Really great hideaway on a farm in the Kent countryside. Well equipped and super cosy, would recommend!

Absolutely perfect location for a nice, stress free weekend away. The pictures do not do the apartment justice...spotlessly clean, plenty of facilities for cooking and some nice entertainment options (home cinema setup was a nice surprise). Check in/out was effortless and communication was great throughout! Will definitely return :)

We had a great time with Steve and Mel on the farm. The apartment is spacious and has excellent facilities and it is located in a beautiful setting. We have nice walk through the orchards and pastures with sheep. Nearby are making enough fun excursions. Steve and Mel on arrival immediately available for a short intro, but otherwise they let us go our own way. But we got a very nice touch! Thanks for the nice holiday!

Loved the flat. Was cosy, modern and the projector and turntable were a nice touch. Only downside was hadn't considered the difficulty in walking anywhere after dark and would have liked to have gone to local pub for the evening. Would book again, but in summer.

We had the most wonderful four nights staying at the farm. The loft was a perfect size and so comfortable. We loved walking around the farm and the views from the bedroom were beautiful. It was our first little family holiday with our three month old and he felt very at home there too. Mel and Steve provided a cot and baby towel for him also which made us feel very at home there.

The cottage is immaculately clean and is rural in its location. Raphaele has put lovely finishing touches to the place making it feel relaxed. Fresh flowers, a box of chocolate, wine and milk were all left for our arrival. The bed was so comfortable and the towels fluffy. There's is a small garden with table and chairs with pillows and a small wooden seating area. Our dog felt very at home in the cottage with plenty of fields surrounding it to walk her in the mornings. We did not bring a car and got around on foot but we are keen walkers. The walk took us about half an hour to Rye, there is also a pub ten minutes away which is an old Oast house which we had a great dinner in. Raphaele very kindly offered us a lift back to the station on our return which was so helpful. A lovely weekend away, we would definitely visit again!

What a fabulous place. We stayed there with our little Mini Schnauzer. The little cottage is beautiful. Very well equipped and stylish too. It had everything we needed. Gus, our dog loved it. There is a large field to walk in next to it. There are several pubs nearby, and of course Rye is lovely. We loved our stay and will definitely be back.

The barn is in a beautiful spot with lovely views out of the velux windows. The barn is well equipped to a high specification. There is all you want there. It is a quiet spot but with a variety of cafes and good pubs in the area.

First time using Airbnb and found it excellent. Jill and Nigel made the whole process so easy with a few emails before we visited making it feel we almost knew them before our stay. Can't recommend this place enough, a real home from home with very well appointed accommodation and lovely rural views. Ideal for visiting all the local areas and ideal for Rye without the problem of parking that staying in the town has. We found eating out in Rye in the evening really easy, though booking may be required for some of the restaurants. We really recommend The Standard, a lovely gastropub.

Clean and spacious. Everything was provided to ensure a comfortable and relaxing stay. A peaceful, private location (ideally, guests need a car). Combines beautiful rustic style with totally up-to-date comfort. Plenty of good breakfast places in the vicinity which hosts were very helpful in recommending. We stayed on a windy, wet weekend but felt warm and secure. Definitely recommend.

Jill and Nigel were amazing hosts. Their converted barn is beautiful and has a smart tv with everything you could ask for which was lovely for ending the nights on. Clearly a lot of thought was put into making this the best stay ever. the room was beautiful and very tidy. Nigel greeted us upon arrival and very kindly helped us with our bags. We love dogs and got the chance to meet their friendly Jack Russels, which we really appreciated. They also left us a very helpful guide of the surrounding area and recommended castles and sightseeing spots. We had a wonderful time in Rye and would definitely stay at Jill and Nigel's again!

Lovely stay at the barn - great setting and facilities and really well setup for kids. We went with a 3 yr and 6m old and had a great time - the pond and tree house a really fun thing to have. Communication with Lesley was great and everything was straightforward. Don't worry about the geese - we didn't hear a peep!

On arrival we were warmly greeted by John and Lesley and shown all the lovely amenities including the stunning lake and treehouse at the back of the property. The barn is remote and idyllic, but close enough to Rye and Camber to make this a perfect rural and coastal break. The barn is perfect for a couple or family of four and has everything you could wish for...plus a couple of roaming friendly Bengal cats! The kids have already asked to come back for another holiday, and that's probably the best review a place can have!

