Black was a great host! I had to check in earlier than we had arranged and had no problem. Her room is very cozy and comfortable. Sue’s place is ideally located for everything in Sheffield and then gives the added bonus of being able to escape in a superb tranquil setting at the end of the day. Sue is a superb host she “knows what a good host is” Sue’s place is everything you need when visiting Sheffield and the surrounding area. The space is ideal and the garden and outdoor space is special which allows you to get away from it all at the end of the day. Airbnb at it’s best and how it should be.

Sue's place has a lovely ethnic vibe, she obviously loves to travel herself and there is a great collection of souvenir tiles; the flat is very spacious and light., enough furniture but not cluttered. The decor is lovely, lots of fairy lights in the lovely seating areas which both have french windows to the enchanting terraced garden above the stream below. The kitchen was very well equipped if you wanted to cook. To welcome us and for breakfast there were beverages and milk, tasty crumpets and butter, porridge and a good jam selection and the local Henderson's relish. The towels were ultra soft and fluffy, seating and beds comfy and the place was incredibly warm on the first heavy frost of the season. Near enough to the city if you want to do in town things but also just a short drive into the Peak District. A very lovely place to stay, ideal on many counts.

Alan and Melanie's place is very cosy and stylish - exactly as depicted in the advert. I loved the idea of adapting a walk in wardrobe into a mini kitchenette- it made us feel comfortable and more independent . The house is perfectly located, both close to the city and the countryside, with only few minutes walk to Sheffield Rivelin Valley nature trail. Alan and Melanie were very responsive and helpful but at the same time very respectful of our privacy. It was a perfect stay and I would definitely reccomend them to anyone!

Stayed with Alan & Melanie overnight. First time in shared home. Check in was smooth, constant contact with hosts and warm greeting on arrival. Room was lovely and bed super comfy. It was a shared bathroom but never saw hosts so as if private. There was a cupboard coverted into a small kitchen with fridge, kettle, toaster & basic food stuffs for breakfast; a genius use of space. Great value for money, would stay again if ever in sheffield overnight.

Lovely room, in a really convenient location for the wedding we were attending and great value. Alan and Melanie were great hosts and gave us really useful local tips for walks and places to visit.

Melanie and Alan are wonderful hosts and I can't even find words for this special and nicely decorated house. The room is so cosy, I already miss to sit at the window, watching the sunrise while sipping a coffee. The kitchenette is well equipment, the house very clean and only a three minutes walk away from the tram - perfect!

Nicol‘s place was a great place to stay for us in Sheffield with very easy and convenient access to the city centre with public transport (the tram stop is less than a 5 min walk away). The lovely attic room is sparkling clean and the bed very comfortable.

My partner and I stayed with Nic and Matt for one night but we wish we had been able to stay for a longer trip! They were both incredibly friendly and welcoming, plus Nic was very accommodating around our plans. The room (and house) are lovely, super clean and had everything we needed. Cannot recommend highly enough!

My husband and I stayed with Nicol and Mat when we were in Sheffield for a friend's party. They were really welcoming and friendly and gave us our own key so we could come back in the wee hours withoutdisturbing them. The room is beautiful and the bed was super comfy. Thank you for having us!

I stayed at the apartment for a couple of night. It is right on the edge of Hillsborough which has shopping and transport links to the city centre, and there is ready access to the countryside. The apartment was fine, access straightforward, hosts very pleasant; happy to recommend.

I stayed in with Nicol and Matuesz on one of my regular weekly visits to Sheffield. They were lovely hosts and their house was warm and comfortable, exactly what I needed for my visit. Certainly recommend to anyone who doesn't mind staying on a somewhat busier road and prefers the added transport convenience that offers.

Perfect space for a short stay in Sheffield.

We love this apartment - perfect location and everything we needed for a comfortable stay with our 7 month old daughter. Andy is a fantastic host - communication is easy and prompt. This is our second stay at the apartment and I’m sure we will be back.

We had a great time at Andisha’s place. Ace location, very handy for shops, cafes, boozers. It was perfect for our family of four and would defo stay there again.

A cute, cosy house in a great part of the city. Nice garden too - could imagine enjoying breakfast there in the summer months. Very prompt and full communication from Andisha. It was nice to be able to check-in early and to have the possibility of late check-out. Second bedroom is rather small but perfect for our purposes. Would definitely use again.

Andisha's accommodation is a very cosy and quiet house, yet there are shops, bus stops and amenities just round the corner. I stayed with my parents for a weekend and we loved it. Andisha's is responsive, clear and welcoming. I recommend this accommodation if you want some peace after a hectic day in town.

I stayed here with my daughter and her 7 year old twin daughters - we arrived at Chloe's house, no problem - her instructions were perfect. The house was very clean, beautifully and tastefully furnished and once we got the heating going lovely and warm. For a small terrace house it is very roomy indeed. The eating area sits 6 people easily, the living room is very cosy with a sofa for 3 and an armchair and poof. The tv had Netflix, Prime, amazon etc so there was enough to see on any wet days. The 2 bedrooms are really spacious with plenty of cupboard or drawer space. The bathroom is small but totally adequate with a shower in the bath. The only 'shock' were the two flights of very steep stairs up - (we had to be really careful going up and down) so not suitable for small children, the elderly or anyone with a handicap of any sort. Chloe was super helpful with any questions we had, replying immediately. We can definitely recommend staying at her house - only a short walk from shops too.

