The home is surrounded by flowerbeds, and views of the mountains. Jeffersonville is two miles away with a general store, and small shops. Smugglers' notch resort is just 2 miles away. The road to Stowe is closed during he winter. If you are planning on skiing at Stowe it is a 45 minute drive around the mountain. Jay Peak is another ski resort that is a 45 minute drive. • Fantastic place & host. 5 mins from Smuggs. 10/10 recommend.

  • It was a much nicer a very private stay than expected. Cozy!

    Timothy2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • Great hosts, the place was very clean and cozy when we arrived. Super close to Smuggler's Notch, about 3 minutes drive. Mary asked us before arriving if there was any food we would like them to buy for us. They had left us several canned goods and soups to use at our discretion as well as some fresh vegetables, eggs, English muffins, homemade bacon bits which are a great breakfast addition, cheese, and a small loaf of homemade banana bread. Coffee and tea was available and the kitchen was just the right size for a weekend stay. A small shower, but the rest of the apartment was great and plenty of room for two people!

Cozy private log cabin apartment with its own entrance. My husband, dog and I live upstairs. Our pup may bark a little upon your arrival/exit, but he is sweet and friendly! We are located just 3 miles from Smuggler’s Notch resort and 4 miles to Jeffersonville town center. With a serene neighborhood and private deck, this space is a great place for leaf peeping in the fall and great views of the ski trails in winter!
Our home is in a great neighborhood with mostly young professionals and vacation homes. You feel as if you are in a remote place but are so close to multiple State Parks, apres ski bars, breweries, disc golf, mountain bike trails, and the city of Burlington.
  • Location! Location! Location! They are located a few mins from Smuggs and surrounding restaurants. Jade and Matthew were very quick to respond and were very friendly. If I’m in the area next ski season, I will definitely look into staying again!

    Kimberly2020-03-18T00:00:00Z
  • My boyfriend and I wanted a place to stay close to the mountain for a long ski weekend and couldn’t have been happier with Matt and Jade’s place. We loved coming home to the coziness of the fireplace after a long day on the mountain and taking in the beautiful views from the back deck. Great stay for the price!

    Amanda2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • lovely space &view, beautiful wood interior, equipped kitchen, great communication with the hosts. the fireplace is a nice touch, and the covers are warm for the cold nights.

    Michelle2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Such a cute space and the perfect location for hitting the slopes at Smuggs. Loved how the wood paneling on the interior gave the place a cozy mountain-y feel, and would definitely stay here again!

  • Jade and Matthew were very accommodating to our needs and although our meetings were brief, they are super nice people. Wish we could have stayed longer!

    David2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • Jade and Matthew were perfect hosts. They responded to any messages within minutes and were incredibly helpful. Their space was cozy and the fireplace was the perfect touch for a freezing winter weekend. The proximity to Smugglers Notch was unbeatable, staying with Jade and Matthew was all around a great experience that I would recommend to anyone looking for a winter getaway.

  • A beautiful home in a great location. Just a few min out of Smuggs. Holly was a wonderful host and communication was great.

  • Great hospitality, new friends made!

    Heidi2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely house! Holly and Zach are a very nice couple and made us feel like home. We actually went skiing to Stowe, and as our trip was kind of last minute, everything around the mountain was sold out. This place is about 50 mins away from the resort in the winter as some roads are closed, and we didn’t regret booking it.

Relax in the beautiful surroundings of the Vermont countryside on the property of Stonybrook Farm. This tiny home is newly built and has everything you'll need for a perfect getaway. We even have wifi if you have to work while you're here. Lay in bed and listen to the brook bubbling past or look thru the telescope and check out the deer and fox that wander by. A true country setting and only 3 miles from town.
If you ever wondered what it would be like living in a tiny house here's your chance to try it . Everything you need in a small space along with all the fun of being on the farm without doing the work although we've always had lots of helpers, big and little that wanted to collect eggs , pet the goats and feed the horses treats. Come and enjoy the country.
We have a great neighborhood. There are farms on both sides of us and 2 dairy farms at the end of our road. All well kept and great neighbors . We also have single family homes mixed in.
  • What can I say?! Carole and Tom were amazing hosts. They were both so nice and welcoming. The bunkhouse was super clean, cute, and a perfect little space. The scenery was gorgeous and the animals just topped it off. The nighttime sky #mindblown. Close to so much but felt like the middle of nowhere.

    Nicholas2019-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • Came in in the dark. Awoke to horses and goats frolicking on the field outside. It was gorgeous. Even though it was a pull-out sofa bed, it was by far the best night of sleep I've gotten in weeks. *Note, make sure you put in the address with Hyde Park. We ended up on a different Brook St. Luckily, it was only 16 miles away.

    Terri2019-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • Carole’s Tiny House is a welcomed getaway from the everyday. Cozy and quiet with an amazing view of the surrounding hillsides and mountains. The house is clean and well-equipped for its size and Carole and Tom are so very kind! Would love to come back in the future!

    Paige2019-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • This is a hidden gem in VT! The area is very quiet and beautiful, the farm was so nice to wake up to and the cottage was cozy!

    Emily2019-10-10T00:00:00Z
  • Sweet little house! Tom and Carole are welcoming, communicative and super nice :) The house is neat and clean, there’s a sink, microwave, and coffee maker, some dishes and silverware. Animal pen is right next door so you can have some really cute friends when youre chilling out front. Gorgeous gorgeous view of the countryside from the front door and from the kitchen table. I loved this place and if I’m ever in the area, I’ll be back!!