Absolutely beautiful place - the ducks, geese, pond, treehouse, views make it quite an idyllic spot and very fun with kids. The barn itself is well kitted out and very pleasant to be in - light and spacious, lovely bath upstairs & shower downstairs, handy things like a few books & games in a drawer... The owners were both really friendly and helpful. It's a lovely part of the world to explore - Camber Sands, Jerwood Gallery in Hastings, shops and restaurants in Rye, the bleak beauty of Dungeness... Our only tiny negative would be that the mattresses, though good quality, were too soft for us, so if you need a firm mattress for your back that might be an issue!

What an amazing place! A beautiful barn conversion in the most peaceful pure countryside you can imagine. So quiet... nothing but fields and woods all around. If you love being in the countryside in nice accommodations, this place is for you. (And the WiFi Internet is robust throughout the barn should you be needing to work.) John and Lesley are wonderful hosts - friendly and clearly available to help although we didn't really need anything. Five stars all the way.

We stayed at the barn for 3 days with the kids and we loved it. The barn was lovely, clean and perfect for our family. John & Leslie were friendly and helpful and their cats were lovely and friendly also :)

Lesley and John made us feel very welcome when we arrived and showed us around the property so we knew where everything was. The property is really well done in terms of decor and layout. It was the perfect space for 2 couples and a baby. The view is lovely and the geese at the bottom of the garden provided much entertainment for my 10 month old son. The property is nice and secluded but only a short drive to the local supermarket if you need to pop out for supplies. We had a very peaceful break and would recommend the property to others.

Just back from a really wonderful bank holiday at the barn. We have 2 boys age 5 + 7 and it was ideal for them. Lots of space, friendly cats to play with, ducks, a cool treehouse and pond with a little boat. The barn is really spacious and there are wonderful views from the top bedroom. It's a really quiet area off the beaten track, but near to so many places. We visited Eastbourne, Hasting, Rye, Camber sands and Bodiam castle. Communication was great with the hosts who are just next door if you need them. Would love to go back!!

The Barn is beautiful and in a gorgeous, secluded setting - far enough off the beaten track to feel like a proper escape, but close enough to Rye and all it's lovely restaurants. It was spacious enough for our family of four plus grandparents not to feel cramped and the decor was well thought out, comfortable and good quality. It felt like a home you could live in, rather than a traditional holiday cottage furnished with odds and sods! The garden was lovely and the pond kept the kids entertained for hours - feeding the carp and geese, rowing the boat and playing in the treehouse. John and Lesley were fantastic hosts - friendly and helpful - and sorted out one unavoidable problem we did have, more than adequately. You won't regret booking this property!

Charlotte's place was amazing! Myself and 9 friends stayed there for a weekend. There was plenty of space, nice and quiet surroundings, great location if you wanted to explore Rye and only 20 minutes from Camber Sands! Can't fault the property it's absolutely stunning, the pictures don't do it enough justice. We loved the board games in the games room! None of us would hesitate to book again, everything about the place was perfect. Fantastic host enabled us great privacy and communication

A wonderful house, with amazing surroundings. Plenty of enclosed, safe space for children to run around freely. Close proximity to Rye. Walking distance to local pub that does amazing pies. Beautiful, peaceful surroundings. Very friendly host. Highly recommend.

What a beautiful place! The converted barn is of a high spec. The interior is far better than I think the pictures give credit. The bedrooms are so comfortable and the bathroom per room plus a downstairs loo makes staying here easy. The kitchen is incredibly well equipped. The dinning table size and shape is very social. The outside space is great for Al fresco dinning. The gas BBQ was brand new. The two tennis courts were very well maintained. Location is beautiful with vineyards on one side and country on the other. The host was great helping us whenever we needed it but leaving us our privacy. I cannot recommend this converted barn more. If you are planning a weekend with friends with a group between 8 and 10 this is where you should book.

This house is in a lovely secluded spot but a perfectly located and within good distance from the local seaside and historic sightseeing. The house is perfectly suited for a large family but to enjoy the house at its best bring your own tennis rackets for the court and films for the DVD player. The kitchen is suitably stocked with enough to please a keen cook.

Fantastic place in great location surrounded by vineyards. As National Trust members this was also for us the perfect hub as there are plenty of sites to visit around. The house was perfect, we really enjoyed the tennis courts ( bring your rackets, we bought some); we enjoyed also the in house theater! The barn is fabulous, well decorated and definitely with a soul! We highly recommend for 1 or 2 families Enjoy

We had a fantastic stay at the vineyard...the barn was spacious and beautifully decorated enabling us to have a wonderful Christmas with friends. There is plenty to do in the area. We enjoyed walks at camber sands, wine tasting at chapel down vineyard and bike riding at bedgebury pinetum. We couldn't recommend this place enough. Thank you!!

