imagined and anticipated. There were lots of dishes and items to cook with. They had left clear directions about the fires and how to's for the hot tub, sauna and fire stove in the dome. It was super helpful. We are used to wood fires and heat at home, but this was a different due to the type of manufactured logs and specialty stoves with water heating abilities. I was thankful for their explanations.

    Alyssa2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • Simply an amazing stay! Everything about this place was even better than expected. I will strongly reccomend to everyone I know for sure. Little slice of heaven. The dome was sparkling clean, has everything you need. The little touches these owners add to this place was just the frosting on the cake! BEST airbnb we’ve ever stayed at Hands down!

The cabin is such a wonderful escape right now and it is beautiful to be relaxing next to the river, walking around in the woods, floating in the hot tub under the stars and barbequing on the deck! First of we are asking all of our guests if they have been outside the country in the last 14 days or are showing any symptoms that they must notify us. Please let us know if either of these apply to you and we will process a refund. In addition, we are following all of the Health Canada guidelines and appropriately disinfecting and cleaning the entire cabin, bathroom, hot tub and everywhere with extra effort and care to meet and exceed the required standards. • Amazing getaway. From the warmth of the timberframe to the record collection, you won't regret booking Paula and Peter's place. Falling asleep to the crackle of the woodstove and the song of the creek flowing by was just what we needed for a couple of nights. We will be back!

Would come back here for sure!

The St. Anns lighthouse was built in 1905. This was a working lighthouse until 1962. We are restoring it and adding some modern luxuries for our guests to enjoy. The lighthouse is located in St. Anns, directly on the water. On the Cabot Trail. We are centrally located for you to enjoy all of what Cape Breton has to offer. Travel around the beautiful and scenic Cabot Trail. Enjoy the beautiful stars at night, and picturesque views of St. Ann’s Bay. The Gaelic College is just a few minutes away.
Stay at one of the most famous addresses in Canada, the Cabot Trail and at our decommissioned lighthouse. We started renovations in June 2018 and we have completed our first stage in time to open in August 2018. Every year we tackle a few more projects, in the fall 2018 we installed a new red metal roof, it looks amazing! In 2019 we enhanced the interior with shiplap walls, new kitchen floor, new storm door, moved and added a new wood stove to a center location and installed new trim work, keeping the historical Lighthouse in mind with every detail. This lighthouse has so much history. Follow us on Facebook, lighthouse on the Bay and watch our progress. The lighthouse is best suited for 2 guests. It’s super cozy with a king bed (Casper mattress) in the bedroom, and we do have a sofa bed in the living-room space. Our lighthouse is over 100 years old, so with this comes all of its unique features. We love our lighthouse and the natural surroundings, please ask if you have any questions prior to booking. Wake up to the ocean waves, have coffee on your front deck, watch the local fisherman haul up their traps, and take a walk on the beach. Walk our natural beach at low tide, find all kinds of treasures, sea glass and pottery that have washed up. Walk down the beach and find a secluded sandy beach area, bring a chair, beach towel, a little picnic and enjoy. We can help plan your stay, make local suggestions for restaurants, hire a fishing guide, or even provide a lobster dinner. The Gaelic College is just a story drive and Baddeck is 20 minutes. Cape Breton is beautiful. Our lighthouse is located on the bay in St. Anns, where you will see the most spectacular views, and the stars at night are the brightest you will see. Sometimes living in beautiful areas comes with some small inconveniences. Because of our mountains and valleys we can have some areas of the island with poor cell service, including St. Anns. On occasion we might get a local guest come and visit, some of our squirrels try to come in to save food for winter, they never come inside but you might hear them on the roof or the outside wall by the bathroom. Our closest grocery store is about 20 minutes away, in Baddeck. Yes, another inconvenience, but the only traffic jam will be the locals kayaking out front, some seals swimming by or eagles soaring by.
There is so much to see and do in St Ann's and all across Cape Breton. Locals love our varied cultures, and delight in the out-of-doors, as well. So many hiking trails, waterfalls, artisan shops, local restaurants, museums and music venues all across the island. The out-of-doors will always offer opportunities to enjoy our views and active lifestyles. Grab your fishing rod and head out along the streams and rivers that flow through our woods. Or try your hand at fishing for mackerel on the Jersey Cove shore. You can even dig for clams in the bay. In summer, take a boat tour out to the Bird Islands, nesting grounds of the Atlantic Puffin. Or kayak in the world-famous North River. St Ann's Bay is also famous for our world-class artisans. From May through November, you will find these folk busy creating stunning pieces in all kinds of media — you're welcome to watch them work. In the off-seasons, call ahead. In summer, plan to take a couple of days to visit every one!
  • This space is even better than the pictures can reveal. It is a wonderful space to hang out in and a perfect location to explore Cape Breton. Every detail has been thought about. The bed is extremely comfortable. It is very clean and beautiful. The views are absolutely breathtaking. We hope we can get back there soon.

  • We stayed here for 6 days during Celtic Colours. The property is superb in every way. It is ideally located close to the Gaelic College and Baddeck, giving you easy access to many of the excellent music and cultural events. John and Rosella are superb hosts.

    Wayne2019-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • It doesn't get any better than that. The lighthouse truly is one of the best accomodations we have had so far. Every detail is well thought out and arranged with love. The location and view are awesome. Plus the nice supplies that our hosts provided, including a bottle of wine. We would love to return one day.

  • Had the most wonderful time at this beautiful lighthouse - we are bummed we didnt book for longer! The view, fireplace, comfortable bed... everything was perfect. If this lighthouse is available, book it now!! Will def be back again! Hosts were awesome to communicate with and made our stay easy and fun! Thank you :)

  • We stayed at the Lighthouse for three nights on our honeymoon and couldn’t have loved it more! It was cozy, awe inspiring and beautiful all in one shot. Rosella and John were the perfect hosts, and we hope to return some day!