    Z2019-10-07T00:00:00Z

My place is 8 miles to Stowe Mountain Resort, 0.5 miles from downtown Stowe - walking distance to many restaurants. Property backs up to Cady Hill Forest, this is 258 wooded acres for snow shoeing, winter hiking and mountain biking. Green Goddess Café is 0.2 miles away which has great coffee, breakfast/lunch. You’ll love my place because of the great location! There are so many things to do very close by. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and small families (with kids).
The house is located on a dirt road that runs parallel with Rt. 100. This neighborhood is very close to downtown Stowe. There is a shuttle bus that is a couple hundred yards from the house that will take you to Stowe Mountain Resort.
  • This place is great for the price! It's not sparkling clean, but clean enough and it's close to downtown. We would definitely stay here again!

Looking for something to do or see? catch up with the locals that hang out at The Farm Store. They love to share tips on the best spots to enjoy.
  • After a ski trip to Lake Placid fell though last minute, I still wanted to go skiing but didn’t want to break the bank on a last-minute weekend trip. Luckily, Liftopia had a great deal at Smuggs and this place popped up. It was a perfect location, close enough to the slopes that I could get an early start on Sunday, even if I let myself sleep in a bit...I’m just sad I was too early for coffee downstairs. The room is sunny and bright, the bed is comfortable. Perfect place to crash with a book or a movie on your iPad. Many amenities close by!

    Sylvia2020-02-11T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect place for the wife and I for a weekend at Smuggs. Close to local dining options. Our only concern was the lack of heater in the bathroom, the room stays warm enough to dry our gear though. Super convenient check in, everything was great.

  • My friends and I had a great time during our stay at Christine's place. The location was convenient to Smugglers Notch and the house was very comfortable. We enjoyed being able to use the propane grill, and the covered parking spot was also nice to have.

    Andrew2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Christines place is the perfect spot for a weekend getaway to Vermont! The house is up on a hill with beautiful views and a really nice front porch. Bedrooms are very spacious and the extra TVs were a nice touch. It’s very close to Smugglers Notch ski resort and was a great way to be close to the slopes while also getting some privacy. Christine was very responsive and accommodating, even to our last minute request to bring a dog. Would highly recommend!

    Julia2020-02-17T00:00:00Z

The location is awesome, 10 minutes from stowe town center, 20 minutes to the ski resort. The apartment is spacious, and Lemira prepared sufficient everything - even hot coco and chocolate. It does not have a kitchen, but it has a microwave and a little fridge. Definitely a lovely stay!

  • What a great location and space! Perfect for a family or a few friends, we really enjoyed our stay and had a blast visiting the nearby restaurants in Stowe and Waterbury, not to mention the ski areas of Stowe, Bolton Valley (night skiing!), and even Jay Peak. Lemira was very responsive and helpful, and the quaint farmhouse is in great shape and stocked with nice amenities. Hardly any noise in the guest suite- would hear the cars passing on the road, but not bad at all, and you are up a separate entrance/stairs from the main house. Thanks for a great stay, hope to see you again!

This lovely room has a single bed and is tucked away next to the living room on the first floor and is filled with antiques. It opens to both the living room and the shared bathroom. The living room can be added as a private suite in the summer, each room having a single bed.
Meticulously restored 200 year old farmhouse with the look and feel of a true old New England home surrounded by gardens. Our main rental room is upstairs with its own 1/2 bath, but we do rent this single room on the first floor with an excellent single bed with a memory foam topper. Room is tucked away next to the living room and shared bath . High speed wireless internet throughout the house as well as very good cell service. The walk in shower and claw foot tub are in the bathroom adjacent to your room The house is situated on 13 acres very close to the Stowe Mtn. Resort ski area - we actually are adjoining landowners and our property borders on 1,000's of acres of state land with waterfalls, mountain bike, hiking and XC skiing trails out the back door. We have a simple lifestyle with cats, chickens, and extensive gardens - both vegetable and flower - your hostess is a master gardener with the state of Vermont. Our home is right next to all the amenities a resort town can offer, but are completely hidden from the road. Within walking distance is a great wood fired pizza/ sushi bar and grill, a small store, and the Stowe Bike path starts 1/2 mile down the road. We even have bikes for our guests to use. It is an old fashioned house filled with country antiques, steep staircases, and creaky floors. In the summer we have picnic tables and a place to barbecue outside. The gardens surround the house and we have tables and chairs scattered throughout to sit and enjoy the beauty of Vermont.
Our home is near the start of Stowe's bike/recreation path. A 7 mile paved path from our house to town! Lots of Mtn bikiing as well.
  • Second time staying with Lyndall and Scott. Can't beat the location! Lyndall is a great communicator and very helpful with anything"Vermont". Please note the bathroom is shared with the house, I don't mind but may bother some.

  • A charming home near Mt. Mansfield in a quiet location. This is a unique property that will give you an enjoyable stay both summer and winter.

    Rose2019-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • Such a special place! Located just minutes from Mt. Mansfield, it's a beautiful 200-year old antique home with great views and gardens! The hosts are so accommodating and very helpful with providing local tips. I highly recommend staying here!

    Anna2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • This is the 2nd time we stayed in Scott's and Lyndall's place and occupied both the room at the ground floor and the bedroom upstairs. It's another amazing experience which my son and daughter appreciated a lot. It's the whole experience --- the beautiful house, the garden, the cats Ligety and Cleo, the food and the warm interactions and things we learn from Scott and Lyndall about their passion, culture, experience and stories. We all wish to be back again someday.

    Tom2019-10-04T00:00:00Z
  • What a beautiful home and perfect location! Lyndall and her family were so welcoming and offered great suggestions of things to see in the area. I would love to go back and highly recommend staying with them if you have the chance.