What a beautiful place to stay. Our hosts Diane and Graham were so hospitable but left us to enjoy our break in their beautiful barn conversion. They had left us some essential bread, milk and butter and the not so essential ham, cheese, wine and lots of chocolates. It's a beautiful place and everything is of the highest quality. Just perfect. We spent 3 nights here just before the Easter holidays. The barn is extremely well appointed and in a beautiful setting. The kids loved the freedom to run around and have adventures in the woods. The hosts Diane and Graham were very helpful and friendly. It is also an excellent location to see a lot of great stuff (Pevensey, Battle, Rye, Camber, Romney Marsh, Dungeness etc.). Can't fault it, and have recommended it to our friends. This cottage looks and is as idyllic as it appears in the pics. Absolutely everything that you could need is there and easily accessible. We travelled with our 2 kids (5 and 1 and half) and it was a home from home with kid friendly touches everywhere without losing the super cool vibe of the decor in the barn. Di and Graham, the hosts, were so welcoming and made sure if we needed anything at all that they were on hand to help us. In addition we had full access to their greenhouse and vegetable garden which my kids adored and got to pick fresh vegetables! The barn is close to the gorgeous town of Rye and beautiful Camber Sands beach. Couldn't recommend this place enough. Accommodation and hosts absolutely fantastic ! Can't wait to get back .

Diane and Graham's place is the perfect countryside retreat. A sanctuary in the heart of the roaming hills of Sussex. The barn has all of the amenities and is very well furnished - making you feel at home but also on holiday! We enjoyed BBQ's in the sunshine, long walks in the endless countryside and nearby camber sands, as well as browsing antique shops just a quick drive away in Rye. Diane and Graham were great hosts - going above and beyond to make us feel welcome. We definitely hope to return again soon!

Sheep House Barn is an amazing place to stay. Very secluded location with walks straight out into the countryside. The decor and facilities are perfect. So much to do in the area. We had day trips out to Dungeness, Bodiam Castle, Camber Sands and Rye which is only 10 mins away. Diane and Graham are perfect hosts - welcoming whilst also respecting our privacy.

We had an excellent stay at Caroline's house. It was exactly as in the description, and was a perfect for a family holiday in Rye. The house was immaculate and very well equipped. The location was also great for walking into Rye. Caroline was very help full and responsive and we did not have any problems finding or getting into the house. We would definitely recommend this house, as a great get-away to a pretty part of the UK.

We had a brilliant time at Caroline's beautiful house. It is lovely inside - clean and tidy with all the essentials provided. The DVD selection is great (necessary when you have a little one in tow), and our toddler loved playing in the garden. Bathrooms are a great size and bedrooms quiet and very comfortable. Location is very good - short drive to the beach at Camber, and walking distance to Rye. We also visited Bodiam Castle, as per Caroline's recommendation. Fantastic place for a break by the seaside.

Caroline was very helpful, she sent out a detailed message about the local area e.g. closest shops to pick up groceries, good places to eat etc which was perfect for us. Rye is lovely town and the beaches and nature reserves were perfect for a quiet family holiday!

Our stay in Caroline's place was great. We felt at home had all we needed for a small family. The house is new, really clean and it has all the things you need to spend a few days. We really enjoyed having a little garden for our daughter to play and eat outside. Communication with Caroline was very easy and arrival perfect. Definitely recommend and will come back!

We had a great stay at Raphaele's cottage, Anna. Compact and spotlessly clean - it had everything we needed for a 2 night stay. Rye is just a 5 minute drive away and there is lots of lovely scenic countryside around. Raphaele was a great host and made sure that we were well looked after. We would stay here again for sure.

We made a very late in the day booking, and was really lucky to find this place. Comfortable, really nicely decorated, pristine maintenance and set up perfectly for a family with a toddler like us. Right near all the key spots in Rye. 2 nights was not enough, but we really enjoyed the cottage and the location. Very relaxing

No. 10 was the perfect place to stay in Rye. Check-in was quick and easy. We were provided with all the information we needed and left to make ourselves at home. The house itself is very cute and cosy but also felt spacious being spread across 3 floors. Plenty of outdoor space with the garden (with trampoline!) and a gate out onto the green behind the house. The house is perfectly positioned for the train station and local supermarket (about 5-10 mins away) and it's really quick to get into all parts of the town. I would highly recommend this as a place to stay at anytime of year. Would also recommend hiring bicycles from the nice chaps at Rye Hire (just around the corner) and cycling to Camber.