  • A real gem run by two very thoughtful hosts!

    Bruce2019-10-04T00:00:00Z
  • Rosella and John's place was truly amazing! We had such an fantastic stay in Cape Breton. The Lighthouse was clean, spacious and had everything we needed and more! Our hosts went truly out of their way to make our stay extra special. We really enjoyed waking up to the ocean views, kayaking on the bay and spending time up at the top of the lighthouse. We would definitely recommend staying here!

    Meredith2019-09-27T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great place and we enjoyed our stay a lot. The lighthouse is a very special place and was one of our favorites during our 3 weeks in Nova Scotia. Rosella and John are wonderful hosts, easy to communicate with and always available for questions and tips. We only had 2 nights but we found everyting we needed for the stay. We did not have the time to use all the available thinks like the Weber grill on the terrace or the canoes to scout the sea. This is really a place to calm down. The interior design is beautiful and perfectly fit to the whole nice atmospere in the kitchen/living room. You always have the view over the sea and there is also an white-headed sea eagle flying around. We never saw one from such a short distance. Very impressive. I can strongly recommend this place. We had a wonderful and relaxed time and we plan to come back but then for a longer time. Thanks a lot Rosella and John for sharing this place with other people :-)

Port Greville is a coastal hamlet of houses on the Bay of Fundy in Cumberland County, Nova Scotia. It finds itself set amidst a remarkable glacially-formed geography, positioned between the Atlantic Ocean and the ancient Cobequid Mountains. Port Greville has a store, a firehall, an Age of Sail Museum and an ever-unfurling beach..
  • It was sooooo quiet and relaxing. We live in halifax and it's too noisy and we both realized we miss living in the country. All is there for you to enjoy a comfy weekend. Just relax and enjoy!!!

  • I really enjoyed my stay at Colleen and Dave’s place! Highly recommend it!

    Julie2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • This apartment sits on the second floor of an old farmhouse perched on a hill above Port Greville bay. The view is stunning. The location is tranquil, slow and quiet. Everyone in the tiny town is so friendly. The apartment is delightfully rustic with a full kitchen, excellent amenities and eclectic furnishings. It is very close to Parrsboro with a fascinating Bay of Fundy museum as well as Cape Chignecto with miles of hiking trails. Colleen and Dave made us feel very welcomed and gave us lots of helpful information. We’d stay here again in a heartbeat.

    William2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a wonderful time staying at Colleen and Dave's place. The extra touches like the record player, guitar, and board games were a great way to pass the time on a rainy evening. We loved the large tub and the view was outstanding. Hopefully we'll be back one day! Thanks again!

    Megan2019-09-25T00:00:00Z
  • This accommodation had one of the best views that I have had anywhere that I have stayed. We wished that we could have stayed longer to enjoy the rooftop cottage and the surrounding area. We appreciated the two beds and having a living room that was separate from the bedroom. The high ceilings and claw foot tub gave the space lots of character. We enjoyed watching Netflix in the evening. This is the first AirBnB listing that I have read that included an acoustic guitar and a telescope for the guests to enjoy. It is very well suited for staying for several days. We did not use the kitchen, but it seemed to be well equipped. I did use the microwave oven. Thank you to Colleen and Dave for an enjoyable experience.

The Coachhouse is an historic building, dating to the mid 1800s. It was a stagecoach stop for travellers en route from Halifax. We’ve modernized the building, but the exterior, the ceiling, floors, and some of the plank walls are original. We’re excited to share this little gem with others. Kitchenette has a fridge with freezer, microwave, large toaster oven, and hot plate for cooking. Stocked with dishes and cutlery. Bedroom area has a comfortable queen bed, and the couch and ottomans are designed to securely adjoin to make another queen bed if needed. Curtains can be closed across the building to make the queen bedroom area somewhat private. Bathroom also has a shower.
We are in the heart of wine country in the Gaspereau Valley, and have several vineyards with a 5 km radius. Walk up the hill to Luckett’s state of the art vineyard or take the Magic Wine Bus to visit a number of the local vineyards nearby. We are conveniently less than an hour’s drive to Halifax and the airport. We are minutes to Wolfville and Acadia University.

  • Could not have asked for a better place to stay. The house clean and well taken care of. The view was amazing. Such a wonderful place to relax and feel like a kid again. The house is conveniently located next to the ferry and allowed easy access to Nova Scotia. The host is so sweet and very thoughtful.

  • Beautiful, tidy beach house. Close to the ferry and a short walk to a shared beach. Great spot if you want to get away from the busy parts of the island.

  • Travellers, Beachside Haven is summer paradise! so peaceful and clean. We were made to feel so welcome. Our family of four was very comfortable. We loved being a few steps from the red sandy beach and watching the seals bask in the sun from the dining room window. The kayaks were a really nice bonus and the girls loved having bikes to ride. We had a rainy day and there were ample books, toys and games to keeps the kids happy all day. We are so thankful for our time at Beachside and would certainly love to return.

    Shannon2019-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • BeachHaven is just wonderful - a perfect place to relax, make wonderful memories, and to enjoy the ocean - from crab seeking to beach fires, swimming and walks along the shore, it provides it all! Donna and Marty are such generous and warm hosts that clearly put so much effort into making BeachHaven a special place for all who stay. It's stylishly decorated and spotlessly clean - we would love to return one day! Thank you Donna and Marty for sharing BeachHaven with us x