    Rebecca2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • I was very happy with the accommodations and the hosts, my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The yard and general area are full of natural beauty, and the location was conveniently near several towns, the Smugglers Notch scenic drive (closed during snow season), and only about an hour from Burlington. There are also nice trails and a waterfall within hiking distance from the house. The location is slightly away from the main road, but the directions were very clear so I had no trouble finding it. Also, with clear weather the visibility of the night sky is amazing, I would definitely recommend going out at night to see the stars from the yard. The room was clean and comfortable, and the hosts were friendly and happy to give advice on nearby activities.

  • The room is a perfect size for a single traveller, with a good system for the shared bathroom and plenty of room to stretch your legs via the garden outside, nearby hiking/biking trails, and a shared sitting room. The house itself is easy to access and a charming oasis, while still being minutes from Stowe. I even took a ride into Burlington, which was about an hour both ways and 100% worth a drive for dinner. Lyndall and her family were kind, accommodating, and knowledgeable. They made me feel right at home and very safe as a solo traveller. I would recommend this home to anyone looking to explore this beautiful place!

  • Inge was amazing. The house was spotless and very cozy. She made us feel at home right away. There’s nothing she didn’t have! Would definitely stay again if ever in Fairfax.

    Jessica2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Inge went out of her way to make us comfortable and made sure we have everything we needed. She gave us lots of local tips and even lended us snow shoes when we didn’t have any. The sheets and towels were so soft and we loved the pool table in the living room. Wonderful location too with beautiful view of the mountains. The perfect quiet place for a stay. We would definitely book again!

    Kaleigh2020-02-13T00:00:00Z
  • A very nicely decorated room with a nice view. Ideal would have sat, even if a table for writing would have been available. With Inge we appreciated the exchange about the country and the people.

In summer, swim and fish in a tiny but beautiful lake in one of the most scenic parts of Vermont. In winter, guests world-class skiing at Smugglers Notch is only a 13-mile drive from the cottage. Any time of year, this is a great retreat, with an outdoor hot tub (maintained year-round), large yard, and many other amenities, including a wood-burning fireplace, use of the canoe, rowboat, and kayak. Pets are welcome as long as you take full responsibility for them.
This is a unique house-sized cottage in one of the most scenic parts of Vermont--on Metcalf Pond near Smugglers Notch, regarded by many as the best ski area in the East both for families and experts alike. Rustic decor but with the comforts of home, including full kitchen and laundry facilities, enclosed porch with wood-burning fireplace, large yard, outdoor hot tub, use of a rowboat, canoe, and kayak. In winter, it's a 13-mile drive to the entrance to Smugglers Notch and world-class skiing. In exchange for that short drive, you get a terrific place to stay, at a small fraction of what you'd pay right at the slopes. Note: We work hard to make sure that the house is neat and clean and all features are in good repair. But we do not have a big cleaning crew, and sometimes have only a few hours between guest visits, so we can't guarantee that you will never find dust on top of a picture frame. But if you find any issue that needs attending, please call us and we will do our best to help as quickly as possible.
The "neighborhood" is adjacent to a small lake, including our private lake frontage (across a quiet road) with a dock, small boats, picnic table, etc. It is very rural, but the roads are kept up well, as this is on a school-bus route, giving it priority for winter plowing and year-around maintenance. Nearby villages are Cambridge, Jeffersonville, and Fairfax--all about 7 to 10 miles away with basic shopping, etc. For more shopping and cultural experiences, Burlington is about 35 miles away.
  • Such an amazing find on Airbnb. Steve and Lisa were the easiest to communicate and were very helpful with everything. The cottage is everything you need for a sweet and lovely trip to VT

    Zoya2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • A great spot for our ski trip! Lots of space and what can beat a hot tub!

    Simeon2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • Great place for a ski weekend at Smuggs, you won’t have to drive around the mountain. Very isolated and quiet, if you have a medium sized group and want to hang out it is perfect.

    Wesley2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Steve and Lisa’s place was the perfect location for our ski trip to Smuggs. It was the very beat value around and we were sad to see it is being sold. The place had a simplicity to it but the wifi worked well and the hot tub was a fun touch.

    Nikki2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful cottage in rural vt!

    Andrew2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Such a wonderful place to stay in the winter, somewhat secluded from the main roads but still only 20ish minutes from Smuggs, it was the perfect destination for a winter getaway. The hot tub was also a huge bonus!

    Chelsey2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • OMG! I cannot think of one single bad thing about my stay. Everything was just perfect from the little personal touches to make sure that we didn't need anything to the cottage itself. The location of the cottage is secluded but it was just what we wanted. We had a total of 6 guest and we all had enough room. Check in was no problem and communication was always there with Steve and Lisa. We went to Vermont to Skii at Stowe resort and the drive from the cottage there was about an hour due to 108 being close for the winter, but no big deal honestly. If you are looking for a beautiful cabin that makes you feel one with nature this is the place to book! Thank you Steve and Lisa for an amazing one in a lifetime experience ❤

    Michelle2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • For skier and snowboarder groups who are looking for purely economical options, some of the lodges closer to the resorts might be a bit cheaper. For the same groups that can afford to spend slightly more for lodging and gas and are also looking for some privacy, relaxation, and some of the amenities that don’t come with a room in a lodge, this is a great option. This is why this had high value to our group, as we had the ability to kick back and relax with space at the end of the day, instead of being in a cramped lodge. Heating was great, and we never had any problems being cold in the dead of winter. The hot tub temperature slowly drops during use on cold days, and the cover must be put back on for the hot tub to achieve comfortable temperature again. Backroads are a little hilly, and could be troublesome on snow days without newer tires or awd/4wd. We only had trouble with this one day, but this vehicle needed new tires. Overall a great stay, and Steve and Lisa were always available if we needed anything.