Rye is a lovely beautifully preserved Georgian town with great walks to the coast. We had a great meal at the Standard pub and fresh fish and chips at Marino's, both on the Main Street. Cannot recommend the cottage or Rye enough. We will definitely come back!

Idyllic cottage, perfectly set 5 mins walk to the edge of Rye. Beautifully presented inside, Charlotte was there to meet us and easily contactable throughout. We'd have to get used to the noisy seagulls' dawn chorus, but could happily live there - highly recommend for a couple or young family.

Excellent experience! Rachell's space is warm and cozy; everythig you need for a comfortable stay is available. Loved the cereal and croissant options for breakfast she provided, as well as milk, coffee, and tea. The bed was comfortable, and a travel cot was provided for our 9 month old son. We will definitely return. Looking forward to exploring more of the nearby area, and chatting more with Rachell and her family.

We had a wonderful stay. The size and luxury of the wing was way beyond our expectations. Rachell provided tea making facilities, biscuits on arrival. Rye is a half hour walk from the Oasthouse, so was perfect for dinner. Bed was comfy, shower hot and lots of bath and shower gels provided. Overall a fantastic stay, thank-you

Rachell was such a warm and friendly host, she welcomed us and showed us around, giving us tips on where to go in Rye and where to park etc. The house is beautiful, the picture does not lie, our private wing had a separate living room to relax in, and the most comfy double bed! This is a little gem! We stayed here whilst celebrating our wedding anniversary having visited Great Dixter the afternoon of arrival. Having the living area was the perfect place to relax and recharge before heading into Rye for dinner. Lovely and warm place located in the heart of the High Weald. The host prepared everything perfectly. Breakfast was lovely and we were not needing for anything. Great location for 1066 county as well!

Lisa and her husband gave us a warm welcome and we really enjoyed our stay in their lovely private annexe. The room was large and well equipped with a generous continental style breakfast provided. The location was quiet and within an easy walk of the local pub for dinner. Great value, great sleep and we'd happily return next time we are in the area. The archery on departure was fun too.

Our weekend stay at the Conifers was peaceful and relaxing and just what we needed to get away from the hustle and bustle of London life. Lisa and James were fantastic, attentive hosts and welcomed us very warmly. The property itself is a self contained cottage that has been newly decorated with its own private garden and is ideal if you are looking for privacy. The bedding was very comfortable, it made getting out of bed a real challenge! The continental style breakfast spread that is prepared for you in advance to have whenever you want is also a nice touch. The property is ideally located to explore nearby towns with Bodiam Castle just a 12 min drive and Rye town centre a 15 min drive. There is a pub not too far from the property which you can walk to for a drink or a bite to eat but remember to carry a torch with as there are no streetlights on the road. Overall, we throughly enjoyed our stay here and will definitely recommend to our family and friends.

Lisa and James made us very welcome and we had a lovely stay. They are very friendly and helpful, answering all questions promptly. The annexe was exactly as described with brilliant attention to detail in the amenities, as well as being private and having its own private garden too! The room was a good size including a small table and chairs. For breakfast there was a choice of fresh fruit, yoghurt, cereals, pastries and cheese and crackers. We were in the area for a wedding so we didn't have time to explore much, but the surrounding countryside looked beautiful. There is an old fashioned pub within an easy 7 minute walk from the property where we ate on the evening we arrived. The meal was hearty and homemade, and a good example of pub fish and chips! We highly recommend staying at Lisa and James'.

Daisy cottage at Cadborough was absolutely perfect for our weekend away. It was really spacious and comfortable, with everything we needed. Thanks to Jane for the stay. We had a wonderful time. A beautiful place, obviously very well cared for. The studio is very clean and well equipped. It is a great location, a short walk out of Rye where you get the best of both worlds, close to the town but as if you are in the countryside (we loved watching the lambs). Jane was excellent at providing advice on things to do and places to eat, all excellent recommendations. The only very minor thing is a lack of a hook for the shower in the bathroom but other than that we loved the place and would definitely recommend, 5/5 :-)

Thank you Jane for having us in your lovely studio! We were provided with plenty of information about the local area and walks, and basically left to our own devices which is just what we wanted. The studio is open plan with separate bathroom, with kitchen and sofa on one side and double bed behind a screen, which I think works really well for a couple. The bathtub was gorgeous after a long walk, and the whole place was utterly spotless. Great location within walking distance of the town (we don't drive), with a stunning view out the back of the farm. We had a great time exploring beautiful Rye and hope to return again some day.