This year-round home is in one of Nova Scotia's most beautiful areas, the South Shore. Known for its abundant beaches, restaurants, shopping and music there is something for everyone!
Heron's Rest is a quaint tiny home nestled in the woods on just over an acre beside one of the largest set of rapids on the Petite River. Located just 1.5 hours from Halifax, this quiet and private rental is just off the main road giving quick access to the wide range of local interest and activities. It's the perfect location for a romantic getaway for two or a personal retreat. The house is fully equipped with a wood -burning fireplace (wood is included), fridge, stove, dishwasher and laundry facilities. It will sleep 2 in the main bedroom queen-sized bed. The large deck which overlooks the river is accessed off the kitchen and includes a BBQ and outdoor dining facilities. Guests can enjoy a quiet evening on the deck listening to the river and watching the stars or build a bonfire in the riverside fire pit. This is a wonderful community close to local beaches, steeped with history and full of charm. Petite Riviere is just a few minutes away and has a general store (complete with liquor store). Have one of their wonderful cups of coffee and enjoy a few minutes on their deck sharing a "yarn" with the locals. Please note that there is no public transit here.
This is truly a Nova Scotia neighbourhood combining locals who have lived here for over 8 generations and those "Come from aways" (CFA's) who have chosen Nova Scotia as their home. It is full of art, music, nature and wonderful people.
  • If you are looking for a place to unwind and relax, look no further, this is the spot. Gorgeous river setting that you can see and hear from the cottage. Be sure to take a walk down the path to the river and out onto the rock path by the water. This is the best view of the rapids! Everything that you need is here. We brought our meals and cooked there. Then you dine at a beautiful handcrafted table overlooking the river. There was plenty of firewood for the wood stove. Such a cozy spot. Definitely highly recommend!

  • The most relaxing cabin ever!

    Linda2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • My wife and I have now stayed in Heron's Rest about half a dozen times, in winter, spring and early summer. We've found no better secluded spot within 90 minutes of Halifax. We appreciate and enjoy the closeness of the rapids-rattling river, the cozy kitchen, the wood stove, and the proximity to Risser's Beach, Crescent Beach, Broad Cove, LaHave, and other locations. You won't regret booking Heron's Rest.

  • Sherry’s little cabin on the river is an amazing retreat. The cabin has everything you need and more for a comfortable stay away from the busy city life. The property is absolutely beautiful and private. We would love to return in the summer months to take advantage of the river! Thanks again!

    Lauren2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • Great space. The pictures do not do it justice. This is definitely a two person location but with that said there is lots of room for two. It is the very definition of quaint in the best way possible. We had two great winter days enjoying the river sounds and the enchanting fire in the wood stove. Would definitely recommend. Would be great in any season.

Thoroughly cleaned and disinfected home. With a virus on our hands, we will fight back. Our cleaners work above and beyond the rest to ensure a safe, clean, disinfected environment to put your mind at ease while travelling during this time. Astounding cabin furnished to an impeccable standard. Located in a beautiful open forest, it’s the ideal retreat for a laidback & secluded stay. Perfectly situated “away from it all,” we offer a unique escape. The nature in the area is immaculate. A wonderful chalet experience. Tucked away in Riverside-Albert, offering some stunning scenery. A guaranteed charmer if you are looking for a different kind of visit. With four distinct seasons, any time during the year is a great time to visit. So drop by, anytime. Hope to see you soon!
This cabin in the woods is spacious both inside and outside. The property is a great place to bring your ATVs in the spring summer and fall but a phenomenal winter haven for snowmobiles. The NB trail system is just across the street. The SENBSA ((URL HIDDEN) "the best snowmobiling in the east" clubhouse is 1 KM from the property. As well for the summer vacationers there are many popular tourist attractions within 20 to 30 KM you will find the Hopewell Rocks ((URL HIDDEN) the highest tides in the world. The Waterside beach and winery. Alma for sea kayaking rentals and Fundy Naional Park. After a day of adventure return to a chalet with a warm fire and a hot tub for total relaxation.
This is a remote location with a few other camps and homes within a few km. It would meet expectations of "getting away from hustle and bustle of the fast pace of life, like work, traffic and neighbours. You will feel the nature and serenity of the mountain and the woods. Make sure you bring enough food and supplies for a few days so you don't have to go to the City or town for supplies. But if you do, the closest convenience store is 10 km down the mountain to Riverside Albert.

20min from Annapolis Royal with it's vibrant seasonal Farmers Mkt., Gift & Antique Shops, Restaurants, Arts & Culture. 5min to Port Royal Habitat., 25min to Upper Clements. But really, why go anywhere?. Everyone loves Jimmy's Cottage. This place is good for your soul. Amazing view of The River & The North & South Mountains that form The Valley. Access to beach is at end of lot , be amazed at the high & low tides., hunt for sea glass & watch seals. My place is good for solos, cpls &, families.
Master bedroom is on the main floor. 2 other small bedrooms are in the converted attic. Please note that The Cottage maximum is 4 adults (there is only one bathroom (off the kitchen) and the bedrooms in the attic are just 2 small rooms with beds (see pics). It gets hot upstairs in the summer, and chilly in the winter, but there are fans and heaters in both rooms. Hot Tub back up and running :)
Pls note this Cottage is in Port Wade ( Postal Code points to Granville Ferry)
  • We are return guests to this lovely cottage. Such a great place to unwind and enjoy nature. Sandra is a gem to deal with!

    Nicole2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Jimmy’s cottage most definitely exceeded our expectations. It was so cute and cozy, exceptionally clean and tidy. The location is spot on with many places to Hike and adventure close by. The cottage overlooks the ocean, providing a great view when dining or relaxing in the hot tub outside. Sandra and Jim were great hosts, I could text them at any point and receive a reply very quickly. They were so kind to provide complementary drinks to get us started on our vacay, and a smart TV and wifi(with good connection!!) to enjoy as well. Overall, a 5 stars is definitely deserved here. Thank you for helping us make our weekend so wonderful!

    William2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Highly recommend this place- quite the view! The very friendly touches of the cottage make all the difference for a weekend getaway. We will be delighted to return.

  • We stayed for a long weekend in the winter and it was so cozy! The woodstove is great and really warms up the whole cottage! Sandra and Jim left a really great supply of wood and kindling for us. The hot tub under the stars, overlooking the ocean was dreamy. We had such a lovely time. Get over to Pension Pies if you can (roadside sign on your way back towards Annapolis Royal/Halifax) or stop by their stall at the market!! Swoon over those pies and scones, I'm tellin' ya. This cottage was lovely - plus, great value!