An off grid cabin in the hills of Vermont with a spectacular view of Camel's Hump. Not for everyone, (no running water, spotty cell service) but if you want quiet, beauty and solitude, this place is for you. A writer-hiker's dream. If it's winter, the cabin's heated. There's also a gas fridge, stove, solar electricity for lights, composting toilet (no smell. Really), pots & cooking utensils. If this is a little too rustic, we have an apartment in downtown Montpelier. http://bit.ly/VtAirbnb
This one room 20' x 14' cabin is situated on some of the prettiest land Vermont has to offer. Up in the Green Mountains and about 2 miles from the Camel's Hump eastern trail head to the Long Trail, this cabin is a great place to get off line, listen to birds and the wind, write, hike and relax. This place is not for everyone. It is about 8 miles from the nearest town. There is no running water. Water for drinking is provided in 5 gallon jugs with a push dispenser. Ergo, there is no shower. However, the Best Western and Fairfield Inn in Waterbury offer day passes for their indoor pool, where you can get a dip and a shower and even a sauna. It's a little pricey. Because of the lack of both running water and cell service, we can't permit any outdoor fires. Electricity is provided by a small solar panel and battery set up. Enough juice is generated for lights and radio. It isn't designed for heavy use. There is a new propane fridge and freezer. The place is heated by a propane heater (thermostatically controlled) and the stove is gas for cooking. So heat is not a problem if you are out skiing or hiking for the day. There is not a typical sink, so dishes need to be washed in a small tub outside. This is good motivation to keep your dishware use minimalist. We also provide paper plates. There is a fold out table (next to the couch) and folding chairs for meals, card games, writing etc There is a composting toilet (but private). Beds are a comfy queen and a twin that folds out from the couch. A dog is ok. Please let us know in advance. There is a $25 additional fee (that covers the total stay) that is payable prior to your arrival. One dog only, please. There is wildlife, so please keep your dog close. Skunks, porcupines and the like can change your plans rapidly. Poopy bags are provided for clean up. (Future guests appreciate that!) Please don't leave your dog alone unless you have a crate. Please note it can get very warm in the cabin in the late summer afternoon. Bring cross county skis and/or snowshoes for winter recreation! Vermont Meals and Rooms Tax ID number is MRT-10126712
There is a reason people sigh and look dreamy when you mention "Vermont". Places like this are why. It's quiet, beautiful, people are friendly and the ju-ju is wonderful. We love it when people tool around the backroads, but please drive slowly.
  • Great spot for a getaway especially in the winter, so quiet and peaceful. The ease of staying without running water was a surprise, don’t let it scare you away, this place is special!

    Zachary2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • The view is to die for! We had such a great time at the cabin w/ no service or connection to the outside world. I enjoyed the privacy to let our dog run around. We did laugh a little when we tried to ride the sled down to our vehicle at the end of our stay (did not work as planned).

    Vanidie2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • A peaceful weekend.

    Joselyn2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed here for a snowshoeing trip in January and loved it! AirBnB asked me to rate the amenities, but it's the lack of amenities that make this cabin a great place to escape the city. It's just rustic enough to really be a place to relax and unplug, but finished enough that you don't have to worry about, say, the heat inside. Wish there were more cabins like this available here!

    Ryan2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Great place, amazing location, in the middle of the forest. Perfect to see the stars, get away in the nature, do some hiking, and visit the microbreweries around. Will was very welcoming and we had everything we needed!

  • If you are looking for a true off-the-grid getaway, look no further. It was a perfect crash pad during my time skiing Stowe. It truly is an amazing place and I was particularly impressed with the cabins interior and the view of Camel’s Hump. Everything about this property is true to the character of Vermont and I will definitely be back.

  • This house is perfect and Angie was lovely to work with. It fit our family of 6 just fine and had thoughtful touches throughout. The decor is a mix of updated/modern with local charm. The beds were very comfortable, plenty of blankets and the bathrooms were super clean and had lots of towels. The game room was a huge hit. Foosball, Uno and puzzles all made for lots of laughs. It was a great location relative to Smugglers. We had a great time skiing and just as much fun sledding in the backyard. It was a great getaway for our family. We look forward to coming back in the future!

Sunny first floor of a true Federal Style Vermont Farm House dating from 1797! includes: seven rooms (1542 sf): south and west facing bedroom, adjoining large bathroom, updated kitchen, south facing dining room, and separate living room. Listen to the soothing sound of Roger's Brook out your bedroom window. Walk, ski, run, or mountain bike on our private trails that traverse open pasture and forest. After your run soak in the large clawfoot tub in the second bathroom . Venture further on miles of trails that lead to the huge V.A.S.T system designed for snowmobilers but allow in our case access to skiers, walkers, mountain bikers, geocachers, trail runners, and horseback riders. For you long distance runners looking to get in your miles. The Town of Westford is blessed with 39.6 miles of dirt roads perfect for your knees and your training runs. With one queen sized bed in the Master Bedroom, one queen sized futon in a curtained sleeping alcove, and one queen sized leather sleep sofa in its own room the Farm House can accomodate 3 couples quite comfortably.
Westford is one of the 251 small towns of Vermont. We are blessed with 39.6 miles of dirt roads and not a single traffic light. Not far from the green we have our own historic wooden covered bridge. Nearby check out the quintessential Vermont town of Jericho Center, Vermont 05465 with its country store opened in 1807.
  • Peace and tranquility awaits you here!