At Gill's and Brian's everything was great! It is hard to find something that wasn't very good and even when it wasn't perfect they immediately fixed it. From the comfortable bed and spacious room to the perfect rain shower and the nice bath everything was better in then the pictures. The communication was perfect, welcoming and the breakfast AMAZING, complete, very tasty and full of choices. So it was not a surprise when after the first night I told Gill that I had used some books to elevate the position of the TV, they immediately place a nice vintage piece to do that and go with the decoration of the room. They know Rye incredibly well and gave us great tips to both facilities like bike rental, community bus and the best pub recommendations. Some people were born to be good hosts and they are the perfect example of that. Will most likely return if coming to Rye again and will definitely recommend it to friends.

The pictures are totally accurate- the room is luxurious and quiet and the bathroom is clean and modern. The house is situated a 5 min walk from the high street and it is surrounded by greenery. Gill and Brian were wonderful hosts- they cooked us a stunning breakfast and provided useful tips for things to do in the area. Thanks guys!

Really enjoyable stay. Our only regret was that we had such a busy schedule we weren't able to enjoy the house and hospitality to the full. Gill is a lovely hostess; she's thought of everything that could be needed during the stay and then tops it off by providing a gorgeous breakfast. We'll definitely return here.

Gill & Brian were great hosts and did everything to make our stay enjoyable from offering advice on where to dine to suggesting places to visit. Five star breakfasts, quality bed linen, towels & toiletries.

The Apartment was wonderfully presented and Simon welcomed us with a tour and a smile. The view is great and the restaurant downstairs is also worth a visit. We stayed with a ten and a twelve year old and where not disturbed by noise from downstairs . I would definitely stay again and would recommend wholeheartedly. 5 stars

Well it certainly is a stunning flat, beautifully decorated with some lovely touches. Simon made us feel extremely welcome, and left us some provisions to help get us settled. Location wise is perfect for visiting Rye and the local coastline - Camber Sands just over ten minutes away, Winchelsea is slightly nearer. The pub itself offers great food, if we didn't have two small children with us, I am sure we would have been happy to spend a whole evening eating and drinking in the bar. You do hear some of the noise from the pub upstairs in the flat, but Simon had pre-warned us, and it didn't go on too late. All in all a great choice if you want a foodie weekend near the coast.

Simon was a wonderful host, I could not fault him. The flat is lovely and well equipped, beds very comfortable and the pub downstairs is great with excellent food. Highly recommended. If you don't mind the road and a bit of noise from downstairs during pub hours then this is the place for you. The pub is mainly food so it closes early. The view is fabulous and very close to Rye.

We had a lovely stay at The Plough, the location is great and the flat is beautiful and very comfortable (we went as 2 couples). Simon was a lovely host and the pub downstairs is well worth a visit. Highly recommended!

Wow what a beautiful cottage! Within easy walk of Rye and with the amazing host Juliet. We really loved our stay at wisteria cottage and will definitely be staying again!

Juliet was an absolutely fabulous hostess and the cottage is divine! We were a very last minute booking and Juliet was so helpful and welcoming. The house is cosy, warm and utterly charming. The Globe pub nearby was a top tip too. I cannot recommend this Airbnb highly enough - ten out of ten. We will certainly be back.

A wonderful place for a peaceful break: my partner and I took our very new baby for some much needed R&R. We had a great time relaxing by the fire, using the lovely bath and shower, and dozing in the very comfy bed.

Juliet's house is a real treasure. We stayed for a few days and wanted to stay for a week. It is cosy and comfortable and beautifully decorated. Close to Rye town but surrounded by countryside it was perfect for us to visit the local area. The garden is lovely too. Instructions were clear and easy for arrival and check in.

I could ramble on about how great this cottage is. The photos dont do it justice . It was warm , comfortable furniture and bed, great shower. The kitchen is very well equiped. There is a pub at the end of the road and its possible to walk to town . There were some great walks for our dog and the garden is secure for all but the tiniest of dogs. Communication from the host was great too. We hope to return

Perfect Oasis to relax and unwind for a few days. Good base/opportunity to explore the local area - Rye itself, a couple of castles and a great walk along camber sands. Everything you need in the house and gardens itself - loved the quietness.

An idyllic hideaway. Everything you could need was catered for. Perfect to explore the surrounding area from. About a 10 minute walk into Rye, and then an hours walk to Camber. We loved our stay and will definitely be coming back.