    Robyn2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • My parents had a great stay at Sandra and Jim’s cottage! Loved the hot tub and woodstove, and just a short drive to Annapolis Royal.

    Shelley2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely charming place. It was the first time I've felt truly relaxed in years - I attribute it to the woodstove and hot tub! Bed was comfy (king size memory foam), the beach combing was great, and Sandra was very helpful and friendly.

Welcome to our quaint Cape Cod style home with spectacular panoramic views of the Chebogue River. This secluded house is conveniently located only 10 minutes away from all the amenities downtown Yarmouth has to offer, including restaurants, shopping, and the ferry terminal.
Our house is located on the Chebogue River (saltwater) and is at the mouth of the Bay of Fundy, which has the highest tides in the world. On the first floor, you will find a garage (manual door) as well as the washer and dryer. The living area is located on the second floor and offers a spectacular panoramic view of the water and surrounding area with floor to ceiling windows. There are two bedrooms, one with a queen sized bed and one with a double bed. Both have brand new mattresses to provide you with a comfortable sleep after you spend your busy days exploring the area. The bathroom has a walk-in shower that is very easy to get in and out of. In the morning, you can grab a tea or coffee from the bar in the living room and sit and watch the boats go by. On a nice day, the deck is a great spot to sit with a book and relax, or the perfect spot to have dinner. Take the kayaks out on the river when the weather is nice. The house has high speed wireless internet, as well as Netflix on the TV. The house has a heat pump system which can easily be adjusted with a remote control to keep you warm in the winter or cool in the summer. We hope you enjoy your stay!
The location is great because you will be a short 5-10 minute drive from grocery stores, shopping a well as the downtown, but also nice because it is a very private, secluded space you can enjoy to yourself. Our house is the only one on the street and overlooks a saltwater river facing East, so it has beautiful morning light and sun rises.
  • Hands down my favourite Airbnb in Nova Scotia and one of my favourites anywhere in the world. This was my third time staying there. The house is so relaxing and cosy. The most beautiful sunrise I have ever seen was from this living room the first time I stayed. Great place to write, birdwatch and stare at the tide come in and out. Comfy bed, everything you need to make food, Jessica is so friendly and responsive. This is one of those places you almost don't want to recommend because you want it to be available for when you want to stay!!! But Jessica has created such a perfect spot and deserves to have this place booked up! The way the light shines into this house throughout the day is so stunning. Can't recommend it enough. I hope to return for a week to get some writing done soon.

  • The place is very cute and private. A very nice weekend!

    Lee Anne2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely amazing. A fantastic spot that is close to town, but located to give you a feel of privacy. The house is layed out beautifully and the view was amazing. Jessica left everything you would need to know about the house and the town. The coffee and espresso machine was very appreciated! We look forward to using this spot again.

  • This place far exceeded my expectations! It was comfortable, stylish, clean, cozy, and just BEAUTIFUL. The view is unbeatable, it's silent, private, and truly a break from the day to day. I highly recommend!

  • Great views and a stylish modern and welcoming space. Great coffee/ tea available.

    Lori Ann2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • What a beautiful home! All the amenities and little touches (like the coffee making facilities) make it extra special. Even a power outtage from a storm didn't ruin our stay at the house with all the help and attention we received. Gorgeous views of the sunrise over the river too. There's everything you need here. Shower was great too and WiFi all good. Would highly recommend as hosts and accommodation for anyone visiting the area. Thank you so much

A Cabin Down Below This is the ultimate spot to get away from it all. The Wentworth Valley is a quiet, untouched area of Nova Scotia that offer miles of hiking trails, waterfalls, ATV trails, incredible fishing and the best skiing in the province. It’s also the perfect spot to put on a fire, put on a record, hop in the hot tub and stay put for an entire weekend.
It’s an A frame cabin with 2 bedrooms and a tv room with a pull out sofa. It sits on an acre of very private land with trails and brooks right out the back door. Fire pit and hot tub set the scene for the outside and a cast iron gas stove keeps the inside warm.
Less than 10 Minutes from Ski Wentworth, High Head Hiking Trail, waterfalls and the Wentworth Market. 20-30 Minutes from Tatamagouche and Fox Harb’r, Wallace and just another 15 minutes will get you to Sugar Moon Farms (well worth the drive)

Easy to find, super clean, awesome vintage decor, big records that gives you that extra vintage feels -- we loved it, pet friendly which was a must for us, nice little forest behind the cabin to do snowshoeing, a decent size firetub to make the perfect smores, and the best for last -- the hot tub was amaaaazingly relaxing with the little lights and the sky full of stars. Until next time, cheers Steph n Liam. Alex + Miranda

Our 25’ x 8.5’ tiny house is situated on a beautiful secluded piece of ocean front property in Port Hood with a private beach and spacious deck. There is a loft with a queen sized bed and a sofa in the main area that turns into a double bed. There is a 3 piece bathroom in the back underneath the loft as well as a second small private room with enough space to set up a pack n' play.
Our tiny house offers a unique and refreshing vacation experience. It is completely off-grid, but with all of the common comforts of any home. It’s a great way to disconnect and unwind. The house is perched above a lovely stretch of private rocky coastline that is easily accessible from a path directly in front of the house. You could spend hours exploring on the rock beach below looking for drift wood, rocks, fossils and sea glass or stroll over to the sandy beach, located a 5 minute walk away - It boasts some of the warmest warmest water north of the Carolinas. Our tiny house is solar powered, propane heated and water is supplied by an onsite well. The kitchen is fully equipped, but because we run on solar power, there are a few kitchen appliances that we do without. For instance, we don’t have an oven or microwave. Instead, we have a built in propane cooktop. We also have a 3.8 cubic foot fridge with a small freezer that’s compatible with our solar system and is plenty big for your food and drink during your stay. There is a three piece bathroom with a shower, sink, and toilet. Hair dryers and straighteners cannot be used at the tiny house because they are not compatible with our solar panel system. The loft has panoramic windows so you can sit up in the queen sized-bed and look out to the ocean. The sound of waves breaking below will lull you to sleep. The loft is accessible by a wide fixed ladder. There is a couch in the common area that slides out to make a double bed. There is also a small private room in the back with the option to set up a pack and play crib. There is a propane burner and lobster pot available to use at the tiny house. You can buy fresh lobsters at the harbour to cook and enjoy. We do not allow lobsters to be cooked inside, but have a left a guide on how to prepare your authentic lobster supper at the tiny house. The tiny house is cozy and comfortable and is the perfect getaway for your vacation.