  • Our weekend away at the farmhouse was just what a group of friends needed! We enjoyed all of the little touches of the home, including all of Frank’s wonderful communication and hospitality. Frank was a fantastic host, providing us warm bread and local beer upon arrival. The farmhouse was cozy and well taken care of. The expansive property gave our dogs the adventure of a lifetime. We enjoyed playing in what felt like the ever falling snow and used the snowshoes and cross country ski’s daily. There was so much to explore on the property and the home was stocked with all of a home’s basic needs for us to make meals and sit by the wood burning stove at night. We even ventured to Burlington, Stowe and Montpelier while visiting - All are a quick 30 minute to an hour drive away. If you are looking for a relaxing home away from home, let Frank host you in his farmhouse, you will not miss out!

    Stephanie2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Frank was so communicative right out of the gate! Super helpful when I ran into some problems trying to extend our stay. The house is so gosh darn cute and had every amenity need for a great weekend escape. We can’t wait to return!

    Aimee2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • The home is very inviting, neat and tidy. It’s definitely a very private and quite location. My dogs felt right at home and enjoyed running free on the property.

    Gina2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • This is a wonderful escape from the chaos of life. Frank was a thoughtful host.

    Michelle2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Expect the very best of Vermont. I felt like I actually was able to get away from the madness of our busy life. The ruggedness of this property made a great base camp for all thing to do in Vermont. I had never been to this State and am wondering why I did not go sooner. Frank is the beat Host I have had on Airbnb. He met us on arrival and gave a wonderful walk through of his property. The bread was baking as we entered the home. Great Vermont beer was in the fridge along with eggs and and coffee creamer. Plenty of coffee and more Kitchen equipment then you will use. Simply not enough great things to say about this stay and Frank. If you want some peace, quiet, and some rural Vermont then select this home for your next adventure. I would stay in this home again. Did I mention the fresh bread. I would do it for the bread and beer Frank had for us. Soft butter over that warm fresh bread made us drift away to our happy place. Thanks Frank, I only hope to be able to return. Jerry & Susan

  • Frank was sooooo nice! And his place is perfect to enjoy winter in Vermont.

  • If you are looking for a place to get away from it all this is the place for you! The Farmhouse was situated relatively close to everything (i.e. Burlington, Smugglers Notch and other attractions) but far enough from others to get a true country feel. We only stayed a week and we could have easily stayed longer, there's just so much to do in that area. We loved it here and hope to go back soon!

  • The perfect Vermont vacation stay. Close to mountains, good food, great breweries, but tucked away in a quiet and private setting. The hosts are amazing. Enjoyed the hot tub on a snowy winter night. The hot coffee and light breakfast awaiting us when we woke up was a delight! Will definitely be visiting here again.

  • Our stay with Pat and Denny was outstanding. The place itself is stunning. Really a ‘lodge’ feel and it felt like home just minutes after entering. There are endless ‘little touches’ sprinkled throughout that make the place very special. The proximity to anything in Stowe is perfect. The best part was getting to know Pat and Denny. We spent a good amount of time chatting and bonding and now I can’t wait to go back and see our friends soon. This is the best place in Stowe by far.

    Bradley2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • A charming lovely place to stay in the Stowe area.

    Joe2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely amazing time staying with Pat and Dennis on our ski trip over New Years. They were so kind and helpful in every way. They went above and beyond to make sure we saw the best parts of town and always had recommendations for activities and restaurants. Tremendous hosts and such a beautiful home. We definitely plan to return.

    Zach2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • The best time! Loved it!

    Julia2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • Pat and Dennis were fantastic hosts! Attentive and kind, very helpful with getting to know the area and all of the hot spots. Avid skiers at Stowe so they will definitely point you to all the good spots! They are foodies too so they know they good grub spots which are pretty much all within 10-20 min of their house. There two dogs Henry and Bella were super cute and friendly! Rooms were cozy and eclectic, property was gorgeous, 5 out 5!

    Justin2019-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • Pat and Denny are amazing hosts with an amazing home. They go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and settled. Would highly recommend them to anyone staying in the area!

    Nicole2019-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • Dennis and Pat were unbelievably welcoming and made us feel right at home. They had great recommendations from hiking trails to restaurants. We looked forward to running into them around the house and casual conversation. The house is big and beautiful with plenty of space for privacy and so much to do! We didn’t realize there was a trail right from the house to the Waterbury reservoir with kayaks and a canoe to use! Pat has the most amazing zucchini bread and coffee in the morning and also had some fresh cut watermelon for us. Both were very nice homey touches. Henry and Bella (the pups) were lovable and just as friendly as their owners. We had an amazing trip and would absolutely love to stay again!

  • Lynn’s home was phenomenal, very close to Burlington and sugarbush and a perfect space to spend a few nights

    Zack2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome place outside of the city, but still close enough to Bolton and Burlington to have plenty of stuff to do. Had a great time, and Lynn was extremely quick to respond and very helpful.

    Taylor2020-02-08T00:00:00Z
  • This place was so much fun to stay at. My friends and I stayed to go snowboarding at Bolton valley and it was a great time. Reminder that the shower is a tiny bit awkward to use, but it was such a tiny detail that we didn’t even care. The area was also beautiful so bring a camera!

    Connor2019-12-31T00:00:00Z

  • Phil and Kim have an inviting inn on rte. 100 in Stowe. The room was clean, bed comfortable and quite a view of the river as snow came down. Phil makes a great breakfast which is complementary with something different each morning. I highly recommend this cozy inn. We hope to make it an annual get away.

