  • This little BnB is a perfect little gem for keen walkers. It's clean and comfortable, and has a lovely little enclosed garden perfect for dogs. If you stay here I would recommend a trip to Tavistock, such a beautiful little place. Everyone we met was super friendly, especially Margaret the host!

The Garden Rooms is gorgeous 2 - 4(+) person accomodation (we can add a 5th person on a put up bedwith notice) Modern, very cosy & a stunning private hot tub. Located in the rural national park. Located independently on the ground floor of a beautiful lived in historic country house. We're dog &child friendly. 100m from open moorland, &5mins to country pubs. We have huge skies, stunning walks for just you, the wild horses & the sheep. A fabulous location for space, fresh air & getaway adventures
We are a friendly, welcoming country house in one Dartmoor's most popular locations. We look forward to offering you a very comfortable stay and friendly, warm welcome within the private accommodation. We hope you'll find soaking and bubbling in our new high end luxury Hotsprings hydrotherapy hot tub - pretty special after a day of exploring. (On the odd occasion use of the hot tub maybe delayed slightly on your arriving day due to a warm refill and reheat or extended clean-we aim to have it functional on these rare occasions by the evening) it’s extremely rare that a slight delay occurs. The hot tub is for your groups soul use, it is not shared. We ask that the hot tub cover is always opened and closed by two people. This is lovely, spacious, cosy accomodation; there are two bedrooms and it's located within a private garden level of a large and historic country house (we can add extra children's beds after discussion if required), we've an amazing outdoor private hot tub- with beautiful sky's and Dartmoor air, it's really something to bubble the night away. We have wifi Internet and there's a flat screen TV with Freeview, a fully fitted kitchen with all the appliances you'd expected. The self contained Garden Rooms offers all the expected facilities and more including A Tassimo coffee machine. There's a large shower / wet room and separate toilet. There's a large private natural stone patio, and huge tiered decked seating area for outdoor entertaining & relaxing. The Garden Rooms are lit by an array of sumptuous gentle warm lamps adding very cosy and welcoming feel to what is the beautiful, airy, contemporary and spacious Garden Rooms. The house dates to approximately 1850 and is steeped in published history. We're only a 2 minute walk from open moorland and a 5 min walk from great local country pubs; it's only a 10 minute drive to Tavistock or the River Dart. There's a local post office, cafes and two country pubs in walking distance. We are also a very close walk to The National Park Moorland Visitors Centre. The main floors of the house are separate and our small family do live in the upper house, our Garden Rooms are on the lower ground floor of the main property and private to our guests; we offer the option for well behaved dog guests at a small extra charge (£10.00 per night per dog, we just ask dogs are not left alone at any point ( there are many many dog friendly pubs and some great restaurants too - we can send you an ideas list with this included information), we ask dogs do not climb or rest on soft furnishings and that they are cleaned up afterwards of course), this can be paid on arrival. Of course children are very, very welcome. We have safe key code access available if required, we offer full facilities for couples, familes or small groups of friends looking for some time out in a great location. We are only approximately 6.5 miles from Tavistock - and low cost Taxi fares are available if you fancy a night out with no driving; we'd be happy to assist you in booking a great local relaxed restaurant, or giving you some unique pointers of places to eat, drink or visit-so there's no need to miss out on finding great places. The area is fantastic for relaxing, and exploring the beautiful local villages and the local town of Tavistock. For the more energetic it's a fabulous location for biking (local bike hire's available), riding (local riding centres), climbing (The Barn), hiking, canoeing and kayaking (we can also assist you in booking great kayaking too with a family kayak business), fishing, photography and more... The Dartmoor scenery is hugely varied and really spectacular. There are lots of tantalising 'foodie venues', close by; plus markets and lovely shops in and around Dartmoors local villages and Towns. Dartmoor's a fantastic location to equally enjoy easy day trips to a wealth of north or south coast villages, beaches and river valleys (in Devon and Cornwall). We wish you an easy and relaxing homely stay. We don’t have outdoor lighting, although the hot tub has its own great underwater lighting and the patio doors allow light from the lounge to shine outside near the hot tub. Some guests bring a torch if they are arriving or departing The Garden Rooms in the dark - we recommend you bring a torch for dark nights. The Garden Rooms has some internal stairs, and also a couple of steps accessing The Garden Rooms and the private patio and deck area. Please be aware wet surfaces Inside and out can be slippy of course, and ensure you and your party are in good health to use our hot tub, there's also an wildlife pond. Babies. If you require a cot or high chair please give us a weeks notice to ensure this is available. Please bring your own cot mattress and your preferred baby sheets. We ask this of you for safety reasons and for certainty of your baby's ongoing comfort. (Christmas & New Year 2020 Only the whole property (Dartmoor Grange) including the private upper house is available to book - please see Dartmoor Grange as advertised on Airbnb. There is a 15% supplement to cover extras such as decorations, and treats over this two week Christmas and the New Year holiday period. Princetown is an historic working village located in the heart of one of England's finest and most famous national parks. The village and immediate area are famous for many reasons including Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's 'Hound of the Baskervilles', and the filiming of Steven Spielberg's film 'War Horse'; as well as incredible and very unique and varied landscapes: tors, high moor, river valleys, forest, Bronze Age settlements and amazing hiking and biking tracks . Chaplains House's Garden Rooms offer lovely and very well furnished spacious and cosy accomodation, and is only minutes from open, expansive beautiful national park. This is an eclectic mix of contemporary style and historic elegance, it's homely and a very relaxing. We price extremely competitively for the level of our facilities and have valued some really lovely guests. We can add children's beds or potentially offer accomodation for larger groups - please call us to discuss this. You will love the all year round large outdoor 5-6 person night lit hot tub! Inside The Garden Rooms you will see there is a sunken and very cosy snug bedroom as well as a second garden bedroom and a semi ensuite wet room which serves The Garden Rooms, there's a separate toilet and spacious lovely lounge diner, plus a very modern and fully equipped kitchen with all the facilities you may need (see our floor plan). The property was 95% fully re-renovated in 2014/2015. It's really lovely, and very welcoming. We look forward to welcoming you and wish you a great stay.
  • An excellent host with a beautiful property in an amazing location for walking, outdoor pursuits or just a relaxing weekend. The accommodation is spotless and well equipped. The hot tub was very clean and a lovely treat in the evening. Holls will help you with anything you need and is quick to respond to any messages/queries. Would definitely choose again if returning to the area.