  • Amazing location!! Gorgeous view, and quite private. Never had to use the heater because the house was warmed up nicely during the days from the sun through all the windows. Really enjoyed listening to and watching the fishing boats heading in and out.

  • Amazing location. Stunning views. Great hosts. We'd love to go back!!!

  • Bothan Baeg is a perfect place for a tranquil getaway, falling asleep and waking to the sounds of the ocean. The “tiny house” has everything you need and more!! Super sweet and cozy and can’t beat breakfast there watching the eagle aerial acrobatics. Lots of great local beaches and surrounding areas to explore. However, you may choose not to even leave Borhan Baeg. We would highly recommend.

  • Hey Friends , Such a wonderful place to stay ! Peg and Ed are the best :) i will definitely recommend this place to spend a quality time with your loved ones :) Thanks Arvind and Keerthana

    Arvind2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • The best Airbnb I have ever stayed at. Should be your #1 choice whenever visiting Wolfeville or Port Williams. Amazing people and an amazing place.

    Joe2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • The nook is the perfect location for a cozy birthday getaway! I had never been to Port Williams before, but was pleasantly surprised with the restaurants and breweries within a minute walk of this location. Peg and Ed were incredibly welcoming and thoughtful and even left us a delicious little birthday treat! If you have the chance to stay here I would highly recommend you take it!

    Amy2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • Peg & Ed go above and beyond. The location is fantastic and the small touches did not go unnoticed!

    Mallorie2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Had an amazing time at the Peg & Ed's Place "the Nook". The place was spotless and every little detail was perfect. The attention to detail and the care they take with the property really shows. The is a perfect location for a romantic gateway or a family vacation and is just outside of the city in a beautiful little town. The price is great and Peg goes above and beyond. Freshly baked cookies when you arrive, fridge stocked with breakfast, Nova Scotia Honey and delicious coffee from a local vendor, etc.. The only issue is that we couldn't stay longer. This was my first time using AIRBNB and Peg made this experience so easy, gave us information on attractions in the community and on the property history. It was an overall amazing experience and we would love to come back but for more than one night. Thanks so much!

    Clement2020-02-29T00:00:00Z

It was my moms birthday and Peg surprised her with a little chocolate cheesecake. What a wonderful surprise. We loved it. This was my moms first Airbnb experience and she was blown away by how fantastic an experience it was. Thank you so much. I can’t wait to stay here again.

  • What an amazing place. You surely won't be disappointed staying here. This cozy cabin checks off all boxes. It was especially amazing in autumn when the air is crisp and the leaves are colourful. The hot tub was the perfect way to end your day, with your loved one, while listening to the crashing waves, sipping wine and watching the sunset. There's also something very special about being inside, all nice and cozy and falling asleep beside a crackling fire. If it wasn't for a little thing called a job (Oh.. and children) I could live here. Thank you Heather!

    Mark2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Heather was beyond accommodating. The cottage itself is so charming with the wood stove and hot tub by the water. Though we didn't use all the amenities, there seemed to be everything available. We hope to come back in the future!

    Maria2019-10-24T00:00:00Z
  • This was my second time staying here, first time I was solo on a motorcycle trip. I knew my wife would love it even more than I did so booked a fall weekend here.. the wood stove and hot tub were amazing. Wolfville in the fall is great, farmers market, craft beer wine and lots of great food! We will be back!

    Jonathan2019-10-20T00:00:00Z

  • Great experience and really fun! Ben was a great host and quick to respond. Highly recommend it!

    Derek2019-10-10T00:00:00Z
  • Ben's treehouse is at once everything you're hoping it is and more. It washed over us gradually as we spent our first night, and first morning, there. The place is special! Everything you need is right at your fingertips, all the comforts of home, yet at the same time it feels like you're occupying your own little spot at the end of the earth. Ben is nearby and always willing to help out, though your privacy never feels even remotely compromised. All of the optional activities he has made available to you will doubtlessly encourage a little bit of adventure -- most people have ridden a bike or paddled a kayak before (Ben provides both) but how many of us landlubbers have dug for clams? I hadn't, anyway, and now I can say that I have. And it was a good time! Plugging those lights in on the deck as the sun goes down (most spectacular sunset you can imagine, it occurs right in front of you and reflects off of the water and the sand) and firing up the barbeque was a gorgeous, one of a kind experience. The bed was comfortable, everything was clean, and honestly nothing was missing! Everytime we wondered out loud if he'd thought of something, he had. I will say that going into the experience we were a bit wary of the price, and the fact that we had to spend two days minimum there. Now that we're on the other side of the experience, all I can say is that it was worth every penny and I'm so glad we had the second day to relax and take it all in.

    Adam2019-09-20T00:00:00Z
  • After camping in national parks for most of our trip ,the seaside tree tent was a splurge and it definitely didn’t disappoint. We had a lot of fun digging for clams and having a fire on the beach. The views at this place are amazing and the outdoor shower is very cool. Highly recommend this place, we hope to come back in the future!!