    Gina2020-02-01T00:00:00Z
  • Loved this quaint yet modern air bnb. Kim and Phil are very welcoming and offered us suggestions of places to explore in Stowe. Breakfast was delicious, games for entertainment was a plus, and the hot tub was available. We loved staying here and would love to stay again at our next Stowe trip. Location is convenient only a few minutes away from Stowe mountain

  • The Little River Inn is perfect for a quick trip to Stowe at a great value. The rooms are modest although there is a nice common room with a tv and fireplace where we spent a couple evenings (and there is a hot tub outside). It’s a short walk to town and very close to Stowe. Would highly recommend!

    Andrew2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • I will say with 100% confidence that you will not find a more charming place in Stowe. I can’t wait to come back. Phil and Kim’s hospitality is incredible, and they are really down to earth. Favorite memories are to go in the hot tub post-ski and discuss dinner plans. Finish the night with board games. Have fun in Stowe!

    Adam2019-12-22T00:00:00Z
  • Phil and Kim’s place was amazing! And they were so sweet and helpful not to mention the breakfast was out of this world. I frankly can’t think of one thing I would change! I would absolutely stay there again when we pass through Stowe! View is crazy beautiful!!!!

There are 2 bedrooms (one has a queen sized bed and the other has a full sized bed) and a bathroom on the second story of our house. You have your pick of either room. However, if you wish to use the second bedroom, an additional fee will be charged at an additional one-half the listed price. A hearty breakfast is provided, otherwise there are no kitchen privileges . We have a fragrance free policy: no strong perfume or after shave. We live in the rest of the house and will be present.
Our house is very clean and neat. If you rent one room the other room will remain vacant unless it is used by members of your party; you won't be sharing a bathroom with anyone you don't know! If you want the second room it is half again the price of the first room. This is a very safe neighborhood. Morrisville has everything Stowe has without Stowe prices and crowds of tourists. There is a rail-trail for running or biking and you can borrow bikes from the town for free. Lake and Mount Elmore are 10 minutes away and is great for hiking, kayaking, swimming. Elmore is home to Vermont's last functioning one room school house and the most perfect country store. We are 8.5 miles (13 minutes) from Stowe and 16 miles (27 minutes) from Stowe Mountain Resort. Pets are welcome but not on the furniture and not in bed with you!
We live in a well maintained, safe and quiet neighborhood.

My place is close to Stowe, Smuggler's Notch and within 15 minutes of 6 breweries. You can experience art and culture, 3 major ski resorts, snow machine trails, farms, hiking trails, lakes and 3 miles from the down town shopping plazas. It is nestled in the woods with some views. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families. We offer Shuttle service to and from the airport, train station and the Long Trail trailheads.
Our cabins are nestled in the woods of the Green Mountains and only a short distance from ski resorts, hiking/snowshoeing trails and several breweries.
Our neighborhood is a small quaint town. We are located on a country road with a few farms close by but only 3 miles from the local shopping centers, three breweries and the rail trail. We are located in a centralized location in Vermont.
  • Cute little cabin, not too far from Stowe. Quick responses & exactly as described

  • QUIET. Clean. Easy to get to. Did I mention quiet?! We loved staying as a break from the hustle and bustle of our busy life with 4 kids. This was the perfect solution for us to unplug and unwind! Thank you so much!

    Natalie2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • This is the best place to stay near all the ski resorts. It is close to Stowe and downtown Morrisville and is cleaner and cozier than any hotel room. This is our second visit and we plan on many more.

Cozy barn apartment in the lovely village of Richmond, Vermont. Walk to brewery, bakery, restaurants, market, playground and trails. Close to Burlington, and Ski Resorts. The apartment is located in a barn that is attached to our home. The buildings are approximately 125 years old and are brimming with rustic charm & character.
The apartment is on the second floor of our barn which has a private entrance with a key code door lock. There are many unique features that were original to the architecture such as exposed barn beams. The bedroom has a queen sized bed which is very comfy according to our guests. You'll find plenty of pillows and blankets for the cool Vermont summer mornings or the blustery winter nights. In the kitchen you'll find all of the essentials for preparing your own meals, which is easy to do since the market is only a short walk away. Maybe you'll decided to bring back breakfast treats from the bakery around the corner and enjoy a cup of fresh ground local organic coffee which is provided to start your stay off right. You'll find organic 1/2+1/2 in the fridge and local maple syrup and honey in the cabinet. In the living room there is a pellet stove that keeps the space very toasty in the winter and provides a cozy romantic ambience. A new sofa with a queen sized memory foam mattress. There is also a smart HDTV with Netflix, Hulu, and HBO GO. There is no cable but once you're here if you find a channel on the TV that you would like to access just let us know and we'll gladly download it for you. The bathroom is bright and cheery and is stocked with lots of towels, a first aid kit and a blow dryer. Because we live on site we are usually available in a moments notice to help guests navigate their stay. We enjoy greeting our guests and meeting new people but will happily give you lots of space and privacy. We also love the outdoors and can easily point you in the right direction when it comes to skiing, hiking, biking or swimming. We are about a mile from the highway so in a matter of minutes you can be in Burlington but we have plenty of live music and great beer or food here in our village.
The apartment is in the lovely village of Richmond, Vermont. Located 1 mile from interstate 89 and 20 minutes south of Burlington it is also conveniently located 15-45 minutes from several ski resorts including Stowe, Smuggler’s Notch, Mad River & Sugar Bush. The closest being Cochran’s and Bolton Valley, both family favorites. Plowed, paved sidewalks will lead you from our village location to a ski shop, a bike shop, 2 restaurants, a brewery (w/great food), a bakery & a fully stocked, local grocery all located less than a mile walk from apartment.
  • Katie was so welcoming and very accessible for any questions or concerns, with great recommendations. The apartment was sparkling clean and had the old New England rustic feel. Super close to Burlington, while still getting the village feel. Will definitely return here in the future!