  • The holls is such a nice place to stay! The hosts were so lovely and informative and the place itself is outstanding! We all loved the hot tub and would all recommend a meal at the local pub the Prince of Wales

    Tiffany2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • My friends and I had such a fantastic stay at Holls place, the hot tub was a big aspect of choosing this location and it did not let us down. We were all very warm and felt welcome for the few days we were there. We didn’t manage to get out much due to the weather but we felt right at home as soon as we arrived. Cleanliness was the best it could be, the beds were insanely comfy and the kitchen was like a home away from home.

    Mol2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely place with plenty of space. My boys loved the hot tub and we chilled and watched DVDs as we had a storm while staying. Holls rang to check all ok and all was as we expected- lovely. The kids want to visit next winter.

    Claire2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely place with brilliant hot tub and ideal location to explore the area. Dog friendly also which is a big plus.

    Matthew2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely lovely place! Very spacious, comfy big couch and very cosy. The Hot tub was the 5* luxury we needed after exploring the Dartmoor with our dogs. Perfect location to start loads of days out! The pub down the road, Plume Of Feathers, is only a few minutes walk and serves delicious food while still giving that feel of being the locals favourite. x

    Franziska2020-01-16T00:00:00Z
  • Another perfectly relaxing stay with Holls. Even though the weather wasn't playing ball, it was no hardship to spend a few evenings chilling in the hot tub. Cannot recommend enough!

A beautiful and tranquil Grade II listed coach house, recently renovated to a high standard. The house has its own gardens, self contained private courtyard, open plan flagstone living area with log burner, modern fitted kitchen with dishwasher. Upstairs, there is one double and a twin with a separate bathroom. The Old Coach House is within the grounds of The Old Vicarage, tucked behind the historic church in Princetown, a perfect spot to explore Dartmoor and the nearby town of Tavistock.
  • Our stay was wonderfully relaxing (I have been using that word a lot!!). The house felt like a home away from home. It was perfectly located, cozy, warm and so welcoming. Zoe was also very responsive and supportive (even to my silly questions) I would happily come back and recommend!

    Berangere2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • A very comfortable character cottage with thoughtful touches. Private location but very close to local amenities. 100% recommended and we will be going back!

    Julie2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • The Coach House is well located and has everything you need. The view out onto the Moors from the garden/ drive is a great start to your day as you head out. You can easily walk from the Coach House out onto the Moors , a real bonus. The log burner kept us cosy on a winter break. The fresh flowers, pint of milk and Jail ale were thoughtful touches , thank you.

    Veronica2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • Ideal location - walking distance from the pub and Dartmoor on your doorstep! Lovely cosy place, warm and everything you need.

    Samantha2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I stayed at The Coachhouse for two nights. We had a lovely relaxing stay; we knew Zoe was on hand should we need our assistance but liked that we were given our privacy. The accommodation was perfect for our needs and the location is wonderful for exploring the moors. We will definitely be back. Highly recommend staying here.

    Claire2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful location with superb access on foot to the moors. Cottage was lovely and well equipped. Recommended!

    Jane2020-02-01T00:00:00Z
  • Really lovely place. Directions were perfect, found it very easily. Parking and finding our way in were also very simple. The log burner was the best! We loved spending the evenings drying by the fire after our wet walks on the moor. Zoey happily topped up the log basket in the second day after we had used the first lot up. The kitchen is well equipped, we were able to make dinner each night very easily. Great sized bathroom with a separate bath, perfect for soaking your muscles after walking all day. To top it off the bed was also very comfy. The courtyard was secure which was helpful when letting our little dog out in the morning and before going to bed. Will definitely be visiting again

    Katie2020-01-31T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed here in January 2020 and the weather wasn’t great as expected so we enjoyed the local pubs and warm fire at Zoe’s place which was kindly prepared for us. We got to see some lovely ponies on our trip and would recommend a visit!

Be the first to stay in this beautiful wing of this former village church, tastefully decorated and equipped with everything you’d need to relax in this rural peaceful corner of Devon. Soak in your own private hot tub, or chill out on the raised decking area watching the sheep graze and the sun set, whilst listening to your favourite music on the outdoor speakers connected to Sonos. Play it as loud as you like, there's no neighbours for 1km in any direction!
Up to 4 guests can have the exclusive use of 5 rooms - accessed via your own personal door to the rear of the church. This area leads straight onto the decked walkway with access to the hot tub. The spacious Master Bedroom with a king size luxury bed and 42" LED TV and Sonos dock. The Snug - consisting of 2 versatile singles, that can be made up as a double or 2 singles, with a study area to the other end. The Ante Room - all rooms lead of this, and it's a perfect space to sit and read a book. The Kitchenette - all the things you'd need to prepare a basic meal, including a fridge freezer and washing machine. The Shower Room - A double power shower and generous sized bathroom. All rooms have a good wifi connection / Ethernet ports.
A stunning area of outstanding natural beauty (AONB!) with amazing views for miles around - you cannot see another house from this location, so make as much noise as you like! There is guest parking for 2 cars, and the local village pub is 1 mile stroll away. A convenience store is 2 miles away, and for larger supermarkets and restaurants there is the market towns of Tavistock or Callington just 5 miles away. We are slap bang between the 2, just 1 mile into Devon from the river Tamar.
  • A lovely, quirky place to stay. Gorgeous location, quiet but close to town and perfect base for exploring Dartmoor. The hot tub was a perfect addition!

  • Amazing! Everything was spot on. My first time using Airbnb to book a spontaneous trip and I couldn’t have picked a better place, the pictures do not even do this justice. A very unique place which I will definitely be returning to. Thank you!

  • Great host Amazing conversion Amazing sound system and hot tub was great even in a stormy weather Must visit in summer !

    Roxy2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely quirky place, which went well with a board game evening and scary horror film. Hot tub was fantastic (despite the horrendous storms) and the house was very cosy and warm! Thank you for letting us enjoy the very beautiful old chapel. X

    Lucy2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic isolated setting in the middle of fields. Lovely property with beautiful clean and warm hot tub out in the fresh air in the garden. 15 min walk to great rustic pub.