We enjoyed our stay at Chloe’s house. The house was very clean and comfortable. The dining table is a lovely place to sit! The shower is great - as is the duvet in the main bedroom. We had no problem parking just outside and the check in is easy. The stairs up to the top room are very steep so not for those with mobility problems. If you’re there on the weekend, it’s only a short walk to the Park Run round the corner!

The location is great - Hillsborough has plenty of local facilities and public transport links are excellent. Chloe is friendly and very quick to respond to queries. Hui Zhen is a really nice host. Everything is clean and tidy.

Could not recommend Zhen enough! I was interning for 2 months at the University of Sheffield and my fellow interns and I all stayed at Zhen’s flat. The location is right next to a bus stop that takes you into the city and next to a grocery store. Zhen herself is one of the kindest, most selfless people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting and I will miss her dearly.

This was excellent value for money. The room was warm, clean and quiet as were the other areas of the house. Hui Zhen is a great host, she made us feel very welcome.

Just got back from Sheffield where I had a great stay at Zhen’s place. Two things spring to mind: First, I enjoyed staying at Zhen’s place as she’s an amazing host. Travelling to Sheffield, she helped me sorting out the public transport; while being there she regularly inquired after my whereabouts and advised me to places and trips. As my departure approached, I mistakenly thought that the public transport wouldn’t operate due to construction. Then she even offered me a ride to the station, which shows was a good human being she is. Secondly, I want to compliment the place. The bus 95 stops right in front of the doorstep, which takes one to the station and university. The ASDA supermarket is just around the corner. And I walked a handful of times to the city center, to some museums, and to the university as well. In summary, I would recommend this stay to fellow travelers.

Lovely house in a great area

Naomi is quick to respond and a helpful host. The house is cosy and decorated with interesting artwork. The bedroom is spacious with a comfy bed. The area is reasonably quiet - I was able to get a nice long sleep!

The room and the bathroom are clean and nice. Naomi and her husband are friendly.

A true home away from home - The room and bathroom were spotless, the bed heavenly and the location was just lovely - Rivelin valley is gorgeous and so well placed for the Peak District and the city. Ros is a wonderfully thoughtful host, providing everything from a kettle in the room, bathroom products, books and tips on the area and a refreshing continental breakfast. Ros is a friendly and welcoming host. We felt very at home in her house. We also enjoyed meeting her lovely dog Benny. She put out continental breakfast for us every morning. Information about the area was provided in the welcome pack and Ros was always happy to help with tips. The area itself was very nice and a perfect location for our purposes. I would recommend as a base for Sheffield as it has good transport links to the city centre and easy access to walking trails towards the peaks. This was a very pleasant "first time" air bnb experience for us and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Thank you Ros!

Ros is one of the best hosts my friend and I have ever had on Airbnb. She had so many thoughtful touches - it felt just like we were old friends welcomed in her home! She has an extensive knowledge of the area, went over and beyond to accommodate our travels and make our stay comfortable, and there was always an offer of tea! What more could you want?! I can’t recommend Ros’ place enough.

Lovely location with the Rivelin valley walks literally couple of minutes walk down the road. Lots of fab industrial history to explore, remnants of old Mills, Sheffield's industrial past all overgrown with trees now. Plus butterflies, and saw wagtails, dippers, tree sparrow and the local heron, plus bats. Ros is a mine of useful local information. Great base to get out to the peaks too

Situated beside an idyllic valley and forest, which provided us with a picturesque walk every day. We thoroughly apreciated the peace and calm during our stay. Conveniently close to the tram station, as well as the centre of town. Ros is a wonderful host, who is very engaging, while also giving us plenty of privacy. We felt warmly welcomed from the moment we arrived, and a complimentary breakfast was thoughtfully provided each morning. Highly recommended.

Graham's house is really a gem in a beautiful and quiet neighbourhood of Sheffield; it is a lovely and spotless three-storeys house equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Within walking distance you can find everything you need, from supermarkets and restaurants to cozy cafes with a character. Transportation is very easy and frequent with a bus going to the city centre and the university in just few minutes time. Our communication with Graham and his brother David has been exceptional, as well. Graham responded to my rather last-minute request extremely fast and was able to have the house ready for us in few hours. David welcomed me and mother with a big smile, showed us around, answered all our questions and gave me additional valuable information about Sheffield. All in all, if you are looking for an enjoyable and comfortable stay in Sheffield with amazing afternoon views and an attentive host, I would recommend you to consider Graham's house without any reservation!

The house is well furnished and well equipped. It is convenient for shops that are open late. We were greeted personally when we arrived and given a comprehensive tour. Our hosts stayed in touch during our stay. The view from the lounge window is stunning.