    Alex2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • This was a lovely place to stay. It was in an excellent location and offered great access to Burlington and Stowe. The kitchen was incredibly well stocked and Katie thought of wonderful details like leaving a bottle of local maple syrup. I would highly recommend staying at this lovely spot and will certainly be back!

    Micah2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Super clean and cozy. I could have spent the whole day there without leaving to explore the beauty of Vermont. Katie was a super helpful host and her place is absolutely quaint. Definitely recommended!

    Joyce2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Loved everything about this spot! Perfect distance inbetween Burlington and where we were skiing at Bolton Valley. Very quiet location/ town. One night it snowed and we woke up to our car cleaned off. Would come back again!!

    Meg2020-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • There are so many great things about Katie's place in Richmond. The space is wonderfully cozy. Everything was super clean and comfortable. We really enjoyed the wood pellet stove which kept everything nice and warm after a day of skiing. It is also QUIET. I usually have to wear earplugs when vacationing, as I am a light sleeper, and I didn't even need to take them out of my suitcase this time. The town of Richmond is small, quaint, but still has nice restaurants, breweries, and more. Its also centrally located to at least 4-5 great ski resorts and towns. Burlington is a short 20 minute drive. We have stayed in rural VT before and this time we were able to see and do more with a lot less driving. This is our 3rd time visiting VT and my wife and I agreed, this was our all around favorite place to stay so far. We hope to be back! Thanks again Katie.

    John2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely spot. Warm once you got the fire going. Great coffee. Would for sure come back.

    Marcus2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Clean, cute and cozy- our small family of three was quite comfortable at Katie's for the 3 nights we stayed. We didn't want for anything, and Katie was GREAT from the moment we checked in. She was super helpful and was able to make suggestions about places to go etc..that fit our needs. (5 stars for friendliest, most helpful hostess!) We didn't want for anything in the space, and really appreciated the little touches like the complimentary maple syrup, and coffee/condiments/spices available. We also liked that there were a few local restos/cafes that were so close, you could walk within minutes. Also, a grocery store was just as close. This was really handy. We tried them all and thought they were great. Also, the people seem soooooo friendly in this area, and it was hard to come home. This was easily one of our top Air B N B experiences. Enjoy your stay!

    Heidi2020-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • Warm, cozy, and conveniently located, this cottage-like second floor apartment has all the amenities... tv , well- stocked kitchen, separate bedroom , electric heat as well as a pellet stove. Very clean with magazines and books featuring lots of ideas for local attractions. Owner lives in a separate house on the property and is very responsive to questions--A Vermont gem in the heart of Richmond.

  • Ria's home was perfect for our ski weekend away. Location was ideal, a short drive to and from Smugglers Notch. And a very short drive into Stowe to shop and eat. The town of Morrisville was cute, and from her home you could walk to the convenience store and local market for groceries. The kitchen was equipped with all we need to cook a couple meals in as well.

  • Fantastic clean and stylish space with an excellent host. Ria is 100% responsive and beyond hospitable. Clear check in/out instructions. The beds are SO comfortable! She leaves a welcoming note with suggestions of places to visit in the area. Loved the location! Don’t forget to check out the bakery below the apartment.

    Yomally2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • We loved staying at Ria's place for our ski vacation! Perfect location close to both Stowe and Smugg's and easy to find. Even though it was on a main street it was very quiet. It also snowed quite a bit while we were there but the driveway area was plowed early in the morning and we had no trouble getting in and out. The apartment was charming and stylish, VERY spacious, had super comfortable beds, kitchen basics including a keurig with coffee, clean bathroom with a good shower, no problems with the internet, easy check-in and good communication. Ria even left us a nice surprise in the fridge which was so thoughtful! Also Lost Nation Brewing is just a few minutes down the road (highly recommend!). Overall this place exceeded our expectations and we would definitely book again!

  • The apartment was lovely-clean, sparsely well appointed, super location. For two people with bad backs, the bed was firm and perfect, and the shower was great. Using the homemade pottery for our morning coffee was a nice addition to the stay. We liked having a number of restaurants just down the block-delicious and convenient. Thank you!

    Adrienne2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • The access to Waterbury was great! Dinner at Pro Pig is completely recommended, and it was super nice being able to walk there. Make sure to check out Jeremy’s stoneware, you’ll find the perfect piece to take home with you. The apartment you’ll find is cozy and nice. You will have no problems resting there.

'The Artist Studio' is dog friendly! This space was converted from an knitting studio, and split into two. It's now a haven for travelers to come to Stowe, relax, take the beauty of Vermont, and the quaint village of Stowe-just steps away. The 'Studio' is actually a 500sq. ft, 1 bdrm. apt with full kitchen/living area in one room, bath, and a separate bedroom. The unit has central A/C. The studio has various Vermont artisan works to set the scene. We love to support our local community!
This is a classic old Historic Vermont home which has been fully renovated and updated, but still maintains that quaint Vermont feel. The windows are large, light and bright-which allows for some nice light. The kitchen and living space are combined into one bright open room. Bedroom has a queen bed. Living area has a Loveseat Sleeper Sofa that pulls out to full size bed. The 500sq. ft space is better suited for 2 people as it gets tighter when the sofa bed is pulled out for a 3rd- but perfectly fine for those who don't mind smaller spaces. We do love pets, and welcome them into the space (with additional $25 fee), but PLEASE- no paws on the furniture! We use all natural, chemical free cleaners, shampoos, conditioners, and soaps. **We will consider one night stays- please submit a request and we can let you know right away if it's possible
Walking distance to all the best of Stowe Village. Food, shops, art galleries, The Stowe Rec Path, and so much more.
  • Thanks for letting us stay at your place. It was super clean, easy to find and having the market next door was convenient for shopping to make our own meals. Stowe Mountain and all the restaurants just a few miles from the home and it’s an easy ride to Burlington as well. Awesome place!