  • 100% recommend to anyone who wants to get away for a weekend. Its the perfect location, far away from any city but close enough to enjoy a day out on Dartmoor/ Plymouth. The hot tub was extremely relaxing despite the February weather! Thank you so much!

Covid -19 Due to the government advice against non-essential travel and advocating social distancing to stop the unnecessary spread of Covid 19 The Count House is now closed. I am contacting present bookings as the advice changes. Stay Safe! Claire The Count House was once a Mine office, now it is a light filled holiday cottage. Set on a wooded hillside with stunning views over the River Tamar. The private garden steeps you in nature with deer, swallows and brimstones all regular visitors.
  • We loved our time at The Count House. Beautiful inside and out. So peaceful with the only sounds being the Tamar rapids and the birds. Best airbnb we've stayed in to date.

    Jane2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely place to stay. We switched our phones off for four days and sank into the peace of Dartmoor. Appreciated things like the low-key communications, and the thoughtful, calm aesthetic of the house. Will definitely return, thanks Claire.

    Bec2019-12-16T00:00:00Z
  • The view from the house is really beautiful - the location couldn't be better. The house itself is very comfortable and well appointed, with a nice big wood burner. I would highly recommend Claire's place if you're looking for a break surrounded by nature. We loved our stay (and the friendly cat that came to visit).

    Siobhan2019-11-18T00:00:00Z
  • If a break away in a very cosy ,stylish cottage with every convenience ,that feels as if it is a retreat from hectic city life , surrounded by natural beauty and easy to navigate walks is what you are looking for Claire’s Count House is the best you are likely to find

    Brendan2019-11-15T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful place to stay, everything that you needed, a magical place to stay, lot's of peace and quiet just what the "doctor ordered", will definitely be returning. Sparkling clean and Claire our host was lovely.

    Jennifer2019-10-29T00:00:00Z
  • Our third time at The Count House and, after a very hectic few months, a complete tonic! So peaceful and relaxing, the house is perfectly located, nestled in the Tamar Valley with gorgeous walks right on the doorstep. The Count House is comfortable and welcoming in a wonderfully uncontrived, unfussy way. The bed is super comfy and waking up to that incredible view each morning is a sight to lift the soul. We were especially privileged to see a beautiful deer in the garden on a couple of occasions, and the visit from the friendly little black cat, who sat with my husband as he did a bit of painting and drawing on the bench outside was lovely, too! We'll be back in the Spring for more of the same!

    Kirsty2019-10-10T00:00:00Z
  • Such a lovely peaceful spot and very cosy cottage break!

    Edward2019-10-05T00:00:00Z
  • We very much enjoyed our stay, it was a perfect location to retreat from busy day to day life. The house had a homely feel, clean, safe and secure. Lots of stuff to do around this area, whether going for walks around Tamar river and near by places or visiting sanctuaries (we loved the wallabies at otter wild life centre) and even visiting near by towns and attractions.

The cottage is situated in a quiet location in the market town of Tavistock, but it is walking distance to the town square. It's only two miles to Dartmoor National Park, which you can see from our garden. A Victorian miners' cottage, part of the Tamar Valley World Heritage Site, it is cosy and refurbished to a high standard. It is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers, families (with kids), and pets. One of our guests summed it up: 'The cottage is an absolute jewel'
The Cottage is spacious and has been renovated recently, the latest addition being a wood burning stove in the front room. There is sitting room, kitchen and dining room, two double bedrooms and another with bunkbeds. There is also a sofa bed available for two more. It can sleep eight people. We also have a travel cot for babies. There is a stair gate at the bottom of the stairs. There are two toilets, one upstairs and one downstairs, a bath and a separate walk in shower. The kitchen is fully equipped with a washing machine and a dishwasher. Pets are welcome. The garden is free for you to use and we are a short walk from the town, local park, swimming pool and arts centre, with cinema. There is free internet and a smart tv. Also available are board games, books, DVDs, piano and guitar.
Fitzford Cottages are unique. We are part of the Tamar Valley World Heritage site. The Victorian miners cottage was built in 1862 as ideal housing for the Duke of Bedford's mines. We are situated in the town but in a quiet location. It is peaceful and secluded whilst being walking distance from the attractions of the town. Tavistock is an award winning market town with independent shops, an indoor pannier market and a choice of superb restaurants, pubs and tearooms.
  • A charming, cosy cottage in a great location. We would happily stay again :-)

    Richard2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely cottage! We all enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back again. It’s in a great location as it’s close enough to town but still very quiet. Unfortunately we only had a few days there and didn’t have an opportunity to explore in and around Tavistock much but there’s more than enough to do in the area to keep you busy. There is also a guide in the cottage of things to do locally and around Devon. Cottage was clean and tidy and felt like a home away from home! We headed into town on our last night for a great meal as there’s plenty of places to eat or shops are within walking distance of you prefer to cook yourself. We didn’t really have any issues but Christina answered any questions we had promptly and was helpful when we needed her.

    Lee2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • It's a lovely house & Christina is a good host. Only able to stay one night this trip however we'd like to go back again. The area looks great to explore.

    Jason2020-02-13T00:00:00Z
  • Christina’s cottage is lovely. It looks like a little cottage but it’s a surprisingly commodious place, beautifully fitted out, in a very convenient spot for exploring Tavistock and its environs.

    Sue2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely little cottage and we enjoyed our stay... great communication from the host... the only thing I’d say is go careful in the back garden if you have a dog because the gardens are all open, but the front little garden was great for a springer

    Amanda2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing cottage!! We stayed here for 1 night! It was our annual girls Christmas get together and we loved how cosy and relaxing it was! Christina is such an amazing host and helped us when we needed it! Would definitely recommend this cottage!!

    Nicolle2019-12-14T00:00:00Z
  • This lovely cottage is right in the heart of Tavistock. Just a short walk in to town. The cottage itself is a perfect mix of traditional and modern. It’s cosy and stylish and has everything you need for a stay away from home! Christina was really accommodating and helpful. Would definitely recommend and return!