    Chelsea2019-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at the tree tent for two nights and we were absolutely blown away. This spot is a true hidden gem & we’re so happy to have stumbled upon it. The views were outstanding and just what our souls needed. Pick up some beer, wine, snacks & food to bbq & you will be good to go!

    Laura2019-09-07T00:00:00Z
  • Everything about this place is perfect! The outdoor shower gave it a special touch, but nothing beats the view! We will definitely recommend this place!

  • Beautiful location, wonderful wall 🏕 tent / 🌲 tree house! Great site location of tent platform w/ respect to cabin and other lots. Very private. Local guide very helpful. Kayaking to oyster beds was a highlight and delicious appetizer!! Felt like part of the tidal ebb and flow. Part of nature!

He was there to welcome me, help me with my suitcase and made sure I had everything I needed. If you want true Maritime hospitality this is the place to experience it. You wont be disappointed.

Beautiful, modern beach house directly on Kingsburg beach in a private, treed waterfront lot setting
Brand new (2018) architecturally designed beach house directly on Kingsburg beach. Unique loft bedroom, chefs kitchen and design elements throughout. Moments to nearby Hirtle’s Beach and hiking at Gaff Point. Five minutes drive to Rose Bay General Store and Bistro, 5 - 10 minutes to the Bayport Pub and approximately 15 minutes to Lunenburg - home of the Bluenose and a UNESCO World Heritage site. This is a special place for a seaside retreat and to explore Nova Scotia’s South Shore with friends and family.
Kingsburg is a quiet, picturesque seaside hamlet on Nova Scotia’s South Shore. Lunenburg is nearby (15 mins) as is Bridgewater (25 mins) with many amenities and shops.
  • This was our second time staying at the Kingsburg Guest House and everything was just as perfect as the last time. The place was once again extremely clean, and well stocked with anything we could possibly need. The morning light inside the house when the sun rises is something very special that I recommend all future guests wake up early to see. Thanks again for sharing your amazing space with us.

  • We loved the minimalist and stylish vibe of this cottage. A lot of thought went into the design and decor. The place was very clean, well equipped, and organized. It is a very private and tranquil getaway. The owner knows what he is doing. Amazing sunrises, too.

    Jennifer2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • The house was beautiful and perfectly located. Close to but separate from a number of other homes, but given proximity to water and direction of windows, etc. was very private. The area is also very nice. Close to Rose Bay General Store which has an LC and a Café. Also close to a number of really nice beaches. The house was REALLy clean, but not stuffy feeling, and well equipped. Easy and secure check-in. No fireplace which is always nice for winter stays (we were there late February), but the windows let in so much warmth and the floor was heated, so the space still felt cosy. One thing to note might be that to access the loft master bedroom, you have to climb a rather steep and tall ladder. If mobility is an issue, this might be challenging. (Or it might be a concern with small kids.) Though there are two back bedrooms. Otherwise, the loft is very nice. And the bed is very comfortable. Kitchen was a pleasure to work in. Fridge had a few items in it but was very tidy. Laundry on site. A great spot! We had a great time.

    Catherine2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing oceanside cottage, seconds to the beach! A little piece of heaven!

    Michel2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Exceptional beach house, very quiet and so closed to the beach. We were lucky to see deers from the window in the morning. Big windows with great luminosity. The perfect spot for a relaxing stay. Thank you for welcoming us!

    Tanguy2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely few days here in the winter getting cosy indoors and popping out for walks on the ocean and down the lane to visit the horses at a near by farm. Our 8 month old had a great time playing with all the toys & books on hand and there was enough space for her to crawl around and play. The kitchen had everything you might need and the bathroom was like something out of the Ace hotel. Bed was comfy and we had just enough room to fit a playpen in for the baby. All in all a great little winter getaway and we are already looking forward to coming back in the summer.

Our delightful authentic, cozy log cabin cottage, sleeps two. Overlooks Orwell Bay. 5 min. walk to a red sand beach, excellent for walking, beach combing. Quiet, private, peaceful, romantic. A truly wonderful haven to escape from the busy world.
Our authentic log cabin from the late 1800's is from PEI. We had it dismantled and rebuilt on our property. It is beautifully decorated with interesting and eclectic art by Kerras Jeffreys a PEI folk artist and glass artist Cathy Murchison Kro.
There is so much to do. A fabulous restaurant at the end of Pt. Prim Road-Point Prim Chowder House, right on the ocean, is open mid June to mid September, Blackfox Manor for cozy, elegant dining open year round,Kro in the Sky glass artist is 8 minutes away, Hannah's Bottle Village 5 minutes away. We are also 10 minutes from the Highland Greens Golf Course, 15 minutes to the Mini Mills, 10 minutes to Fleece and Harmony, 20 minutes to Kolezar Pottery. Cooper's IGA and gas station is a five minute drive where you can get snacks, groceries, beverages.
  • This is the perfect place to stay for a vacation on PEI. Jan is beyond welcoming and the cottage is comfortable and quirky, with much thought gone into being able to stay in a small space. Loved the wood burner and the view from the deck. The pictures do not do this place justice. Book it, you won’t regret it.

  • One of the nicest accomodation I have ever been. Charming details, wonderful view, friendly host. We had a amazing time there.

  • We really enjoyed our honeymoon stay at this truly unique log cabin! This Maratime gem is a one of a kind place that we will never forget visiting. If we ever get back to PEI we would love to stay again. Everything is as described and some! Simply perfection!!

  • With all the glowing reviews we had high expectations, and JAnaB's place exceeded even those! This is a true gem. Stay here and you will not be disappointed.

    Dan2019-09-28T00:00:00Z
  • Such a whimsical but well designed space for one or two people. The location is incredible and the cottage is really comfortable. We loved our 3 day stay and found it a great base for exploring the area but also enjoyed a wonderful afternoon and evening in front of the fire. Would happily return to this special spot in PEI.