  • Great location right in Stowe village, about 15 minutes from the Stowe mountain resort and 10 from the Von Trapp XC ski area. Surprisingly walkable to restaurants, a small market, and the recreation trail. The space itself has everything you need and the included off street parking is nice.

  • Graham’s place was exactly what we were hoping it would be, and looks exactly like the pictures. We were in town to go snowboarding at Stowe and was just a short 20 minute drive. It was sparkling clean, had super nice homie touches, and we loved the open feel. The bed was very comfortable, as was the futon couch in the living room. Everything from the Tupperware for storing left overs, and the heat lamp in the bathroom made Graham’s place feel like home for a few days. The porch was a great place to have your morning coffee or look at the stars late at night. Next time we’re back that way we will absolutely try and stay again.

    Emma2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome location! Cooper, the hosts’ dog, was a highlight for us. We had an amazing time and would totally book again!

    Rita2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • We had an exquisite stay at Maria and Graham’s apartment. Their communication and hospitality were amazing and the space was both beautiful and functional. Lots of space, beautiful views, and fantastic location between Waterbury, Stowe, Burlington, and Montpellier. It’s an ideal staging area for this chunk of Vermont. Their pooch Cooper was also adorable and a loving dude. We absolutely loved the place and would happily stay here again in the future.

    Cole2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment had breathtaking views. The space was extremely clean and stylish. Such a wonderful place to stay!

    Laura2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • We spent a long weekend near Stowe and this dog-friendly spot was great! Graham and Maria were terrific hosts and have a lovely space. Clean, amazing views of Mt Mansfield and minutes from all that the area has to offer.

    Tom2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Their place was outstanding. They were very thoughtful with their amenities. Anything we needed, they had. Beautiful 2nd floor balcony views of the Green Mountains. Great location between downtown Waterbury and Stowe.

Visiting friends, family, JSC students, skiing at Smuggs(25min)/Stowe(30min)/Jay(45min), touring breweries, or want to get the quintessential New England experience, please enjoy our home! Nestled between Johnson State College and downtown Johnson (5 min walk to both).
The house is a very special place for me and my family. Several family members contributed to the renovation and building of this home. The countertops were made from a maple tree my grandfather tapped for sap (to make maple syrup). You can see the tap holes in the wood and the long dark brown streaks the tap holes left. We also like to watch movies in style so we put in a 73" TV for your viewing pleasure. Sunsets are amazing. The house faces the mountains and there is nothing better than sipping a local microbrew while sitting next to the fire outside on the blue stone patio.
Home to Johnson State College, Vermont Studio Center, Butternut Mountain Farm (maple syrup), Johnson Woolen Factory, and a host of small businesses, Johnson is a thriving town in the middle of Vermont ski country. The town brings together a combination of small town New England charm, artistic ideals, and community philanthropy in a centralized downtown so you can easily enjoy all the the town has to offer.
  • Thank you to Travis and Lynda for our wonderful stay!!!! Such a beautiful area of Vermont. A gorgeous house as well!! We WILL be back!

    Kayla2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our second stay in this lovely house in Johnson. Convenient for skiing and close to all amenities of the town. Lynda is excellent host. We will definitely come back again!

    Jussi2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • We were looking for a quiet winter getaway that was close to some attractions. Travis’ home did not disappoint! Lynda was so communicative and even stopped in to say hi shortly after we arrived. The location is great. Johnson is a cute little town and we were able to spend a couple of hours exploring despite it being the middle of winter during the week. The bookstore and the maple syrup country store were our favorites. Our dog loved the area and was able to explore around the house off leash with no issues. We also took advantage of the big hills surrounding the home and did some sledding. We spent a day at Stowe Village and another day at Jay Peak. I can’t recommend the water park at Jay enough-we had a blast snowboarding and swimming! The home itself is amazing. The kitchen is fully stocked and we cooked dinner there every night (aside from one when we ordered pizza from Downtown in Johnson-the Vermonter pizza is the best!!) The shower in this house is really an experience. It is so beautiful and the perfect way to unwind. We had a wonderful stay and appreciate so much the pancakes and syrup, the crib and high chair all set up for our little guy and the overall hospitality!

    Joe2020-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • Nice clean spot for our family of 5 to use as our base and good communication. We would recommend it to others.

    Ted2020-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful experience at Travis'. The house itself was super clean and spacious. We loved hanging out in the open living room is backyard! Most breweries and restaurants are about a 20 min drive! Lynda was a great host, quick to answer any questions and had some great local recommendations for us! We'll be back there soon!

    Shubham2019-12-24T00:00:00Z
  • Our second time staying here was as good as the first. It’s a perfect place to get away with our puppies.

  • Travis and Lynda offer a beautiful home, perfect for R&R. Location is great and not to far from the center of town. Beautiful views from the backyard and the home was clean well kept! Quick communication and easily accessible. They provided the perfect get away!