For eating out you have 2 local dog friendly pubs within walking distance; the Dartmoor Inn and The Castle Inn. Both serve fresh food daily; breakfast, lunch and dinner. There is also the lovely Lydford Gorge Tea Rooms serving traditional afternoon teas, cakes and all sorts of delicious foodstuffs and within easy walking reach of the static home. I can supply you with home produce grown on my farm such as eggs and in season veg/soft fruits/salad. Again within walking distance and just opposite one of many access points on to Dartmoor, you will find Lydford Farm Shop. This shop sources and sells locally produced meats, pies, pasties, veg, cheese, salads, fruits, biscuits, pasta, juices, tea, chutneys and a whole host of veritable foodie feasts. Plus newspapers and is open daily including weekends. For nearby towns you have the heritage towns of Tavistock, Plymouth and Okehampton. A little further afield you will find Ashburton with it's famous cookery school, Bodmin Moor close to the Eden Project and Exeter for a stroll around the historic City.
  • This weekend stay was just what we needed after a few busy weeks at work. It is back to a simple life, with all the basics you need. We did some epic dog walks, and had a warm cosy place to return back to. We cooked breakfast and the facilities were more that adequate. Great location. Jess was fast to communicate and the heating was on when we arrived.

  • Perfect space to “get away”. Everything I needed to be warm and dry from the cold/wet weather and did some amazing big walks with my dog. Can’t wait to come back!

    Jenna2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • The place was as what I had expected (from the description provided). When we arrived, the heating was already on and it made us feel really welcomed. Especially with the stormy weather. Jess has been very helpful from the start. She was very patient with my queries and very prompt to respond. It was our first holiday with our two dogs and Jess has been very accommodating with our pets. The location was great for what we have planned for our short getaway. Plenty of walks and fresh air for our four legged family members and for us too.

  • We spent two nights here with our 3 month old daughter and would love to stay again some day. Had a great stay, despite storm Dennis trying to dampen our spirits! Jess’ place has everything we needed to keep warm, dry and cosy from the storm, and there was enough room to keep the baby’s Moses basket in the bedroom with us too. Jess had kindly turned on the heater for our arrival, and we were treated to the lovely view over Dartmoor when the rain finally let up before we left! Will have to come back again with the dog to do the walks we had planned when it’s a bit sunnier 🙂 would recommend - was just as described.

  • We spent a week at the orchard caravan in January and would definitely return. We stayed cosy and warm inside after our amazing walks on the Moor with our little dog. The night skies were stunning when clear and Jack loved sitting outside stargazing. We loved that there was no TV as our idea of a holiday is to steer clear of technology but it was nice to see that the thoughtful hosts had provided a dvd player and dvds for any children who might stay. It was great to have recycling boxes under the caravan including a food caddy. Loved being able to see sheep from the caravan windows and the views of the local hills were glorious especially at sunset when they would glow. It was great to be able to park right next to the caravan and handy for our dog to potter about in the enclosed garden. We recommend lunch at the Castle Inn in Lydford and the walk up to the Widgery Cross nearby gives breathtaking views. Outstanding value for money, warm and cosy accommodation to use as a base for getting out into glorious dartmoor.

    Bella2020-01-24T00:00:00Z
  • This place is an absolute gem. I didn’t want to leave. If you need some space, quiet time and a place to base yourself for Dartmoor walks, it’s ideal. I never imagined a static caravan to feel so much like home Thank you Jess and Judith Me and Lucky the cat loved it!

    Gillie2020-01-08T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay for 3 nights and I thought it was great value at £26/night until when I got home I realised I’d been charged £12/night for my 2 young children despite one of them sleeping on the seat in the caravan/ no bed. Make sure you check extra charges as despite clicking on the dates that were £26/night I was charged £155 for the 3 nights. Such a shame because we came away with a nice feeling and wanted to return but feel ripped off. 😕

    Gabrielle2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely caravan in a farm setting. Basic but with everything you might need. Fantastic location, walking distance to the local pub and Lydford gorge.

  • We really enjoyed our stay at Luke's cottage. It is in a great location and the welcome pack that greeted us on arrival was very thoughtful. The cottage was lovely and we hope to return soon.

  • Communication from start was very good, always got prompt replys from Luke. Great location, bus station only about 4 mins walk away. There's a number of great places to eat within a five min walk. Lovely cosy accommodation, nice kitchen with al the amenities you need. I'd certainly reccomend and stay again. So much better than an Hotel room which would be a similar price

    Tim2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely cosy quirky cottage close to the beautiful town of Tavistock. A very comfortable bed and a well equipped kitchen at a very reasonable price. You will have a great time staying at Luke’s cottage.

  • Great place to stay in Tavistock, walking distance to all local amenities. The space is ideal for a couple. Luke is a great host, although we didn't meet him, his communication was brilliant throughout. Highly recommend staying here if you're going to be in the area!

We have a standard single, a double-room and a King Size room for up to 5 guests. We are close Tavistock, Dartmoor, Plymouth and the North Cornwall coast. We cater for singles/couples, and business travellers. We can take and collect guests from inns and restaurants within a 5 mile radius of our home. We keep poultry, and guests may like to collect their own eggs for breakfast when available. Continental breakfast is included or a cooked breakfast available for additional cost.
Guests have a single bed with use of the guest bathroom adjacent to the bedroom. The bathroom has a walk-in shower, handbasin, bath and loo. Guests have sole use of the sitting room with TV and an inglenook fireplace with wood burning stove. The wood burners are lit in the autumn and winter months. A selection of bottled beers and wines are available for a suggested donation however we do ask that red wine is not taken upstairs but is consumed in the dining or sitting room areas. We are lucky to have several inns and restaurants nearby that serve good food and your hosts are happy to take and collect guests within a 5 mile radius for a small donation. We have a fairly large garden with places to sit and read, have a coffee or a glass of something. In the summer the lawn is usually set up for garden croquet which guests are welcome to play between themselves or with the hosts. We don’t provide evening meals but guests are welcome to collect a takeaway from town and eat in the dining room or if they wish there is a barbecue that can be lit if required. Continental breakfast is included and provided in the dining room with a toaster and coffee and tea making facilities. Cooked breakfast can be provided by prior arrangement for an additional fee.
We are within a hamlet set in a rural location. There are views from to the east over Dartmoor. Our neighbourhood is friendly and all of our neighbours are well versed with helping each other out when needed. Although being only 2.25 miles from Tavistock we would strongly advise that guests coming to Cherry Tree Cottage either have their own transport or make alternative arrangements before arrival as we are not on a bus route.
  • Steve snd Suzie have a lovely cottage with good bedrooms and a lovely sitting room with wood burner and also breakfast room with a wood burner. Really nice waking up to the sound of the birds in the countryside. Will definitely look to stay here again

  • Lovely cottage and two wonderful hosts who will do everything to make your stay homely 👍🏼

    Alena2019-12-20T00:00:00Z
  • Steve and Suzie are a very lovely and welcoming couple. very hospitable and the location of the cottage is wonderful, in one of the best locations in Great-Britain. Don't hesitate to book with them. I would suggest to upgrade to the premium breakfast to take advantage of the nice eggs from their own hens, and the homemade jam. They have attention for detail and some things in the room I found very handy, for example the USB power connector near the night stand and the touch-lamp! I had a very pleasant stay and they are lovely people.