  • Jan and Barrie’s place is clean, cozy and comfortable. The wood stove kept us warm and we enjoyed the eclectic decor. Such a lovely secluded hideaway. We even found fresh cookies for our bedtime tea. We are glad to have had the opportunity to stay here. We wanted something unique and we got it.

    Linda2019-09-20T00:00:00Z
  • The pictures don’t do this cabin justice! Great location, very clean, and cozy. Great little touches and fun artwork on the property and in the cabin.

    Meghan2019-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • This little cabin exceeded my expectations (and they were high because a friend was there last year). Jan is the ideal host-friendly and warm, helpful, and kind (fresh blueberries awaited my arrival!) You’ll hardly notice the cabin is small as the beautiful workmanship and decor capture your attention. And did I mention all the windows and outdoor space...spectacular! A short walk on the trails thru the woods and you get to spend hours exploring the beaches at low tide. In a nutshell, I thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of my short visit and will be going back next summer!

  • Beautifully redone home. The price was amazing. Why pay more for a hotel when you can have a whole house to yourself. Felt very much at home during my stay. The whole point to my trip was my daughter was in the hospital which was only a 5 minute drive away. Very convenient!

Comfy beds, awesome shower and super easy check in. The road can be a bit noisy, but it did t keep us up at all. The blackout blinds let us have a great sleep in too!

Stay connected with nature and choose the Island's only home of its kind! Our sustainable home is unique and welcoming, and is only minutes away from water, red sand beaches and trails. A beautiful, memorable experience that will leave you inspired!
Enjoy the quiet, peacefulness of rural living and still be close to the city! Our home is welcoming and comfortable and can sleep up to 6 with loft and pull-out sofa. We are only a 15 minute drive away from Summerside, the boardwalk, beautiful beaches, restaurants and live theatre. Confederation Trail, the popular nature trail that takes you tip-to-tip across our beautiful Island, is only minutes away by bike or foot! We have a small, start-up orchard bordering our property for you to relax in.
Wellington is a small rural community just outside Summerside. Our neighbourhood is quiet and friendly. We are in a good, central location for travelling and exploring all the great things about PEI. Wellington has gas, grocery and banking in town.
  • The Earth Ship is an experience everyone should try! The location was easy to find and close to small towns and beaches along PEI’s western coast. The space was cozy and included all the essential amenities. We loved the numerous plants and fact sheets about the Earth ships design and functioning as well as the books and games available. I would also point out that there exists a deep earthy smell that may be overwhelming for those sensitive to scents. It took only a few hours for us to become accustomed to it and didn’t hinder our enjoyment in any way. I appreciated the uniqueness of this stay and would highly recommend it!

    Marissa2019-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • The Earthship is an amazing experience! It’s really cool to feel like you’re living amongst nature in green/eco home. Beautiful space, amazing plants. Just a really awesome place to stay for a few days. Really makes you think about your place within nature. Stay here!

  • A very interesting house in a central location. Our host was very accommodating

    Scott2019-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • Jordan's earth ship is the most unique place you will ever stay! The little details you discover as you explore each room add to the overall character of the place. Communication was super easy, and we felt welcomed as soon as we stepped through the door, with a welcome basket and anniversary card left for us. If you get the chance, you have to experience the earth ship!

    James2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • This place is so unique that it creates endless conversations with the family about sustainable construction and living. It’s a well thought out home with features that made us think about conservation and the material choices made in building this home. It was comfortable and clean and had that fresh smell of plant growth from the greenhouse. It took a little while for our kids to get used to it, but never mentioned it after the first five minutes. It’s close to the Confederation Trail, and we enjoyed a family bike ride there. Altogether a lovely stay for a quiet post Labour Day week

    Jessie2019-09-05T00:00:00Z
  • The Earth Ship is outstanding! Such a beautiful structure, very comfortable and super close to great beaches and trails. Definitely worth a stay!

Our little house is located in the beautiful coastal forest of Baxter's Harbour, Nova Scotia. It is tucked in the woods, 1km away from the road and 1 km away from the majestic Bay of Fundy! The off the grid installation allows for lighting and laptop/cellphone usage.
The house is small and cozy, organized in one open space and a small loft. There is a porch on the back where we pile wood in the winter and use as a summer kitchen when the large cookstove gets to be too hot for the house! There is no running water, therefore no conventional bathroom in the house. We use water fetched from a spring to wash dishes and sponge bathe ourselves. The compost toilet is located outside, less than 15m from the house. It is nice to know that even though there is only one double-size bed, there is plenty of room to accomodate 4 more people if they are willing to bring their own camping bedding! We are absolutly confortable with that arrangment if it is what you wish, and there won't be extra charge. Obviously, by principle I need to mention that we expect from everyone to respect the land and the house just the same.
As in many small Nova Scotian communities, the people who live here give tremendous value to the bound between neighbors. You will feel the warmth and welcoming when meeting people on the road or at the beach. Expect many waves of the hand from drivers passing by, maybe stopping on the road for a short chat!
  • We had an incredible time at this little cabin in the woods! Andree-Ann and Shane are great hosts, and we'd certainly recommend this place to anyone that's looking to unplug for a bit in nature.

  • Beautiful cabin in the woods, wood stove was very warm and cozy. Highly recommended! Just remember there’s no running water - the host was awesome as the cabin was well stocked with drinking water and washing water so we didn’t find this to be an issue at all.

Entire top floor of multi unit home in Eastern Passage, Nova Scotia, Canada. Waterfront with breathtaking views of McNabs and Lawlers Island Provincial Parks. Less than 5 minutes from Fisherman's Cove, boardwalk, & beach. 20 minutes from downtown Halifax. Large flat, private deck.
Waterfront living in an old east coast fishing village that is growing up with the City of Halifax. Best of both worlds, close to the city but the peace and quiet of a small community.
Originally a fishing village, Eastern Passage is now a suburb of the City of Halifax. The owners great grandparents where from Devil's Island at the mouth of the harbour.