    Patrick2019-10-03T00:00:00Z
  • Superb house and lovely couple. Highly recommended.

    Steve2019-09-27T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent hospitality, accommodation is in a great spot. Very clean and the breakfast was delicious. I only stayed for a quick stopover for work but would be a lovely place to spend a few days too.

    Laurie2019-09-21T00:00:00Z
  • Steve and Suzie are superb people first and foremost. A stay with them will feel just like home. The room has everything you’ll need with a wonderfully comfortable bed and the bathroom is outstanding! Breakfast was an added bonus, as well as the interesting conversations too!

    Luke2019-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • Steve and Suzie are really lovely people. They were very welcoming on arrival and made me feel right at home. Their cottage is beautiful and in a lovely setting. My room was very comfortable and beautifully decorated. The cottage is in a very quiet location so I slept really well. Suzie made me a delicious breakfast each morning and offered to drive me places for a small fee instead of getting a taxi as the taxis are very expensive. I honestly don’t have one bad thing to say about myself, I thoroughly enjoyed it and they even gave me a bag of their freshly picked tomatoes to nibble on my long journey home. Very lovely and thoughtful people! I highly recommend staying here.

The Forge is a unique place full of character set at the edge of Dartmoor and only 2 miles from the market town of Tavistock. The Forge is a great place for cyclists and walkers, or if you just want to get away from it all. The Cornish Coast is not far and the city of Plymouth full of history is just a short car journey. Tavistock has the markets and lovely cafes and restaurants. The Forge has a log burner to snuggle up next too on those chilly evenings and a garden to enjoy.
The Forge has a log burner and under floor heating so it can be occupied through the year. The first basket of logs will be complimentary and after that please purchase from us. We welcome dogs and we just ask that dogs do not go on the furniture and respect that others will visit that do not have them. We can supply dog beds, blankets and dog towels for their stay if you forget anything.
The Dartmoor views speak for themselves, walking, cycling or just sitting watching the world go by eating an ice cream. There are some lovely local pubs, Peter Tavy Inn and Elephants Nest 16th Century Inn.
  • This is the second time we have stayed at The Forge and although we knew it was going to be a great stay we had forgotten about all the little things that Victoria has thought about which make the stay even better. As before the weather was not good but once inside it made no difference as with the fire roaring the place is cosy and very peaceful. We will be booking again when we return to the area.

    Paul2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • This is a real find. Everything you could wish for and more. The Forge is the perfect getaway place. Great location and so warm and cosy. We loved every minute and definitely want to go back.

    Lisa2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • A space that really lives up to all the reviews. Such a homely place to stay, and the location is fantastic. Such lovely additional touches. Felt particularly cosy even with the storms going outside. Hoping to stay again with better weather. Thank you so much Victoria.

    Rosie2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • Yet another perfect stay at the Forge! Victoria is the perfect host, and just goes above and beyond with all the thoughtful extras!

    Jack2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • This is a very well thought out, well equipped and cozy converted stone building, with a great location near both the open moor and the amenities of Tavistock.

    Katherine2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely cottage, spotlessly clean and extremely well equipped throughout. Lots of really nice extra touches like treats left for our dogs, plenty of wood supplied on arrival for the fire, fresh eggs and milk, so much more than we would expect. Great location, just a few minutes drive from Tavistock and our favourite pub the Peter Tavy. Host Victoria’s communication was excellent, highly recommend this place and would not hesitate to book again in the future.

    Jolene2020-01-23T00:00:00Z
  • The Forge is a wonderful place to stay - it is clean tidy and beautifully finished with lots of thoughtful touches. Would highly recommend to anyone and everyone!

    Holly2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely gorgeous cottage in a lovely location. The cottage is only a couple of miles from Tavistock town and really easy to find. Its equipped with everything you can need and more & Victoria has thought of lots of extra lovely additions (Prosecco, popcorn, dog treats, spare toiletries, etc). We stayed for 3 nights & went out hiking in the day & the cottage was the perfect retreat to return to. We brought our own extra logs & kindling for the woodburner which I would recommend but the host did offer to re-stock for a small cost each day. I would highly recommend & hope to return in the future.

  • A great find for a weekend on the moor! Jane was a lovely host, very welcoming and approachable. The annex was comfortable and cosy despite the wet weather we had and had all the essentials you needed. Definitely recommend and can't wait to come again in the future.

  • A most delightful place. All spotlessly clean and comfortable and very peaceful. Almost home from home. Very generous breakfast items were thoughtfully provided in the kitchenette. All credit to Jane.

  • We stayed one night because we were going to an event in Tavistock. The place is a little converted outbuilding, maybe once a garage. It's spotlessly clean and Jane went to a lot of trouble finding vegan breakfast items. It's about 10 minutes downhill to town and a steep walk back but definitely doable. It's very quiet and has everything you need for a short break.

    Jane2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • Very good choice for host and home to stay at. Highly recommend this place.

    Rosie2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • This is a spotlessly clean and comfortable place to stay, with a wide selection of items provided for breakfast and snacks. It's a really peaceful location, but with easy access to the town of Tavistock.

    Rachel2019-09-07T00:00:00Z
  • Such a beautiful setting. Jane was very welcoming and we loved her 2 beautiful cats and their little dog . The room was great and the bed VERY comfortable. It was lovely to have a little kitchen attached with coffee tea and hot chocolate provided plus milk, fresh juice jam and butter plus bread but the cooked breakfast was 1st class. Every thing was very clean and spacious parking. We can't wait to go back.

  • Lisa’s place was lovely. The area was lovely and quiet and peaceful right in Dartmoor national park. We were even greeted by some fudge and a lovely welcome card. The bungalow was very clean and had everything we needed for a short stay. We had a very lovely few days and I would happily recommend Lisa’s place to anyone!

  • The attention to detail that ensures the guest wants for nothing is incredible. I’ve never seen such a comprehensively put together information pack on the place and the area. There are lots of thoughtful touches and the location itself is stunning and quiet. As a countryside getaway it’s a top spot to hideaway, the internet is hit or miss, but who cares, it’s all about disconnecting on Dartmoor! Charming bungalow, great hosting and lots to do nearby!

  • Wilson Cottage is set in beautiful countryside but is close enough to everything you might need, from days out & long walks to quirky towns and supermarkets. The cottage itself is fully equipped with all the amenities you need and the bed is super comfy. Lisa & Jeremy made us feel very welcome, gave us the space we needed to relax and we had a fab time -hoping to go back again sometime and explore more of the beautiful surroundings. Highly recommend for those needing a break from the faster pace of life to recharge the batteries and explore the great outdoors. Our dog had a great time too, managing to relax and settle in just as easily as us!

  • Wilson Cottage is nestled at the end of a short Road among other converted farm/barn buildings. The accommodation has a high quality finish and is very comfortable. The bed was perfect. The hosts (Lisa and Julian) were great and very communicative. This cottage is perfect for anyone wishing to explore the Dartmoor area, but also has quick access to Tavistock or to the A30 to get further afield. Compact but light and airy. The terrace and garden were great with excellent sunset views, with a smattering of sheep and lambs adding a note to the birds. Loved this stay. Highly recommended.

  • Exactly as pictured, great welcome basket and host very keen to ensure everything was ready. A lovely area of Devon at the bottom of a lane which was ideal for a morning walk, with close access to lots of other lovely walks and Tavistock is a great place & not far away. We were able to take our 2 dogs, which is an added bonus. Space was thoughtfully decorated and you can see everything has been well thought through. Everything we needed was there.

    Tina2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Annie is a marvellous host, the welcome pack was most welcoming! The accommodation is lovely and warm, even in the middle of January. This really is a great bolt hole just a few minutes drive from Tavistock, we hope to be back.

We found the cottage spotlessly clean, very well appointed with a welcome basket of essentials including bread and eggs.....and brownies. The real bonus was our great hosts, Annie and Alistair who made us feel very comfortable. We will certainly return.

    Jacquelyn2019-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • We booked a 3 night stay and had a lovely time. The cottage is nicely decorated and very cosy, made extra special by the welcome hamper. It had everything we needed and was a great location for exploring Dartmoor and days out.

    Charlotte2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • I booked this stay for my parents. Annie’s communication was great. It was a lovely rural retreat for them away from the hustle and bustle and good all being on one level so no stairs etc to negotiate.

    Emma2019-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • Great little cottage on the edge of Dartmoor just a few mins drive to Tavistock and the moors.

  • Fab little cottage for a break away from the city. Perfect for having a relaxing break or a great location for touring Devon/Cornwall. Annie was lovely and made us feel very welcome

  • A cute place to stay with beautiful countryside all around. Lots to do and see close by.

    Ruth2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful time at the Granary! The house is a perfect little cottage, beautifully furnished and very practical. It is located on a farm and you can take all kinds of hikes from there, but you can also simply stay in and have a few cosy days. There is a farm shop not far up the road, which sells fresh fruits and vegetables, as well as bread, cheese, milk, eggs and other essentials. Although the Granary is somewhat remote, it is possible to arrive on foot from Tavistock, which is only about a one hour walk away. The landscape is somewhat hilly, but nothing too steep. Katie was a perfect hostess and helped us out a lot with maps and bus times for the region. We could always reach her via text or just ring her doorbell. All in all, the Granary is a great place for a quiet holiday!

Near the far end of the gorge a small stream cascades down the White Lady waterfall into a deep pool. There are lovely walks through Lydford Gorge with refreshments available at each end.

Kingfisher Pod at Milemead is ideal for those looking to get away from it all. It is located in a tranquil, west-facing spot surrounded by wildlife, directly overlooking a picturesque lake. Milemead is a coarse fishery, and fishing and tackle is available to guests. We are located 2 miles from the historic town of Tavistock, 3 miles from spectacular Dartmoor and from popular mountain bike trails, making this a great destination for walkers, runners and cyclists.
In the pod you will find details of recommended local places to eat, including takeaways, some of which offer a delivery service
  • The cabin is situated in a tranquil location and the only noise you hear is that of the wildlife. The cabin was immaculately clean and as were the ablutions. There was tea/coffee and fresh milk in the cabin for our arrival which was a nice touch after a long drive. We would definitely recommend staying here for a night or two !

Very friendly hosts- always happy to help me out and great facilities in the pod. Would recommend this for short or long stay as there is lots to do in the area, with maps etc in the pod.