    Samantha2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • This cottage hosted by Lesa and Steve was the perfect little getaway for my boyfriend and I. It’s extremely close to Poley Mountain which was perfect for us. This cottage has the sweetest little touches (lots of board games, the decorations, etc). I was also impressed with the amount of supplies available; I cut my finger pretty bad preparing supper and I checked the washroom for a bandaid and found endless medical supplies under the sink. I was thankful for that because I needed it and the closest store was a decent 15-20 minute drive away. The hot tub was by far my favourite part. Very relaxing. We will be back ☺️

    Rachael2020-03-12T00:00:00Z

    Chris2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • This was the ideal spot to enjoy a mini March break vacation with the kids. The hosts went above and beyond to be accessible and helpful, the feel of the cozy chalet was perfect for a wintery day, and the hot tub was the best. Also, since the kids came, it was a perfect setup. A spacious bedroom for mom and dad downstairs, and a pile of bed space upstairs for the kids in the loft. It was an awesome space. Loved that there were so many board games to choose from and the kitchen was well stocked for cooking. We also enjoyed using the barbecue on the front deck. This was a really, really nice place to get away to. Only warning...be careful of your gps directions. Getting to the chalet is very easy but my gps took me on the scenic route very unnecessarily. lol.

  • My family and I stumbled on this property by accident and booked for a quiet night off the grid. This cottage/camp was well equipped, dog friendly, and the hot tub was a great bonus. In hindsight we should have booked a couple more nights! Great spot

  • Very nice place, would definitely stay at this Airbnb again

  • The apartment was great. The living room and kitchen are open concept with floor to ceiling windows that make the space very bright and inviting. It's on quite a busy street and you do notice the street noise while you're in the living room/kitchen. However, the bedrooms are in the back of the apartment and it was quiet there for sleeping. The location is great for touring downtown Halifax and there's a Sobeys right around the corner, very convenient. My only suggestion for improvement would be to make the water temperature in the shower hotter. Overall a great stay and wouldn't hesitate to come back, thanks!

"Magical place" is how many people have described my studio space on a large deck, dock in a private cove on an island with the best east coast surfing. Wake up to the changing tides, lively bird life and sounds of surf. Wood stove, loft add extra charm
This winterized studio has a wood stove and small loft for an extra person. The main space has two moveable beds to your liking so during the day as living room and night a bedroom. There is wifi and a provisional toilet at the studio warm showers and kitchen facilities are in the main house one minute away through a little magical forest. The main house is an open concept with two separate living and dining areas. The first living area in the front of the house is around the wood stove and window seat. The second living area is the large sun room off the kitchen also with a dining area. . The bathroom is on the main floor beside the laundry room ,off the kitchen. It has both tub and shower. The house has its special charm with cathedral ceilings and skylights in two different areas, natural wood and treasured eclectic collection of memories . My home is small but mighty with warmth and comfort .
AN ISLAND ... Surf , fishing village , outer islands to explore ,crows teasing the eagles, sand pipers feasting on clams at low tide. Diverse community of surfers, fishermen, artists . Experience a north east storm . Buy a lobster right off the boat. Bring your surf board, paddle board ,kayak ,use my canoe....hike the East Coast Trail. Lots of rentals for all this stuff. Beside Lawrencetown beach the main surfing beach about 8 minutes away, there are many other beautiful pristine beaches in the area and beautiful provincial parks . Full shopping services at Porters Lake about 12 minutes away . There is a wonderful country store with everything about five minutes way. Halifax ,our capital and historic city is about a forty five minute drive....lots of interesting life there too.
  • Expect outstanding hospitality and a welcoming, laid back experience at Susan’s! We had such a nice time at this ‘off the beaten path’ retreat for our first east coast trip. With a car rental, nothing seemed very far - there are local activities (surfing obvi), restaurants and some nice cafes plus an easy drive to Dartmouth and Halifax. It was really a pleasure hanging with Susan and her new kitten Anikin (best little cat, fearless, affectionate, funny). Be ready to “rough it” a little bit - but you’ll love the combination of quiet retreat + private forest studio (come and go freely) + anything extra you need (shower, coffee, fridge, tv, etc) inside Susan’s. From surfers to city girls, you’ll probably greatly enjoy this Airbnb!

  • Such a cute little place! Definitely worth a stay:)

  • Ton went out of his way to cook for us even though it was off season and his restaurant was closed, provided snow removal so we woke up to a safe clear walkway and even lent us snow shoes for our hikes. Great place, great guy.

  • The cabins were cute and cozy (even in February), and Tom was very helpful with tips around the area!

    Rachel2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • We had a very nice stay. We enjoyed the simple coziness of the cabin, appreciated the washroom facilities, loved exploring the property, and were happy to have a cup of coffee in the cafe. A simple and accessible getaway location for us. Hit the spot!

    Nadine2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Recommend this spot 100%. Cozy and clean with a view on the water for anyone who wants to enjoy a stunning sun rise.

  • This stay was absolutely lovely. The cabin was the perfect cozy size, and the location is great - right along the Cabot trail. Even in January, the cabin remained cozy - thanks to the space heater that was already turned on, having it nice and warm for when I arrived. Ton was great to show the space, and the washrooms which are a few feet away from the cabin. He also gave me some pointers about the area, which is always appreciated. We brought pizza & snacks from home, as there’s no kitchen appliances, but that was no problem as we were aware of this ahead of time. All & all, I have no complaints about the stay and would love to go back! Highly recommend the Zzz Moose! ☺️

  • Ton was the most welcoming host I have met, he greeted us at the door, walked us to our cabin and even lent us one of his frying pans. The cabin was cute and fit the 3 of us and 2 dogs perfectly. Even though it was snowing we were toasty warm all night. We even spent time in the evening on the deck cooking our food. And have to mention the beautiful beach and view. Then we had breakfast at the restaurant and I have to say, the best crepes I’ve ever had! A wonderful stay and will definitely be returning again.