You’ll love our cosy, comfortable home because we are 2 minutes drive from Tavistock and the location is within walking distance of the beautiful Dartmoor National Park. Ideal for walkers, a warm welcome awaits our guests, and we will try to accommodate any requests. For larger groups we also have a loft room that sleeps a further 2, which could be used on occasion. Flexibility is our key word - we can on occasion accept last minute bookings.
Friendly atmosphere, home from home experience in a very peaceful area of tavistock
Very friendly neighbourhood within walking distance of Dartmoor walking distance to town centre, bus routes to town and Plymouth. Whitchurch Down, a 15 minute walk, has a 360 degree view of Cornwall and Devon. Tavistock has numerous independent shops and pavement cafes, also good eating places. Locally sourced produce is high on the agenda here. Cinema and swimming pool.
  • Great place to stay. Nicole was helpful when I made the booking. I received a very warm welcome when I arrived and was given good advice on how to travel to my location the next day. Tea and coffee making facilities in the bedroom as well as toiletries which was great as we stayed three nights. The bed, pillows and bedding were very comfortable, and the room was bright and warm. There was a good choice at breakfast with homemade jams and marmalade as well as porridge, poached eggs, fresh fruit, toast, and tea and coffee. Built in 2017 in a large garden with uninterrupted views, from both the cabin and decking, of the River Tamar. Ideal retreat for artists, writers, walkers and nature lovers. The garden is unsuitable for children as it is steep, well behaved dogs welcome provided they don't launch themselves into the river as the only access is by a ladder. There is strictly no fishing. Just enjoy a natural habitat, which is plentiful. You might see kingfishers, otters, cormorants, leaping fish, hope so!
The Ottery was originally built as an artist studio, but I decided the view was so beautiful I wanted to share it with other nature and peace lovers. It was completed in April 2017 and is situated at the end of my garden. It has wooden floors in the living areas and tile in the bathroom. It has decking on 2 sides with a table and chairs to enjoy nature. In the winter it is cosy but, it is a cabin, and does not have double glazing but gets warm quickly when the fire is lit, for which kiln dried wood is provided. Warmth can be maintained with an oil filled radiator, this to me is part of the romance of staying in a cabin in the winter. There is a condensation issue in the winter as it is warmer inside the building than out, but a handy tool and kitchen roll is provided so that the view is not obscured. The cabin has far reaching views up the river and is situated close to an ancient monument, Newbridge which is a 16th Century bridge. There are 4 fantastic walks available by walking out of the front door, no need to use the car! When the river is being lazy you can swim from the garden, but you need to ask me first please so I can judge if it is safe as the currents can be deceptive. It is close to Dartmoor and about 30 mins drive to the coast. It has no wifi or TV, but I have provided basic artist materials (please bring your own paper), board games, jigsaws and books and magazines. Mobile service is excellent for Vodafone and 02, but for other networks you might have to go on the roof to get a signal! If you need to contact someone, provided it is in the UK you are welcome to use my landline.
Gunnislake is a working village with 4 pubs, a post office, general stores, an excellent butchers and a hardware and gift shop. It is situated about 200 meters from the cabin, but up a very steep hill (good exercise) there is free parking for 2 hours in the village. Gunni has a train station and a regular bus service. The nearest town, Tavistock is 5 miles away and is a market town. Plymouth is the nearest city by car it takes about 30 mins and is also accessible by a scenic train journey or by bus. There are restaurants close by and food round here is excellent. There are no nightclubs! Villagers tend to be very friendly, and helpful.

  • Sue and Peter are wonderful, thoughtful attentive hosts. Their home is spotlessly clean and beautifully furnished. The beds and bed linen are luxurious and comfortable. A perfect private space for 2 adults and 2 children. Fresh milk, cereal bars, lovely tea / coffee and biscuit selection for on the go and a really lovely breakfast from locally sourced products, their own pressed apple juice, locally reared sausages etc. If the sun is shining there is a pretty patio area and perfectly manicured garden. A very lovely place to stay, I would not hesitate to book again. Perfect for exploring Dartmoor and Devon beyond.

    Monique2019-10-02T00:00:00Z
  • We had a delightful stay with Sue and Peter. Communication was clear and easy. They provided a warm welcome and a lovely, comfortable, spacious suite, sparkling clean with a view of the garden & hillside. We had an excellent night’s sleep, followed by a delicious breakfast, including apple juice from their own apples. The next day we walked up a local brook to the moor for sweeping views, then circled the valley—one of many great hikes Sue & Peter suggested, and right outside the door. A good, walkable pub topped the experience off nicely. Peter Tavy Lodge is right at the top of our list, after over 40 Airbnb stays. We loved every minute!

  • Amazing place! Sue and Peter were so welcoming to my family and so accommodating during their stay. The house was just what they needed and my mum said she hasn’t slept so well in years. As this is the oldest part of Mary Tavy it is also in a designated Conservation Area and within Dartmoor National Park. Cholwell Brook gurgles and weaves it way through the property and half a mile on it joins the river Tavy. The brook provides the tranquil sound of running water as well as an amazing backdrop to your morning coffee or evening glass of wine. Dartmoor and the surrounding area is stunning in all seasons and has fantastic opportunities for everyone to enjoy. You can walk from Homer over the river Tavy, through the village of Peter Tavy and be straight onto the moors. We are ideally located to explore the coasts of North & South Devon and Cornwall.
  • Super cosy and peaceful spot to relax and unwind. Alison could not have been more welcoming - the home made cake on arrival was especially delicious! A lovely place to stay and perfect as a base to explore Dartmoor and beyond.

This is a spacious modern house which looks out over Dartmoor. From here you can step out onto a quiet country lane and up onto the moors; or follow the path across fields to Brentor church on the hill. The peace and tranquillity will please anyone escaping city life for a short break. The spectacular countryside is wonderful for both walkers and cyclists. As the evenings draw in there is a wood burning stove with a basket of logs for your use. Perfect for curling up on the sofa.
Stepping into the cottage you walk into a spacious, open plan kitchen, lounge and diner with a vaulted ceiling. There are two bathrooms: one with a shower and the other has a bath, perfect for relaxing in after a long walk! The double bedroom is cosy yet light and airy. Outside there is a verandah and small peaceful garden with spectacular views of Dartmoor. There are two resident cats in the house. Oscar and Millie are independent but love people. You are welcome to feed them ! They have lived here for many years and enjoy the company of new people.
Brentor is a small village with no light pollution! It is peaceful yet easily accessible from the A30. A walkers' and cyclists' paradise, you can also be at the best surfing beaches in an hour.
  • This is the 2nd time we stayed here. When I asked my partner where she would like to go for her birthday, her 1st choice was here. It really is a home from home. It's modern yet still has that country feel, the log burner is amazing in the winter, we had an fantastic time just relaxing on the sofas with Millie and Oscar for company. The house has everything you need and Judith is a superb and friendly host. Thank you again Judith, we will be back again soon

    Paul2019-12-03T00:00:00Z
  • This little gem of a property comes with two very friendly cats, lovely views of the moors and also just as well situated to them explore them and wider afield. All the amenities and creature comforts you could possibly want "that being Oska and Millie". Judith was always on hand and quick to respond to any queries we had. On arrival the log burner had been pre-lit ready for us, which on a nice autumnal evening was just the ticket to make us feel right at home. What a great time it was and looking forward to our next trip down.

    Steven2019-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • Home from home - Judith's place is very comfortable and really feels like a home (perhaps because it is). Very spacious light and airy living area with views across the moors towards the village where I grew up. Wood burner to warm your heart and body. Oscar and Millie are good companions, even if you're not that keen on cats (!). Judith is a warm and accommodating host. Excellent value. Thoroughly recommend.

    Frances2019-11-08T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful home with everything you need for a cosy retreat. Judith was a lovely host and available to offer help and support if needed whilst respecting our privacy. Highly recommended place to stay in stunning surroundings.

    Bushy2019-10-30T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely time at Judiths. Her house is very clean, bright, spacious and comfortable. We felt very at home. The cats Millie and Oscar are very affectionate and welcoming. The kitchen is well equipped. Judith very kindly left bread butter jam, milk, tea and coffee and is happy for visitors to use her condiments. There are two bathrooms one with a bath and shower (for hair) and the other a shower. There is a lounge diner which looks onto a lovely little garden. The property also has off road parking. We would certainly stay again and would not hesitate to recommend it.

    David2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay, the house is cosy, homely, stylish and in a great location close to the moor and Tavistock. We had a relaxed weekend exploring local National Trusts. The friendly cats were an added bonus to come home to at the end of the day. We were thankful for amenities that were supplied such as tea, coffee, milk, bread, towels and shower gel. There were also local guides and attractions flyers provided. This house was a home from home, clean, tidy and amazing value. Judith was easy to contact and always replied quickly throughout the booking process. We would highly recommend for a chilled relaxed stay.

    Sarah2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • Of course, the big attraction if you enjoy the company of felines is Oscar and Millie at Judith’s place. They were wonderful to be around, lovely personalities, and made a great stay extra memorable. Judith had thoughtfully left a variety of provisions which was really appreciated. At no time during our stay did we want for anything - everything we needed was there. For us the only downside was moving on after we had become very attached to the resident moggies! Overall a great cottage in a great location with great (furry) sitting tenants!

    Chris2019-09-20T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful home, beautiful location, you can hear a pin drop outside, it's so peaceful and relaxing. Oscar and Millie the cats are so friendly, we fell in love with them straight away. Our only regret is we didn't stay longer, we even tried to book an extra night but was booked up already Thank you again Judith

A great barn conversion with wonderful views of Dartmoor , fully fitted kitchen with wood burner . the garden is fenced all around making it safe for children and pets with seating and a sun canopy.Great for Dartmoor walkers, amazing country side beautiful surroundings, full of history plus are own national trust Lydford gauge, local pubs ,Farm shop, dog walks, also the granite way bicycle route, plus you can walk onto Dartmoor from the barn.
Our barn has its own small fenced garden, making it safe for small children and dogs. A wood supple for the wood burner. A metal shed ideal for pushchair ,bike etc, storage. Also a bar be que for outside cooking . We have a canopy over the patio doors so even in our good old English weather it is still possible to sit outside and have a drink and take in the amazing dartmoor views, we have advertised our property to sleep up to 4 people, however this reduces down stairs floor space at night when the bed is pulled out. But lovely and cosy in front of the wood burner.
Our village offers a beautiful part of Devon, with many opportunities to commute , or just enjoy our surroundings.
  • We loved Lydonia Barn. Thanks to K&G for all the hospitality and details. Highly recommend for a lengthy stay and get to know Devon. A little piece of heaven in Devon!

    Gavin2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful detached converted barn with all the amenities you could want and dog friendly. There is a wood burner, very decent shower and a wonderfully comfortable bed and decent towels. The kitchen is fully equipped and there is a washing machine, fridge/freezer, bike storage, private garden and patio, and stunning views. Lydford itself is only a smattering of houses but has a pub in easy stumbling distance and a castle (free to enter) and church to explore. Lydford gorge (national trust) is just round the corner although it was closed 2 out of the 3 days that we were there and most of the gorge was closed off for the winter season. Lydford forest is just down the road and is very pretty and safe to let dogs off the lead. Kim was great and checked that we were OK and was very welcoming. We'll definitely be going back in the spring/summer.

    Sarah2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • The Barn was the perfect escape for us, and our dog. We loved the way the barn was set out. Everything you could want. Comfy bed. We didn’t manage to explore as we were caught up in Storm Dennis, but we enjoyed the Woodburner and played cards and Draughts. Easy to find and even though it was dark when we arrived it was lit up with lots of fairy lights. All in all a perfect weekend away. We hope to return again when the weather is better. Ideal treat for a romantic weekend with your other half. Thank you Kim for all the lovely little touches. We hope to come back another time. Enjoy 😊

  • This is an amazing little barn very cosy and welcoming especially when we arrived to a ready lit fire on the cold January evening..everything has been thought of,,and a nice touch with croissants ,jams, marmalade upon arrival. We highly recommend this place to stay you will want to be there even longer as it's so cosy.

  • A beautiful little cottage that is super comfortable and clean. We would definitely go back

    Lance2020-01-13T00:00:00Z
  • This little barn is superbly located on the very edge of Dartmoor. The log burner was very welcome, shower hot and bed comfy. Had just what we needed for a short weekend break. Host very friendly and welcoming too. We enjoyed The Castle inn on both nights, food was great and bar staff very friendly. Must book especially with a dog as only allowed in the bar area.

Just a short walk from two good village pubs serving excellent food; situated on the Granite Way (for cyclists) and near the National Trust's Lydford Gorge. • Amanda was an excellent host. I was warmly welcomed and given delicious homemade scones and jam for tea. My room was delightfully comfortable and spacious. I enjoyed an evening meal at the local pub less than five minutes walk away. A great selection of fruit, cereals and cooked breakfasts was provided after a relaxing nights sleep. I have no hesitation in recommending Amanda as a host and would happily return.

My place is close to public transport, Tavistock town centre, Dartmoor National Park. You’ll love my place because of the location, its cosiness, the garden, the original features.. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travellers. We are overlooking the viaduct- a National Heritage site and part of Drakes Way (Route 27). Ideal for cyclists and walkers. We are well situated for visits to both North and South coasts of Devon and Cornwall.
We are dog friendly - as long as the dog is human friendly and the guest has a pooper-scooper!
We are 2 minutes walk from the town centre and bus station. Also there are several excellent restaurants nearby.
